took a little bit of searching but soon had the cache in hand. thanks for a fun find!
Out for a long bike ride and trying to find a few geocaches along the way. This one took me a few minutes, but I finally found it. TFTC.
Targeting a few caches out north today on the bike. Cache found and log signed. A short ascent to this one in a likely spot.
No water in the lake. No luck for the cache. Tried high and low, but no sign of cache. Will try again next time.
Thank you for the tricky find! We definitely needed a second person for the elevation boost.
A nice quick find while walking after work while on a work trip. Great spot plenty of birds.
Thanks for the cache

After a CITO event earlier a handful of us headed to the wet lands/bad lands to hopefully find a little unloved cache. This one was on the way so I ducked in, seen a nesting swan and found a cache.

After the nearby Rosewater CITO I teamed up with Kayche23, Jolly0, Peas&CarrotsForever and their GeoPup for some caches in the Greenfields Wetlands.
Peas&CarrotsForever and Jolly0 had stopped by for this cache but I was too wrapped up in my conversation with Kayche23 to notice they had stopped so I had to find it on the way back to the entrance.
After a minute of searching I eventually found it. Thanks to my cheer squad who were watching on.
All is well here.
Thanks The Calumphing_Four for this cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3253 on the 15th of July 2023.
CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it!
Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!

Took some searching but previous logs gave us an important clue. Even if you are 170cm tall, you will need a step up, unless you are very agile. No birds to look at today as no water in the wetlands here. TFTC
After the uneswido walk cache, I headed the loop to arrive at this bird watching station. I passed a few people on the way out and thought I had the place to myself. The cache hint agreed.
No sooner had the search commenced and someone turned up. I do not know what they were doing, their purpose or requirement. I tried to wait them out, but failed. I walked further north then came back to still find them there. I walked north again and finally won the waiting game. Back at GZ I found the cache, not in the first place I looked, but eventually got there using the reverse phone technique. Cache and log book are in good shape.
Thanks for the cache and the placement C4, I am happy I have walked out here to see this. On returning to the car, I found I was again uneasy with the cars parked here. Three people in separate cars just watching me, not covertly but rather obvious and intently. I was certainly happy to leave.

Found this a few days back just getting round to logging. Cache in good order. Shame about the mess in and around the hut TFTC
Hut looks to have been Reno'd recently, might have been distributed. Will try again another day.
Primarily here for the nearby cache (Jasmer point), so getting this nearby one while I’m here. The swans came out shortly after the find. Thanks Calumphing_Four.
Etched our name in the log book with a nail cause we didn't intend on caching when we left the car. Some water that the shallows were enjoying this evening. Thanks for sharing this area with us!
I came and tried to find this last year but couldn’t find it, tonight I put Davidwazza on my shoulders and we soon found it.
Tonight Davidwazza and I headed out to collect a few caches around the northern area. With the days slowly getting longer it was good to get out for a walk in the wetlands

With daylight savings activated, the evenings became like half days to me after work, and good excuses to explore areas deserving of light, yet quite close to the city. Subsequently, I joined [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) as we chose to visit the northern area wetlands just next to the salt plains. An enjoyable walk, although we did collect a number of grass seed prickles that I needed to spent half hour when I got home to remove every one from my socks and shoes. It was then on to a few random suburban caches that we both needed for the calendar day, before a final stop at firesafe's *Remembering our Fallen Firefighters* Adventure Lab.
This was our second cache find in this vicinity, as we continued our walk along the overgrown trails to this bird watch. A great spot for a cache, and as I said in SA_ParrotHead's cache, I do wonder how many people know about this area - it does feel like a local secret. Yay for geocaching. [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) mentioned that he had a previous DNF here, so i started looking thinking it shouldn't be too hard with recent finds. I climbed up around the structure and checked various positions, nothing. It took another 5-10 min of looking before thinking there had to be only one other spot that it could have been. Once [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) helped me in getting to the right height, the cache was found. Everything inside was in good shape, thanks The Calumphing_Four for a great location. It's funny that we did see security inspecting the area and had the gate open, but concluded ourselves to park outside and not tempt the access for a possible locked gate late. Cheers.

