Couldn't find this one. We didn't see the clip either, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there. Very busy today, but a lovely spot.
Well this was certainly interesting... We too came in along the dirt road, and after a 30 minute detour back around town, we made our way to GZ After a quick search we couldn't spot it, and sure enough, the cache has gone as per the several previous logs...

Found the clip so logging a find.
Left a smiley sticker on clip.
Very nice spot to camp...everyone looked relaxed.

Almost found this one. Geokids found the clip for the GC but not GC attached. Either this has be stolen or removed for some reason and needs to be maintained. Will go back in future if replaced as is a beautiful spot
Seems this one has a few hunters coming in from the dirt track adjacent the walking path. Me included... I too found out later that is is supposedly private property but, only when advised by the managers of the park and they were very nice about it. In fact, they let down their bush gate so I could come through and not have to go out the way I came in... [^]
THe SatNav had no idea the road in actually existed and it is a new unit with only two weeks on the clock... Speedmistress, can I suggest addition of some coords to direct future hunters to the intersection where they can drive in and not suffer the potential wrath of the people on "the other side'...
Back to the hunt though and even with muggles wandering around, the cache was spotted quickly and retrieved with no trouble. Nice to see this one has been in action for some time. It's a nice spot to be drawn too and I would have never found it otherwise... Gotta love that about this sport...
Cheers Speedmistress.

Nice area (if you don't mind powerboats playing music from the other side of the dam that you could hear on the bank). Even though they have signs up saying dogs on leads, someone has very kindly fenced off an area in the corner that appears to be dog friendly.
Great area. Very busy. TFTC

Here for a camping weekend with the family and some friends. Went for a look while they shopping in town but the rain got the best of me so went back later and ther it was. TFTC
Found it after the GPS took us up a track. Find the turn in near the Laidley Golf Club that's the best way in.
The last time I was here there was very little water and lots of grass growing from the lake bed. Very different now! A great bird-watching spot and I got a cache TFTC Speedmistress
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga 2 at 11:53am. The GPS had us trying to approach from the wrong direction so it took a while to find the correct entrance. The cache is in good condition and appears safe. There are about 6 camps in residence at the moment. TFTC
Have had a few goes at this one in the past, today the planets aligned and we found it. TFTC
A beautiful area and certainly popular! I thought lunchtime during the week would be completely empty but how wrong I was. No problems getting the cache though. I wonder how high the dam came at the peak of the floods. Thanks Speedmistress
At the dam in our motorhome Coco & the place is looking lovely !!! Never seen the dam so full, spent the weekend out at Mulgowie where it rained heavily & the wind blew like mad..one of our chapter members lost their awning it wrapped its self over the top of the m'home unreal!!! Anyway the cahce is in a lovely area & hope if Speedmistress is a local she missed the nasty floods they had in Laidley, its a gr8 town & very motorhome friendly. TFTC x ps put cache in new bag as it was a tad damp after the w'end
*(&*^& TomTom taking me on the other side of the entrance! After sorting out where to go and how to get there, I managed to find GZ and start the hunt. I found the clever little beast after a while. The log is a little "disfigured" but is dry and very usable. A few muggles about - but none near me. A nice area indeed. TFTC Speedmistress
a very wet day but we found the cache without too much fuss..nice to see the dam so full, log book was a little damp tried to dry it as much as we could, TFTC!!
Nice hide in a beautiful location. This one had us searching for a while.

Just when you thought the Neanderthal was totally extinct.
If you find yourself as we did, following a well used vehicle track along a walking or bike path because that is where our car nav sent us. Avoid at all cost the loud, rude, extremely agressive and totally unreasonable knuckle dragger that lives in the house next to the camping area.
A few quotes from the 'missing link' "GPS doesn't work in rural areas, everyone knows that" "That is council land and because I work for the council I can say who can come down here".
I could go in as there were 3 tirades from "Gronk" before we left, 2 directed at my wife and one at me.
Might have to work out a better approach to this one for our next attempt.

