Thankfully it was fairly quiet along here this morning, allowing for a quick find and replace before any more muggles turn up, TFTC
It's day 8 of my 3-week bucket list road trip around South Island. Today, I'm heading from Wanaka to Te Anau in preparation for a trip to Milford Sound tomorrow. A straightforward find upon arrival in Te Anau. I normally avoid doing nanos, but I made an exception here because I was parked very close to GZ ... and the hint was very helpful. Thanks for placing this cache for the enjoyment of all.
Automatic translation:EN : logbook full Dinner finished, we took advantage of the fact that it was not raining to take a digestive walk. We stop at this spot to look for the cache there. This logbook is full but we manage to find a place to enter our nickname. Thank you to all the installers for the work carried out for our greatest pleasure. Greetings from France. Our Travel Bugs pass through this cache but do not come out of our backpack; they continue the adventure with us. Trip to New Zealand, decided very quickly , but that didn't stop us from preparing a small file of caches to search, as far as possible. The GC46 was, of course, at the top of that list! and there you have it, we visited it during our stay in Wellington. Yesss!! Our program should allow us to discover a large part of this country.FR : Logbook pleinLe dner termin, nous profitons qu'il ne pleuve pas pour faire une balade digestive. A nice easy find even after a good dinner and a beer Looked at it form afar also before the dinner, but the every tourist in Te Anau was walking by, so considered it hopeless and went for a dinner. After that - no problems Thanks for the little one!
I couldnt find it last year when I was here. Finally found it this timeI am visiting from NSW Australia TFTC
Fun find with friends.Found by Mrs Spreyton22, her first international cache.Greetings from Tasmania, Australia.
Staying at the local hotel we just finished laundry and were craving pizza for dinner so down we came. While we waited for the pizza I went off to do some geocaches. This was quite an easy find. Stamped the log but its didnt seem to dry so can send pic if needed.
CaptainVimes and I have crossed the pond to attend the Geo Toroa mega in Dunedin and tour around the South Island for two weeks.Quickly spotted after a short search. Thanks kitcooper and happy caching
Staying the night before heading out to Milford Sound. Stopped in a store to buy Halloween decor, then noticed a nearby cache. Thanks for a quick find. All is well here.
Day 4 of our NZ mega mega holiday with The_Tritonz: Today is all about Milford Sound. After spending the morning on a spectacular Milford Sound cruise, we slowly wound our way back to Te Anau via the other sights of interest along the way. After a lovely dinner at The Ranch, we had time for "just one more" before heading back to our accommodation. TFTC kev n chris and kitcooper.
After enjoying a filling dinner across the road we wandered over to make a very quick find here. Thanks kitcooper for the placement.
Easy found, nice little town.Grtz from the Netherlands. No pen.... so fotolog
#4012 Today is day 20 of my geocaching vacation in New Zealand. I'm doing the Milford Sound couch, cruise, and walk tour from Te Anau and finding geocaches along the way. After the tour, I found more geocaches in Te Anau before dark. Found it after dinner. kev n chris (maintained by kitcooper), thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan on October 20, 2024 @ 18:44:25[GC17YTV] Ata Whenua (Shadowland) (Fiordland) was a D1.5/T1.5 Other Traditional Cache at the time of finding.
Thanks for showing us this location! Easy find but very nicely done, such that you can grab the cache without drawing too much attention to yourself. TFTC Greetings from *Sweden*
Easy find, but very crowded on a late Thursday afternoon. Didn't want to fiddle with the log for too long so I didn't physically sign.TFTC from Germany!
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we looked outside this morning & double checked the weather forecast decided that it was going to be a great day for a walk walked into town & thought about two caches & an Ad Lab wasnt thinking were were going to get this one in the mall but it ended up be reasonably calm & free from people ended up being an easy find, logbook completed & successfully replaced, dont think there were any muggles looking were pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,117 for us!
We are visiting New Zealand for 2 weeks on a family holiday from Brisbane. Today we were booked on a Milford Sound cruise and so headed north along the road from Te Anua. Unfortunately the road was closed and, after a lovely walk up to Marian Falls while we were waiting, we learned that it would not reopen today. I had hoped to stop at a few places on the way home from Milford but we didnt have lunch with us so after a couple of stops we headed back to town to get some food. With the afternoon free, I left the family to rest at home and headed out to find a few caches around Te Anau. After a successful afternoon I headed back home, collected the family and we went into town for dinner. After finishing his meal, GeoM was restless and I suggested I go for a walk with him while the others finished theirs. But really it was just an excuse to grab one more geocache that was just down the road. GeoM was excited and hoping he would find it but because of the height I had to be the one to grab it. A nice easy find and a clever spot to hide a cache. Thanks kitcooper!
Nice Nano cache that was fairly easy to find. Log was too tight in container to get out, so didn't sign. I felt paper would tear first and that it may have expanded with some moisture.Found with Bloodsoakedrose from Sydney Australia.
Found after a quick bus transition after a Doubtful Sound tour for the day. Located quickly but had trouble removed log with cold fingers and no tools. Thanks.
This one was the last quick cache before returning to the camper park and preparing our dinner. After a quick search I was able to find it and can now turn another cache into a smiley on my GC map.TFTC #485
The tiniest geocache we've ever found! Thank you for placing it, from Staci and Jarred, from Australia
Needed to use my phone to look for this one since Im short. This one is ohhhhh sooooo tiny. Thanks for adding a smiley to my day.
It looks like Ata Whenua has been muggled/lost.I have ordered a new Nano and it will be in place ASAP.Apologies if you were looking forward to finding this cache.kitcooper
Had a good look but we couldnt find it. The clue didnt seem to give us the right spot unless its been muggled. TFTC though
