As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation this in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
I've been to this cache a few times. I can confirm it's gone. Muggled pretty bad, not much left. Not even the container. Sorry
My second DNF for the day. I too found the sandwich bags and swap cards but no container or log. I really don't think we should be credited with a DNF if the cache is not there.
Perhaps a maintenance check will confirm the loss and perhaps a temporary archive should be placed on it until then.

Foubd the gz no problems, but unfortunatley the cache has been muggled. We found only a couple of cards, plastic bags and cache info sheet scattered around the general area. No sign of the container or the log. Looks like it gone.
We now have a personal TB to track the km's travelled while caching so just dipping it in to catch up on the km's

We were going to attempt this one on Saturday evening but there were people everywhere at the track and at the reserve or what ever it is next door and were near GZ, so came back tonight. It was then a quick find - there's a bit of a geotrail but only along the grass. Cache was a bit exposed so we tried to rehide a bit better, however if there's lots of wind it may become exposed again.

I managed to walk over it so another in the group trod on it. It is not that well hidden but a good journey there along a slightly worn path.
Found 12:45, a nice quick find in a pleasant piece of bushland.

Found again at 22:45, figured I'd just swing by and take mr penguin, been a while since I have been here, a Ton of new grass. Had to whip out the iPhone, no internet access (3 issue) but found it in the end, took penguin and turtle for a trip down to phillip island this weekend. Left "scout" one dollar coin. Good to see my themed item is still there. anyway Thanks for the cache
No BMXers around this morning. Took nothing & left a Batman Card. Also dropped off a Turtle TB to keep the Penguin TB happy. TFTC.
Found at 4.20pm after dodging BMXers and dog walkers. Veryuddy after recent rains, but cache is dry.

Last time I came past here to find this cache there were council workers doing replanting only meters from GZ so I didn't even attempt to look for it but today the coast was clear. Actually saw the cache from the track so made the dash for a quick log and then covered the cache a bit better than before. TFTC.
Always lovely caching on a Sunny day with BigMutts1 - studying should wait for a rainy day! A nice straightforward find, our first of the day.
first find for the day with Dolly2cv6. Nice to be out and about with good weather.

Very nice area, I did not know this was here. I just thought it was the BMX track.
The area around the cache is starting have a track form so it may be too easy to find once you get near it
Great photos of Nicole, Ahh fond memories.

This was cache # 9 of 9 for the day, on my clean up some east link caches day. No bandits about today, so i had the place to my self for the find, I laughed at the photo of Nicole Kidman on the BMX. My thanks to drop-wombat for the cache.
Another find for pikaRanger! We had to create a cover story so that the muggles on the BMX track wouldn't be suspicious. Over all, a pleasant place and a fairly easy find. We left a chameleon and pink dinosaur rubber and took a Tigger keychain and purple plane.

Good hiding spot off the main track. We liked the appropriately themed item in the cache that we took a photo of the cache’s contents. No swaps. Thanks drop-wombat.

Rather conspicuous as we were retrieving the container. Quick log and return and then a quick snack on the seat.

Found this after having lunch with c-pprass. I'm glad it was a short walk as I'd eaten too much. The BMX Bandits were in evidence today, it being the last day of the school holidays. Thankfully, this didn't effect retrieval of the cache, good hiding drop-wombat. TNLN TFTC.
Nice quick find in one of those unknown parks out in the 'burbs. Thanks for bringing me here.

This was a stream of caching that was to take me along a ribbon of freeway from Williamstown to Frankston.
No BMX bandits today...they were all playing footy!!!

Found by Mary & David at 1545. We getting the impression that you enjoyed the film, and Nicole? We enjoyed the park and some interesting remnant bush. Now we need to get a move on before the school children appear. Plenty of birds about. Our thanks to drop-wombat.
I attempted this soon after it was published but failed to find it. This time, the GPSr took us 20 metres in the opposite direction and we found it very easily. Can't explain what happendd the first time.
The cache was pretty obvious and had become uncovered, so we improved the cover a little.
Thanks drop-wombat. Interesting place.

