Today our main plan was to head to Narawntapu NP to complete the 60GSW here in our quest to complete all the mainland Tassie ones other than Bishop and Clerk that we couldnt attempt due to insufficient time on Maria Island on the winter ferry timetable . 2 walks to go until we complete our quest. We had a lovely walk here although sadly the weather was quite overcast but no rain and a lovely walking temperature. We stopped here for lunch and after we had refueled found the nice hide here. TFTC
I am camped at Bakers Point with my CotE, so I took the cache-mobile to the car park at the Visitor Centre in the late afternoon. I nabbed the cache at the bird hide before setting off for this one. These old legs managed the walk and the clinb OK and the find was made in time for me to walk back as the sun set. It rought back memories as this was the last walk I did with my late father. Thanks for bringing me back here.
I arrived a GZ and started to look for the Cache when a group of old people showed up and I knew that this was going to be a long delay, 40minutes later they moved on and I was able to continue the search. It was not long and I had the cache in hand and the log was signed. I return to the carpark via the beach as there were blue skies and most importantly no wind. All in all a wonderful day for a walk.Cache and contents were in excellent condition.
A lovely stay camping in Narawantapu, we decided the bird hut & archers knob would be a lovely walk for the day. Was perfect and the views are stunning bonus being theres a geocache woohooo! Tftc.
What an epic location. This is a must do. I grew up in Port Sorell and never came here. Totally worth the wait. Perfect weather today as well.Cache is easy to find once you get to the spot, careful of the spikes. TFTC
We sat and rested and tried to see our house in the distance. Then looked to see how far the cache was from us up here. Wow, that closeWe fought our way through the flies and soon had the cache in handTFTC
Found while taking in the view. We greatly enjoyed this walk and travelled back along the beach that we had all to ourselves. Thanks for the cache.
The final destination of our short day hike. We came on a very quiet day and got to relax without interruption for quite some time. The cache was a pretty simple find once we got to the rest area. This was a bit of a practice hike for me and a friend, hopefully next time we come we will do point vision! TFTC
Great find! Warning this is quite a popular spot so be careful when finding the cache with muggles around.
Definitely needed a rest when I got to this cache - not used to walking in the cold as a Queenslander, but worth it for the views! Thanks for the cache
This one has been on the 'to do' list for far too long! So good to eventually make the walk up here after an enjoyable night camping nearby. Stunning views from GZ! TFTC & a FP given.

Great views, and great place for a cache! Found with DancingBare. TFTC from Tennessee, USA
Nothing better to do on a teacher training day but hike up Archers Knob for the first time. Worth the short uphill effort. Tftc (couldn't sign paper as it was wet so took photo
Thanks to whoever made this, great spot for a geocache such a beautiful view.
Thank you CarrollEyre for placing the cache there, had a little trouble opening the container but all good.
We were in the right spot, however not willing to go into the bush area off track for cache. Maybe on the seat would have been better?
I think I’ve found my forever home in Tasmania. Absolutely love the bush and the diversity. Truly stunning places like this to explore and everyone here is so friendly. Must be something about it being a smaller state. I look forward to more travels up north and exploring more of this gorgeous state. A great lookout here on a beautiful sunny day in good company. FP from me
Hello, We found your cache on day #8 of our Lap year trip.
Cateract Gorge was on the top of our list to visit while in the area, thanks for the EC
Selling up our hobby farm in South Gippsland and putting everything in storage we are now living on the road full time in our caravan and ‘doing a lap’.
Sorry for the generic log, time, data and reception are all factors in the decision to use a copy and paste log, we will always endeavour to leave a photo or two with each log and always leave a favourite point and unique comment(S) where applicable for the truly outstanding caches.
Earth, Virtual, letterbox handmade and Gadget caches are always at the top of the list for us to find.
Thank you for being one of the CO’s who supplied us with a cache to find today.
Cache in good condition.
Answers from our Geo kids sent to the CO

What a beautiful day to do geocaching! Thanks for the cache, thanks for the view
We walked up the hill and had an amazing view over the Narawntapu National Park. Thank's for the Cache at this beautiful point!
Usually I do not do caches in National Parks when you have to leave the track, but this one I was so close to the track I had to take it - even though I already passed three snakes on the way up here. Tftc
Random geocaching on our 4 month road trip with Tessplus3, Hippo380, The Great Patrinie (TGP) & Bellarina TFTC
37th official day of our Australia Lap. With UMeHedgiE, Hippo380, the Great Patrini and Bellarina.
This was a nice bonus cache for climbing this hill in the middle of a fairly sunny and hot day, great views, and a great hint otherwise I would have been looking for ages. TFTC.
We were going to get this on the way back from another cache, our primary target, but decided now would be a good time. Great view at the top. Some muggles moved on just as we approached GZ enabling me to get it without an audience.
Logging duties done another group arrives. Then their tour leader says "lunch time". And one of the group sat right in front of the hiding place. Nothing for it but to explain what we were doing and ask the bloke if I could get in behind him for a second. A few of them had heard of geocaching and one of them said they knew of one across the road from where they live. The tour guide also asked if we were going after others nearby. So they turn out to be half-muggles.

