Catching up on some late logs when attending the Geobash Mega in Canberra. Took the opportunity to explore the many sights in and around Canberra and grabbed this one along the way.Out and about grabbing a few in the centre of Canberra then headed out once it got busy. Having worked this one previously, it was a matter of making the find today. Found after a short search once at GZ.Thanks tate_alec for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
This icon has been sat on my map for quite a while now, bugging me. I've looked into it a couple of times but couldn't really make a start to it or make any progress, it was just there. But after solving a puzzle similar to this one, I had a sneaking suspicion of what was required, and sure enough the WP1 coordinates fell out just like that. Nice!Off to WP1, and of course I have been past this plaque many times yet never noticed it, so a nice surprise there. Quickly had the numbers obtained and GZ acquired, followed a convenient path all the way to GZ. Overshot a bit on the hill but soon doubled back and bush-bashed all the way to the cache. Soon found the cache half buried and full of ants, but luckily the inside was in great condition. Logbook signed and off I go. TFTC tate_alec
Nice to finally pick this up today. Got to WP 1 yesterday not realizing there was another step. But soon got it sorted and decided to leave for today. Nice to get this older one. All good with cache.
Thanks for getting me out and about tate_alec

Looking at a handful of caching in Canberra. I've added this one to the list. Thanks for the cache!
Found It!
I've seen this kind of puzzle before so I had part 1 solved quite quickly a few days ago. Today I visited WP1 and collected the numbers from the plaque. Then headed off to the final location where I soon found the cache!

Nice one. I had a bit of fun working out WP1, and got it eventually. At WP1, I decided there were four possible answers. My second answer worked, and I took the trouble to verify that the other two didn't work, so it's all good. this morning I took a nice stroll to GZ, where I found the cache in good condition. Thanks, tate_alec
Second find on today’s jog.
This was a great puzzle that we had looked at a few times with much bewilderment. Today, we shifted our perspective and all was revealed. With the WP1 coordinates set aside for another day, some time passed until today, when we set off on foot (via another hide) to WP1. Once there, the required object and information was found and the final location calculated (with some double checking to make sure we were not off track).
It was a nice hide at the final location on a quiet morning. Virtually no traffic noise. TFTC tate_alec! A fav point for the work to get to WP1

A tricky solve for me, and even then only with the assistance of a previous finder.
In the area today, I swung past GZ and made a quick find. Cache is still in very good condition - thanks!

I gathered the information for this a while ago. I alway like discovering bits of Canberra history.
Today I came after work to get my daily caching fix. Ran into Cankid in the carpark.

This cache has been sitting far too close to my work for comfort for a long time. Finally I decided to turn my mind to it. I reached out for some assistance which gave me what I needed and from there I was able to visit WP1 and in the in the end GZ. Boy was I blown away when I cracked how to "spot" the coordinates. (Trust the clue but squint!) All in all a very satisfying find for what is now a quite an old cache. Thanks for keeping it alive!
I figured out the first puzzle a year ago and then never finished the cache until today!
Would not recommend finding this one in the dark, there isn't an obvious clear way through the bushes.

Today's walk was planned for Aranda bush as I was hoping to grab this cache. Not only did I have help to solve this mystery but I also had a PAF to confirm my coordinates. A beautiful walk on a glorious winter's day took me along this track up to Gungahlin Drive and back again for today's exercise.
A quick find and sign at the solved coordinates. Thanks for this cache tate_alec.

I solved the fun posted puzzle quite some time ago and decided to stop and finish it off today. When I first arrived at WP1 I was a bit confused until I read through the description again and realised that I wasn’t done yet. With info in hand I made my way to the calculated coordinates and poked around for a bit. It’s safe to say that I would be unlikely to explore around that area if it weren’t for geocaching. Soon enough the cache was in hand. TFTH
This one has been a long time in the... Finding for me. First attempt one of the way points had been muggled. Second attempt I has the coordinates right but just for some reason didn't find. Nearly 6 months later. I have finally located and signed the log and ticked it off the list. Thanks for the hide.
I worked out the first part to this puzzle last night and headed out in the rain this morning to attempt the rest.
Got to WP1 and acquired the required info.
Returned to the vehicle to do the sums. First time around couldn't get the checksums to work.
Double checked and triple checked before trying something else and coming up with a suitable set of coordinates.
Back out into the rain and off to the GZ.
Cache was found soon thereafter and was nicely hidden and dry.
Logbook signed and cache returned for the next lucky cacher.
Thanks tate_alec for placing and maintaining.
Cheers

Found with Batz7 after running a few errands in Belconnen. A quick find. Caching in long grass really sucks for my hayfever. TFTC
Found on a trip around town while at Canberra for a few days.
A few good hides and not many muggles around here.
A good safe hide at GZ here too.
Cache condition is good/OK here.

