In Albury for the weekend with DARKSIDEDAN and C10A. This was our first find for the day. Thanks for the cache, Marcus Vitruvius
TFTC great rainy day with no one around and visitors from Canberra to find this treasure
Visiting family in the area and thought we would check this one out. Geokid locked on right away. Tftc
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 19: After a warm night camping at the Ettamogah Pub, we set off for a day of caching in Albury.37 degrees is not the weather for this sort of caching. Dark clouds were surrounding us, but all the while only teasing us with the prospect of cooling rain.We spotted two potential subjects. The first was not it, the second was. Well hidden! The container was not properly sealed and the log book had an ever so slight dampness. Signed the log and resealed the bags and fixed the seals so the container closed properly. Thanks Marcus Vitruvius for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? Why not check out the geocaching lists available on the [Geocaching Victoria Website](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/). There are plenty to choose from including all of the previous nominees and winners of the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards.
A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY NINETEEN: A couple of nights camped at Ettamogah Pub, so time to explore Albury/Wodonga.Walking up from Walsh Street, this felt a little like a T4 hike, thanks to the 34 heat, but once at gz, the cache was quickly discovered by RoamingHowie. Its all downhill from here! Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Marcus Vitruvius ~~
Wandered the area for a while with the kiddos and enjoyed the great view.
Eventually referred to some previous finds for a possible hint and was able to locate it.
Amazing hide and the kids loved it!
Some water damage to log book, but still intact.
Thank you.

standing at the edge of the state
we are wanting to head back to victoria
back onto our familiar home soil
but
before we go
we will go on one last hike goodbye
we’re not in the mood for a multi-hours extravaganza
spending a few hours off the beaten track
we just want to savour a last taste of new south wales
something to break up the drive
stretch the legs again
so:
boots laced
backpacks at the ready
set to bid the state adieu
the path was a little rocky, a little steep
we garnered a little sweat on the brow
and
signed the visitor’s book
now
we’re off
off to our own turf

A short stop in Albury and a city of unfound caches.. where do we start? Eliminating all the unsolved mystery caches certainly cut the numbers down. We ended up here for a short bush walk. Didn't spot the cache till we realised what size we were looking for then the very nicely hidden container was found.. a little damp inside but some dry weather should fix it. TFTC Marcus Vitruvius.
Found it it is slightly off from where it told us it was but hey we got there! ️
We were a little concerned that the previous cacher didn’t find it, but given the DR rating we thought we would give it a go and we didn’t have a problem.
Mr Riddell walked by and thought um that doesn’t look quite right and further investigation proved that, as there was the medium sized cache.
There was water in the box we needed to tip out but the log is nice and dry in its bag.
Goodness knows how water gets in there!
It must be condensation.
We put things back again and commented to each other how “ normal” it now looks.
A very sneaky hide.

The high road or the low road? Fortunately we chose the right one and found a cache with a view. Tftc.

Last day on the hunt for this trip to Albury, brings me here today. I clambered up here from the hospital - that's a steep little hill, and after a bit of a search I found the well hidden sneaky container. Nice work.
Thanks Marcus Vitruvius for entertaining me at this location.

A 2 day trip with ZQX to Albury and Wagga Wagga, focusing on some higher D/T caches. After an approx 10km wander up, over and around NailCan Hill, we dropped by this cache. Cache soon found after a short stroll. TFTC.

Tftc Marcus Vitruvius, very cool hide. Having found some Marcus hides in Newcastle helped us find this.
Quick find as we went out earlyish before the heat turned up to inferno levels forecast today

Very well done hide. Walked around and even sat on it once ... favourite point from me

A list was made for some caches taking Catnap777 and I west. Before I say any more, most of which Catnap says about me is................ hmmmmmmmmmm truthful? Ok, I agree with most. An early start to the day being overcast with mainly drizzle than rain. Another fun day wih Catnap and a sincere thanks for her company and wit. Milestone for her as she reached 400 caches and a TB added to it. Did I mention this is a generic log ? Thanks all cache owners for cache placement and should any cache require maintenance, CO would be informed. Cheers.
Catnap strikes again! Do I need to say anymore. Ozreg is confounded. Great hidey spot. Thanks for the challenge
Ha ha - the night search in the dark may have helped here as a lot of other spots get eliminated - that’s my theory anyway! LOVR it! TFTC
Thanks- this is who I love geocaching so much. I didn’t know this reserve was here and I’ve lived in town over 30 years.
This cache had previously eluded me and today I decided to have another go, i arrived at GZ after some old fashioned bush bashing. I looked for awhile but nothing came up, I resorted to looking a previous logs and some details stuck out to me. I had a look at a new location and discovered the container
After poking around for ages with the GPS being a bit scattered today I finally read back through some logs and quickly had the cache in hand
AWesome hide. We found it at night. Very cool ..found with Orion60 and Lokkisomerville.tftc
What a fantastic hide, had us searching round and round in circles lol. Had us stumped for awhile with jackpern1974 TFTC
What a tricky cache! After searching with matho64 we used our muscle power and located the cache. A favourite one TFTC Take a pen too!
A new day dawns so another cache or two are required for our continuing collection today we collected two whilst travelling in a northerly direction on our way back to home.
Thanks Marcus Vitruvius for placing this cache in such a wonderful location for us to add to our growing collection of smilies.
Grand Cache count = 948 total consisting of 891 Traditionals, 26 Multi, 14 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual, 6 Event, 2 Werigo and 3 Letterbox.