This one took a while as we didn't have the hint with us.
Look out for Muggles though...

Busy day on the water today. Lots of muggles around. Don't think we were sprung. SL TFTC [^]
Up this way for the long weekend and took the opportunity to collect a couple of caches. Nice easy find. TFTC TNLN SL
TomTom didn't want us to get to this one - it just kept trying to send us the wrong way. Could not find the cache, although the co-ords seemed good, I found a likely hiding spot and a possible attachment device though. What I did find was angry ants - lots and lots of angry biting ants.
Thanks anyway Speedmistress.
Thanks anyway Speedmistress.
Out with Ms Learner Driver so that she could clock up a few hours behind the wheel. Now if one has to be out...why not pick up a cache or two along the way?
This was a hot spot this afternoon....the outside temp was registering at 36.6C I couldnt tempt my travelling companions to leave the aircon....whimps!!
I really dont know how I missed this one the last time I visited....but it down to cache blindness!
Nice easy find today. Cache dry and in reasonable condition.
Thanks
We were camped at this area so did the cache while here. Contents were wet so dried them out. TFTC
Found by Straddie Heaven and myself but I must admit I was looking for the wrong type of clip. TFTC
Found with Dannza on the way home from a caching expedition of Toowoomba. Lots of campers but none paid any attention to us as we took in the view of the dam and grabbed the cache. Plastic bag was in a sorry state so replaced with a new one. TFTC
Found after a quiet BBQ lunch. Lovely spot, obviously very popular with campers and caravans and the like. Have never seen the dam as full as this.
The eclipse tin looks like it has a bullet hole in one side, and log book is very soggy - the plastic bag is full of holes, but didn't have a replacement handy.
TFTC.

Morning smoko then found it @11am, been to this lake b4 always dry , great to see it nilly full and green, TFTC Speedmistress
.Nice easy find with the family however since you replaced it with an eclipse pack an entire colony of ants took up residents in it. I mean choc a block with ants and eggs.
Found GZ and the clip at 0900. I suspected that this one was probably missing. I have replaced the container with an eclise tin ( Black) and a new log book. You will need to provide your own writing instrument. Have contacted the owner and Dell is going to check on this one, May change again. TFTchase
With some one camped only 20 metres away it was a tough one to get. How does one make an excuse to get this (without kids)... My kingdom for a geo-kid!!!

Found this one after a brief search today. We had the area pretty much to ourselves. Lovely spot for a picnic, we haven't been here before! Thanks for the cache!
Stopped here for lunch. A clever hide. We had to wait for some other cachers to depart before starting the search. I'm sure the campers nearby were bemused by all the activity in a corner of the park.

Had lunch here before looking for the next cache. Even after our lesurely lunch, we watched from a distance fellow geocachers tracking down the cache. Was tricky and fun to find. Very clever.

Have been here before as we have friends in the area. There were quite a lot of people camping in the park today.
We were just about to give up when we found the cache. A very simple but very effective hide.

It's not often I can say I have found a cache the great Wingap couldn't find TFTC.
Thought I would be the FTF,but beaten to it by LOCHB. Found easily. Great hiding location. Took FTF prize and left mouse. TFTC
*FTF* today!!! After finding a cache by the same owners in Dalby the other day (and some encouragement over coffee by LEDGIN's) I had a fair idea where this one could be hiding. Back I went, following LEDGIN's and the cache was located quickly, watched by the owner. How did I miss it last time? I guess last time a number of things went wrong - one of them that I trusted the street navigator and ended up on a dirt road, divided by a fence from the picnic/camping area and had to drive all the way back to the other side of the lake...
BTW - there is NO need to disassemble any pipes...
TFTC LEDGIN's!

To good for me this morning.
I'm not saying it's not there....just that I couldnt find it.
Umm... I was warned by the owners that this one could be frustrating. Well, it was - as I didn't find it. Looked everywhere between water metre and pipe. Is this the former location of a house?
Will have to come back with someone with a better GPSr.
