I found this cache while slowly meandering my way from Adelaide to Rutherglen to attend the Mega Event over Easter, seeking out some caches of interest along the way.
I met up with Freddo and camped near Mansfield last night, before heading off on our separate ways and catching up again later in the afternoon.
The cache was found without any difficulty and was in good condition.
Thanks DazRascal for the puzzle and the cache.

This cache has been on my wait to sign list for a long time/ out with nufrat , so today was the day. a fave from me. signed log as n and n tftc
family day out, signed as n&n, have had this one solved for a long time but had to get back to find it, wish i could give more than 1 fav, tftc
Due to the nature of the hide it’s becoming too difficult having to replace any part of it, so to avoid parts going missing I am disabling the cache and removing all waypoints for the duration of the Wangaratta Mega event.
It will be placed back and will be enabled in a couple of weeks, and with an updated checker.
Thanks.

Since meeting dalerious, we have had the Kelly caches on a "to do list" as a priority. He has completed most of them, but was happy to tag along while I caught up to where he was at. There was some information he needed from a couple of caches that was vital to us, but unfortunately he lost that info when his phone was damaged. I had been working on the puzzle for a while before I worked it out. It was satisfying to finally understand what is required, and if you look at something hard enough you will get it in the end, especially with a little help along the way. The journey was a delight and it took me to some familiar places. The journey ended way too soon, as did poor Ned's life. It was a privilege to follow in his footsteps.
There were some issues with a couple of waypoints which I will divulge to the CO as necessary. A favourite point given and well deserved. Thanks D for a ripper mystery.

This weekend we are on a mission to complete the Kelly caches that have been on our to do list for many years now due to our fascination with the Kelly Gang history. We had previously started the mission but the car failed us so we had to abort with only a few clues under our belt. (We wont mention the car having to be towed home )
However with a 4 day weekend and a healthy car we managed to complete our mammoth adventure and add our team name into many intertwining caches that took us on an exciting journey following the footsteps of the notorious outlaw Ned Kelly and his gang.
Ned Kelly, whether an outlaw or hero his legend lives on.
The final location had us looking at some tree prunings and our heart sunk but fortunately the cache was still tucked away , although a bit exposed, it was still safe and in tact. Signed the logbook, took many photos then returned with some camo in front.
Thanks so very much DazRascal for the lost friendship, a favourite point well deserved.

Well that was an adventure, so well designed and full of info. Very satisfying watching the pieces fall into place.
A tragic and fascinating story.
Did the first few staged a few weeks ago until i ran out of light, by chance when i got the needed info i realised it was a whole new area which was closer to home.
Picked up the last 2 stages this morning.
All the WPs were accurate except wp1 was a few metres out, but a fairly obvious spot, all caches were in good condition
Thanks for effort and time put into this one, makes it a must do cache.

Today we found A Friendship Lost on our travels. We are allowed out of Melbourne! Our first opportunity to get away & meet up with friends since March and we have taken it! Having had info pertaining to this cache from a prior visit to another Victorian town stored away for what feels like forever we actually were able to visit the final today! Impressive rock outcrop here, the earthcache tragic with us enjoyed observing the weathering of the rocks.
Thanks DazRascal for being part of our geocaching fun.

Continuing our trip home, Glenrowan was our next stop for some labs, puzzles trads and mysteries. Thanks for placing the cache DazRascal and for the puzzle
Found with Cybergran V and her Muggle Hubby from go to whoah in a day.
So I had worked out the puzzle a while ago (with a prompt) and finally had a chance today to chase a lead in dodgy weather but good company. Diving in and out of a warm car, one lead led to the next and the next and so on until ......
With a break in the weather, the clouds had parted long enough to catch the early evening light glistening off snow capped mountains in the distance just as we extracted the cache from its hidey hole to add our names to the illustrious list of cachers before us. I was also more than happy to claim the 489 days of unloved on this iconic but lonely treasure. [^]
A definate favourite from me.
TFTC DazRascal.
Thanks for an amazing, entertaining, challenging and informative adventure treading much of the same dirt as some of our countries most renowned characters.
It was almost sad to reach the end of this remarkable mystery but..... Such is Life.
All clues and containers handled with sanitised hands and returned clean and dry in good condition (even one found laying on a bed of snow).
I did perform a quick fix on the smallest clue we found that should keep it intact and in play until the next scheduled maintenance run at least. [8)]

Whilst in the area, with dalerious and Muggle Hubby, gathering information for another cache, dalerious had previously worked out what he thought was the first waypoint for this cache, so we stopped, and the search began.
Lo and behold he was correct, and suddenly our attention was focused upon seeing how far we could proceed with this cache.
What a great adventure! We never knew how many waypoints there were, or where we would be taken to next.
Needless to say our knowledge of an infamous gang increased with every step, and the tricks and twists along the way just added to the suspense.
It is an extremely clever and well calculated journey, and you are to be congratulated on it.
We had to do running repairs and dry out the clue at the tiniest waypoint.
We were delighted to complete it in one day.
And the final location was perfect, great swag, and it was interesting to read the logs of previous adventurers.
A favourite point from us.