Found with Sweetnsweet. Again, nice area. One day we will get new bikes. And after that day, they will sit in the garage for a year, before being moved to the shed, where they will rust, and we will eventually throw them away because bikes are so cheap now. Then we will wait a couple years and get some new bikes that will sit in the garage for a year, before being moved to the shed, where they will rust, and we will eventually throw them away because bikes are so cheap then. An easy find for King Jnr, with my queen and squire - pretending to be a BMX bike near by. Thanks
Second one for the day after a long walk. Nice and easy drive. Good to see there is some where for the kids to ride safely. I was just born to soon. Retrived 2 travel bugs. Thanks for the cache.
Cool spot. Saw a couple of kids with bikes on the track, and there was a cricket game going on at the park next door.
It would be best if other cachers could avoid further damage to the fence. It's not necessary to climb through it.

Gnarly cache page write-up, totally awesome! BMX Bandits is held close to my heart also, you'd think Nicole Kidman would be more enthusiastic about the movie in interviews rather than storming out. Noticed how her freckles have disappeared too?
I first met my current girlfriend at an 80s themed party and wore a BMX t-shirt, she couldn't resist. The power of the BMX is awesome.
Cheers,

Lots of BMXers on the track today, including one dad having fun riding with his young son. Found the nicely hidden cache without disturbance.

Found at 1200. Was surprised to see how well some of the sections of track were made. Bunny hopped over a couple on my way to GZ for a nice find shielded from view from a couple of passing muggles.
Thanks.
Thanks.
A nice hide in a pleasant area - and I appreciate that the cache is conveniently placed out of view from the BMX track so as not to hinder the search. TNLN & SL at 1:35pm. Thanks drop-wombat for the cache!
Another nice park! Loved the Nicpix. I seem to remember another Nic cache in Canterbury?
Easy find today because there were no bmx'ers on the track. Logged in peace and thankfully it was still Winter which kept the slippery critters away.
Thanks drop-wombat for the cache.

Nice early day caching with barcoder, My 12th cache of 13 for the day found at 1156. Thanks so much for the cache we had to duck rain most of the day. This was a nice size cache and I loved the photo's in here. Thanks again for bringing us here.
I'd left my Magellan turned off. The Garmins were leading the way. This way. No this way. yeah, that way. I hung back and waited for the 3 others to eventually converge, then I went there. Talk about a circus. [:o)][:o)]
Clear skies and thanx drop-wombat from TeamAstro.
Visiting BMX tracks sure brought back memories for me. Our eldest son used to race and we carted him around to race meets all over the place even including Canberra. He got to fourth in Australia at one time so he was quite serious about it. Anyway we found the cache without any problems so that's good.
Thanks indeed

We must have been still asleep because we wandered all over the shop to the find the cache. To early for the bikers next door. Bit muddy too.

Not too many BMX'ers around here today - the joint was deserted! The only muggles we saw were walking their dog.
A nice little park though. A short walk and the cache was in hand.
Thanks, Robmc.

Trust us to take the harder route through all the mud.
A lovely stroll back to the car.
A lovely stroll back to the car.
Continuing northwards and back on (in[?]) 4 wheels, this one showed up on the radar. s and I figured that a break from the great GEGP series wouldn't hurt too much. And it was lucky we did as we got to meet up with Facitman and Rhinogeo who had also just arrived from the other direction for the search .
With our collective sets of eyes on the case, the embarrassment factor was starting to increase as this one-star hide was proving elusive . Eventually though, that click of walking probe on plastic was heard and we were logging the find at 16:18 (OK, they logged the find on this page before we did ).
TNLNSL. Thanks drop-wombat.

As we were in the area today for the GEGP #0 event, EuDes and I popped past here and set off past the BMX tracks (just one dad watching his 3 small kids riding around) and into the bush. As we approached the GZ from the west, Facitman and Rhinogeo approached from the east. A joint search was made until EuDes’ trusty Aldi walking pole caused a very familiar rattle at 16:15. TNLNSL.