WP2 had gone missing and I will rejig the description to skip WP2 and take you to the GZ
The Description has been rejigged due to WP2 location no longer being viable.
So this is now only WP1 and the GZ.
Enjoy

Spent about 2 hours looking for wp2 all up now. Will keep looking in future.
Solved this one awhile back and this morning it was time to make the find. A nice little walk and a quick find at GZ. Thanks for the cache.
I did most of the work for this more than 6 months ago, but had trouble reading the information at WP2. Took photos and solved at home, but didn't get around to collecting (not possible the last 3 months anyway!). With GZ already calculated, I called in today on the way past to sign the log. Cache found quickly and all OK.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Nice ‘not so quick’ find. Camera came in handy with smoothing out some creases. Had to be extra careful of cache guardians though.

This cache reminds me of what caches used to be like when I first started geocaching 10 years ago, I loved this one.
Back then however my child brain had no chance of solving puzzles. Once I had eventually solved this one (using both ways) I went to WP1.
No issues there, onto WP2, where I quickly found the laminated puzzle. After carefully looking at the one part I was onto GZ.
Once there had the cache in hand, thanks for the adventure!

I managed to solve the first part but nearly got clipped by a golf ball walking to WP1. Someone was using the oval as their personal driving range. A quick find. TFTC.
My third day in the ACT and my first full one teaming up with a few other cachers from Tasmania, South Australia and NSW. We toured around picking up solved mysteries, a handful of multis and one well favoured letterbox.
Thanks to all the COs which have put out caches for me and the rest of the community to enjoy.

I am currently camped at the showgrounds in Queanbeyan for the Mega event after travelling for the past 5 weeks or so on a rather circuitous route from Adelaide via Tasmsnia snd Victoria. Its beautiful autumn weather - great for caching and having a look about.
I joined up with a small group of other cachers from Tasmania, Victoria and NSW to find this cache.
Thanks tate_alec for the puzzle and the cache.

This one has been a drawn out smiley! This is one of the first puzzles I'd solved, then it took a while to do the waypoints to find GZ & then tonight I made the final collect on the way home from catching up with a friend at The George Harcourt. The nearby dogs didn't like me poking around in the scrub, which took longer than it should've due to the app needed to be turned off then on again to get a good reading. Cool puzzle & cache - I enjoyed this one!
I solved the first puzzle several months ago but put off coming here because I got the impression it would take a bit of time. I had seen similar puzzles before so as soon as I saw it I had an inkling on how to solve it. If you hadn't seen one before you could very easily go too far down the wrong track. It always helps to step back and try a different angle.
When I eventually got out here (last week), it was raining. But that had the advantage of no muggle foot traffic about. I had a bit of time up my sleeve so I collected a nearby cache (for my daily) and then proceeded to follow the waypoints for this one.
WP1 was quickly located and the coords for WP2 soon followed. Off I trotted, in the rain. I found the clue cache at WP2 and pulled out the next puzzle. It was hard to hold it flat. It needed two hands which then posed the problem of how to record the next coords.
I thought I had managed it but when I entered the coords for gz, it ended up in a house. Hmm, that wasn't right but the checksums were correct. I decided to leave it and sort it out later. I needed to get out of the rain now.
Fast forward to tonight and it was time for my daily cache (#156). I felt it was time to return to this unloved cache and finish it off. Soon after arriving home last time, I had checked my coords and discovered that although I had written them down correctly, I had entered them incorrectly for the solved coords. I had switched two of the digits. Now I had a much better looking gz.
So out I came tonight with my trusty torch. All was dark and quiet (except for the noisy road nearby). I parked in the nearest carpark and walked over. When I got near to gz, I couldn't see any paths through the bush so I just had to bush bash it. Thankfully no spiders or webs and the cache was quickly found.
Although it was dark, I did notice a section of the bush here appears to have been gardenised, presumably a resident extending their dominion out into the bushland. It went from trees and tall grass to short grass and different types of trees back to bush and long grass again. It was just an odd thing.

