Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Just had a phonecall to tell me that this has washed up on someones farm after the recent floods... Offline until I can pick it up and replace it.
What an adventure!
I thought that the night-time trek from Griffith to Leeton (via other caches of course) would be adventure enough, but the fun all began after my visit to 'Deweys Place'. My first attempt to access 'Followers Paddock' ended up with me bogged up to my 4WD axles in nice thick M.I.A. mud, in the middle of the night, with no help in sight and nothing significant to attach the winch to... Do I walk the remaining 4km to GZ and back again, and get help in the morning, or try a few self-rescues?? Hmmm I needed the truck in the morning, so I improvised a bit and got myself free eventually.
I turned back and found another route in to GZ, but this added an extra 15km to the trip.
Thankfully, a cautious trip down this 'dry weather only' road didn't throw anymore surprises my way, but I certainly wouldn't have taken my 2WD Camry there!
By the time I arrived at GZ (cool sign, and word play, BTW) it was after midnight. I found the cache without difficulty, with the stars twinkling above (thank goodness no rain!) and the lights of Leeton in the distance. There was one other road out, but I went back the way I knew was clear... So perhaps there is still an easy way in! Maybe it IS wise to hit up murf for a bit of local knowledge before trying this one!
Thank you to a few fellow cachers (you know who you are!) who helped me to gather the necessary coords for this cache on short notice.

We really enjoyed the XoE series when it came out last year for many reasons. It really was a good way for like minded Geocachers to work together to not only create and place nasty little caches but the many emails that went to and fro afterwards was very entertaining indeed.
We never actually thought that we would be able to get up this way again but a chance visit to D's cousin in Griffith and we decided to head back this way to make our claims. We were fortunate enough to have found one part of the coordinates in a local cache by Team Rubik and it was a coincidence to see that it was Rubik and 2dudez that made the last find. The remainder of the coordinates were negotiated over time and a few trade offs.
We enjoyed the drive to GZ and it was a very nice and peaceful spot that we found. The name of the cache certainly made even more sense when arrived as well. Nice to see this type of container out in the wild up this way as well. Now swaps made today as GeoJnr and GeoTilly had flaked out in the car. TFTC Murf. Cheers.

After finding this cache's companion before catching up with Murf, it was great to have him ride along with us to watch us find the cache.
Luckily after 35 or so emails regarding my first XoE cache in Vic, I had enough information to go for this one.
On arrival near GZ, the cache name became apparent.
A great size cache, left a sig item (souvenir spoon).
Many thanks to Murf for the cache and glad to have you on board for for our Leeton Night caching expedition.

After dinner and some wonderful company Murf joined us on our night caching jaunt to this interesting spot. It was handy having him on board to provide feedback on my car's lack of suspension! After sussing out the location we finally found the cache and a curious addition to the log book that seemed out of place.... Plenty of great swaps to be had but I left mine back at the motel, d'oh!
Thanks for your navigational advice on this one Murf!

After solving the 1st puzzle and completing the required activities to find these co-ordinates, I finally set off on the trek today. Then I realised I had my GPS but had left my co-ords behind, so had to put in a call to home base and thankfully they were still there. (Back up plan was to tackle murf again & grapple the info out of him).
The road to GZ was OK today, except for the new tar patching goin on, and with no rain around yet, it was an easy dash. When I found the spot the riddle of the name became clearer and the cache was nicely hidden out of view of passing muggles.
Took a key holder & the FTF prize as well as some photos of the nearby emus with the emu coin & left a 2006 collectors Commonwealth games pin.
Thanks again murf, well done and well worth the drive in the bush.
Roostaman.
