On a big adventure from Canberra to Esperance and back to celebrate a year of good things (Happy Birthday Krispystrips). Today was day 11 of our journey and we continued our meander across the Nullabor covering the stretch from The Head of the Bite to Mundrabilla Roadhouse. Our day began with incredible views of whales swimming and nursing their young in the bay. We then explored caves and lockouts and chased photos of some local birds an all round delightful day. There is always so much more to see on these drives than we ever have time to do, but we cram in as much as we can! Grabbed this cache as we travelled along with Krispystrips and GLISS! Thanks for the cache.
Quickly found with Nibletricecakes and KrispyStrips on our Road to Esperance trip. TFTC.

Good cacheI replaced the plastic bag inside as it had a hole. The silica gel you had in there is a good idea

Definitely put a fav on that one !! Such a cool cache and impressive story ! Good on you martinx you managed it with a happy ending and a everlasting memory TFTC
We are gradually making our way back east after a wonderful time spent in Western Australia. Blue skies and a light winter breeze and some spectacular fuse along this drive today. This was the first place we stopped today to take a break and stretch the legs before we continue up this road. Thanks martinx Domsky
Great story.. says me from the comfort of a vehicle that isn't stopped in the outback. There's no better reason to place a cache. And you had time.... TFTC martinx.
On our travels we stopped to grab this cache, I nice quick find when you look in the right place, thanks for placing it
Thats a great story! Thanks for sharing, everyones nightmare to breakdown in the outback. Left an earring and a sticker. STL TFTC
Making our way home to the SW of WA after attending The Great Leap Forward Mega event in Adelaide. Grabbing caches here and there along the Highway as we go, if there is room for car and van.Last night we camped a few kms east of Nullarbor Roadhouse, we were later joined by two wizzbangers and a truck, and apparently a few other trucks that I didnt hear pull up , didnt hear them leave either and they would have been less than 50m from us, oops I slept well .Thankfully there was enough room to park off the Hwy and me walk across to the cache. A nice easy find and off to the next we goTFTC
Added a rock to the cairn and found the cache. Were travelling west and loving the caches to break up the journey. Tftc
TFtC took a bit of hunting as GZ lead us to the wrong spot. No mobile reception so not sure if our coords were accurate.
After spending a few days in Gawler it was time for to drive my mums (well my car now) from Gawler back to Perth. This was day two travelling from Streaky Bay to Border Village on a 5 day 3,100km adventure. It was very bleak and cold morning 13c bult felt like 5 in Ceduna and the temp did get somewhat better later in the day. Did not have a jumper as i left Perth in a heatwave and arrived to one in SA. .Ended up buying a jumper at Ceduna. Now for a contrast the day before ranged between 36 and 45!!!And there are hundreds of signs saying do not drive tired so geocaching helped with that. The weather did eventually turn out nice for a while. I stopped by here and added my rock to the collection.Found lots of caches on the trip. Thanks for the cache and making me get out and stretch martinx.
This cache is all about the story and we are glad to make the stop and add to the cairn. Tftc
Found as we made our way westward along the Eyre Highway searching for caches that I'd passed by on previous trips. By the end of this drive I'll have now found all the caches in proximity to the highway, with just a few outliers remaining for another time. Thanks for the cache martinx!
What an amazing story and well done for thinking to place a cache while waiting! A great little park and grab, the hint definetely helped to make it quick
Thank you martinx for placing and LA Lancer for maintaining Martin's Seat for us and others to find and enjoy.

Found it TFTC Found in good condition. Took a minute to figure out the Nat sign has moved GPS good
Another stop on the way across
Brad and Janet are on another epic journey. This time it involves many of Len Beadell’s 6500km of roads including the Anne Beadell, the Connie Sur, the Heather, the Neale, the Gun Barrel Highway, the Gary, the Talawana Track, the Gary Junction Rd and more.
And of course a 2 day visit to Maralinga which Len also located, surveyed and largely built as he had with Woomera and Emu. An amazing man.
If you don’t know of him he wrote some wonderful books. Laconic with a dry sense of wit, they are an excellent read. They are also available as audiobooks as is a recording of his brilliant after dinner talk one evening in Shepparton. Worth a listen.
And now the Moon Tours trip is over we are heading back to Adelaide via whichever way takes our fancy after a few days rest and repair in Karratha. Almost certainly down the WA Coast before heading to Hyden and the land of the Salmon Gums.