I had figured out the first part a while ago, and later had managed to get to WP1 for details of WP2, but had a daughter with me and a tight schedule. Today, I knew I couldn't do a cache after work, as I had a Belgian Embassy cocktail (well, beer and waffles) party. So around lunch, I zoomed out to a parking spot nearby and proceeded to WP2. This got me info for GZ, but that required a slightly longer walk that I had planned. Oh well. At GZ, it was a quick find and sign, then back to the car quickly and back to the office, slightly later than planned, but in time for a 'very, very, very' important weekly telecon hook-up!! TFTC tate_alec. A fave for your effort.
Worked out what to do, just not how to do it. Got a nudge, then a push, ahhhh. TNLNSL TFTC
We were very excited to have solved this one. I had looked at it and put it away, then looked at and put it away, then looked at it and all of a sudden it hit me and I could see what we had to do. So off we went to the first stop and collected what we needed to to get us to the next stop which was easy enough, except by torchlight it was a little tricky to figure out, so with an educated guess we were of to GZ where after dodging a big spider in his web we found the cache! I really enjoyed this one!! Tftc!!!
Out at night with dty73 & AddG to take advantage of the cool night air. This was a multi Mystery we had decided to have a go at. Happily we did this when traffic was fairly quiet so we could pull safely off the road. Had a bit of a problem reading the cards but finally signed the log. Kutgw
This puzzle has been a long time coming, I could never work out how to decode the image and haven't seen this type of puzzle before which didn't help much. I also probably didn't take the hint as well as I should have :') I eventually gave up and put it aside for what felt like forever until I recently looked at it again. I was then planning a trip to the Alexandra Mega Event and Cankid came across a puzzle that he described as being similar to this one! That was when he told me what you had to do to solve this puzzle and also gave me a hint for when I was in the field too.
Today I came to WP1 and got the coords off the plaque. I wasn't expecting such a long walk though! I then headed to WP2 and despite the container being in very poor condition and not even having a lid the puzzle itself was in pretty perfect condition. Took a minute to work out the GZ coords and then another decent walk to the GZ. At GZ it was another quick find and the cache was in good condition.
Overall a great puzzle and really well set out. Has lots of different aspects to it, and I also like how their is a field puzzle as well.

A lovely Sunday afternoon for some caching. First off some solved puzzles out Belconnen way. Thanks for sorting out the issues with the previous WP1. The new puzzle was quickly solved and the new WP1 easily found and the information gathered. WP2 was soon ticked off, and then a quick find at GZ. A pleasant stroll. TFTC.

Sorry to those that have had a little bit of trouble at WP1.
Due to the issues of random people camping basically on top of WP1 and now the disappearance of the container, I have decided to completely remove WP1 from the equation.
So, I've made a couple of changes to this listing.
The puzzle has been changed to give you the coords for the Plaque (which used to be WP2) and WPs have been renamed accordingly.
Everything else should flow on from there.
Happy hunting folks.

Off to Canberra from Bendigo to celebrate Grandma's 80th birthday. Not a lot of time for caching but we were keen to pick up some long solved puzzles. This gave us a few headaches so it was nice to finally hone in on the GZ.
There are lots of great caches in the area so thank you tate_alec

Puzzle easily solved. I had visited WP1 early in the summer but there was an occupied tent with metres of the WP, so I had to abandon the quest. This afternoon I had some 'free' time so focused on ticking off a few Belconnen caches. WP1 was all clear, but I went round and round in circles for quite a while before eventually spotting the tell tale signs of a hide, but alas the string had rotted and no container could be found.
Out and about with AngelG27 for a long overdue geomission around the area before I had to pop into the lab
I'd solved this one ages ago - the puzzle is very clever! I printed it out and managed to see a set of unambiguous coordinates for WP1 [^] and the same when I did a bit of digital manipulation
So after parking the car nearby, off we both wandered to WP1 where we also saw the tent. We were a bit unsure about poking around as I think there was someone in residence. So we shot off some messages to the CO and a past finder. Luckily with that we were able to get to WP2 then from there continue on with our adventure to eventually come up with the easy find!
Thanks for the puzzle and hide, tate alec Giving this one a fave

