Hasn't been found in several years so visited the location recently and the cache is definitely not there.
We decided to head out for an afternoon of caching with Larry Lambert. With the rain over the previous 24 hours, we decided to hit some dirt roads to get the 4WD's dirty! We headed towards Taldra and continued to Bugle Hut, Taplan, Woodleigh, Loxton and then back home to Renmark. After living in the Riverland my whole life, this was the first time I'd been out this way!
Another awesome cache with an awesome view - I love looking at old ruins and then researching the history behind them! Thanks again crane2!

Quick and easy find.
Found while riding to the top of the 'Border Track'.
Love finding these containers, out in the country!

A quick find here - nice old building to! Always better than just a sign about a long gone building!

Great to find a big cache and also an interesting location. We love getting off the beaten track to find these lesser-known spots. Thanks for bringing us here & also for the hide.
i found this cache on a drive from pinnaroo to renmark. must be one of the few schools in the area where there's more than a memorial stone left. TFTC!
Took the CatKids to find a couple of caches after school not the best weather for it the wind is like ice but cold wind is better than pouring rain. Always enjoy finding a ammo box and what a great spot love old ruins. TFTC
This morning I was tootling around the back blocks of Loxton.
Following a visit to a Big Tank, I headed north to leave a message.
The cache name intrigued me
I did find out what it meant on arrival !!
So with the sounds of Taps in me head, I poked around for a cache.
It didn't take much poking to find this gloriously large cache
Well stocked too !! [^]
For the scenic detour and the quality container, I will score this cache a 10 out of 10

My biggest caching day (plus half an hour into the next day on my way home), finds wise, for a long time. 67 caches actually found and 1 beta testing smiley too.
CPwanderer, Clare007, Gizmo's Gang and I headed for Loxton and the new Wandering Heroes - Fishy Tales series and we had a ball
We came, we saw and we bugled a message for the bugler

Travelling the back roads from Loxton to the border with CPwanderer, locuscache and clare007. Another lovely, historical out of the way spot on our intrepid driver's list for the day. With a big cache as an added bonus. Would have been nice to explore the building.

Nice day for a drive out the back blocks of Loxton with Locus Cache, Gizmo's Gang & CPWanderer.
Pity we couldn't access the building for a look,
but there was a decent size cache to explore and a driver itching to drive on.
Thanks for bringing us here crane2

I found this cache today at 2:35pm as the 13th of 32 on a Geotour from Paringa to Loxton in the company of Cold Freeze. Not much left of the once thriving metropolis of Bugle Hut. Thanks from D B-A.
This is a large cache and worth the stop, found by king Sr who teamed up with a fellow geocache and freemason for a half day of geocaching, thank you gumbowie540 for providing the wheels, Thank you for bringing us here .. photo
Cache container has been replaced with an ammo can. Should last a bit longer than the two previous plastic ones.
Looks like they've done a restoration job on the school building [^].
Found easliy enough, but the outer container is badly broken [B)].
We didn't notice there was a challenge until later, so didn't leave a message [|)].
TNLNSL.
Thanks for another one Crane2.

Great building, great idea for a cache, didn't come up with any great ideas for a message, but we left one just the same - TFTC
Our junior cacher enjoyed the task. Amazing number of old schools in the area.TFTC
Enjoyed the drive down from the Pike river and made an easy find. Could hear a noise as Mrs S opened the cache and were trying to work out where it was coming from. Couldn't quite work out how to achieve the task, sorry.
Thanks crane2

On our way home from the Oz Mega at Wagga Wagga we decided to do a few local caches with crane2 - this was the THIRTEENTH one of our fifteen for the morning before we took off home to the Yorke Peninsula. It was pleasant to hear Adrian Mc's voice (lol!!!!!) - A great concept and a great location.
Found while out this way with Jardry and Sushilord for the RR3 CITO event.
Message duly left for the next finders.
A novel idea.

I wish I had read the past logs. Did not realize there was an activity to do. I will come back when i am back up this way. Cache has a split in the side of it. Feeling pretty tired after caching all night. TFTC. TNLN. SL.
We pulled up next to a nice historic site and headed off to gz where we were surprised by both the size of the cache and the contents. We signed the log and followed instructions for the next part of the cache, we haven't seen one of these before.
Thanks Crane2 for an interesting cache

As instructed we unearthed this big cache and left the bugler a message.
Quite a novel idea once we worked out what to do under the cover of darkness.

