Easy find. Very visible with no lid and log was wet
still some items in container.
still some items in container.
Found it, like rjm1234 before me, the container was in the stream, some of the tradeables were scattered around, there was no lid. I collected things and put it back, but on the ground rather than the traditional up on a beam because the container is too big for that sort of hide.
#1379 - The container disappeared and the papers are scattered on the ground - A maintenance is required.
Found the cache in the water, minus the lid, waterlogged and filthy. Poured the water out and replaced it out of sight about where it should be but it is a mess.
I did not anticipate finding this one, given the recent DNF's. I did find it quite easily as it was in the open, minus lid waterlogged and filthy so unfortunately needs maintenance.
Absolutely not where the gps was pointing. Got wet, cut, and stuck thigh deep in mud. Didn't read the logs... Should have.
Did not find in easy location as expected by previous cachers, nor in a difficult location either.

We literally searched over and under the bridge with no luck. This Troll seems to have disappeared and taken its geocache with it!... Perhaps away starring in the new Hobbit movie!
We made this one trickier than it needed to be by searching in a less accessible (and incorrect) location, then decided to keep it simple and found quickly. A well stocked cache, took Fiona and left a smurf. Replaced the logbook plastic bag.
Enjoyed the walk beside the river.
Littlest Fuddley led the way right to the treasure.

2.35pm. Eventually found but not quite where our gps lead us. Easier in fact but by then we had done the crawling under and over!!

Took a bit of stomping about in the mud, but managed to find it!
Contents of cache very damp, logbook nearly ready to fall apart.
Picked up Percy Penguin TB, TFTC.

Had a bit of a search but a nice challenge - In Princess Fiona figurine - out scooby doo
Quick find - great spot - I'm sure not many would know of this walkway, Thanks
Easy find, the cache was were I was expecting it. We left the trackable as we probably can't take it anywhere new and exciting in the next few weeks and left a marble to add to the swappables.
Loved seeing fantails and hearing the tuis! Dropped Percy Penguin TB off - hope he's not afraid of trolls! Cache was clear view, so I've tried to tuck is out of the way to prevent it being muggled.
Beautiful morning for a walk - lovely spot - cache easy to spot - pushed in a little Thanks for bringing me here TFTC
Nice easy find, no-one about on this drizzly day except for maybe a few eyes from nearby houses.[8]
Was out that way doing some other caches, and had completely forgotten about this one, until it appeared as a nearby cache.
It was easier to get that the one I didn't find!!
Just means I need to make return visit.

Lovely walk, our puppy provided a good diversion/cover for our GC seeking activity
Was working nearby today so took the opportunity to walk along the river in my lunchbreak. Beautiful boardwalk and I didn't have to share it with anyone!
Got within 10m of GZ, and GPSr was pointing the other side of somewhere where I would have had to get my feet wet - didn't fancy that (in smart office shoes!) so I turned round - and there the cache was, easily spotted. Given that I was supposedly still 7-10m from GZ (and my GPSr is usually spot-on), and that the cache was fairly visible, AND that it's location didn't really match with the cache description (no climbing required), I'm not sure that this one is where it's meant to be? Sticking to good caching etiquette, I replaced it where I found it, but this might need an owner check, to confirm that 'cache-creep' hasn't taken it too far from its original hiding spot.

Very quiet area today (due to on-off torrential rain). However I was totally busted by a muggle and his dog... they were so quiet I didn't notice them until the dog was sniffing my leg. He (the human) was friendly but showed no interest in what I was up to. BIG thanks to whoever strategically placed the sizeable stick that allowed me to get the cache in hand without getting dirty. TFTC.
Easy find with good clue. Troll must have been out shopping 'cos he wasn't home. TFTC!
Lovely walkway and nice quick find for the cache. Left a pencil in there since there wasnt any. Picked up the TB
#98
Had a short walk in the morning. Some mugels have been there, but we managed to log and put in a TB.

Very easy find; found it in first place I thought of looking. Logbook was a bit damp, though, IIRC. TFTC.
5.25pm - We cant believe the walkways that have been erected in Hamilton, they are awesome. TFTC
well, bit of an epic today, rode all the way from melville only to find i had hit the wrong button on my gps and deleted everything! quickly back home and back up here in the car. light fading, had a look at stoney beach but river was so far in flood that standing on the edge of it we still had another 11 meters to GZ! didn't fancy a swim so on to this one! my friend Kylie spotted befopre me, am sure she spotted BEFORE i started a wade through stream and crawl under the bridge but there ya go! anyhow, managed to locate! a nice little walk! tnlnsl tftc
Nice easy one, met fellow cachers along the way. Took a little plastic bug, paid for it with an old 50 cent piece.
Crossed a few bridges before finding trolls treasure.
Meet fellow geocachers out enjoying the sunny day.

TFTC. Very nice walk along the riverbank, will be back another day to find the rest of the caches along here.
Found it during a Cache raid in the Tron with the son. Nearly could not get it due to recent feeling of trees, but after walking all the way I were determined to get to it no matter what. The Trolls must be really happy living here. TFTC
We come from The Netherlands and were visiting Hamilton. After a nice walk alongside the Waikato we could awake the troll easy. TFTC.
Ahh... the classic hide. Used the Troll alternative may times, it avoids and damage to the bush.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
No problems with the hide though one needs to keep an eye out for early morning muggle walkers here.

Found after a bit of unnecessary extra scrambling around. After all that rain it is a bit 'goopy' in parts, so I should have checked the easier bits first.
Quite eeiry in the morning fog.
Checked a few less obvious spots first as is the way!

Hmmm, kids looked like part of the troll family when they emerged from the swamp with this cache..... Picked up TB. TFTC
Clues gave away *exactly* where it was, but in the process ended up to my ankles in extremely stinky mud, had to loose my shoes and socks for the rest of the day
Easy find. No4 acted like a troll and retrieved it for us. Quite a popular park for locals having picnics and swimming.TFTC
