Here we found the flax, but the surroundings were quite destroyed, so didn’t find the cache.
I think the owner should have a look after so many DNF’s.

On an very early morning walk to find some caches, no luck here, the host has been pushed over.
Seeing that I had gone out with big bro, BaldEd, a couple of days ago to locate and sign Survivors # 12 - 33 it was time to locate and sign off the rest also to pick up any other solved puzzles and trads on the way. So it was onto the bikes again for a ride into town.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Mum and I walked the track today to check on the caches after the king tide came through here a few days ago. This one is still all good. We grabbed the TBs to move along. Happy Caching
This cache was the first on the west coast for this year's vacation. Had to wait for some muggles to disappear. Then I dropped some trackables.

A nice easy find but this hot sticky weather is not what we were expecting on the West Coast.

Found quite quickly. Took TB for onward travels. TFTC and greetings from the UK
Hitting Greymouth for a days whistle-stop caching adventure. Forecast rain threatened but it ended up being a hot sunny day! Had the bicycle jammed in the back to ride parts of the trail.
Parked up a bit away; kids rugby nearby, unloaded the bike and biked around and then down the trail. This trail is awesome....quick find and sign then headed back to the car. Sun starting to break through the clouds....

We had to wait for an older (very old) couple to slowly walk past before we could put this one back. Found with debsnz
We generally don't like flax bush caches and the size of this flax bush had us thinking this would take a while, happily it was a quick find. Left TB. Found with AorakiSheep
Cache wasn't hidden at all so signed and tried covered to hide. Owner might like to check it's in the correct hiding place. Tftc
After a long drive from Wanaka we need to find a few caches - thank you for this one!
I went for a 6 mile run this morning along this trail, stopping several times to find geocaches. I had to search for a few minutes before I made the find. A neat spot to hide a cache! TNLNSL TFTC!
SisterCorny travelling Asia and Oceania for four month, now in New Zealand.
Today we travelled the Westcoast down from Westport to Greymouth via the Pancake Rocks. Horrible weather and rain in the beginning, it cleared up further south and we had a great afternoon of sun at Greymouth with a lovely walk along the river and the sea. What a great day out...
We needed to ask Google about the flaxbush, but the it was pretty easy... TFTC

A good day for a stroll on our trip along the West Coast. Thanks for placing this trail along this beach.
After visiting the Pancake Rocks and having lunch, I spent the rest of the day caching along the coastline. This needed a long search. TFTC.

Today, on a very rainy day, we finally got a dry period long enough for making a short walk along 6 caches in Greymouth. All caches were quickly found.
Our big thanks to all COs for bringing us to these interesting places.
*After a bit poking around, found in good order.*

Found on Team Walkers whirlwind trip to the West Coast ...
An attempt at a family bike ride along the cycle way to town - The little ones and the husband had given up at this point raced ahead to watch incoming boats. Mrs W hunting alone, no troubles here. TFTC

Back in the area for a few days so naturally we were picking up some caches as well. This was one of 14 found today between birthday shopping etc. The logs were signed HZ + Hm and also Noah today.
Thank you nath1245.
Thank you nath1245.
A family visit on the Coast is always combined with caches. This part of the cycle track has been neglected for to long and with grandson Noah navigating we found this cache. Just 6 years old he now confidently uses our Garmin or a smart phone. Thank you nath1245
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
I'm in the I hate flax bush caches camp too. However I enjoy flax weaving and this bush is pretty magnificent and great coloured leaves. TFTC nath1245

Over in greymouth for the Easter weekend, travelling with injeanious. We stopped in Arthur's pass along the way, although had several dnfs there. So far we have had better luck in greymouth. Pleased to find this one, especially as we were in the dark with tiny torches. Tftc!
On a geocaching Easter holiday on the West Coast with Jess.daphne. After we arrived we decided to grab some caches around Greymouth.
Ah the dreaded flax bush hide. And a pretty big bush too. I went at it strategically searching the inside of the outter most blades. It was the right strategy but Jess.daphne beat me to it. Tftc.

Geocaching was one of the minor parts in our wonderful and way too short trip to NZ.
We had a brilliant trip through this awesome contry. We were highly impressed by these quick changes in landscape. Thanks a lot to NZs openminded and lovely people, we always had the impression to be welcome.
We hope to be able to come back one day and visit some of the numerous things we couldn't take a look at.
Cheers from Germany guys and thank you soo much

Took a bike ride before dinner to find a few caches around Greymouth. This one has us foxed for a bit but further delving found the prize. TFTC!!!
Didn't think this one would take me 20 minutes to find. But still got it in the end
[red]I tried to check on this while walking the cycle track today but I couldnt find it. This has always been hit and miss for me - sometimes its easy and others I cant seem to find it/or be bothered looking in the flax. So the condition of the cache still remains a mystery to me.
On our thirteenth day in New Zealand we drove from Franz Josef up to Greymouth in grey sky and rain. That meant then that the shopping stop in Hokitika got extended )
Did this walk along the beach in pouring rain and heavy wind, not really ideal caching-conditions but for sure no muggles around. Found some of the boxes easier, with others we had to invest quite some time. But happy to find this one.
TFTC and greetings from Switzerland

Horrible plants !!
Put the caches in the agapanthus, the rocks, 30 metres up a pine tree ...
... anywhere but a flax bush !!
Oh hang on,
this cache was an easy find in its flax bush
Don't do it again !! [:o]

26 October 2015 1209came to Greymouth via the trans alpine train today. An amazing trip astounding scenery. A magnificent sunny warm day here on the west coast. Walked along the beach of the Tasman sea. Along the great cycle walkway on the floodbanks of the mighty Grey river past the junction of the river and the sea AND did Some caches as well. This could be paradise

This was my third day of a fifteen day trek going down to the South Island to hit the Christchurch Mega. Greymouth was my destination for tonight, so I had some time to cache before it got dark. I looked a bit randomly, but then developed a pattern and found it before I made a complete circuit. TFTC.
In Greymouth for the weekend. Spotted this line of caches so decided to go for a walk. Tftc
These things are not favourite search items but found it after a full circuit. Thanks
Found with quinella just as we were starting to feel real failures. Thank goodness although flax bushes @@@###. Tftc
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Found on a morning walk while geowife was enjoying a swim in the nearby aquatic centre

A plan was hatched during the week for a raid on the West Coast on some of the various caches placed over this way. In scope were the pack of cards power trail (gracie7 = mum), some Greymouth ones in town, a Wherigo, Earthcache, missing D/T combo at Blackball, some pre solved puzzle caches and anything else that took our eye on the way past. Setting off with co pilot the seagnoid (I drive, he directs) we left Blenheim at 0600 (should have left at 0500 because we were driving some of it in daylight, and not caching, a waste of daylight!) All up another epic day; just under a hundred finds, 3 or 4 F T Fs, over 700 kms on the speedo, 15 hours driving and some new scenery seen (should that be saw-ery). We saw Wekas (well I did anyway, t S saw a goat on a goat house and lots of coal, but then what do you expect!) The weather was kind, the sun shone a bit and the temp hit 18 degrees at one point, thanks West Coast,
Thanks to all the C Os whose caches we found today, some logs were signed C T S to save some log book space, others a scrawl and the date 2/5.
Half way along this nice little walkway we parked at a nearby car park and entered. Headed one direction (not that keen on the musically!) then the other and grabbed the series of nicely placed, and maintained, caches.
Q E F here, T F T C, glad it wasn't too hard. Spotted the container as I peered in.
