Decided to take this back road which seems much more scenic than the highway.
Lots of water around at the moment but all was good here. Cache was found after a short search

Out and about today with Geowife and Geodog exploring the local area. What a beautiful river. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
On my way home now after spending couple nights camping near Condo. Weather is the opposite to my drive up here, its cold wet and windy. Decided to go a different way home, via Narrandera and grab a few caches along the way.
Quick find along this old road. Nice view of the creek. TFTC!

This made us walk through bush at 12:50 midnight, but once we got there it was easy to spot.
Followed the back way from Narrandera, mainly to get this cache. A lovely drive me stop by the river. We thought we might be muffled out, but they were a little distance away, sitting right by the water. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
Was travelling the road nearby looking at access points to the river. So grabbed this cache on the way past. Like the previous finders, the GPS took us to the wrong tree. Find in good condition.
Tankengine and I were traveling homeward bound. The last stretch of our trip today and should be home tonight. The over all trip was very good. Full of good food, good wine, good company and good caches. Thanks Tankengine for an awesome holiday.
This cache: Really nice spot. Went to the wrong tree at first. But found soon enough. Tftc hoogs!!!

Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73 on our SA Road Trip! So nice that the borders are slowly starting to open! Thanks hoogs
What a lovely spot and a bonus camp place also as we drove past. If we had not already set up for the night we would definitely stay at the 5 mile rest spot. All is good with the cache. SL TFTC
Found during an epic long weekend of quality caching around the Riverina with fitzy_1965. Lots of km's covered including some fun wheeling in the beautiful countryside meant for a thoroughly enjoyable trip
Quick find and sign for us here. A bit of a worry that the rivier level is very low.
Thanks for the hide, hoogs

18,518. Found during a meander west of Wagga with specimenX.
This trip we decided to go for crossing off previous DNFs and to try for harder/longer to get caches deep in forests and reserves. This was one nicely placed cache along the way in an interesting location. Quick find and sign of the cache.
Thanks hoogs !!

Found at lunchtime on a cold, foggy day. This is a lovely spot; we’ve marked it as a possible overnight stop on our way back home in a few weeks. Cache is in good condition.

Found by Mary and David at 1240. What a lovely spot. We had lunch at Narrandera Bakery, and are on our way to West Wyalong tonight on Day 2 of our holiday. As the weather has warmed since we left home, Mary has now been able to shed her scarf and gloves. Our thanks to hoogs.
I have a free day… let’s go caching. I decided on finding the last section of the ‘RGGT Trail’ and the loose caches between the final of the trail and Narrandera. It feels so good to have finally finished the ‘RGGT Trail’ and off my To-Do-List. I started this trail on the 31 October 2016 and finished it on 26 November 2018 which is a 757 day journey. This includes 5 attempts and lots of fun and laughs.
Day #1 (31/10/16): Caches #1 to #19
Day #2 (05/04/18): DNF’s from #1 to #19
Day #3 (17/04/18): Caches #20 to #32
Day #4 (25/07/18): Caches #33 to #61
Day #5 (26/11/18): Caches #62 to #81 (A.K.A. Final)
It was such a nice drive around the county side with a clear sky, a lot of wildlife running/flying around and getting lost in Matong Forest. I did eventually find my way after nearly an hour of driving and walking around the area. Before heading home, I had lunch at Subway in Narrandera. On some of the smaller logbooks I signed as 26/11 JM and TB visit on all found caches today. I would like to thank Riverina Geocaching for the great trail and to all other CO’s of the other caches I found and for the fun I had while finding them.

Found on our way home to Ballarat after a short holiday in Canberra for a few days and then West Wyalong for two nights visiting family. Today was a relatively short day of driving by the geocache trail and we made Cobram for the night. It was nice to get off the highway for a bit to get this cache. The river is very full at the moment. Good to see. TFTC Hoogs.
Hi there hoogs.
We found your cache **"Bundingerry"** today. (This makes our find count 19352).
We cached around Ganmain today. We didn't really have a plan, but the aim of the day was to cache along a road we haven't traveled on since we became full time grey nomads. (We can now draw another line on our map).
We enjoyed our day caching, the walks and dirt road drives were really good. Thanks also for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. It made us feel really good to find this "special" cache here.
We found 9 caches today (DNF'd 0) & thoroughly enjoyed our cache raid. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
***Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 12m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book is in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Pooh was out playing poohsticks this morning so it was easy to retrieve this one, thanks
I did enjoy taking this route, despite having to overtake a very large piece of farm machinery trundling along. TFTC TNLN
found it pretty easy
great spot to go fishing as well
I wonder how many have sat next to that tree & didn't even know it was there

After a phone call from Roostaman, we decided to do a caching trip to Narrandera and Leeton.
We traveled along a lot of bus tracks and around the lovely towns, picking up a good variety of hides.
All cache signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, hoogs, for us and others to find.