It was only when we had sat down to enjoy the view while eating our lunch that we remembered that there was a cache to find up there. No trouble in locating the container.
Beautiful views. I have put the cache at the front of the banksia so visitors don't have push their way through the bush and spread phytophera through a national park. Many thanks.
Last time we were here we could see snow on the mountains but no snow today. Great view of an unspoilt beach. Thanks for placing this here. Took nothing and left nothing.
The Narawntapu NP was our favorite place on Tasmania. We loved to see all the kangurus, wallabies and pademelons. We stayed 3 nights with our campervan at the NP campingground. Today we found this cache on our hike.

TFTC. Sl. Only found after meeting a young German couple which reminded us of some caches in the area.
Great view. We hiked up here yesterday not realising there was a cache here so we had to hike back up again today to get it. So worth the hike up again.
Awesome views over the beach and the pond. I'd come for a walk with Altaire and the top of Archers Knob was our destination before a swim at the beach.
We were doing the walk to Copper Cover together with some muggle friends with Archers as a little side jaunt. There really are some terrific walking tracks in Narawntapu many of which we've wandered along on past visits. We meandered along the pleasant Springlawn/Archers Knob track to the turn off and then up the small ascent to the top of Archers where we had wonderful views back along the coast to Port Sorell and beyond. It was very windy indeed. One our muggle friends made the find and we completed the caching duties. Excellent container and contents are nice and dry. Great cache location.
Almost did not go up as it was getting late. Glad I did well worth it. Tftc 12 December 2017 7:10 PM
Quick find. Enjoyed the seat very much. Beautiful view looking back towards info center. TFTC
Quite windy on the knob today, saw one snake on the track. The view alone is worth the walk. TFTC
GPS led us a merry chase but a little wider search soon had the cache in hand. Found on just one more trip around beautifulTasmania before we head to the big island to live. Amazing views. TFTC
Spectacular views to be had following a heart pumping trek up the hill on a rather warm summer day. Exceptional place, can't get enough of this stuff.. thanks..!!
Up here doing a GE hike with some cubs from Penguin. Nice day for it too. Bit of smoke still lingering around. But a nice quick easy find.
Found after a nice walk through the heathlike scrub. Thanks for the hide. Now, a to the return trip....
Did you know it is 8km return from the rangers hut!

Spying this one on the map, it looked like it would prove to be an apt first taste of a Tassie walk for this trip. Almost fell over with the $60 national park fee, but as we found for the rest of the trip, $60 is pretty good value for the quality and effort put into these parks. Also, our first real taste of Tassie weather in September; very windy and cold! The whole walk we thoroughly enjoyed, from the sand dunes, the forrest, the great views and the gorgeous small wallabies! TFTC!!!!
A nice spot for a scroggin stop, a photograph and a cache hunt. Came up trumps and off to the next cache. TFTC!
We took a little longer than the sign said to walk this track, but there were so many interesting things to stop and look at along the way, and how could we rush back without pausing to admire those amazing views?! TFTC It was a very pleasant day for a walk, & we're very glad we came!
Easy find after a pleasant walk. The grade of the track for the hill climb was surprisingly good and I didn't get puffed! What a solid, sturdy and water-proof container! It was soooo nice to find a 'normal' type and size cache for a change. The views were fantastic even moreso as Mt Roland had snow on it which explained why the wind was so cold! TFTC
Hi CarrollEyre and The Tag
This cache is very impressive. The walk is not too difficult, even the 100m climb, as the zig-zags are not too steep. The walk through the trees is even and relatively flat. A walk all cachers could do easily.
At GZ, the cache was found quickly but was soon forgotten as the views were too impressive to ignore.
Unfortunately, my camera ran out of power so I only had my phone to take the shots for posterity.
Oh yeah! The cache was Sainted at 1154hrs.
A tremendous walk, great views and a lot of fun gains a favourites point from this cacher.
TFTC and cheers

A beautiful day for caching in the Narawntapu National Park. Made our way up the hill buffeted by a fairly strong wind but the views at the top were worth the effort. A quick find at GZ. TFTC
Wow what a spectacular view, we wish we had been here sooner. Everything is good here we swapped, signed and picked up the Tb.Tftc
Awesome cache in good condition. Signed the log but did not take anything! Awesome view and we'll worth the Trek!
Beautiful national park and a great walk on a sunny day. Really liked all the wildlife. Finally dropped off Fred Flintstone. Have a good trip Fred!
Found during my roadtrip in Tasmania, thank you very much for cache

Sweet day Epic spot… and wombats everywhere thought it was an appropriate spot for the travel cub as there are many friends here to get up to mischief with : ) until its moved again which I don't think will be to long as its a popular spot with beautiful views and a nice walk. I suggest parking at the furthest eastern car park where there are signs for the walk and after reaching the summit (40mins) and scoring another cache along the way return back along the beach to the car park….
enjoy…. ><(())'>