On a big road trip to Perth - Brim, Paruna, Murray Town, Kooma View Farmhouse, Penong, Nullarbor Roadhouse, Mundrabilla Roadhouse, Caiguna Roadhouse, Norseman, Kalgoorlie and Wave Rock. Today we are exploring the Bunda Cliffs as we head to our next stop at Mundrabilla Roadhouse and picking up some caches along the way. Once we turned off the Highway and found a spot to park the Geo4WD and camper it was a relatively quick easy find and we did add another rock to the cairn, TFTC and sharing your story. TNLN.
Oops...we forgot to download this cache for offline. We wandered around hoping, hoping.....nearly about to give up and we found it. Yay! TFTC
Without the hint, would have searched the cairn even longer. Windy cold day. Tftc
After wandering around W.A. for the last 3 months searching for Wildflowers and caches we are slowly heading home. Added a rock or 2. T.F.T.C
Found it during our trip to Mundrabilla.
Of course we added one limestone per team member
Thanks for showing and the story:)

Was just writing down any unfounded caches to nab on the way home and came to this one. Reread the story and then the hint and realised I had found it on the way over. Remember the sign but not any cairn. Anyway, log signed so tftc
I'm pretty sure my husband found the BIGGEST rock in the entire area, and added it to your seat/ cairn.
I read the story to him and we had a laugh...

#2469 - Visiting the west coast all the way from the east coast, enjoying the wildflowers and everything else that comes our way, including geocaches.
Didn't have time on the way to WA, but on the way back we take it a bit slower. I was determined to get this cache as I loved the story attached to it. Deserves a FAV from me too.
You rock Martin and TFTC

Great story ,and apart of geo history now. Added to the cairn, signed the log and replaced.
Thanks Martin and LA Lancer. A FP added for the info. Heading towards Koonadla Caves and we'll keep an eye out for any subsidence on the way .

A miniature of the larger one. Cache and log are okay, and it's now a micro. TFTC martinx.
Love this story It would have been pretty tedious waiting here as there is not much to do. Lots of scrub and saltbush. Good job there is a cache here now to keep people entertained.
What an interesting story - would have been scary at the time though. Even though we have mobile phones nowadays they certainly aren't always within range of reception. Thanks for the break in the journey and for not hiding it in the big rock pile!
Another parkacruz adventure, happy to say we came up trumps here today and walked away with a smiley TFTC
What an amazing story. Ironically I got bitten by an ant while I was collecting stones for the cairn. TFTC martinx (with maintenance assist from LA Lancer)
A great story for this cache. Glad you made it out alright and the rocks aren't memorial. TFTC
I wanted to stop here on the way to WA but it was pouring with rain so I promised to do it on the way back. Today we drive back and once again it's raining! But we stopped and found it anyway. Such a contrast to your story. A favourite point for such a memorable story thanks
Found it. TFTC Martinx. I took one look and I thought is it under there, OMG. Quick find here and replaced as found.
Wow, what a story!
I found the cache out in the open, away from its mini-cairn, and it looked badly chewed. I’m thinking wombats? I’ve replaced with a mint tin. If this also gets molested by animals, can someone please let me know, and I’ll stop using them in locations like this.
The cairn just got bigger too.
Thanks for the cache and sharing this experience with us martinx.

We were camped up an hour or so down the road on the cliffs and took a day trip out to visit the homestead and Caves.
Tftc, an absolutely awesome place.
Backdating to the 20-6-21 due to no service to log the cache

What a good place for a leg stretch and a smilie on our map before we get to the border. I bet the flys drove you mad waiting for the mechanic here! All good with the cache log signed and replaced as found. Thanks martinx.
A nice easy park and grab while heading back east.
Thanks for the cache martinx.

Two days of solid driving from Adelaide to Perth and we still find time to collect a few smiles along the way.
The pile is very good for hiding loo paper by the looks of it.

Today was our second day of driving to Perth for a family holiday and of course, this meant more caching along the way. It was a pleasant trip today with excellent weather (it was a lot cooler than yesterday) and a day with some unique and quality finds. As the day progressed, we finally got into W.A. and in no time at all we cleared the border check and we were on our way again (obviously doing a few of the caches on the boarder). The scenery along the way was some of the best we saw on the drive, stopping at multiple lookouts along the Great Australian Bite. As the day wore on and the sun sank lower and lower into the sky we found a place to pull over and camp for the evening after an enjoyable days travel and geocaching.
