Staying a few days in Port Augusta on our way from Perth to SA Oz Mega at Murray Bridge. We just couldnt help to find a few caches whilst here.
After completing Port Augustas first P.T this morning then having a rest over lunch we couldnt help but head out to try and complete a few more whilst in town.
After DNFing a multi we tackled this one next and again a DNF. Thats alot of DNF's for us in Port Augusta [xx(]

Our GPS's took us to the spot where a bloke was sitting in his car, the front of which was almost touching GZ. So we turned tail and had just gone a few hundred metres when the muggle drove past. A quick return soon revealed the cache. TFTC Freddo the local
Found while waiting for the grandson's footy to start,& dodging the showers, TNLNSL.
Found the super strong magnet. Found the not so strong magnet too. Not sure which was the "live" one or why there were two as both were in the same location & not too hard to find. So we signed both logs to be safe & moved on. After the local boatie drove past to ask if we'd "found it!" Found with JonDell & Subtlevox.
Damn. Funny how your cache goes missing and you put out a replacement without checking to see whether the original cache is really gone. I will retrieve one of the caches at my next visit in a couple of weeks.
Found it with a few mates while exploring the area. We had to laugh when we saw a truck amble in to the area and then turn around and drive off. I suppose they saw the sign. A beautiful part of the shoreline. I love the way that the Flinders Rangers look like a 2D movie set. TFTC Freddo.
Found It!

So this now makes our total find count 6797.

Found while we stopped here briefly to pick up some groceries for our trip north to warmer climates.
(It's blustery, wet and miserable here today.)
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks Freddo for the hunt today.

After setting up our caravan at Shoreline CP in Port Augusta , Mrs one-eyed and I paid a visit to the waterfront boat launching ramp , we were unable to find the cache last August on our holiday to the Eyre Peninsula SA but found it okay this time.
Great sunny weather in this important town at the crossroads of Australia.

A nice spot to stop and watch the water activities. Left an appropriate token.
Took a while but eventually found right where I thought it would be. TFTC!
Tis amazing with a bit of rain all the muggles disappear and the frogs come out to play, quick find in the drizzle TFTC
Never get tired of finding these mint tin caches - in a logical spot (nice views).

After spending the weekend 4WDing at the Argadells, it was time to head home sort of . The temperature was around 41C and there were strong winds but I had airconditioning and plenty of water so lets go caching. Spent the day caching Pt Augusta and Pt Pirie but had to give up once the thunderstorms hit.
A quick find and sign - a few swimming in the area today. TFTC.

The coast guard were retrieving a boat but they were too busy with their own activities to worry about us. TFTC.
I hear that a nice meal can be had at a nearby pub. I only had time to sign the log and head off for another cache. TFTH Freddo.
After not finding towering views, we wandered a bit further and grabbed this one. A tribe of 5 eventually had a 'boy look' and found it easily.
Any easy find tonight, with some extra help from Mustard keen as, Nothing up my sleeve and BillandWill.

Greetings from Brisbane!
29th find of 33 found during a week long bus tour from Adelaide through the South Australian countryside to Lake Eyre and back. This awesome trip was an organised bus tour, full of (now half converted) muggles, and a bus driver that "has done a few geocaches with mates". The goal was to find a cache at every stop we made, if possible, but not to disrupt the tour. Mission accomplished.
Arrived in town to start a boat tour. Jumped off the bus and grabbed a seat to get my bearings for where the ... oh[^]
Thanks for placing this cache, Freddo. Found in good condition.

20th find out of 21 finds on my drive home from Edithburgh. A nice quick easy find. TFTC.
Eldest geo-daughter quickly had her hand on this one. Did anyone else notice the 2 signs contradicting each other near ground zero? We had a bit of a laugh at these. Looks like a few muggles have got hold of this cache and signed the log as well. SL TFTC!
Lovely view of the bridge and river/remains of gulf from here. Cheers Gav [11812]
Intrigued with the two signs at our parking spot. Found the cache with Rediguana. TFTC

A nice and warm day to do caching around Port Augusta today...took a while before Mr Bushies2 finally found it just before muggles came. Thanks Freddo.
Didn't take us long to find. Co-ords were a little off but we got it in the end.

We found this cache quite quickly. However, the cache was not in good condition. The logbook had fallen apart and the lid of the container was detached. As a temporary measure we bagged the loose pages into a small cliplock bag. Some maintenance is urgently required. TFTC Freddo
A quick find after a quick look . SL. The container needs replacing - the hinge on the lid is broken and the log book is pretty full. Thanks to Freddo for the cache.
This was our lunch stop heading west today. Great spot .

Found at night after an earlier attempt when there were heaps of muggles around!
No go again, i wonder with the recent kings tides in this area if the cache is still here ??????
We pulled up here and except for a lone boaty launching his boat we had a free reign to search. After a quick look in the most likely locations we had nothing, we came up empty handed. We started a more intense search and found it in one of the first places we had originally looked
Thanks Freddo for showing us another part of Port Augusta that we hadn't seen before

I found 'Porter Guster' to be a great introduction to Geocaching. Look for my smiley face on the dinky little notepad! Cheers!
Rested on the seat while I signed the log, basked in the gentle late afternoon sunlight, admired the view across the water and took in the smell of rotting fish . Does it get any better than this? A memorable 400th cache for me - only 1,303,543 to go by today's reckoning. TFTC
Just got this one sussed when a car full of muggles arrived and parked about three metres away. Tried to out-wait them but they were in the aircon and I wasn't. Couldn't even sit on the nearby metal seat - it would have caused third degree burns to bits of me that don't need heat treatment!
Returned to our car for a cool drink and was just about to drive off when they left as quickly as they came.
Went back and checked out my hunch - spot on!
There was certainly no snow at the north pole today!!!

#9 of 28 caches today. Found at 10.56am on a very HOT day in Port Augusta. We really enjoyed the hunt around this town (its the longest we have spent here too!). Thanks heaps...
Had 2 attempts at this. Muggles first time, second time successful. Clue was helpful. TFTC. This was another find on our caching trip in Port Augusta.
Our final cache for the day - Ian and Bruce made the find together and then it was back to the caravan park to start on the logs.
