Headed out with Sharkiefan for an epic 2 days of super crazy caching in Oamaru! Needed to get a caching fix since within Chch I'm only going for one a day to be able to continue my streak as long as possible! We found a total of 78 caches! Hehe Epic weekend all round! And thanks to all the Oamaru and surroundings cachers who made our trip totally the best and caching happy as!
Drove straight up to this one, and sharkiefan pretty much had her hands on the cache before I even managed to get out of the car!! Sweet... I was then off to look at where we would head off to next!!

Reperio at 1420.
Came by here with Roostaman today on a brief stop to find some caches on our way through to Geraldine, and for a simple drive by cache, the views were very nice of the harbour. This one took us about a minute longer than it should've as we were practically staring straight past it.

Day three of the trek south to the NZ Mega.
After staying in Oamaru for night two, it was time to head to Dunedin. We'd had a cooked breakfast in an Oamaru bakery and grabbed a few caches in town before heading south. This was one of the caches we found. My thanks to Bitsprayer for the cache.

Today we headed from Oamaru to Dunedin, enjoying even more of this scenery
and friendly Kiwis, and finding a great variety of clever and educational caches along the way.
Thanks again waitiki999

This was one of 69 caches for the day along with bogonghazy enroute from Oamaru to Dunedin for NZ Mega. We had sunshine, rain, snow and wind throughout the day. But still got to enjoy a greats days caching. Thanks to the CO and greetings from Oz.
On a caching trip with ingidayna to Oamaru and surrounds to get 1000 finds. TFTC
Nice views from this vantage spot but was very windy. Luckily the cache hadn't been blown away. TFTC
This site holds a commanding view of Friendly Bay below. Some geo experience helps with locating this cache.
It's confirmed I am blind, the cache was there all the time. Must have past my hand over it numerous times before. I thought I only needed my glasses for reading, must remember to take them caching also. Thanks to Caiktin for reassuring me the cache was still there.
I have searched high and low. Flattened all the grass at GZ. Left no stone unturned. Checked under every blade of grass. It must be muggled or I am blind. Im the blind geocacher!! Please tell me it has been muggled.
Younger sister did a rubbish job of muggle-lookout. A couple walked past just as Geomum was putting the cache back ... Lovely. Found and signed reasonably quickly.
Visiting from the UK with my brother, was not aware of the early DNF, question if the cache is still there.
FOUND THE CACHE FAIRLY EASILY

Quick find. Amazing how you can turn driving up the wrong street into an advantage. TFTC
As the reason we came to NZ was to celebrate Clare's Birthday we were being taken out for a meal (and a very good one it was) so came a little early and did a little caching.
The views from up here are fab. the cache a little harder to find

1.45pm. Found without difficulty after admiring the view from near GZ. The sea was crashing in over the breakwater - quite spectacular. Unfortunately the lid of the cache cannister was not on properly and the log inside was saturated. We replaced the log with a temporary sheet of paper.

Had to scramble about a bit for this one, then the GPS settled down and realised I'd scrambled about unnecessarily. Nice to do a few more of the local ones. My 250th! TFTC.

1430hrs A nice quick find. Parked, found it and off. 'The Italian Job was here......!' Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Would be nice living up here, doesn't look like much work is going towards it. Great views TFTC
Didn't have a map over this area in my phone (which I use as a GPSr), so I parked my car much further up the hill and walk through the grass to this cache. Somebody was sitting in a car very close to it, but I could search for it and log it anyway. Quite nice view over the town, the harbor, and the sea from this place. TFTC!
Found it on our tour.
Thanks for hiding.

Had to wait for a muggle and his K9 to leave the area before we could get this cache, but after that it was easy. TFTC TNLNSL (1354)
Thanks to BaldEd we could log our visit. Quick find on our way back from Sunrise Sunset.
Another wet and mouldy film canister cache. Removed the paper mache and replaced with a small scrap of paper and a silica gel sachet. Cache needs a new logbook (and a more waterproof container).
found it today as the sun set making oamaru look very picturesque from this vantage point. cache was soaking wet though and the log paper was mouldy and unreadable
Quick find. Like the previous logs -the log is soaked. Signed the paper they left. TFTC (682)