SpecimenX and I were long overdue for a geocaching mission so, despite her needing to work today, we decided to pop out and grab a few caches that have been long overdue for finding!
Fifth and last cache of the morning but the one that we had originally set out to do. We both had sorted out the puzzle previously, Specimen X in two different ways, and had the coordinates for WP1 ready to go! Sadly, we also noted the camp directly at WP1 which curtailed searching efforts. We sent messages off to the CO and a previous finder and went and found a few other caches. Both the CO and previous finder came back to us shortly with the coordinates located at WP1 so we could continue on our way. We had a bit of trouble reconciling the checksums for WP3 at WP2, but with the previous finder coordinates (and some quality maths additions) we finally got some reconciled numbers. At WP3, it was a bit tricky to make out the coords, but with some squinting and double checking, we had some numbers we were satisfied with. Then a quick jaunt to GZ and had CIH pretty soon afterwards!
A fun puzzle, and a good way to spend a warm Saturday morning! Thanks tate_alec!

Wowza this has taken a while! Solved the first puzzle at home but obviously not the correct way as it was not something I could do in the field. Visited WP1 ages ago and I remember it took a very long time to locate the blighter. Finally, finally I had the next stage in hand. But I never did figure out the field method so back home it was. Managed to jetski WP2 but still needed to return for WP3. Another day some months later, we finally succeeded in doing so. Again, it was back home for the decoding and since then it has sat and waited. Today this wasn't actually on our list but a change of plan had it popping up on the map. A short stroll to GZ and there it was, just waiting to be signed! I can finally add a smiley here . Thanks for the adventure tate_alec [^]
Hmmm, a bit hard to search for WP1 when there is someone camping less than 5m away!
I enjoyed walk . Am catching up on caches solved and found. I enjoyed doing this puzzle. Signed the log.

The fifth find of the day on score check day. I had collected my results in the hour before heading to GZ (all good, I did very well this semester !). Over the last couple of days, I had collected the waypoints as I was visiting the area frequently over the past few days. Some of them were harder than others but after a bit of effort, I had GZ coordinates for today. It was a bit of a walk from school but I eventually arrived at GZ. Once there, I thought the cache had been toasted but after a little searching I soon had the cache in hand. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC tate_alec!
I cannot recommend this cache highly enough! What an inventive puzzle, and a wonderful area to walk through (apart from a little bit of mud) - great fun! I completed this in an afternoon, after following the instructions carefully to solve it earlier in the day. I dropped in a trackable, so there's even more incentive to solve and find this mystery TFTC!
Sunday 15 March 2015 - a beautiful cool sunny Spring Sunday morning perfect for a challenge and exercise with the temperature in the high teens. Worth a favourite point.
Relatively fun and easy after overcoming the issues around WP1 GZ. All 4 WPs were visited today and the following 3 WPs solved in about 1 hour with a 4.5 km round trip on my push bike. BTW: WP1 cache is off the ground above the waist. This is important to know as this is brown snake territory. I live a few hundreds meters from GZ and have seen them over the past 35 years. With the long grass and many logs you need to be careful.
NB: The attachment at WP1 is in poor condition and has been fixed a few times before. Bring a torch in case it breaks again and you need to retrieve the cache.
WP1 - the most challenging by far but luckily I live nearby. Like the previous finder I ask ed a work muggle for advice last Thursday. Grrrrrrr - took them no time to figure it out AND why hadn't I read the hint? Must remember to read the hint