Solved this one a few weeks back and finally had a chance today to pick up the first waypoint. No luck though as it was freezing and close to snowing. We were in too much of a hurry to get back to the warm vehicle.
A day trip to Glenrowen, to catch up with Team Crackers.
This puzzle was on our 'must attempt' list for the day,
as we completed a few stages on our last visit to the area.
What a town with such great history surrounding it.
The epic journey was finished today, and we added our name to the log.
A favourite point given.
Many thanks for all the work that went into placing this cache, DazRascal.

On a roadtrip with Na'wal, we had some solved puzzles just waiting to be collected. Seeing as we were passing by, we stopped here and collected the prize. Thanks for a tough puzzle and the smiley face. TFTC DAzRascal
DAB and I were up the Hume to enjoy a few locations we had not been before. We had done some work on this one before but had wanted to finish it with this trip. It is amazing where geocaching takes you, the locations and history is just fantastic. Some great waypoints and a nice container at the final + some unloved too which is always nice! Signed and returned as found

Image links fixed, all good to be solved once more, or at least be online to be able to fake solving it and make a generic log.
Due to change in photobuckets policies , the images don't show up on the cache page.
Will fix soon

Once upon a time, a long long time ago, we started this puzzle an a journey into the unknown. The years ticked by and with each day information was gathered and compiled as we worked our way towards its solution. We missed an opportunity when Pprass held a Heros and villians camping trip to get all the Kelly caches, so that left us to finish it ourselves.
After many trips and countless tanks of fuel, we were again in an area that was familiar to us. Our journey concluded in the dark and under torch light the log book was signed.
Thanks for the cache and the epic adventure.

It has taken me way too long to finish this cache but today was the day. When I look back what an amazing journey. So much history in the area. These are the types of caches that make geocaching so much fun. Thanks for the huge effort on this one.
Well what can I say about this one?
When Geo daughter introduced me to caching I started listing off local locations that I thought would be good to have a cache, I didn't realise that this multi had WP's at some of the locations I suggested.
I understand a lot more about caching now and this is a trick but fantastic multi cache and I am glad Geo daughter Team Thommo persisted with it.
As some of you know I lost her notes and tried to rectify the situation. I assure you she has had a stern talking to me about loosing important things. Thanks to those who helped me out.

WoW! Epic! Amazing! Thank you!
608 days of unlove!!!
Oh my goodness where do I start with this log!?
You are probably all lucky that I don't have much time so I won't write too much!
Firstly I should say I'm fascinated by Aarron Sherrits story.
I started this cache with GeoGrranni back when she was still a Muggle and I was a Newby.
I realised it was beyond me from the beginning and let it go for awhile. Fast forward a few months and three or four visits to the area whilst targeting other hides and a lot of cursing, swearing and confusion - mainly because we made paper copies of the puzzle pieces knowing that it would be a long time before we were able to complete the cache, The last time I was up I realised I left my notes and puzzle pieces up at Granni's, now, Granni is Notorius for losing stuff, when I realised I'd left my stuff up there, I ask her to post it down, she said no it would be safe..... Fast forward to last week: granny realised I was visiting this week and started to panic because she had lost my notes as predicted. She went to amazing great lengths (for her) to rectify the situation, trying not to let me find out what had happened. The person she asked for help let me know and one way or another I found myself signing the log today. Thank you DazRascal for the cache a favourite from us TFTC SL TNLN TBV * cashe in great condition

We started this great cache yesterday and did it together with The Letter. It was very enjoyable going to all the different wpts, taking photos and reading about the Kelly gang and the locations where they visited. The punch cards and the number puzzles kept us busy deciphering the clues. It was not until we were more than half way through the cache when I remembered that I had an app on my phone which did the same thing. Imagine my surprise to find after tracking all over Kelly Country I found that the last two wpts were very close to our home base.
Thanks Dazrascal for a great Kelly country cache.
A fav point from us.
Also have to advise that there are 3 punch cards in the final and ours in the second last wpt.