Got to gz easily enough and let the gps settle. Once it did, I approached the search area, and as luck would have it for once, the sun was shining at just the right angle and it was a very quick find. I wonder if Nicole will be riding any BMX bikes now that Sunday has been born? Thanks Drop-wombat.
Found @ 18:00. Last one for the evening after going for a walk nearby. Took a while to find in the dark. Eventually found an access point and then waited for the GPS to settle. Cache then located. Thanks. TNLNSL
This is I think the third such named cache that I have found over the years so there is a widespread fixation on the acting talents of one Nicole Kidman.
Oenze and I had no trouble locating the access point for this one and the well stocked cache was soon found.
Thanks.

Find # 2464 and 6th of the day at 11:45am accompanied by Feathertop on another clean up the east day out caching. Easy find after the GPSr settled down a bit, TNLN, Thanx Drop-wombat....
I found our 1st Drop Wombat cache at 5:05pm as the 2nd of 2 on my Home Diversion run tonight. After reading a couple of other logs, I thought that this may be in view of the BMX track but thankfully not so. Though there is one side that someone could sneak up on you from you are fairly sheltered. Thankfully a quick find as this is one of those sorts of hides I have been known to have trouble with. What, no mention of The Stepford Wives? Fair Enough. I did quite like the film "The Others" though. Thanks for the cache from D B-A.
First of four caches on a caching morning with my 18 month old daughter Kira. She wasn't sure about the whole game at this point and I had to carry her but fortunately it was an easy find. Took yoyo, left monster and something else I can't remember. Thanks.
Found at Midnight.
Last one before making my way home. A bit of wandering around, then the cache was found right on GZ. Grabbed the geocoin and will move it on soon. TNLNSL.

Mr Mini used to be a bit of a BMX bandit himself many years ago...but I can't say he was a fan of the movie.
Anyway, the mists of memory did not hamper him today, as without the GPS he walked straight up to the cache location!
As his reward he took the Hot Wheels racer & left a yo-yo, frog, spider & colouring pencils.
Also took My Geocoin Racer. Apologies to the cache owner, as we didn't realise that this had been left for you to experience. Hopefully you'll get to pick up the other coin before it moves on.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks goodness for The Mini Mob today. I had no idea where the cache could have been hiding, but they spotted it with their eagle eyes. It's quite close to the BMX track and kids being kids, will someday wonder what all the people are doing in the bushes and come to investigate. Don't be surprised if it goes missing one day.
I was knd of lucky being born somewhat before the BMX craze happened, so I've never had the enjoyment of jumping over concrete barriers.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks drop-wombat for this cache today. It's a great sized cache container too. Not something you see everyday.

I didn't need the TomTom to navigate to this one. It's just 2.6km from home and I used to help coach an under-12 football side on the grounds next door - until I popped a hammy chasing a kid at training one night and decided a more sedentary role (goal umpire) was more suited to my advancing years . The tennis courts have also received some use and my wife works at a pre-school a bit further north in Purches St - but I've never had a go on the BMX track (and I still haven't!). This morning was ideal for a quick caching trip on the way to work, and the cache was a nice, quick find.
TNLN, but I wonder if pprass will lend me his copy of the DVD - I can't recall having ever seen it.
I was going to take the geocoins but, as the cache owner expressed a desire to see some, I just took the tracking numbers.

I can't believe how quickly you found it. I placed it at 17:30, posted the listing around 18:10 and you got it two hours later! I was expecting to wait 24 hours just for the listing to be approved.
Geodes (and others):
Please feel free to take the geocoins - as these ones are in a race, and I don't want to hold them up. I'm unable to do much geocaching soon, especially not where it would travel the coins far - so, somebody please help them on to their destination. As for the movie, I can leave another copy. It won't be the same as the one that was the prize (wink), but at least you can watch the movie. I'm working late tonight, but should be able to drop it off tomorrow morning.
Thanks for visiting!

Found at 8.10pm GAFF1. After reading the in-decipherable review, we just had to go out and see what this was all about. We were fully expecting to have to mix it with the bandits, but only found a peaceful and quite reserve with a bit of bush adventure. The co-ords were spot on, but for some reason tonight it took a while to get to 1m from GZ. Thanks for the gift - always wanted to see BMX Bandits all the way through - wasn't her hair interesting?
Thanks drop-bandit. We also took the opportunity to drop off a couple of coins that are in a race to Denmark.