OK ... I think I started this well over a year ago - lol
Looked at it on my iPad screen and decided that maybe a hard copy actually might mean paper, even though my screen is hard - lol (although now that I know what I am looking for/at, I can actually see the answer on my iPad screen - LOL)
I printed this out at work, and scratched my head over it for a few minutes, then showed it to a muggle I work with and she said " oh, have you tried ...?" so I tried what she said, and woo hoo! - there was my answer
A week or 3 later , after work, I drove down an appropriate side street (not far from work actually) and found the first waypoint ... but it was starting to get a bit dark, and the only torch I had with me was on my phone, and I didn't have enough hands to shine that in a way that avoided the light glaring off the plastic, while holding the thingy in a way that straightened out the folds/wrinkles enough to read what I needed to ... so I decided to come back later ...
for some odd reason, which even I can't totally figure out, "later" ended up being much later than I originally intended ... and I finally got around to coming and looking as a spur of the moment decision when I was going to head in to Civic, then realised that with the traffic, the shop I was going to would be shut by the time I got there, but by then I was heading the wrong way down Belconnen way - but right past this cache
So I headed to the same place as last time (which I still had the coordinates for saved in my phone - lol) and then looked in what I was sure was where I had found it before ... but where is it? ... yes - it was still there ... I just couldn't see what was under my nose - lol (hmmmm - hope I am not having one of those days - this could take a while if I can't even find one I have already found before!) ... managed to straighten out the clue enough to read the required answer from it ... and headed off to the next spot ... found the dates, did the maths (after a bit of head scratching as to whether I was subtracting things from this lot of coordinates ot that one - turns out the lot I first tried was right
Next stage was actually quite close to where I work (but I am glad I didn't do one thing I had thought about, and try to do this cache in a lunch break - because my lunch break would NOT have been long enough - lol) ... interesting melted container - kind of cool that it is so damaged yet still there and contents ok - read the required answer from there ... and headed back up a path I have both walked and cycled up a few times over the last few years, arrived at GZ and made a nice quick find of the cache
Hmmm - the container has a rather nice coating of ... natural camouflage (dirt kind of makes it look more authentic - lol
Took the geocoin, left a couple of toys (from Golden Arches and a burger place and a plastic flower.
TFTC - it took longer than I intended to get around to finishing this, but finding this was a rather fun and interesting adventure ... even more so when I decided to try and take a short cut back to the car and ended up in the middle of a rather slimy looking swamp, that was also full of blackberries - which was actually a good thing because there were quite a few ripe ones - so I ended up spending ages picking some and eating them, and also picking enough to take home for later ... and then, to make things even more entertaining - mum rang to say hi while I was still in the middle of the swamp picking blackberries - so there I was - talking on the phone to mum, and saying things like "ouch" and "yuck" at random places in the conversation while I was still picking blackberries with one hand and sloshing around in the swamp getting wet slimy feet, not to mention quite a few mozzie bites, as it was starting to get dark ... I am sure even my mum thought I was nuts - lol

Catching up on old caches I haven't logged yet. Got this one with KittyKatch on a walk with the GeoPuppies.

Found with GrimRaider on a lovely afternoon walk with the geohounds. We worked out the first part of this cache ages ago, and have been out here twice to try and complete it. I am so happy that we finally made it to GZ and made the find. Dropped a nice Geocoin. Gets a FP from me. TFTC!
(326) Needed help getting started on this one. Despite having solved a puzzle like this before, I just didn't see the trick. After trying a bunch of totally wrong-track ideas and getting nowhere, I contacted the CO, who provided the hint that I needed to get going. Found WP1 about a month ago but ran out of time to go on from there. Finally today I was in the area and had a bit of time, so I finished the cache. Not without a very stupid miscalculation in the field that had me walk an extra 1.5 km unnecessarily. (Note to self - make use of the checksums!!!)
The area around GZ has recently undergone a bit of a burn-ff, I think, but the cache was still there and in good shape. As MH mentioned, the container at WP3 needs replacing, but the contents are in good condition.
Tks tate_alec!

Headed out on a hot afternoon and thought I was looking for plaque to start with! Realised my error and was soon underway with the next clue. I had to take it back to the car as the reading glasses were required and I hadn't brought them with me on foot! WP1 is at a really pretty and isolated spot.
Followed the lead and found the WP's without any hassle from there on. The container at WP3 is melted but the details inside are still OK.
Thanks for a great cache Tate Alec. I've been wanting to do this for ages! Recommended for doing by bike!
Cheers

#1238 - 21:00; Finally have this one off the 'to do' list and was again reminded to read the description properly before setting off. I had started out to do this one the night before and it was only after reaching WP1 that I realised it was not only a puzzle, but a multi as well. Had to abandon the search to pick up the geoteen from work, but returned tonight to complete the mission. Made my way quickly to WP2, but again, not paying attention to the detail, was looking for info in all the wrong places. Went back to the description and after that it was smooth sailing all the way to WP3 and then on to GZ which was quickly located and log signed. TFTC tate_alec
It took me nearly four years to get from start to end on this - a year to work out the puzzle, another 6 months to wait for a work trip to Canberra to hunt down WP1, then difficulty interpreting a photo taken in the dark of the puzzle piece, then waiting for another trip, and now finally a day with visits to WP2, WP3 and GZ.
A clever and sneaky puzzle, and an interesting tour of the area - thanks!