Wow...again, a brilliant cache that took us on a journey through the past and gave a real picture of the Kelly legend. This was find #734 for us and required a return visit. Along with the rest of the Geelong chapter of the Kelly Gang, I dashed here and there all over the Nth East following the clues for this one, which was so well intertwined with The Letter . However an need to head back a day before the final contingent and a transcription error had myself, Dog-Gone and Jacko83 searching in the wrong place for the final WP. Jacko83 and Dog Gone had to leave, but something bugged me...it couldn't be missing...I made a quick PAF back to the others who were still in the area and got the correct order for the numbers, whereupon an easy find of the last WP could be made. However, I was missing a vital piece of the puzzle, so before heading home I reported back to the rest that the WP was indeed present and they were able to find it the following day. The coords for GZ were passed on and a return visit was planned. Today was the day, so with my muggle mate in tow, we headed up from Violet Town and I made the easy find while he smashed portals or whatever it is those Ingress people do. The weather today was cooler and wetter than last time though !
Circle complete ! Thanks for the awesome adventure DazRascal and a definite favourite from me !

I started this great cache a few weekends ago with a group of new caching friends who'd come up from Geelong for a Kelly weekend. Each of the WPs were fun to decipher and some really great stages. I left them to find the last couple of WPs, and decided to finish the cache on my own today as I was heading to Melbourne.
Awesome effort Daz! Thanks for a great story and cache trail to follow! Get a FP for sure!

Started this epic journey last weekend with Buckleysbabe, Quasar3671, Dogonit, Juccacher, Pacman, Dbelco, Froglady and Dbelco touring around Kelly country.
The others have outlined the journey quiet well in their logs- a brilliant cache which took you to many unique spots. Brilliant time and a highlight of my caching adventures. Wish there was more like this out there.
Missed out on GZ last weekend and lucky for me was back on hume this weekend on way to a wedding in ACT so could stop and log this cache.
Thanks Dazrascal for the adventure you have provided as well as the unique history involved. It's caches like this that make me lucky to be a cacher. You captured the Sheritt tale quiet well, taking care at all times to pay respects. I particularly like the cache title.
A well deserved favourite point!

An absolutely brilliant weekend away chasing down this cache with a group of others. Unfortunately we didn't get to finish this one and it's now on my must complete list.
Giving this one a favourite before I have even finished it.

An epic caching weekend chasing down Ned Kelly history had us eventually get to the final of this adventure.
Having started on this cache yesterday, with a crew including Jacko83, Suss Vulture, Buckleysbabe, Quasar3671, Dog-onit, Juc-cacher, DBelco, Frog_lady and Dbelco touring around Kelly country, we made our way in convoy through the various stages, taking in the history and enjoying the sights, history, locations and company.
While several in the group had to leave earlier, the few of us that remained continued until the final was tracked down.
Earlier in the day we had calculated that there some milestones coming up - 3000 for Suss Vulture, and 1500 for myself and DBelco. So we paced ourselves and timed the caches along the way to hit these milestone numbers on this one. And mission accomplished - there were certainly many celebrations and high-fives here!
Definitely a favourite for the history, the locations, and the creative caches and mechanisms.
Thanks for setting this up and the informative background, DazRascal!

This cache was undertaken as part of a group assault with Suss Vulture, Doggone, Juc_cacher, Frog_lady, dbelco, ThePacman, Quasar3671 and Jacko83 during a huge weekend of caching and camping. Several months in advance of our trip were spent in puzzle solving, planning routes, organising agendas, sorting logistics and even determining who was available to join the team. Advice was taken from various sources and a dinner meeting held to set a date and iron out any potential difficulties.
Finally, after all the effort, we arrived in Kelly Country and set up camp. Nor was this cache our only goal for the weekend, so we then embarked on a whirlwind of driving, bush bashing and walking (not to mention eating and drinking) which saw our little convoy moving from WPT to WPT and from cache to cache as we followed in the footsteps of the Kellys.
At times it became tricky to remember just which trail we were following with the occasional comments about finding the Kelly friendship caching letters....or something like that???? In the end however, we stuck to our plan and one by one we visited the necessary locations, found the required information and followed the trail until Monday saw those of us who remained with a single WPT still to find and then, finally with the sense of anticipation growing by the moment it was off to GZ, itself a place of significance, where, finally, after so much planning and research and so much learning about the Kellys and the history of our country, we made the find.
There was jubilation all round! Our quest was complete and to top it off one team reached their 3000th find whilst two others each reached 1500 finds with this cache - and what a great way it was to achieve these milestones!
We signed the logs, took some commemorative snapshots and I dropped off a Buckleysbabe PathTag for the next finder.
Thanks DazRascal for a great cache and a fantastic adventure! A definite favourite from me !

