If we get back into caching again we may place another cache in this vicinity but at least now the area is freed up for someone else.

Ah sounds like we have neglected this poor cache. Will head out to Boronia within the next few weeks armed with new stash note/log sheet and something to reseal it against the elements.

After a couple of DNF's I wasn't sure how I would go today but the extreme weather must have had a hand in keeping the muggles away so I as able to have an uninterrupted search and the cleverly hidden cache was soon found. Like others have said the log is in extreme need of maintenance but I did manage to find a spot to sign.
Thanks harlips for the cache, I've often driven passed here but have never been to have a look at this magnificent old homestead

No luck today.... even though I had a strong feeling I knew what I was looking for and where to find it (and the clue confirmed that), nothing turned up, and I wasn't too prone to hang around given how conspicuous I felt here.

Although the cigarette butts at GZ made me wonder if Harlips love of their life was still around somewhere Wink

TFTH anyway.... amazing unexpected place in such a normal suburban street.

I looked for it but I couldn't find it - my style was somewhat cramped by people in close proximity, so I left it for another day. Liked the homestead though.

Veryclever hide. Might need to find some of those as a solution for part of some caches I'm considering.

Fascinating bit of local history.

Cache was dry today. Added a sliver of log sheet paper.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I arrived but there was no doubting the homestead. I was really interested to read the history of the property and I think it's terrific that it has been preserved so well.

The cache wasn't difficult to find but sigining it was a challenge. It really needed to be reported for maintenance some months ago. It is wet, disintegrating and there is no room to sign (I wrote over the cache note). Perhaps more water proofing of the container would help.

Loved the house, thanks.

First time we have seen type of cache container but as soon as we saw it we knew that was it.
TNLNSL TFTC, find #598 for Echo & Spice.

*** Note for the owner: The log is waterlogged and dead.

Found by Greg. THis has to be THE most cunningly concealed and smallest cache I have found to date. I nearly threw it away the first time I found it. Well done Hairlips.

The cache does need a new log "book"

Found by Mary & David at 1450. We've often seen the brown tourist signs pointing this way but hadn't investigated. Great to have all the detailed notes and teenage reminiscences. Missed on the first glance, but found it soon after. The log is disintegrating and is totally full - we had to sign across the stash note text. Urgent replacement needed please. Our thanks to harlips.

They can't come much smaller. Nowhere now to sign your name. Thanks harlips

Found at 11.15, number 6 of 7 today.
This has got to be the smallest micro/nano I have ever found! It didn't take too long once I'd spotted the container. The log was full (and a little damp) so I wrote my name on the back.
Interesting place I didn't know existed.

Easter Monday and the area was clear of muggles. Found the cache without difficulty, but it was hard to find a couple of square millimetres to sign my name. A new log is required. Thanks for showing me this lovely house, and for the cache.

Incredibly small cache this one. Even after locating the container I was still a bit unsure if it was it!
Great cache, Im sure its fooled a few!

Incredibly small cache this one. Even after finding it I was still unsure if it was it given the rather unusual swap found inside!!
Luckily I had something that fit!
Great cache.
Thanks, Rowy

Well, how did I miss this one on the fisrt go!? [?] Even after I had phoned a friend and was told where to look? hmmm....

At least it was a quick find this time, right where I had been told it was! Must get those new glasses! lol Thanks haarlips for the cache and pointing out this lovely old homestead - it's delightful.

This was Rosie and my 3rd and last find of the day. While the cache is a micro size on the outside the inside is a nano. This was the smallest cache container that Rosie has ever seen.

Been wanting to find this one for some time now as it is the closest to my home location (walking distance). Found this one while teaching Hally 31 how to geocache. Great find for both of us.

I had no trouble on this one, there were no Muggles to be seen but I did enjoy the homestead and the cache. Thanks harlips for showing me this place.

Found at 1200. Would like to say that this was a nice easy find, but for some strange reason......it wasn't........it should have been........but it wasn't. Looked in all the likely areas, but kept coming up empty. Finally, I rang for a clue, and whilst they hadn't found it yet, it was enough to get me to look in the right area for long enough to make the find. Still trying to work out how I didn't notice it the first time around. A great location for a little micro. Enjoyed reading the info before heading off.

Thanks.

Had what I thought was a good look around. No joy this time round. Will put on my watch list and revisit if there is a future find. Cheers Ric.

1583. Found it this time and rather quickly. Surely I would have looked there last time, although I did have teenagers with me then and we all know that they cause cache blindness.

TFTC ands another reason to visit this area.

Found at 15:53, you have to keep your eyes open for this one, a great hide for a micro, took me about 15 minutes, only muggles were School children on their way past. TFTC.

