Still there 3 years later. St Peters in the Forest is a beautiful 100+ year old church. Once surrounded by puriri and totora forest. Only 3 or 4 native trees left now but beautiful views to W and NW.
Stopped by on the way home from the Coromandel as a break and a cache sounded like a good idea. Located the cache pretty quickly and the took a moment to enjoy the view in the sunshine before hitting the road again. TFTC!
Off to Hampton Downs for some Go Karting with the kids but had a few minutes spare to come find this cache. My youngest spotted the cache from the path so we pushed it in a bit further. All good here. TFTC. Grabbed the TB
Nach einer langen Reise wurde heute hier ein Trackable mit dem Ziel Auckland abgelegt.
A cold wind prevailed as we searched for this cache. Unfortunately the church was locked so we couldnt check out the history but we did find the cache. Thankyou for the cache.
We arrived early in the day and there was no one around so we enjoyed having a peaceful look around the church grounds.
It didn't take us too long to locate the cache but we started looking in slightly the wrong spot so could have been quicker.
A nice tidy and dry cache in a restful spot.

Nice easy one, tftc! Byo writing stick though as the pencil isn't there any more
After a few injuries we finally found it Cute little cache and an absolutely lovely church ️
I can't believe how awesome the view is from up here. I reckon they've got to be the best.
Beautiful views from this peaceful spot.
Took us a few goes to find the cache with great camouflage!

Made a detour to come and find this cache, loved the location, and yes I did admire the stained glass windows
It would have been extra special if I could have looked at the windows from within, but not meant to be.
Lovely location, cache spotted straight away. I wiped/dried out the contents, removing some of the rusty items. Luckily waterproof paper has been left by a previous finder, so had no problems signing.
A fun find, thanks TheWonderStuff for bringing me here!

Our first find in lockdown4 wearing gloves and full ppe! On our regular walking route so no bubbles burst! Nothing added or taken away. Replaced in same spot.
We had to return to this one a little later in the day once the church goers had left from their gathering. It was not exactly where we were expecting it but we still managed to locate it
Great little spot, not for someone with a sore back tho.
Would suggest some maintenance as all the paper was wet. Be careful as there is a glass object inside.

What a cool name for a church even tho no longer in a forest. Cache a bit wet inside. Tftc
Heading up to Northland to meet the kids for Christmas. Decided to pull off the motorway and potter up the Great South road to collect some caches. Definite peace and quiet here after leaving all the traffic. Having never visited Bombay before it surprised me how small and quaint it was. Loved the church. Thanks for the smiley.
On a girls' road trip to Port Waikato and we stopped in Bombay to collect a couple of caches. We replaced the log on this one as it was sodden
Heading to Port Waikato with Merlot58, Supernanny and Nette1234 for the day, we detoured to collect this cache. Very quiet at gz today and we found the cache in the first place we looked. We added a waterproof log as the old log is sodden.
This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.
The log is completely sodden. I'm not sure why as there didn't appear to be anything immediately wrong with the container, but it could certainly use a little TLC.

North Island Campervan trip Day 11 - the drive home.
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
So the trip was all but over. I had already returned my wonderful little campervan back to the hire place earlier this morning, so now it was just the 550km drive home. But not before I spent an hour grabbing a few solved puzzles/challenge caches in this area first.
GZ was quiet this morning when I got here. That allowed me to make my search in peace without worrying too much about Muggles. This one turned out to be a quick find, but on opening the cache I encountered a completely sodden log. It is pretty much munted at the moment. I was only just able to make my mark before everything was replaced as found ready for the next searcher.
Thanks for setting up this cache

Wet cache, so have taken a photo of log book. Would benefit from someone with a bit of time to leave log book dry in the sun while enjoying the location.
11:53 we failed to take the coordinates and hint with us, however, after a while, we were celebrating success; weather - clear sky, 23 C; thank you for the cache and regards from the Czech Republic
Caching with themexikiwi and themexikiwi's mum and decided to try for a few caches whilst heading away for the weekend for some night kayaking near Karapiro.
Bit of a hunt to find the right spot but didn't take too long and we were soon in business and away again. Nice spot - TFTC

Blaming the phone gps, but actually, looked in the logical spot but could not see anything
Found with mudbuzzie while in NZ for a wedding. This was a great little find while out and about. TFTC
On A road trip with Dee+ME from Tauranga. Have been having a poke around here and there and been taken to some great places, many thanks to all you COs for your placements. Today we start to make our way south again. Was up early to make the most of the day. Cheers
On our way home from a week up North caching and cycling.
Nice hide, log full.
Cheers

A lovely old church with a wonderful view over the graveyard. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC.
I'm on my way to the Mega in Wellington with thegreatauk. We have a great plan sorted with lots of caching along the Highways and stops in Hamilton and Palmerston North before spending a few days in Wellington. We stopped at the park along the road for a cuppa then headed off here. An easy find, thanks
On a long trip down to the mega with Lis's crew. So for me it good for numbers and favorites caches. With several stops and a lot of caches and several souvenirs up for grabs the trip was the perfect opportunity to get my numbers up and get some challenges that I have qualified for. For today we managed 25 which is good. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches.
On a 24hr mission to Auckland with Philip.Perry and three of my kids started caching at about 3pm getting back to accommodation at 330am then up and back on the road for a xouple of hours before heading home. We decided we had three caches we had to find this mission then the rest was all about getting our numbers up so concentrated on a high cache area. Meet Sethraven just on dusk who helped us on a cache we couldnt find before she headed home so that was great. Really enjoy caching in Auckland at night no traffic and no muggles to get in our way. We only had a few DNF caches for the day which isnt to bad. Thanks to all th CO for the caches.
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend - just had to drop the family off in Pukekohe first and then meet up with Davidsonclan. We had a few caches on the list today but mainly this was just a numbers mission. A late start meant we'd be late to finish but 3am isn't too bad. There were some great finds and some grotty finds but cheers to the CO's and those that help maintain their caches. Coords were a little out for us but the cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to a straight forward placement. An interesting little bit of history, Cheers TWS, TFTC

Nice quick park and grab. Lovely sunny winters day. Loved the peaceful atmosphere of this place. TFTC
After dropping off my host kid at school I had time to do Geocaching so I drove to Bombay to find some.
This was the first one today. Found free got the right look from the right point of view.