Woohoo, this wonderful journey marks our find #3,000! What a worthy cache and what a great bunch of people to find it with!
Following months of preparation, we spent a long weekend in the wider area, following the journey of Ned Kelly and his gang, with Buckleysbabe, Jacko83, Dog-onit, juc_cacher, ThePacman, Frog_Lady, dbelco and Quasar3671. We even called ourselves The Kelly Gang, and our aim was to immerse ourselves in the landscape and in the fascinating history of The Kelly Gang (original version), their families, their supporters and their powerful opponents. Our travels on the track of this cache and another extraordinary one were intertwined, and we took in many other details and Kelly-related caches on the way.
In the lead-up, we read about and discussed the infamous events that made history some 140 years ago. We checked maps, made plans, exchanged ideas, and Dog-onit solved the first stage before we could blink. In the preparation period, a few questions came up about the intriguing story of this friendship that ended in tragedy. Some of us are still wondering and considering researching these friends in more detail.
A Friendship Lost - for us, it meant, many friendships gained! We had a full-on, amazing time with our fellow cachers. Lots of convoying, searching, some detours, amazing waypoints and scenery, bush camping, chatter and laughter around the fire. What else could we want? We certainly learned a lot about an influential part of Australian history and, through our friends, about Australian music.
We thank the CO and all involved in our amazing experience for this incredible journey!
Congratulations to ThePacman and dbelco, each of whom marked find #1,500 here. A respectable 6,000 finds between us, plus all the finds amongst the other members of The Kelly Gang!

This cache was found during a big three day cache run, up to and around Kelly country which included Benalla, Tolmie, Beechworth and Glenrowan. A great three days spent exploring and discovering with a fantastic group of fellow cachers, which we collectively called ourselves 'The Kelly Gang'.
We had camped the previous night at a great little spot in the Woolshed Valley. A small creek ran by the camping ground and there was a large 'firepit' on which dinner the night before was cooked. After a good nights sleep and some breakfast, we packed up camp and set out for the days adventure. The sites we visited during the journey to find this cache were amazing, and many of great historical significance in relation to the whole Kelly Gang story. During the journey, I learnt much about the Kelly saga, the characters involved and events that occured. It was a fantastic experience and visiting each of the sites just made it all the more real.
An amazing cache and a fav point from me. Thanks Dazrascal.

This is another mystery we would look at from time to time and get nowhere. It took a few years before we got a hint that had us working out a set of coordinates the another 7 month before we got to WP1, in the dark and raining quite heavy. We searched for a lot longer than we should have and did get a set of numbers but decided to leave the rest for another day. This weekend with the Heroes and Villains event we joined forces with pprass, skullracing, Highrod, maccamob, Phetlern, If and 6Hinemoa2 with the hope of finishing this one. (The required information atWP1 was located in a position different from where we remember it being but at least we were on our way at last.)
It is hard to describe the great time we had doing this cache, the terrain covered, history learned breathtaking scenery without giving something away so we will say is a fantastic cache, and we really appreciate all the effort you put into making so, especially the all important piece of equipment .
Finally at GZ, after adding our name to the log and taking in the great views, in an area we were not expecting, we all listened to the great story as it was read aloud.
Here some of the group had to head for home but for the rest another camp out near Oxley to recap the amazing weekends adventures.
Thanks DazRascal for the cache and our small group of adventures who made it even better.
A definite favourite point from us.

With a planned a group assault on this one with highrod, 6Hinemoa2, If, maccamob, Pprass, Skullracing and Team Crackers it made the pursuit of waypoints, clues and hints very rewarding and ensured no friendships were lost this weekend . . . . . . only gained.
We can see that an enormous amount of research, planning and preparation went into the placement of this cache, we felt we were almost reliving the events that are so much a part of Aussie history.
TNLN . . SL . . our thanks, appreciation and gratitude to DazRascal for his effort in producing such a wonderful cache.

With the company of some determined geocachers,
I wandered around the trail of waypoints
It took a few days, but at the end the reward was more than worth all the effort involved [^]
I cannot say too much,
for fear of giving away too many hints
Or maybe in the melange of caches we were chasing,
I can't remember all the intriguing details that led to GZ
GZ was memorable though [^]
As it should be after so much muckin' about trying to find the trail to a smilie

Found at 2:32 PM GAFF1 in the company of highrod, If, maccamob, Phetlern, skullracing, Team Crackers and 6Hinemoa2.
We were not expecting to be able to complete this epic cache after the adventures that we encountered earlier in the day, but after a successful and timely completion of the previous requirements, we were anxious to move on.
However right from the first WPT, we were kept on guard as we were expecting to find something different at WP1. It was then 6Hinemoa2 who found the "different" hide to set us on our way. We soon had a routine with the interesting decipher tool and we were then taken on a wonderful tour of the various locations where it all unfolded. We were not sure that we found the right grave btw - why would that grave be unmarked as well?
At the final we read the story and a very pleased group then separated - some returning home, but others heading to Oxley for another night out under the stars - well sort of
Thanks DazRascal.