Paid a quick visit to Bugle Hut in the dead of the night to rebuild the cache hide a little and to check that all was well.
No problems with rain this weekend!
Task completed and some camo placed back on cache (it was very exposed!)
Cheers

Great cache, I enjoyed this one. Posspet's message was very short, so I left a longer (shonky) one. Little shonky enjoyed the red crane!
Maintenance visit: Cache is definitely in position, however, it looks as if someone has meddled with it as was totally exposed with the lid off and contained an odd message. Have cleaned it out and replaced rocks etc. The bush shielding the cache location was died down a lot because of the drought so if there are any more hassles I will move it to a more secure location. The reason for the current position is that it's a good spot to stand and pretend to take a photo of Bugle Hut.
I am afraid I am sure this one is gone. I found a nice cache hole with stones and all, but no container. I have a photo that I can send if you send an e-mail address. Thanks

Re the Swiss Geocoin. I have written to the owner that the coin is missing. When it first disappeared I wrote to all visitors to the cache since I had put it in there and no-one has seen it, so I think it went AWOL pretty early on unfortunately.
It is so green around here at the moment, it almost looks surreal. Unfortunately I neglected to do the task as I was conscious of the time - I was on my way home after a few days in the district and as it was I didn't get to my destination. Such is life. Thanks for these remoter caches crane2 - I love them.
enjoyed the drive out.... everything so green after a bit of rain... easy find, signed the book but didn't leave the Bugler a message.... TNLN... cheers 4 da cache!
A very interesting little spot. Another nice easy driveby.
Great cache, well done. TFTC.

Dropped in Flutterby TB as I knew she would have room in this cache plus wanted to check on Swiss Geocoin. Coin is not in cache but still shows up on inventory. [?] I hope, whoever has it logs it. Loved the Penguins' message by the way!
Two little penguins went for a walk,
to press this button so they can talk,
and leave you this message so you can hear,
about this place which we are near.
We thought the activity was real nifty,
and now we are off to find seven fifty!
(Hey, we made it up on the spot!)
I used to go to school on the Bugle Hut bus .
Thanks crane2 - it was a beauty.

Found the cache at 5.10pm. Wow! I did leave message just say "Hello" (hope it good sound eh!) Interest about history... No swap. SL. Thanks crane2 for organising the cache and hunt.
Woohoo. The bestest fun cache of the weekend. Spotted the cache from a long way off and then had a lot of fun leaving a message. I want one too.
Declan's message heard loud and clear.
Declan's message heard loud and clear.
This was my favorite cache this week , no maybe this year.
I wanted to swap this for a kangaroo but Freddo wouldn't let me [:(!]
I'll have to get one of these from somewhere now
On arrival the cache was over exposed , even a blind person could have found it.
We hid it with more rocks, but I doubt many muggles would even notice
Left Kangaroo
Thanks crane2

Find# 159
Took: Nothing / Left: Nothing
Having two FTF's for the day, we claimed a Silver for this find. The activity was fun and I'm sure other cachers will appreciate it. TFTC Crane2.

Dropped past on the way back, to drop in the kissy lips Geocoin, and to visit the coin we got for our FTF prize. Checked out the activity and sure enough curses from the Jardry's because we dot to this one yesterday... yay...
23/3/2008 3.55pm Team: A & R - The Girls, Day 144 of out Big November Challenge
WOO HOO FTF - Gold, 3 in a row. What a great game, we played the activity, took a bit of timing but the next finders will know what we mean. Took FTF Geocoin, first time to get a FTF prize in a cache so we are excited about that. Left 50c, ear plugs & pen. Picked up BJ's Surf Board, hmm.. this one might get to Hawaii, the A Team are off to Europe later this year and returning via Hawaii, so we'll see what we can do. Oh the flies out there so, so , so friendly, to distraction. But we got the second part done in the car before returning the cache to it's spot. Thanks Cran2 for giving us a new one to find as part of the November Challenge Visited our Leap Year, Leap Frog Geocoin to this cool location too. Cheers from Gayle & Louise.