Christmas holidays, not working, family catchups long overdue, food enough for a small country, summer weather .... and seventy found caches. What a perfect week.
Afternoon boxing day run to clear my Narrandera section of the map ... with Mrs Prime and the Prime mum onboard we headed off towards Grong Grong. My mum grew up here, and has lived in the area most of her life, visiting relatives all over the place, including even Victoria Avenue - this same road further in town. Today was the first time she'd ever been out here. We had a ball of an afternoon. No rubbish in the area, but I couldn't see anything looking like a picnic ground for humans. Did find a cache, although was a bit wary extracting it in case Pooh had Sir Slytherin visiting. All good, carry on.
Thanks for placing this cache, hoogs. Found in good condition.

I parked the geomobile at the local campsite a couple of hundred metres downstream
The locals don't think much of their local area though, judging by the amount of litter (mostly alcohol and MacYuk related)
The more geocaching I do, the more I realise Australians don't care about their country
Still there was a nice stroll along the creek to be had with the birdlife to be seen and even the occasional introduced carp swimming in the water
Better yet the cache was found in fine form and I duly signed the logbook and rehid it

9416 kms travelled in 21 days, one awesome eclipse observed near Mt Carbine in Northern Queensland and 712 cache finds, including a small handle of FTF's.
This was a trip I'd been planning for over 12 months with the main reason being to observe the solar eclipse on the morning of the 14th of November. I had decided to drive to Palm Cove and back, where my penthouse accommodation was located, while the rest of the family flew up and back. I love the drive and the unknown adventures that lay ahead; and I even think the last time I did one this big may have been for the previous eclipse in Australia which occurred over SA.
Apart from the great experiences, awesome scenery, and the characters met, the other reason to drive was to also do some serious caching, with the plan to stop at some power trails along the way including the Fruit Run and A.S. series near Stanthorpe on the way up and the Mid North Coast Wander series, just out of Port Macquarie, on the way back.
I had five days to travel each way with ten days in between spent in Palm Cove holidaying with my family. My route up took me from Melbourne to Tocumwal and up to Glenn Innes, through Toowoomba, Rockhampton and the coast road to Cairns while my route back was a bit more erratic. Heading from Cairns to Townsville then via Charters Towers to Rockhampton. From here it was through the amazing mining region to Roma then across to Dalby down through Stanthorpe (again) to Armidale, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga, Tocumwal and then home - phew.
I followed the Old Narranderra Rd along to Grong Grong before continuing up north along the Newell. A nice easy driveby along side the waterway. Thanks for the hide.

[:(!] On my way back to Griffith after visiting my geoson and his geofamily to pick up a few caches along the long way back, packed the geo car close to GZ and then a short walk, arrived at GZ and within a couple of minutes I had the cache in hand, the cache was out in the open so I replaced it where I thought it should be. Found on our weay back from Leeton to Wagga. Tucked away it was a nice drive-by. Found with Delta-squad
Hadn't passed 1 car since leaving Narrandera, pull up to GZ, and of course a truck & a mouthful of dust. After a quick walk through some long grass the cache was in hand. A beaut spot by the river. Thanks to Hoogs for the cache.

TFTC, Found with Hinco, lovely view of the river passing us by while we filled in the log sheet.
tftc Had a few spider encounters with this one so quickly logged our visit so not to upset too many of them, done with Hinklenator.
A bit further down the road and the rain is steady, the wind is blowing and it is very cold.. But with the cache so close a quick dash and sign was in order. In the sunshine this would be a lovely location to stop for a while and admire the river flowing past. Today, it was all shiver, extract, sign and replace. TNLN.
Overall this route is a great diversion off the Newell. We will be back to do the caches closer to Narrandera when its warmer (and less wet)! Thanks Hoogs.

4th for the day on my way up to Leeton and Griffith. Quick drive by on this one.
Yeah a nice drive by, we even found a great camp further upstream. Cache was nice and dry in Pooh Bears House. TFTC.
A nice little drive-by, although I wasn't too happy about putting my hand into such a hidey hole! TFTC TN and left a weroamin token.
Found with McPhan and Winglen while caching through this pleasant riverbank area.
It is always a bit of scramble when the team leaps out of the car to be first to identify the cache hide - a good location here - nice and quiet (apart from the large white budgies!). Thanks Hoogs.

2288. This was so far back the Winglen and McPhan actually walked to the other side to see if it was easier to get from there, but there is no other side. There were a number of quietish cockatoos across the peaceful river which had some impressive logs - the river not the cockatoos.