Found by Mary & David with the "Heroes or Villains" Event gang at 1430. David needed a nudge to get started on this puzzle, and had solved it by mid-2010. The chance to follow through on that work finally arrived this weekend with pprass's "Heroes or Villains" Event. The Event gang arrived at the first waypoint early on Saturday afternoon and, with everyone searching, the next clue was in our hands within a few minutes. The next waypoint fell soon after, and we enjoyed reading more about the story behind the cache, and working out our next destination. A short drive then saw us at the next stop, with more of the story revealed and more waypoints to derive. By the end of the day we had visited two more places with no problems. We'd been tackling another long multi-stage cache along the way, and now agreed to leave the final stages of each to the following day.
After spending Sunday morning exploring the back roads, tracks and bush near our caravan park, we made our way to the final waypoint and then on to GZ. With plenty of eyes to look around, it wasn't long before the cache was located. What a great and enjoyable journey it was! We learned a lot more about the Kelly story, and were able to relate the events to particular and interesting historic locations. All went smoothly, and the cache remains in good condition. We also noted some information that should be very useful before too long. Certainly deserving of a favourite! Our thanks to DazRascal.

Well this had more twists and turns than I thought ever possible.
I’ve been home for a few days and whenever I have had a chance I have relived this escapade trying to make sense of it all.
It is a beautiful area of Victoria. Kelly did chose a picturesque place to hide out. I enjoyed the scenery and was grateful to be back at camp before the rain pelted down. It did at least settle the dust for the next stage of the quest.
Of course it wasn't completed on the first day so after a refreshing dinner and sleep we set off early to tackle the third component.
The amount of work gone into presenting this puzzle is outstanding and I take my hat off to you the CO for that effort. This group’s enjoyment is testimony to your work.
Everybody worked as a team to solve this section of our quest.
Yet another favourite for all the great memories the chase holds for me.

We had found WP's 1 & 2 before this cache was disabled and today was our chance to complete the journey along with Mr harrowang's sister, Beatiebrooks, who is on holidays from central NSW. The day was perfect spring weather and a pleasure to be enjoying the outdoors. We needed a few nudges to get us started, but loved visiting all the POI's which helped to complete this historical journey. We are pleased to report that all other waypoints are in place and in good order on this very well put together cache. Thanks for an interesting, and at times frustrating, search for clues and containers, which ultimately gave us a smiley face on our previously closest-to-home unfound cache today. TN Left: codebreaker card and eagle PT. #1837 A favourite point from us too. TFTC DazRascal
A long trek and a fascinating tale. Needed Ned's ghost to help us find the cemetery clues but bro harrowang persisted and all was revealed after much searching. Amazing to realise that todays quiet hills were once so densely peopled with drama. Thankyou DR for all the details of the story. Finally found the last cache, at 4:34pm, (I took a charm and harrowang left an eagle PT), but the post script to the story remains a mystery to me. [:l]
Have learnt that the first wpt might be missing.
Will do a complete check on this cache next week

Well what can I say about this cache that has not been said by previous finders?
We loved every part of this Mystery Cache, spent many hours looking at the puzzle and were happy to finally reach that "eureka" moment that gave us the green light, Needed a hint to find the first WP as we just could not locate the well hidden information and had a head slap moment when I finally realized we had misinterpreted some numbers and had gone off to the wrong location.
This was a very well constructed cache that took us on a journey that even our seven year old found fascinating as she sat and read the historical notes aloud to us as we solved the field puzzles.
Each WP location was well thought out and had good reason to be where it was.
This is why we cache and will continue to do so. A well earned fav point from us
Thanks for the cache DazRascal

Started this adventure on Saturday and after a bit of a hint, we have completed several of the required waypoints. Hope to complete next weekend and must say we are all enjoying the journey so far.
Worked puzzle out months ago, headed to Wpt1 today, looked everywhere, then relooked and then looked again. But could not locate. Was'nt sure which side, or on top ? Ended up leaving dissapointed. Hope to come back again though.
It would seem the Australia Day weekend is my best for epic caches - last year the Tomb Cacher series on Mt Buffalo, and this year, this one. I wonder where Australia Day 2014 will take me?
Many months ago I decided to have a crack at the puzzle, and had little luck. After many passive-aggressive pokes at the CO for a hint, he finally let slip enough info to crack the puzzle. I'd located WP1 some months ago (with the CO) while we attempted another local epic.
This morning, I traded my alotted sleep-in for time to run up to Beechworth and finally knock this one on its head. WP1 was revisited, and the co-ords for WP2 extrapolated - incorrectly, as - of course - my GPSr was set to the wrong North. After spending 15 mins working out how to change the setting, I finally found myself in the correct spot, and retrieved my codebreaker.
I made my way through the waypoints, enthused and informed by the excellent notes in each.
On my way to WP6, I collected Tattboy1, as he wanted to revisit GZ, and we made the last two stops together.
This cache is truly epic - from landscape, to history, to execution. A favourite point feels like not quite enough of a reward, but is all there is to offer.
TFTC, the effort, and the adventure.