Thank you for the challenge. Being a terrain 1.5 I didn’t think I needed to build myself a step ladder out of wooden planks to reach this sneaky sucker. Good hide, but bring a ladder if you are shorter than 170cm tall!
Disappointing we didn't find this! I feel there is quite a bit of muggle activity and fornicating as lots of wrappers around (if you know what I mean)
Wanted to come out while its dry but not too hot for the snakes, so thankful for days like today, was beautiful out here. TFTC
After sitting at home staring blankly at some unsolved BFE puzzles, it soon became more apparent that a more productive use of time would be to go and find some already solved ones. A quick drive, a leisurely walk and soon 4 puzzle and 1 traditional cache were soon located. A good variety of hides with all caches in good condition.
A nice easy hidin hole.
Thanks for the cache calumphing_four. Found on 14 Mar 2018 at 10:02 pm. Find #6045.

What a fantastic spot, hidden away in the background of this idealic setting. I found the cache quickly and then took in the scenery. Well worth the short walk. TFTC!
Going on a cache hunt on this pleasant Sunday afternoon with CPwanderer & clare007...
A lovely walk around the wetlands...Its pretty dry in this area of the wetlands...there were a few bodies of water at the start of the walk...we walked around the lake from the nearby cache...
It took quite a while to locate this one but Clare was just tall enough to reach...

Loads of birds about today including nesting swans. This cache took a while to find but the taller geohusband got it in the end. TFTC
Wow! I love this one's GZ. I could easily camp here overnight. Air Mattress on the floor and Sleeping Bag, to get a real feel for the great outdoors but i'm afraid being a Wetland there would be an abundance of you know what... those pesky little winged things with proboscis' that give Dracula a run for his money The cache was found with a bit of a search I might add, but I didn't mind being here one bit {There was a pair of nesting Black Swan's to the East... pics were taken in what is a stunning area in my eyes [^]} SL at 14:47. Sat 26/8/17. The cache and contents are in perfect order [^] TFTC calumphing four
Beaut winter weather for a bike ride today. Unfortunately hardly any bird life around but certainly a beaut location which we would not have visited if not for caching - have a fave. TFTC!
A walk with miss B and baby B through the wetlands. Pity about the lack of pusher access. Found using some natural elevation equipment. Not many birds around today. TFTC
What a great spot. Plenty of spider webs to make poking around more interesting. Thanks
Found while out for a stroll with hubby on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Wetlands are very full and we definitely got our feet wet negotiating the three bridges which had about 5 cm of water over them. I disagree with the hint - a bird watcher with a huge camera arrived at GZ just as we did. He hung around for a while outside while I had quick look inside. Waited until he left and made the find thanks to a sturdy hubby. TFTC. A favourite point for bringing us out here
A walk on the wild side with Purrfect Di today,
stopped here so she could log this one
Still no water in the lake here, plenty of swans in the other one!!

Today we went for a walk into the wetlands on the northern side of the expressway. Whilst there was some water in some area, it was obvious that there was much less water than normal and the absence of bird life reflected this. After a short walk to GZ we were able to locate the cache in a good hide and Mr y'stassie retrieved the cache without the need for an elevating device. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks The Calumphing Four for this cache. We would like to return when there are birds in the area - it would be very interesting.
Lovely walk to the bird spotting hut on a nice cool day. Saw the munition buildings on the way and of course the bird life. Thanks calumphing_four for the adventure.
on a last minute mini mission out north. so forgot the gps and tb I was going to drop. found it with the phone, and the first time the phone got the co ords right, not 5 metres away. last time there was water ( when I did other nearby cache ) and flocks of ducks, pelicans, and swans. this time there was almost no water and 3 birds total.
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Travelling between field sites and was passing nearby so decided to detour in and make the find. Parked in the shade and started the stroll to GZ. Soon identified the location of the hide. After a short search made the find. Signed log and replaced. unfortunately swan lake was dry and no bird life at all nearby. Oh well a cache smiley is good compensation. Gratias pro cache.
Plenty of swan folk present today as I rode the bike along the bumpy road next to the wetlands
On the bike it did not take long to reach GZ.
I briefly slowed to avoid running over a snake though
A quick check of GZ revealed that birds have been hiding in here [:o]
Dodging the sticky piles of duck poo, I soon found the cache
Time to relax for a minute or two,
enjoy the view,
and a fizzy cola too !!

