Today stortigirls (well me and one geoteen hostage) went on an Island hopping adventure with RhoBoCacher. We enjoyed the ferries, the lovely weather, discovering the Islands, and of course embarrassing the geoteen. Cache was found in good order and log signed. Tftc jabes7
Out with Stortigirls and one geoteen and our plan was to go Island hopping after a short walk we found this one nice and easy and we saw some ducks in the pond. Pity it looked polluted on the top of the water. Now onto the next one TFTC
Swapped green marker for Oz key ring. Geo-doggie loving view of duck on lagoon! Thx for cache.

Greetings from the UK
Spending the day on the Island ferry from our base at Redland Bay.
First job was to call in for an ice-cream, then strolled along to GZ.
Straightforward find with the good hint.
Some mozzies about!!

Yes! Found this one, go with the hint and trust your iPhone compass and you can't go wrong. TFTC and thanks jabes7 for bringing us to this spot. So peaceful. :^D
Yup, took us an embarrassingly long time to find it. Haha. We left a trackable. Kids crying and I thought we might have to give up. Haha.
Out and about with Blake (now 4) for a bit of a boat trip and some exploration. We ended up on Lamb Island and went in search of the two caches on the island.
The cool shade near the lagoon was great and made for a relaxing search. After a bit of scratching around the cache was found.
Thanks for the cache jabes7. Cheers!!

Not feeling very well, still, but I was going a bit stir crazy after a few weeks cooped up at home, so I convinced Fangsoki to take me to the Bay Islands for a little wander. (well, ok, he doesn't take much convincing). Never been here, so worth the look. The sun was out, the wind was down, the sea air beckoned ... so off we went and caught an early ferry to Island number #3, from Karragarra to Macleay to Lamb Island.
A short walk along the roads and through the field and we found ourselves on Lavender st facing a Lagoon. This looked promising, and with accurate coordinates (they are), a very detailed description, good weather, no muggles (well, a few birds, but they ignored us), and some 10,000 odd finds between the two of us .... it took embarrassingly way too long to find this cache. But thankfully it was revealed, and between us wondering what's wrong with us today we did manage to get both names in the logbook successfully. Rehid as found.
Sadly, upon leaving the area to the next cache we missed a rather obvious road and took the long way around to that one. All up a forgettable moment for our blogs.
Thanks for placing this cache, jabes7. Found in good condition.

10,000 finds between Pprime and I - do you think we could find this one easily?
We had arrived on Lamb Island to tackle some caches. This was our first. Thankfully, we managed to follow our nose straight to this one... as good old Lavender Street does not appear on any map we had.
We arrived at GZ and started our hunt. Neither of us could see a likely hide for a small - let along a "regular". Embarrassment I tried reading back in the logs. Nothing for me.
Then Pprime announced he found it. OK - that's fairly hidden well. The hint was good - we just weren't looking hard enough apparently. The cache was in good condition. We signed the log and put it back as found.
A lovely little lagoon inhabited by ducks and some kind of spoonbills today. TFTC jabes7

Lagoon was nice and full with a nice flow across the crossing. Cache in good condition. Thanks !
Pretty easy find, just alot of fallen trees so the hint isn't that helpful. #noaffect
teamdfl and I are tripping around the islands today, making use of the Redland Bay ferry service. Very pleased they let us take our bikes on board!
This newbie bike rider's legs were very tired after the ride around Macleay Island, so I was glad the two caches on this island are at a much more attainable distance from the ferry At this one's GZ we tried to follow the Hint, but in the end the co-ords were sufficient. TFTC, jabes7.

Out and about with IolantheK on another freaky Friday. A nice cruisey day. A great day out with the geocycles and the ferries.
We had planned to do this a while ago, but the weather that day was terrible. The forecast was not good for today either, but at least it would be warm even if it did rain.
A short hop to island #3. Our maps did not show a good way to access this one, but we found the right way by chance. This one had us searching for a while. Took the GPSr a while to settle.

Cache back in place. Sorry for the delay. Pathtag in the cache - yours to keep for the next finder.
The coords for the white tree are
S 027 37.626
E 153 22.501
Writing on east side
Two fallen trees within five metres but didn't find the cache. Recent rain could have floated a Sistema away

I've looked for the cache, and also emailed the last finder to see if she could tell me where it was moved to. I will go back and have another look as there hasn't been a response to my email.
Used the hints to search around Southside of path to no avail. Compass bearing wants us to looks 40 meters to north. Spread search out over whole area for about 1 hr 30 still didn't find. Moving onto next one. To vague to find.
Yay found it this is my first cache me and my gf were having a picnic on king island earlier today and a cacher came along and found this case and explained it all to me and i went and found this one before i went home.
ps. i moved the box into a better spot still really close hidden at the base of a small fallen tree, also within 5 metres of a large white trunked gum tree with the word cache and a question mark on it

The cache has been replaced with a large sistema while I source a new ammo can. The cache is at the base of a tree which has now been knocked down. Hint altered accordingly.

Ever sensitive to the environment, Redland City Council has bulldozed a 2 metre wide path through this previously beautiful nature track, and laid white gravel. The tree in the photo hint was bulldozed and the ammo can buckled by the bulldozer.
Taken home for repair and will try and find somewhere to rehide it. Sadly the lagoon will not be as nice a place to visit now.