Signed the log at 2:30pm! After moving through all of the way points with no issues after we found the second part of first way point, we found it after quite a search, GPS and phone compass weren't willing to settle and help us. Over all we found the cache quite easy once we got going with a slight hint. TFTC. Left punch cards at final GZ.
In progress! We gave in at 10pm after making our way through lots of the waypoints. Will finish off tomorrow. Reason for this note is to say that there is only 3 punch cards left at the start.
# 770. Had started this one several weeks ago and now have finally got to finish it. Travelled on a couple of roads not travelled before (and so close) - very scenic indeed. We went here, then there, then everywhere and I enjoyed all the waypoints along the way. Finally arrived at GZ just on dusk and found quickly, thankfully. Left code card as requested. Thanks for a great puzzle and all the interesting information you provided along the journey. Took: Nothing, Left: A pathtag. Thanks DazRascal.
This really was a great journey from start to finish. It would have been great to have done it in one hit but unfortuately certain things didnt allow that.I had been reading the book,"Glenrowan" by Ian W.Shaw when Tattboy said, "I think Ive worked the first WP out for, A Friendship Lost, wanna go check it out ?
I think Umm of course might of been my answer, so a day was set and off we went. From here we took a wonderful journey right around the area, following the great history of Ned Kelly and those involved with him and his life.Taking us to some great spots some which were known to me others that were not. Each WP had great information on "where you are" that had obviously taken some time and effort to put together which was muchly appreciated by us, we really enjoyed it and infact some places I had read about in the book and was glad to be able to be standing at the site taking it all in.Today was a lovely day to nip out and grab the last WP and the final so thats what we did.It didnt take long at all and we had visited the WP which was a real point of interest and had moved on to having the cache in hand, which was another interesting spot at a top location. Thanks for a top cache.A favourite of course.Oh and we did visit the final, final, top location.

The time and effort the co has put into this is has blown me away it has really been a pleasure to take part in this creation!! My patience at times wore thin and i did ask for help but with my trusty sidekick Purpledreamer in tow we worked out what we needed to do!!! Wp to wp what a journey and today was the day the journey ended!! What a time it must have been back in the day!! Daz you have made me and the purple one very happy cachers!!!

Finally I have finished this cache that has intriuged me since its release.
Solving the puzzle turned out to be the easy bit!
A began this quest 18 months ago with Chewin and Robmc but had to leave them to it so I made a vow to return again and finish it off.
I needed to visit WP1 again to retrieve a vital bit of kit and once that was done I resumed the journey and as it turned out I had not so far to go to complete it anyway. All waypoints were interesting once I figured out which way to go and I must say I have never seen this method used before to determine WP's.
A lovely big cache to complete the journey and another surprise awaited me here too!
Thanks DazRascal.

Completed this cache with troobloo. We enjoyed the different aspects that were used for this cache. As troobloo stated we started and was stopped in our tracks as the cache was missing....we waited...advised cache is all good to go.. so we continued. Obviously a lot of thought went into this cache which made this cache a very enjoyable one to complete. Thanks for the cache DJ
Started the journey and solved puzzles, projected and used the code cracker and chose the likely spots. Was travelling well untill...zip....nada....nothing!
Contacted owner who checked and confirmed vital info was missing, owner replaced the missing waypoint cache which allowed us to travel on. We climbed into the geomobile and continued on, and on and on. Then...bingo the GZ was finally attained.
During this cache we had the enjoyable task of reading some great historical info that was found along the way.
Coruze and I also utilised a button on gps's that we hadn't had the need to use before. Always learning!
A very enjoyable cache indeed, thanx DJ.

Looks as though wpt 1 has gone missing so will disable until a full check is made and wpt 1 replaced, should only be offline for a week.
Thanks D J GeoDog Rascal for a most interesting cache. Enjoyed solving the initial puzzle a few months ago, and finally found the time to start this adventure today. Great hide at WP1. Thanks again for putting so much time and effort into this one!
Took pyramid and shot glass. Left handful of clips, stickers, spider and Sky's the Limit Bug.