Headed down to Canberra with Hoojar today, we grabbed a plethora of caches of which this was one of them. The cold weather of Canberra took us a little by surprise so we made sure we were constantly on the move.
A tricky little puzzle that we had solved some time ago, today we went around collecting the further info before making a rewarding find.
Thanks

Found on a Canberra Caching Spree with The Rats. The weather was cold and grey, the weatherman lied when he predicted 17 degrees and sunny. The thermometer only push over 10 degrees for about five minutes!
Having the solution for this one, we stopped to make the find whilst in the area.

Had this one on our puzzle list for a while, today we decided to head out and clean a few up. The ants had taken over this one. TFTC
1497. Well, a long time no find for this one, so I thought I would pay it a visit.
I had WP 1 coords sussed and went to check it out. I sighted the container with no problems, but thats when the fun started. After a little ingenuity, dexterity and onsite engineering, I finally had what I needed in my hands. The rest was plain sailing and the log was signed.
May I suggest a little maintenance for WP1 or an upgrade of the difficulty rating.
After reading the previous logs, I also agree that this one should be kept alive as it was very enjoyable.
Thanks tate alec for the cache. Loved it, especially the WP1 challenge.

I was determined to solve this one as my first puzzle.
Had a ball with this one and it was quite fun finding all the caches.

Woohoo, first multi/puzzle cache! TFTC had great fun with this one.

And for the record - 41 finds in 3 years is nothing to sneeze at. There is nothing wrong with having a hard puzzle. Look at some of the trickier puzzles out there and you will see lower numbers. It is this type of challenge that many of us find very rewarding. It was an enjoyable cache and is worth keeping....but that is just my opinion.
A day for finalisations: Decided to wrap up many loose ends today. Having started this last summer when the spider population in Canberra was at it's peak, I had bravely got as far as WP1 and then decided to pursue other things. The coordinates for WP2 remained neatly filed away waiting for the right opportunity. So with another Puzzle event looming I figured I needed to finish some of my solved but unfound puzzles. A nice wander with the geo-hound with significantly less spider activity than would have been encountered had I finished this last season as planned.

This Team Sumorai most rewarding Cache yet. It has taken over a month to final get to the end point. There is a tale of swamps, transcription errors and lost keys. Great puzzle. Thanks for an awesome adventure.
I suppose your right about the changing face of caching over the last few years and I guess it’s not about the numbers, it’s about the journey. I’m still tempted to move the final location a bit, but I need to think it through before I do.
I’ve got another Puzzle cache waiting for me to place. I’ve got to just find the right place.
Oh, and I've added another clue to put everyone on the right track
Cheers

Completed in 45 minutes from work after solving LAST time I had my puzzles and coffee event. I thought it only fitting that I complete this cache today as the latest Puzzles and Coffee event is on tonight.
I just saw the note about you archiving it and I would urge you to reconsider. Perhaps you just need to put in a hint for the puzzle. I notice that caching is certainly changing and even in the 2 years that I have been active, puzzles are getting less traction. But that doesn't make it a bad cache. It is a great cache and I really enojyed it and will be bestowing a favourite point. I feel honour to be in an exclusive club to have solved and found it.
Anyway, to my journey today. I had the coordinates for WP1 and cycled up from work at Belconnen. I chose the wrong path to GZ and ended up going through a swamp in my smart casual attire. I chose firmer ground to exit the area and then cycled up and down Belconnen way. At total of 8.3km, so I certainly got my daily exercise.
Thanks for the great experience!

Well I guess that I may have made this cache a little too hard for some (only 41 finds in almost 3 years), and I was never entirely happy with the final location so I’ll be archiving it in a month for retirement.
Imaginearium Wargames may be reincarnated in the not too distant future, but as only a Mystery Cache. I’ll just have to see if I have the time and the inclination to make it work.
Thanks to all those who took the time to visit this cache.

Another mystery I have looked at before and could never work out. At work the other day I printed it out again, re-read the clue and had a thought. Seconds later WP1 co-ords were in hand- very clever!
Today I was glad I was riding a pushbike which made things much easier. The WPs did not pose any further problems as I rode around and a quick find once at GZ.
Quite enjoyed this cache and glad I wasn't on foot. Thanks!