Had been eyeing the traditionals for quite a while but luckily did not make the walk before some new BFE's came out int the vicinity..

After finishing all of the housework I was feeling a little bit bored and thought that doing a few caches would fix that boredom. I was right.
Walking to this cache from the last we saw three snakes so we were being extra careful not to upset any. Once at the location and we had inspected it for snakes we started are search. I had to resort to using pervious logs which made the find super quick.
We stamped the log and returned the cache to where we found it.
Thank you, calumphing_four

Bonza! A not so quick find. Spent a good 5 minutes looking all over the place. Then "BAM" the last place to look. Now to find a reel cache. TFTC!
Back again taking a minor detour on my weekly trip to pick up the grandkids from school. After reading previous logs I had a pretty good idea where to look, and it took all of 30 seconds to come up with the goods. Now how on earth did I miss that last time?! So, I had time for a pleasant stroll around the wetlands on the warmest day since autumn. Thanks c4
Well, I'm sure it's there somewhere, just nowhere I looked! I've read through some old logs and will return with a plan!! Which reminds me of one of my favourite palindromes......"A man, a plan, a canal.....Panama!"
Found this one on a side detour while going after another cache. This is a very interesting area, both sides of the road! A fairly straightforward find after reading some previous logs.

Out with SA Sewer Rats and Brodie this afternoon for some relaxation therapy.....hunting down BFE caches
Hunting them down is the easy part...it's solving the blighters that's the hard part!
3 BFE for me and 1 trad, too
This cache has been teasing me for ages, ever since I did Uneswido Wetlands, every time I drive up and down the expressway...which is often
Today, we dodged the rain and made it into GZ reasonably dry, although we did remain under the shelter for a few minutes until the rain passed.
This is a T2 and as I wasn't carrying the magic geo tool, Mrs Rat used my knee as an elevation device and retrieved the cache for me
Loved seeing the swans and other waterbirds and even Brodie enjoyed the walk [^]

A good brisk day for a walk around some wetlands!
Funny thing was the lake here was almost dry - one small puddle.
But the one I passed on the way here was full and teeming with birdlife
- swans cygnets pelicans whatever the others were!!!
Needed to fashion a way to reach the cache - but plenty of useful materials lying around!

Wow, there was a rat at GZ... It didn't know which way to run when I turned up. TFTC
A pleasant stroll in a great wetland but no luck here for me.
I could see where it used to be and the obvious geo markings
from previous retrievals but even more illumination yielded
no prize.

Gotcha!
I was wandering down this well travelled road, for no reel reason at all, when I spotted this one on my GPS. I thought the cache might have gone when I found the stash note on its own. But a little more rummaging around, and the cache itself was located.
Thanks C4.
ZZzz..
Out on a beautiful day for a walk in the wetlands (Oh, and to find some caches too!) Had trouble finding this one, but after deploying a mirror and a torch, a cache was found! (I don’t like putting my hands where I can’t see what their touching!!) . A great location for bird photography. TNLN SL Thanks for the cache.
Oh my ... really hard to find ! Beautiful day ! Saws chicks ^^ but we saw as well many spider eggs creepy !! TFTC hard one but we did !!!
Out with brisal5 clearing out another small part of suburban Adelaide.... A lovely spot, but lucky for me I had a tall tool to retrieve this one.
mogni was in town yet again for some work. That meant only one thing....caching time. I was half way through Frequent Flier Mach Two, so it was a case of set a course in the general direction of the remaining way-points and collect a few other caches along the way.
After digitally killing off paper we decided to follow the nearby trail backwards for while. But the sun came out and it was so nice with swans and birds that soon we had gone all the way to #1, crossed the road and walked our way here. Thanks calumphing four.

A lovely walk through the wetlands today resulted in a couple of finds, along with plenty of wildlife and lush green plantlife. I was even lucky enough to spot a group of pelicans who came very close to the bird viewing shelter.

If your short like me you defiantly need to make sure you do this with a taller cacher, lucky geohubby was caching today. We searched high, we searched low, we looked in, we looked out, we spread our search area, we shrunk our search area. We where in the correct place the first time, just didnt have the reach to retrieve the cache. We even utilised a PAF to discover we where in the right location..
After all that we retrieved the cache signed the log and off we went to find another.

