###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.

The cache owner needs to:

* Take action to restore the cache or address any issues such as correcting the D/T rating.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done, and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.

Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary, or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this, that is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.

Alternatively:

* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.

In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by team stilllookin and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*

The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is there, and in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.

Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you

No maintenance has been carried out. Was last found 3 years ago. There has been Bush fires through the area so it possibly has been destroyed.

We pulled up at the carpark and found three blokes taking photos, professionally, of a mercedes sports car. When we mentioned that we were going on a short hike and may be about 20 minutes. They asked us to move our car about 30m. We were asked what we were doing. We mentioned geocaching. One bloke said "Ahh, I told these guys you were probably geocaching." Obviously we had that intelligent(?) and obsessive look. With our pockets bulging with spare plastic bags and logsheets, tweezers, pens, torches, etc. He then asked us to take a TB that he has had for awhile. Anyway, we found the cache. TFTC

It had been a long time since we'd been out this way - the road has certainly been improved from the pot holed patchwork strip it had once been hereabouts. We parked at the lookout layby and wandered the short distance up the hill to the cache. Nice views here on such a lovely sunny day.

We are spending a week in the Lithgow area for the September School holidays, staying at the Lithgow Caravan Park. Today we were heading out to Newnes, and visiting a few caches along the way. This was our 2nd find of the day, 42nd find of the holiday.

Stopped off in the roadside parking bay, crossed the road and headed up the steep slope to GZ for a quick find. Great views down the Wolgan valley from up here at GZ. Much better than most people settle for down at the parking bay. TNLNSL. TFTC.

Found today with pjmpjm while on a Trig hunting expedition.
Amazing views from this spot, well deserving of a geocache.
Thank you for taking us to this place, enjoyed every minute of it.

18-Aug-15
rogerw3 and I mounted a trig expedition today to find the two Wolgan Gap Trigs. Having finished this task success successfully, we looked for a few nearby GCs, and the Wolgan Gap traditional was just the thing.

What a beautiful place! We couldn't believe the view as we drove towards GZ, and when we pulled over to the side of the road at a very likely spot, we immediately began planning our photos.

The cache was placed as described, in a very secure hiding spot that will kept it nice and dry.

All was in good order. TNLNSL and replaced the container securely.

Many thanks to team stilllookin for taking us to such a great spot.

Giving this one a favourite point for the amazing views . . .

Find #5216

Day 13 of my epic northern adventure and it was coming to an end and we were slowly winding our way home. With the MEGA event in Stanthorpe over for another year, Jamin Appleford and I had some select caches to find on the way including some very old caches from 2000 and 2001.

After camping somewhat illegally unbeknownst to us in a non camping area nearby, we woke to the pleasant sound of the nearby waves. After discovering we were not supposed to camp where we did, I was keen to get moving and pack up camp. Time to head inland towards the Blue Mountains!! After finding Black Panther around the corner, decided to head around the corner to this one. A magnificent view here, just a pity about the power lines.Big Grin.

Thanks to Team Stilllookin for the cache. TNLN

#2320- The family were on our way for a camping weekend away to explore the ruins at Newnes with TeamCanary, and this was one of our first stops along the way. Not only did I need a cache to fill the blank day in the calendar, but it is always great to grab a decent sized cache and in such a brilliant spot. The boys were happy to take in the awe inspiring views before we moved on. Thanks team stillookin for the encouragement to stop here.

#2,010

I wanted to go camping this weekend, bikerbuddy suggested Newnes. And so I got to make my first visit to the Wolgan Valley Smile.

We walked up to find this cache first, then went to admire the views. Firstly from high point near the cache, then we went across the road to view from another angle. The timid lady with the little dog loved the views, and hopefully she will return to drive further into the valley another day.

Thanks Smile

It's been years since I've been to Newnes. My family came from Newnes (great grandfather) and Lithgow (my father) and I helped rebuild the Pipeline track when I was younger. It seemed a good time to return, since Toriaz had never been to the Wolgan Valley. This was a perfect place for a cache, since the gap is a great place to look into the valley. When we got back to the car we met a nervous lady with a little dog who asked us lots of questions about the area. She had shied away from driving into the valley on her own, but like many people, she appreciated the views. Thanks

Visiting (temporary) muggle friends in Lidsdale this weekend and grabbed a few caches while here.
We tried to find this one last year as muggles using a car GPS but being newbies we didn't have a chance really. We signed up very soon after.
Back again for another shot this year and made a quick find, experience makes a difference. Enjoyed coming out here again. Thanks team stilllookin

Nice easy find - I drove up the hill and parked under the power lines with a sleeping baby in the car.

Camping at Newnes, I went to the ruins and forgot the GPSr, couldn't believe it and the river was too high to go back in a hurry. Oh well, I will have to return to Newnes some other time, not a great hardship. On the way home, I spotted this one, and had to go for it. It turned out to be a good spot to stop and view the valley. Thanks for bringing me here.

I was a bit disappointed that Webguy wouldn’t drive up next to the cache. After all, isn’t that what a drive by cache is all about?
I hobbled up the short climb and grabbed the cache anyway!

Thanks Team Stilllookin.

25-Feb-12
A fairly quick one to find, although Wingnut was disappointed that Webby didn't park next to it. Would have been interesting getting out of the 4x$4 on that slope.

25-Feb-12
Reperio at 1810.

The last cache for the day, and whilst this one was pretty much a drive by, the views extending out across the east were amazing! We tried to coax Webguy into driving right next to the cache, but I think he more fun watching Wingnut trying to walk up it with a crook foot. A great spot.

Gratias team stillookin.