This was a very interesting a different concept, great work! We were a little unsure at ground zero but after a couple os short minutes we had the cache in hand. SL TNLN TFTC
Bit of confusion at WP1 as sil and I had different coordinates. Luckily I had my iPad and checked the recent logs to confirm that my set were wrong and sil had the updated ones. Smooth sailing from there, especially since we had the car. Took the Red Dwarf keyring, left an Emily the Strange poster.
We found the newly placed wp1, nice spot! The geokid and I went out on the bike, and I'm glad we did... bit tired now. This was great fun, and because I am pretty new to this, cool to experience a multi waypoint find. mini-phasic chose to leave a police car and grab the puzzle. TFTC!
Ok folks, it’s back online.
I was never entirely happy with the placement of WP1 so I’ve moved it about 41m, placing it where I originally thought it should go and it’s a lot less conspicuous than its original home.
I’ve also checked on the rest of the WPs and the cache, they’re still in position waiting to be found.
Sorry to do this to those of you still trying to work out the puzzle, but I have also changed it to reflect the new location.
Happy hunting.

EDIT: Wrong date. Should be 26/8. Found WP1 - but it was empty! Kind of difficult to find WP2 without a clue... needs maintenance?
Thanks for the quick maintenance reply, tate_alec! Looking forward to completing this one. Loved the first clue.

I couldn't believe this was a 2 star difficulty, it certainly took me a while to sort it out (although additional clues did help). While out and about today MV and I enjoyed the waypoints and the walk they took us on, although at GZ I feared the cache had disappeared only to find it well hidden away.
Many thanks,

Reperio at 0945. This is certainly one puzzle that has had my attention for quite a while now. Having tried numerous techniques to solve the puzzle, I couldn't believe my eyes when the answer revealed itself. Today Rubik and I were looking forward to completing this one, and after visiting the various WP's, we arrived at GZ to think that the cache may have gone, but as it was, we simply didn't look hard enough on the first pas through.
This is probably one of the better puzzles I've done in recent times. I absolutely loved the technique used for the puzzle, and the WP's to get to GZ were great.
Gratias maximius tate alec.

I picked up the waypoints over a couple of days. Tonight I realised I hadn't got a GC today so out I went between TV shows and picked up WP3 and GZ. TFTC!
After being live for about 19 months and only having 32 finds , I thought that I should add another little clue to help the rest of you on your way.
I hope that it doesn’t make it too easy.
I hope that it doesn’t make it too easy.
Love your work. This type of puzzle is one of my favourites. This time I got to do it without grass seeds.
This was my second go at this. The first time I just stared at it in my lunch hour with no success. Thanks to a little clue from CS_Family patriarch I was on my way on my lunch hour (make that 1.5 hours). A lot of walking involved but I did it.I even manged to not get my white shirt too dirty at GZ. Enjoyed the plaque clue. I had taken note of this plaque on other travels.
Loved the puzzle once I got it right, I've had this laying around for ages without doing anything about it, even though I overheard a hint at an event ages ago.
Extracted digit today and did the zigzags required for this cache, it was fun but getting a bit hot by the time I finished.
TFTC it turned out to be easier than expected.

Puzzle with help and doing the multi - all good.... Took Frodo Travel Bug. SL. Thanks tate_alec for organising the cache and hunt.
Having switched to paperless caching I would never have solved this without the assistance from Sara. Working out the how's, I set off this evening to grab the cache with geohounds in tow. A struggle getting to WP1 with the wet soggy ground sucking at my sneakers, we then headed to a familiar area. Dogs were keen for a run, as this is where they had been this morning for a play in the early hours but training was in progress so they stayed on lead. GZ found, log signed, pacer taken as Pete will only use a pacer and a TB left in its place. Decided on the direct route back to the car, a big mistake especially given I knew how wet the ground was. Survived by jumping from grass hock to grass hock only to come unstuck at the end and ending up face first in the water when the loop of my sneakers got caught on a very unmoveable stick. TFTC.
Have WP 1 co-ordinates and will attempt to find cache this afternoon. 2 ways to solve the puzzle, hmmm? I am hoping the only way we know to solve the puzzle is the one that will help us in the field. Fingers crossed!
Well I have an array of geocaching issues that hinder and they come in clusters. 3rd cluster ago was the muggled cache (5 locations in 1 week), 2nd last was failing to recognise dying batteries and needing to return to several GZ's. Latest cluster was the 'entering 1 digit wrong' trick that would land me 100's of metres away from next point. Today I forgot to change a number which had me 1.5 km away from GZ. Kids were happy though cause there just happened to be a playground at wrong GZ. Anyway once I remembered my mistake made the find easily.