Finally finished this, the second closest to home cache! I'd worked out the starting co-ords a while back and although evince didn't agree I was confident I'd be close enough to make the find and as it turned out that was correct to a degree. Co-ords were good but finding skills not so good on the day. Since we didn't know what elevation we were looking at, I thought the recent floods might have had an effect so it took a phone call here to iron things out. From there it was plain sailing for a little while, not to mention interesting and informative untill we ground to a halt a little later at the ---- -----. (not to give anything away). Another phone call confirmed that indeed a piece is missing but a nudge in the right direction kept us on track.
The rest spilled into the next day when we sucessfully completed the journey.
Does that all sound like a lot of dribble. It does to me when I read it back but it's hard to describe a journey when you don't wish to divulge the details of said journey.
Suffice to say I thoroughly enjoyed the cache and appreciate the effort that has gone into making it. As I said in my log for "The Letter" my only regret is that having completed them that the best couple of caches in my area are now behind me.
Thanks indeed DJ

As Chewin' explained (while saying nothing at all!), it took a fair bit of traveling, and a bit of help, to finish this cache today. We did it along with The Letter and several trads around the area.
Unlike The Letter, we didn't need the 4WD to get around, although Chewin' decided to go out of his way for a river crossing!
A collection of interesting way points, and history.
Thanks for the great cache, Robmc.

WOW! What a great journey this turned out to be!!
Our 300th cache & an absolute beauty!
We picked this one up a few weeks back after finishing 'The Letter' in the hope to have it completed and do it for our 300th cache.......so Foss Ez & Mrs H set to work...we got quite excited coming up with all these "co-ordinates", but Evince was persistant in saying "Sorry"!
After picking this one up & down...and giving up numerous times, a nudge in the right direction thought we were once again on the right track.......then finally during the week we got the "Congratulations" from evince - so very excitedly, Foss Ez whipped out to WP1 with Roosta Ez and came up with the sneaky hide!
Mrs H & Big Ez were keen to complete the rest asap, and a date was made for Saturday afternoon at 4pm at WP1......we find out later...much later in the evening, that this adventure was much BIGGER than first thought...and should have started at 9am! LOL!
So, with a couple of sets of co-ords that Mrs H worked out during the week, the search was underway...of course having never projected a waypoint using the distance & bearing - doubts were entering our minds if it was correct, but confirmation from the owner that we had 'projected correctly', and a better look the cache was in hand. Phew! You learn something everyday! [^]
Foss Ez & Mrs H worked out our next stop and off we went, with the light fading fast! We piled out of the car, under torch light, and a muggle car comes past - torches off...hide behind the trees LOL!!
Thanks to a great iPhone app we were able to work out the next spot rather quickly...so off we went quick smart!
Hmm..........after spending some time working out the co-ords in the freezing cold at WP3, we realise the next WP was a bit further away than first thought, so it was back home for Pizza & time to work out when we could finish it! [?][?]
It got the better of the boys and off they went in the cold & the rain! Not long after and Mrs H got the call - We got it!! Whoop Whoop!!!
This has been a great adventure filled with lot's of history, great hides and we all learnt something along the way.
This will be one of our highly recommended caches for sure!
Many thanks to D J Geodog Rascal for putting the time & effort into creating such a fabtastic cache!!
Two thumbs up from Team Haveanez.

#526. What a phenomenal cache! This has been on our "to-do" list since about late December last year but with other things cropping up all the time it has taken us to recently to sit down and have a decent look at this one. So it was during the week that the puzzle was solved (Dad gets kudos for this one) and, as always, the excitement kicked in immediately and a date was set for first thing Saturday morning.
The Queen was scrolling through the local caches on Thursday night and noticed this had been temporarily taken off line.....BUGGAR! So a quick email to the cache owner to see if necessary maintenance could be done ASAP - didn't know if we could wait...... Of course the ever helpful owner assisted with a hint at the missing WP which kicked this baby into another gear.....oh yeah! This morning we wake up to a cold, wet, rainy day.....BUGGAR! We thought we'd go and assess the situation weather wise as there were some other straggler Traditionals we could have knocked over instead. So into the NinjaGolf we piled in what turned out to be an epic day [^]
When we got to the start it was misty rain only so we slipped into the wet weather gear and started our journey. Thankfully the day got better and better as we went - we didn't make any boo-boo's along the way and learnt how to project a WP - WOO HOO - nearly feel like fully fledged cachers now . We must've missed DJ at WP3 as it wasn't there when we went through in the morning (even had a look for the old one.....can't help ourselves! Or perhaps we looked in the wrong spot....) but thankfully we were able to continue through. We had a slight hiccup at GZ when we were 2nd guessing ourselves for a while and we were about to start rechecking when the cleverly hidden cache was in hand BOO-YAH!
This was a bigger than expected day for us and we were slightly knackered when we got home this evening but we all have a grin from ear to ear for adding this to our list of smiley faces. Without giving away too much we loved the adventure of this one and the history lesson. The cache was exceptionally put together and we really appreciated that aspect of it & at the end we were presented with a cache full of bounty.
Took: Motorcycle TB and Transformer type TB
Left: Snake and Orange Spikey Creature
TFTC - this one goes on our highly commended list - thanks heaps DJ
08/08/10 Couldn't let this one go until we'd found WP3 & we did YAY