Cache #3 on our Anniversary day out.
In the process of getting the pram through the track without injuring it, myself or little chicken we went straight past it. had to do a quick retreat, find, log, rehide, run back and then we still missed the next ferry.
Oh well
Tigey Wigey, Piglet and little chicken

First cache on the island of a lovely day out island hopping for caches. Very quiet part of the world just here. Cache is certainly close to the track, dropped off Canadian trackable. TFTC, and off to the next cache on the island.
A pretty location and with the clue a nice easy find. Thanks for getting it back up and running jabes7. It was just in time for us to find it one year to the day from the last find. Fun indeed. Thanks
Original container back in action. Lots of non native trees cut down so not much cover - keep a look out!
There have been a lot of (non-native) trees cut down here over the last few weeks - went to check yesterday and the cache is gone. It will be replaced, hopefully with the original as I know who might have found it.
My first attempt at caching and ...success !! A very pleasant spot and popular with the local mozzies too.
TNLNSL. Both myself and my 8 yr old son are proud of ourselves and off to hunt down some more.
Carefully rehid after a happy snap.

Really enjoyed my day geocaching with Alchemy2 and it was my first find. Beautiful spot. Thanks!
Beautiful scene here.. lots ducks were swimming happily. Hunting for the day with Ozmyru on bicycle around here.
Found it nicely. Log it and replace safe.
Thanks for bring us here.
Cheers

A suprising little place this - guess there must be a spring here. The bats also suprised us as with their racket as they complained about our presence below their bedroom! Cache was on plain view (uncovered) so we hid it a bit better in the same place. Wierd how that vine has eaten into the tree.

Out for a day of caching, relaxing, cycling, and island hopping on the bay islands. Fantstic spot for a cache.
found with smeeagain and island girl lorraine lots of water birds showing off as we went by nice hide tnln tftc sl
Jabes7 accompanied us to the area but let us do the searching.
Thanks Jabes7 for the hospitality in your little bit of paradise. We were accompanied by Ros, Coral, CM and Don on a day of island hopping and stopped off for a cuppa and a chat.
Dropped in my new silver Australian Emu geocoin for Jabes7 to retrieve to get it moving.

Number 4 for the day during a great day out to the islands. Discovered a shortcut from "lamb's revenge" which bought us some time and ensured me made it back to the ferry in time. Beautiful spot. Thanks for another enjoyable cache. TNLN
The mozzies were a bit thick today. Bee3 found the cache after a bit of direction from JABES7. Lovely spot. Dropping TB which accompanied us today. TFTC
Thought I'd check the caches after the Event. Went to this one today, and I have to report that the Alien TB isn't there. Will followup and try and locate him.
Now this cache I remember - too many caches on the day out for Island time - and too be perfectly truthful MrsMad did too much gossiping with so many people. The geocaching log diary did not get filled in today. Was all a bit muddy around the cache but it was found and the log was signed. Thanks for the cache and the wonderful day out Jabes7.
The picture clue really helped and we were able to show a few fellow cachers who hadn't printed theirs out. Left a motorcycle dude. Thanks.
This is a lovely spot teaming with wildlife.[:0] The lagoon was the first cache we attempted after being beaten to a GCA moveable hidden on the same island.
You were right about the mozzies, Jabes! I've never seen so many on one patch of skin in my life!
We swapped;
IN : A chalk egg and a mini torch
OUT: a little car and a sheet of stickers.
We also took a geocoin to move on. [^]

Now this is a nice part of Lamb Island we missed the last time we visited. Found the cache with little trouble, but I think the photo was a bit misleading. That vine-wrapped tree wasn't quite as big as we thought . TN/LN/SL. Had to use the Aeroguard in buckets as swarms of mozzies are guarding this one. I think 'jabes7' must have been collecting them for the occasion .
As mentioned, we were thinking the tree was much larger. You can see what happens here if it rains a little. Hopefully the cache wont have any problems. Mongy found the cache while looking with Fehrgo and Mr MadMyers. Signed and headed toi the last cache of the island
The lagoon is a lovely quiet and picturesque spot to poke around for a cache
A big thanks to all the previous finders today for taking all the mozzies with them. I didn't see any
It was fun squishing through the mud in thongs too
TFTC, I took the round the world geocoin.

Well, again I think we can claim a FTF on this one despite the 2 earlier finds YESTERDAY!!! This is a pretty little part of Lamb Island despite the abundance of mozzies and baby cane toads and beautiful butterflies. The ducks and waterlillies all added to the 'pond picture'

Found with Geo Pilots, Urdera, hothead and The Lost Bunch during Island Time!
Nice little lagoon... and I agree with the comment about the tree photo being misleading! Luckily the mozzies were not too bad here, so there was some time to enjoy the location before moving off to the next cache on the list.
TFTC and the great event.

This really is a beautiful spot - just stopping still for too long is a mistake because the mossies could carry you off. TNLN. thanks jabes7
Found in the company of Keightvee and the Myers. The mozzies lead the way to the cache TFTC!
*#@%! Mozzies! Picked up the 'king' (I'm a leo too and he comes from my home town.)Nice lagoon in the middle of the island. Thanks Jabes7 for hiding this one, I really did go the scenic way from this one to russelling in the bush, trying to work out if I was going down a road or somebody's driveway made me do some u turns.
Found with Urdera, The Lost Bunch, CaleD and HotHead as part of the Island Time event cache. TNLN SL TFTC
the beuty of paperless cacheing is proven, the bad thing is you have to save the picture clues(dohh)a little help from fellow cachers and all was revealed.

First to log online the day before the event while out with Jabes to check on caches ... but not the first to find! The Pirate cheated and grabbed this one the day before the event. Seeing that it had already been plundered, I logged my find for today as well rather than coming back tomorrow. Can't trust these pirates. Come on, Pirate, log your find online!!! [B)] TFTC, Jabes!