A hot thirsty trudge up to this one. Does anybody know where I can get some water?
Drop tbs from the mega this weekend..

Found 11:36 26/8/17 on a lovely day while visiting my dad in the nearby hospital. Thank you Marcus Vitruvius for the cache.
As others suggested parked at Mount Street, followed the track and was only the last 30 metres through the kangaroo thorn to find the cache. Lucky for other logs as could have taken awhile but a nice quick sign of a still dampish log. TFTC
Found on an afternoon walk before school pickup. Had to continue walking much further than anticipated due to dog walkers in the area. Eventually found, a great hide. A fav point from me
Gorgeous walk on a crisp Albury winter morning. If you are not a mountain goat like me , I can recommend parking at the top of Mount St and walking along the ridge behind the houses. A short scramble into the bush to get to GZ.
Be careful here with kiddies or at night, there is barb wire at knee height.
Found the hide pretty quick, after reading through the logs while I was still under the covers this morning. Thanks for the amazing effort in putting this one out there.
First log in 6 months - found the cache and log slightly damp but that is to be expected. Pen didn't work so I left another one. Fav for me because of the fantastic views and tricky hide.

Out for a hunt with my brother today. Bit of bush bashing and before long we had the cache.
A favourite place to walk and enjoy the native vegetation, I was unaware until recently there were caches up here!
Clever hide (consulted previous posts for some tips). The wildflowers nearby are gearing up to put on a stunning display, starting soon.
Thanks Marcus for encouraging more people to come and enjoy this lovely reserve, and for the hide!

Beaut walk up the hill then a little bit of bush bashing before locating this clever hide. Thanks Marcus.
Really?! Are kidding...what is this, bush week! Talk about goin bush. More prickle trees than you can poke a stick at. Geomum (theredfox) found after use of a particular photo.
Two phones jumping all over the place. But after climbing up and down a few times finally found it. Tftc had me stumped for awhile
Very clever hide. Somewhere I'd never visited even though had lived here for 20 + years. Took caching (and ptw312 xx) to make me take the trip. Tftc.
Visiting Albury for a quick couple of hours from Melbourne on non-caching business. Made time to grab a few close by ones to make the trip extra worthwhile. This one had us really sweating in the boiling hot weather. Was a little concerned for snakes so took extra care and made lots of noise as we went. TFTC SL
This one is currently surrounded by hedge wattle which if you know it you know it isn't fun to be walking through. Tried from one side then the next, finally made my way in and sat down for a quick sign. Cache was wet but the double bagging has helped and log dry. Thanks for the effort Marcus Vitruvius.
On an unexpected trip to Albury visiting family I parked at a place with easy access to the cache. I found a decoy at first with an empty recess so thought muggled! I went back to the car to check logs and tried the place I unsuccessfully searched earlier. Nice hide, log a little damp but ok. Left a pathtag and Fav Pt TFTC MV.
After finding Al (R.I.P), followed the track further up the hill to this cache. Nicely hidden. TFTC Marcus Vitruvius.
Found this one a few weeks ago, but didn't get the chance to log it til now. This one has a beautiful view at nighttime
Finally found today, I have been meaning to do this one since I started working nearby. TFTC MV

#2265 Out and about in Albury area this afternoon and looking for a cache big enough to hold a GC that wants to visit all States of Australia. It started off in Victoria, so we have helped it into NSW. Decent uphill walk to this cache passing lots of those reservoirs along the way. SL at 3.50pm TN Left: Around Australia GC Race #2 geocoin. 'Tanks' for the cache MV.
Eureka! A very sneaky hide indeed! The trick is to see what vegetation seems a little out of place
Found the cache but I didnt really like the spot because there was a few undesirable people hanging around the water tank.
A nice walk to GZ with a clear trail to follow. Didn't expect to see a fencepost here in the middle of the scrub. Soon had the cache in hand and dropped off a turtle TB for further adventures. TFTC
