Nice place but we couldn't find it either. It has not been found for over a year. Please could this be archived or reinstated by the cache owner.

We initially treid from the top but there seemed to be cliffs everywhere. So we tried at the bottom but the tide was not low enough and we got wet shoes Big Grin. Had another go from the top, tracking all over the place to see if we could get down safely anywhere but no luck.

Never mind, I really enjoyed seeing the old quarry up the top and we had a lot of fun getting wet shoes!!

06-May-12
A beautiful spot, but the combination of high tides and the super moon today made it impossible to gain access from either side of the point. Will try again Smile

05-Apr-12
I managed to get boosted over to GZ with a lot of help from dad, but there was no cache to be found. Could CO please check on it ?!

27-Jan-12
Never managed to get to this one during the week as always passing when the tide was wrong. Tried going over the top but was not comfortable taking geocaching kids this way.

09-Jul-11
completely inaccessible due to the king tide and slippery slopes. Will be back on alow tide to this great little spot

not sure if i logged this one as found already

Found this one today. There is a crack/hole in the container, so the log is soaked through. Didn't have anything to replace it with, but left a little chicken to mind the shop...

Log is paper mache.

We got up early this morning to see the sunrise over Adventure Bay, and to get this cache before leaving to catch the 10am ferry.
Pam and I began walking around the point from the Caravan Park side, but the high tide put an end to that.
Then we found a small dirt road which lead out to the point. At the end in the clearing was a caravan whose owners were obviously having a cheap night by avoiding the cost of using a park. We drove in and parked near the van, probably making the occupants think they were being busted by the local council. We soon found a little path which lead down to the rocks, which we traversed with a little difficulty.
From this point we scrambled around about 80 metres to where the cache was. It was found fairly easily, and as the previous finder commented, the log was saturated and unusable. The piece of paper was signed in lieu of the log.
We then rehid the cache and backtracked to the car, and returned to our cabin for breakfast, a shower, and the ferry.
Thanks for the cache, no swapping this time.

Pleasant walk to the cach with our friends from Dubbo "the young gads".
Log very wet, our friends had to put in a piece of paper.

A nice walk to the cache, found with our friends Roaring 40's.
The log was very wet so put a piece of paper in the log.

Found during our stay on the island.
We loved it.

More like a 4 or 5 terrain when you do this one at high tide. Even worse when you slip on the rocks and submerge yourself to the waist. But still a fun cache with our muggle relatives!! Nearly got them hooked on this unusual activity. Log book drenched and not able to be written in. Tried to sign but after scratching through a couple of saturated pages gave up. Hopefully the next visitor will take a new log book and good sealproof plastic bag. Thanks.

1st attempt, a lovely walk along the beach but the tide was too high.
2nd attempt some hours latter driving past and the tide was still too high so I drove along the track into the old sand stone quarry on the end of the point and walked (climbed) down the track and along to the cache. Thanks

Stopped here mid afternoon for lunch overlooking the cape we had just climbed. Popped around the point and bagged this cache before returning to camp.

Quite some time since I was on Bruny so picked up a couple of caches that were not here last time I was over.
Thanks Fidjit

Was on a bus tour to Bruny. Waiting at the terminal, we calculated the co-ords only to discover that we didn't have enough time. So not really a DNF - just an "another time perhaps".

This was quite difficult just as the sun was going down, on a wet evening. Found it however just as I decided to give it away. TFTC, TNLN.

1307 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 0940. Determined not to let this one beat us, after 3 days and 3 attempts approached from the other side (tides are too high at this time of year to do it the easy way).Visited CacheMover coin SL Tnx Fidjit

A bit of a scramble but eventually found this one. Stood at the waters edge and then understood the clue. TNLN Thanks

After a slow start to the day we found the cache. Kids had fun looking in the rock pools at different sea creatures. TFTC

After getting wet feet we had a look in some rock pools and then headed round to an easy find. Lovely quiet and warm place out of the wind TFTC

Find number 9 for the 15th day of our trip to Tasmania and the Mega Event. Found at 1335 hrs, find number 190 for the trip so far. Another easy find as we headed down to Adventure Bay on Bruny Island. A bit of rain around, but not enough to cause any major issues.

Cheers

[Beautiful beaches and perfect geocaching weather. TFTC, cheers.]
At the listed co-ords our GPS indicated a position on moist rocks at low tide.
When facing the embankment and trees from this spot the encrypted clue made immediate sense.