After just completing Quadrfid we decided to grab a couple extras before heading home, the wetland walk was first on the list but as we went the wrong path we decided to keep going this path and get this one, it was very quiet when we arrived at GZ both for muggles and birds, the lack of water could play a major factor in that lol, going by the terrain rating we were heading for a DNF but after phoning a friend we found it where i thought it was but as that was a higher terrain rating i shrugged it of, i think the terrain rating should be a 2, it was a pleasant walk down to here and when we got to the areas with water we saw some fantastic bird life, the highlight was the hawk or falcon that was close above us, very pretty bird : ) TFTC
Went out with 3LG to do Quadrifid to day, we decided to stop and do a few more caches while in the are. Gz was quiet today, as there was little water. After a searching for a low rating, it was phone a friend
for a hint. This rating should be a bit higher. While having a pleasant stroll we stopped to watch a Falcon or Hawk fly above us. TFTC

The picture are nice with the water and Swans floating past but today here there was no signs of Swan and ducks a bit of a dry argument today, as did not even get our feet wet for this one as the water was nowhere to be seen so could walk up to the cache, just a pity it has dried up hope for rain soon to attract the Swans and Ducks back here again. TFTC
Found It!
No swans today. Possibly because the lake was so dry we could walk directly in a straight line from Parrothead's cache to this one!

A great urban adventure. Cool hide but once thought about a fairly easy find. Not frequented by many and a great walk. TFTC.
Headed out this morning for a lovely walk around the Wetlands and locate a few caches
Plenty of the beautiful black swans and signets but no cache
Very wet and boggy around ground zero
Will have to come back another day when it has not been raining over night

After a relaxing day with family on a Port River cruise and a pub dinner afterwards we stopped off at the wetlands to grab a couple of caches. There is an amazing amount and variety of birdlife in these wetlands and it is a very nice area to go for a walk. I think it is a shame that these caches are not found more often so I've given both a favourite point to hopefully encourage others to this beautiful area. TFTC calumphing_four!
While out with SA4agers we made this our last one for the day, and what a full on day it has been, cruising up the Port river, Geocaching and going to the pub for tea, now hanging out for a cuppa when we get back home. Thanks for getting us out to see the wetlands calumphing_four and for the great little hides.

On the way back from some cahing in Gawler stopped off to do this one as last time I didnt have my 2step with me. As I walked along the path to GZ saw some swans who have made their nest out in the water and some cygnets swimming around. However the strangest thing I saw was a man coming
towards me wearing a suit and tie?????????. Where was he going, where had he been, and where was his car??. Mind you he probably wondered why I was carying my 2 step but I still think he was more stranger than me. [?]

It’s been a while since I’ve been in this area, and I’d forgotten how picturesque it is. There’s plenty of water at the moment, though C4 assures me that it does get a bit deeper after a good downpour. Only one swan to watch today, and he was quite a way off, so I concentrated on finding the cache instead. There are only really a couple of places it could be, so it didn’t take too long until I stuck my hand into the right place.

Great spot that I hadn’t visited before. The sun had just come up and the waters were like glass only interrupted by the odd bird landing or taking of. Thanks for taking me here C4
A quick find, and a nice view from the hide. Plenty of swans and other birds out on the water today. Thanks calumphing four for the cache.
A great day for a walk. Plenty of birdlife on the water and the bushes and grasses around the wetlands. I've driven past these wetlands more times than I care to count but this was my first visit,my previously negative opinion of this area has been changed forever.
I left the "Bukoba, Tanzania" Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug in this cache.

Another cache we have driven past so many times and went 'there's a cache' but had to keep on driving for various reasons. Finally took the time to stop by today. Even managed to see plenty of swans and swanlings as well .
We were almost muggled out as well as a serious bird watcher approached the hide just as we were leaving.

I spent a really nice hour or so wandering about the wetlands here, and found some geocaches too. I had a nice time but forgot my binoculars, which DO normally live in my caching bag of bits. A pity cause it's worth taking some along.
And I found this cache after an embarrassingly long time looking for it. It's there, and it is unlikely to get wet!
Took the pathtag and left a paperclip thing. Could see Malco's footsteps in the long weeds preceding me by 1 day.