Thought I would check up on a couple of waypoints for this cache, only to find wpt 3 has gone missing again. Bit odd considering no one had found it since I replaced it last time. Will fix it up this weekend, but cache is disabled till then.
It has come to my attention that there was an issue with the Evince checker. Don't know how or why as it has been found since the checker was put in place. Have fixed it and checked it myself so all should be good.
Have a problem with wpt 3, will endevour to fix it before this weekend. Also took the opportunity to tweak the evince checker while its offline

Three and a half months after dad had solved the puzzle and after spending a fair bit of time in the last few weeks trying to make sense, I finally managed to come up with the correct coords from evince!! I did get a nudge or twelve in the right direction and verification of suspicions from Team Rubik. Had great fun working out this puzzle and the fun didn't stop when Cluelesscouple and I reached wp1.
Each waypoint was full of adventure and even though wp3 was missing in action I still managed to have a lot of fun. The work put into the cache and the history was well researched and in depth and on a great topic. Well done D J GeoDog Rascal on a fantastic cache.
Cheers, took ned keyring left Scoubidou TB and puzzle cube

We solved the puzzle just after it came out but insisted our son (Kamikaze Cacher) also solve it before we attempted the cache. He eventually solved it with some outside assistance a couple of weeks ago.
At WP1 a thorough search eventually revealed the cache and we then proceeded to obtain our code breaker. Waypoint 2 was found without too much difficulty, however we had some trouble with WP3. We contacted a friend who then contacted the cache owner who kindly provided the coords for WP4 and he has indicated he will resolve the issue with the troublesome waypoint. We proceeded to WP4 and then on to GZ to sign the log.
This was a thoroughly enjojable cache and there has obviously been a lot of work that has gone into it construction. The history contained within each waypoint is fascinating, allowing those who complete the cache to see the areas that events actually took place.
Thank you for your efforts DJ Geodog Rascal, we certainly appreciate them!

Found at 1830. The first cache found for 2010, and what a beauty to start the year with. Solved the puzzle without too many hassles a few nights ago, and today was a great day to finish it off. Arrived at WP1 with the GPS pointing me in one direction, so after a thorough search of the area, moved around a little until the container was spotted. Once the numbers were retrieved, it was off to collect the information there and the required codebreaker card. The journey to the next couple WP's proved to be both interesting and historical, and once the numbers were worked out for WP4, I was off with the finish in sight.
Once the numbers were found in WP4, it was just a simple matter of driving to GZ to finish of this wonderfully planned cache, although what transpired over the next 45 mins would leave me douting whether or not I was actually going to make it to GZ. I got back in the car to head to GZ, and amazingly, the ignition barrel would not turn over. So I spent the next 20-25 mins trying to get it to click over with no luck whatsoever. So eventually a call was made to RACV and I was told I would have to wait for up to 2 hrs for them to come from Wang.
Bugger that!.....So with nothing more to do than wait for RACV to arrive, it was back to jiggling and trying to turn the key over when in a frenzy to jiggling, the ignition turned over and we were back in action. So...rang RACV again to cancel the previous call, and finally made my way to GZ to make my make in the log.
Wonderful cache DJ...not only were all the WP's full of history, but the method of getting there was a feature and very well done.
Took a Ned Kelly stubbie holder as a memento of the cache as I liked the design of it.
Thanks for a top effort.

Not enough time today to complete this one. I'll have another look next time I'm out this way.
It seems that last claim was somewhat premature. A short time after sending it I got a call to say the rest of the day's activities had to be put off for a few hours which opened up another window of opportunity to return to complete this puzzle. Armed with a bit more confidence I was able to make my way to GZ on the way home and put an end to a very satisfying adventure. It started the day before when I sneaked away to solve the puzzle while the family were cooking Christmas lunch. This morning had at least one hiccup and a couple of flat batteries that left me thinking I might miss the boat on this. I can't say too much for fear of spoiling it for others, but there has been a lot of good work go into this one and I hope others enjoy it as much as I did.
Many thanks again,

There is a coin in the cache. A "Sam the Koala" GC which over time I have forgotten to activate and add to the cache so consider it a FTF prize to the first person who happens to come across it