At last! many times in the bay but never time to find it. Low tide and perfect weather, we took the opportunity to grab this one.

Found on mother madchilli's birthday, we turned up at very close to high tide, parked on the southern side and made it into quiet corner but then had to scramble up the hill, through some campers, through a quarry then down over the northern side and around the rocks... no easy feat for a 9 and 5 year old but they had a great time, cache found easily and once back to the old quarry we returned via the road, TFTC

Yes, it was oh, so quiet [^]. What a walk to get to this though Cool. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite low tide so up and over we went Big Grin. Lucky for us I spotted a ‘sign’ that proved to be hiding a cache nice and snugly underneath it Cool. Thanks for bringing us to explore this little area Cool. TFTC

Had quite an adventure getting “up and over†to our first Bruny Island cache. Thoroughly enjoyed our scramble/slip/slide to GZ. Mrs Lat&Long found the cache while I tried to rationalise why the GPSr wanted me to go swimming. Always nice to have a second pair of eyes on the hunt [^]. TN/LN/SL. Cache is happy and well. Returned to the car via a slightly less adventurous route and were faced with a creek crossing Surprised. Just then, a lady from the nearby house came out and suggested we walk up her driveway to the road. Don’t you love a friendly muggle?

First day on the island and the tide was right so why not look for a geocache. Some beaut starfish in the rock pools. TFTC

Was quiet here at 1300hrs. Last time I ventured out to this spot, my cousin was bit on his bare chest by a penguin. Best hickey I've ever seen. Drizzly day, but enjoyed the cache. Thanks for the fun and the wet feet. Cheers OldSaint.

Last cache for the day. Had to return later in the day due to high tide. Was quite easy to get to at low tide. Cocktail hour has started and we are late. Took pathtag. TFTC

25-Oct-09
We love adventure bay. We took the hard way down the cliff to get to the cache. Saw some penguins holed up in the crevices. TFTC

13-Oct-09
Wow this turned out to be a hard scramble after all the rain. Fell over lots slid lots but eventually had the cache in hand. TN left a path tag. Thanks for the cache.

25-Apr-09
R and E went looking. We took the high road, and bush bashed far more than necessary. After R fell down over a rocky outcrop into the scrub we gave up due to lack of time. We'll come back again next time and try the lower approach.

First find on the "work" trip to Bruny - driving right past (twice!) so Mr red tag could not pass it up. My, that track is steep (and slippery) if you decide at the last minute to take the "high road". The track is also becoming a little overgrown and without a hat I was sure I would pick up some extra passengers (vegetable or arthropod) in my hair, but alas, none found me to their liking!
Hint was perfect and the cache easily found. TNLN
Thanks Fidjit !

15-Feb-09
Took the high road out but decided that a 10m wade was easier on the way back. Cache was easy thanks to the hint. TNLN SL TFTC

A very, very, very wet day. Thunderstorms! Logging rather late, sorry.... had trouble with my internet connection. This is an absolutely lovely spot. We had some wet feet... tide coming in Smile

06-Jan-09
Arrived here to find a high tide .... Had to scale the cliff and clamber around the rocks to find the GZ. Left GC Signal GC-Jul 07.

Had great fun finding this one with young son, - was high tide so had to scramble down steep slope.
Thanks Fidgit

10-Dec-08
Mid-tide, not too tricky, super well hidden though

Third fer tha day, an' a nice 'an easy one. Got there at highish tide, so a bit o' climbin' were needed. We found it 'appily though. Verry peaceful...apparantly they don' 'ave pirates aroun' 'ere, otherwise it'd be a tad louder!

Second find for the day and FTF to boot.
I totally stuffed this one thanks to the GPSr. Parked in a sandstone quarry and took off along an overgrown trail with RomanSwamp in tow. Arrived at the point with about 11m to go and no way of seeing where GZ was, so I left Roman at the top as a lookout and I cafefully made my way down to the sea.
A footnote for all those that follow. CHECK THE TIDE! Also, GREEN = SLIPPERY!
I finally made my way to GZ after having to climb back up to find a suitable approach as it was high tide when we were there.
Found the cache quickly and logged. TNLN, thanks fidjit. Oh, and the quiet was deafening.
