Logs
Two years and no servicing of cache nor comment by owner. Found today. Small Temp log and container placed.
Looks like cache has been well and truly muggled - lidless and rusty container lying in the open and torn pieces of old notebook scattered nearby. Pity, as it is a good spot for a cache!
With a bushwalk organised in the bushland west of Alfords Point Road this morning I decided to head down a bit early and grab a couple of caches.
It was very obvious that there had been torrential rain in this area early this morning as I made my way through a very sodden area towards the cache. There were lots and lots of leaf curl spiders in the bush so I picked up a stick. This proved to be a good idea as I was able to use it to prod around and soon heard the familiar sound of a cache container. Turning it over it was relatively dry inside considering the rain we've had since the last finder nearly 2 months ago.
The container however was full of very angry ants who had made it their dry home.
I used some 'write in the rain paper' I had in my geobag to sign as I wasn't touching that logbook!

The container needs replacing, and the logbook too.
There's no lid on the container.
The container has become the home of hundreds of fierce red ants.
The ants are eating the logbook.

Avenged this DNF today; very easy find once arrived at GZ, but far too many spiders and muggles near by
Unfortunately GZ’s lid was missing and GZ itself was full of bull ants, so no signing today, but here’s a picture for proof
TFTC!

Found it with the kids awesome find path isn’t actually there but you can see it
Container is no longer watertight so I covered it with one of the ziplock bags within. Hopefully it lasts!
Great cache Someone had the smart idea to leave bandaids. Took a few bandaids, left some Lion King ooshies and some coins. TFTC
I tried to follow a path on the map that did not exist any more. Came back out the easier way. TFTC
Beautiful spot, found it pretty quick but had to do a bit of bush-bashing to get there!
We weren't willing to battle the giant orb weaver guarding it. Will have to come back
Oldmorty walked along one trail, I walked another, and we met at the end.
Quick find.

OCW frazeydaze. After frazey found a nearby cache we had a brief bush to this cache. TFTC
#2006 Third of seven finds with Rieka on a beautiful Sunday in Sydney. Found after a short search. TFTC
Having had showers earlier i half expected to have to shrug on my raincoat to go grab this one. Thankfully even though it was still windy and overcast i arrived during a dry spell.
I chose the wrong path to the GZ and ended up bush bashing my way there starting at the back corner of the school.
Despite my difficulties reaching the GZ i had no troubles finding the cache once i was there.
The container is in good condition and the log is dry.
Thanks.

It’s was somewhere in the bushes and it was a little hard to find. Contents have rusted somewhat but still have fun finding this treasure!

Picked the wrong time to visit the nearby Tree of Life with the playground at the school being in full swing. So continued on to this one and thought I would do the loop which my map suggested. Found the container quite exposed, so tucked in a little bit more after signing the log. Should have went back the way I came because the path I chose was non-existent but it was only a short distance.

Easy find. Would suggest you park at the school and walk down. Cache had (in our opinion) rubbish in it - used train tickets, receipts, ect. This would be a great first cache for someone to find.
#2409 after going to Menai shops drove here to get this one. Parked near the school then followed the track to the end of the school then headed to the house. At the closest point to GZ I headed in and soon found the cache
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Ozshockwave from Elizabeth Carter

Got to the most obvious of parking spots but decided to go to a nearby cache first and see if we could approach from there... we quickly realized that was the better option and a nice find after a meander through the reserve... the geokids loved the fun and especially the previous finders can of baked beans ha ha... log signed .. the cache container a bit damp and rustyish inside and some of the swaps not much good anymore.. sorry no container with me to replace it this time... visiting from WA so dont have my full kit with me... thanks for bringing us here...
Had a great adventure. Trail was a bit difficult to walk on but still good fun. Tftc
Located at 12:09pm. #764. Dragon Souvenir Unlocked . I started the morning early with high terrain Earth and Traditional Caches and was starting to feel peckish and in need of a coffee. So quickly before answering those two calls, I quickly picked up the two Traditionals in the park here. This find unlocks the Dragon Souvenir which I’m very happy about. I was born in the year of the dragon and loved that there was a Hidden Creature Souvenir for it to unlock. Cheers for the hide, a good geotrail took me right to the top of GZ. Спасибо для кеша! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
Find 3 of 5 while on a trip across the Shire.
Stop three, another of the Shire’s Treasures series and another quiet bush reserve. I followed the fence line in, until the needle started pointing into the bush. After spotting the geotrail the cache was easily found, barely concealed by the camo. Nice sized cache. Signed the log and returned as found with a little more of the natural camo. The cache could do with some love, it looks like water has been getting in and some mould is growing but the log itself is pretty dry and usable.
Thanks for another treasure Ozshockwave and another nice little bushwalk this morning.

I hadn’t had luck with others in this series so was hoping this one would prove different. The bush here was easy to manage and although my device had me looking 6m away, using the eyes had the CIH. Thanks for bringing me to another part of the Shire Ozshockwave.

After ticking off Tree of Life nearby, left the car in place and made the correct detour further down the path to another quick grab. Container showing signs of rust but holding up for now.
We approached this from the other nearby cache,it was nice walk through the trails today,we soon found GZ then the hide

Quick find. Geocache was pretty much out in the open, so put it back with a bit more camo covering it up. Picturesque area. TFTC and for bringing us here. Took TB.
TFTC! Gps super accurate. Spotted our first fellow GCer, who unfortunately was a DNF. Just a bit of bush tracking required. No trackable found inside though
Stopped by on a night drive and went for a walk on the track. Coordinates spot on and made a quick find. Got a bit lost on different way out and bush bashed in the dark and in my thongs. Oh well. Thanks