Found this evening on a quick drive by some local caches. Took a little while to find, had to go back to the car and study some previous logs before I eventually saw it, and then couldn't believe I hadn't seen it the first time. Nice micro hide Smile Thanks!

Its been a good wile since I first looked for this cache but I finaly made it back. After a hint from the owner I found it after about 40 seconds this time.

The smallest cache I'v found to date. The hardest part was returning the log book.

Thanks Harlips

Found this one on our 2nd attempt. Nearly gave up again, but persistence won through in the end.

Nice hide - very difficult to spot, even though it's in plain view.

Super-quick find just before 2pm. After a long search and a DNF on our first attempt a few months back, we walked up and spotted the cache instantly today. How could we miss this last time? What a great hiding spot!
We are very happy to put a tick next to this cache Smile

Very nice cache, thanks harlips.

We were on our way to dinner at our daughters place, litterly just around the corner and decided to check on the cache. With torch in hand we found it in a few seconds - just where c-pprass found it last time!

A lovely building near gz. Arrived, had a search, had to be aware of a not too far off muggle, searched some more, to no avail. Phoned a friend, who's memory was not perfect, then searched some more, still to no avail. hmmmm. Its got me!

This one was our first cache for awhile. Didn't find it on the first go had to re read the clues.
Then it was easy.

We looked for this one for quite a while, but our search was fruitless.

We will be back!

We found our 10th Harlips cache at 11:40am as the 1st of 5 on route to our Tour de Warburton XII. This took a bit of hunting down before we finally made the find, thankfully without the need for the helpline. Thanks for the cache from D & K B-A.

Fortunately we found this one pretty quickly cause it is not a spot that you can hang around for too long and look inconspicuous. And given its size I would say we had a very lucky find. Thanks Harlips for the cache.

I found this well hidden cache while completing a work related sweep of the suburbs today. The coords were exact and the simplicity of the hide is what makes it good. Thanks harlips.

Now that I have the Oregon, missing these previous DNFs should be a thing of the past.

Found at 4.10pm GAFF1. After a conversation with Geodes who mentioned that we would absolutely love this cache, we found ourselves there today on a harlips caching run. It was also very convenient as we were invited to c-pprass's brother's place for a drink which was just one court away from the homestead.
When we got to GZ we thought that we were going to be in for a long hunt, but somehow c-pprass (who is not good on micros) found the cache in just 30 seconds - an amazing feat considering the sneaky and devious hide which deserves a lot more anguish and gnashing of teeth.
Thanks harlips - we enjoyed your caches on this glorious afternoon.

12:55 was the time this cache was found! What a ripper hide... Found GZ and read the sign while ducking from the muggle traffic, spotted the cache but dismissed it too soon, and concerned that I would have to search the garden beds...but was relieved after reading the description. Then all those fence posts...hollow fence posts, groan. Sometimes we approach caches being too complex...its the simple ones that just pass by unseen. After a while, and feeling very conspicuous, a quick call to Geodes... thank goodness for Geodes! TNLNSL TFTC

I came. I looked. I did the talking one the "GPS phone" thing as muggles drove up the street across the road. I took the clue. I looked again.
I decided I'd better go away and think about this one before some muggle got the wrong idea.
Took rubbish from near what I thought was GZ including a half full cigaret packet to dispose of it.
Didn't mess with the garden and I hope others don't eather.

Another day perhaps.......

Found by Bob at 1915

After getting a big hint from Wendy after my dnf this morning (unsolicited - but I'm not proud Wink), I thought I'd take advantage of the beautifully mild night and headed back here on my way home from work. On my way to work after the dnf, I had a think about the possible hiding spots (it's one of those hides where some time to reflect on possibilities is very useful) and had come to the conclusion that it was probably where I eventually located it - or it was haystacked, and I was already considering coming back tomorrow morning. Tonight, I made it while there was still enough daylight to locate the cache and do my logging - although it took me a minute after opening the cache to realize I was holding the log in my hand - and I'm glad I have a very short geocaching name, because it's just about the smallest log sheet I've ever seen Surprised. As for the cache - well it's a particularly devious bit of work - but it's not haystacked and future searchers do not need to upset the garden beds Wink.

Thanks Harlips - a particularly cunning hide and very inventive. If I had any complaints, it would be the choice of location - which is a bit "prominent" and many cachers may feel uncomfortable conducting a (possibly) protracted search there - a great hide nonetheless.

No joy for me I'm afraid. I had GZ right outside the gate and was hoping that it wasn't in the very neat garden beds but, after checking all the likely spots not in the garden beds, I was forced to give up. I hope I just missed it but, even if it's not in the beds, I fear they will suffer some damage anyway Sad.

Thanks harlips
