TFTC Possibly the most accurate co-ords ever!Everything is in perfect condition. Out here visiting family.
I found it but I replaced it. This cache and log were in bad shape. Will send a pic to CO. A shout out to CP Wanderer who made the replacement cache. Its now a quacker! This area has the potential for a CITO This is my birthday find. TftC
A quick find on my way back to Gunnedah after parkrun in Narrabri. Something has chewed the container, but the material bag inside keeps all protected. It is always nice to see the name of someone you know on the log. Hi Shrek! TFTC
A straightforward find as I drove by today. I'm on my way to Brisbane to housesit for my sister for a couple of weeks and to spend some time with my mother. Instead of heading straight up the Pacific Highway, as I usually do, I'm making my way there via the Castlereagh and Newell Highways this time. Thanks for the .
Whilst on our half lap convinced muggle driver to make a few stops here and there to make some finds. Thanks ps late logs sorry
(4 of 9 today)Time to head home, but not via the most direct route. Am trying to target a few LGAs on the border that Im unlikely to revisit, and see some towns Ive never visited.Started at 7m in Tenterfield and headed west towards Moree and the south to Gunnedah.Even with regular cache stops this was a long way of solo driving. Finally got home at 8pm.But an interesting day - and even found two caches just found by a fellow Sydney cacher. What are the chances?###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Headed south on the Newell Highway to Narrabri. And on leaving stopped here for this cache.I must say that this is the snakiest spot Ive ever been without seeing a snake! Made my way to GZ and after a short search made the find. While the container is compromised, the contents were in good condition. Signed the log and noticed a familiar name who had been here just yesterday! Wonder where hes heading? Well I know one way to find out! Completed signing duties and replaced, then carefully back to *The Hademobile*.SLTNLN TFTC
#793 ~ Making my way from QLD to Geraldton WA. Spent the night in Narrabri so had to make sure I found a cache to mark the occasion. Of course this had to be off the beaten track and I was wearing thongs Found the cache. Needs a new container as a critter has gnawed the base. TFTC Team Yowie!!
Stayed nearby overnight and grabbing anything along the way. Nice to have a quiet day.Something animal has found the container tasty Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
A jaunt through the long grass to find this one. Thankfully it's a little on the cool side, so wriggly sticks are tucked away somewhere warm.
Travelling from North East Victoria to Longreach Qld happily caching along the way.
Thanks to all COs who maintain caches for us to enjoy.

Took a bit of searching for this one, there were a couple of good spots, the grass is so long , I would have hated to try this in the summer . Narrabri county done. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
TFTC. Team Yowie for your cache Just off Jacks that we found today.
Got into Narrabri around lunchtime and set up camp at the Showgrounds. After lunch we went out and found a couple of caches before finding the shopping centre to stock up supplies for the journey home.
This was one of the caches we targeted.
Find Count: 16329

A trip to Perth checking out some of the awesome places along the way in ACT, NSW, Qld and NT. Grabbing some old caches and missing LGAs. TFTC.
Grass is very long but cache was found in good condition. Plenty dry enough to sign.

Searched in obvious spots, but not obvious enough as couldn't find it. Bug rain last night, lucky I've got my gumboots
A very tricky hide which took us some time to find, not being in the obvious places. Signed and replaced. The cache container is a bit rat eaten, but the log itself is in good condition. Thanks Team Yowie for placing the cache.

We're driving up to Lightning Ridge today, making a 4hr drive into 8hr of course with 18 caches - an unusual mix of 5 GC and 13 GCA finds today.... We had great caching conditions today, temps to 22 degrees even, and dry (for once!).
This was nearly a DNF, despite being a super easy 2 minute cache! It is just hidden quite well, and not in the couple of more obvious spots. We had basically given up, but when I saw the container size in a photo from a few days prior we went back and scoured deeper, finally spotting it.... the container has been rodent chewed, but insides are quite dry.... TFTC.

Found today on our drive from Gunnedah to Lightning Ridge, we only found a few GC caches and a lot of trigs/GA caches... Had an amazing time driving through this area, we saw quite a lot of emus as well!

Travelling with Geospark62. He lost the toss to walk through the long grass. I watched in picking off all the prickles from the last find. TFTC
Thanks for the hunt, Team Yowie. Took us a good 15-20 minutes even after looking at the hint which we try not to do. Recommend changing the difficulty rating to a 3 or 3.5. Once we found it though there were some great swaps which we replaced with other great swaps and a trackable. TFTC once again Team Yowie.
Quick find following the Geo trail in. Replaced the wet log book to a brand new one. Thanks for placing the cache.
I found this geocache on a mystical journey from South Australia, through Victoria, New South Wales and back again.
I did log all of the caches on my handheld GPS however some of the logs did not sychronise properly so I apologise for the generic log on these caches, which are the ones that didn't log proprly from my GPS.
I had a fantastic journey and thank you for placing and maintaining your geocache or earthcache for visitors like me.

Gradually making our way south, after attending the CacheQLD MEGA, of course we had to make a few stops to stretch our legs on the drive from Toowoomba to Narrabri.
Neat little cache, sadly like a number of others - almost a nightmare battling against grass and fearce mosquitoes to get to at the moment.
Thanks Team Yowie for placing interesting caches on the gameboard.

Day 8 of our journey for the CacheQld Mega at Dayboro, We had planned on taking a longer time to return home, but due to commitments at home we need to return and have our Covid test in Vic to meet those appointment times.
Today we travelled from Moree to Parkes, adding smileys along the journey.
This was our 3rd for the dayand took us a little off track. Cache was quickly found but certainly not a terrain 1 due to the growth at GZ.

Oh what a trip! We finally bit off more than we could chew but it still somehow managed to end well!
Aquilus1 and myself have been striving on a mission for some time now... to get ALL the counties in NSW. We did the hard ones early actually, via two trips flying to Adelaide and driving to Sydney/Melbourne respectively. The previous trip was a simple Newcastle loop, so....finally the time had come....six months overdue because of Covid lockdowns to complete the last loop: Armidale/Ballina.
Of course, its not just about the counties, we crammed in a bunch of larges, DT, virtuals and even a Wherigo.
Day -30: Qantas screw us over and cancel our Armidale flight.... so a frenzied replan and Qantas agree to fly us to Ballina instead....bonus is that the car hire from Ballina comes with UNLIMITED km's.... this is great as we knew we would exceed the max by about 1200km...not cheap!
Day 1: We fly into Ballina, marvel at the super crap roads and all the people not working, but exercising, without shirts, in and around Byron. So glad my tax dollars support these people! After driving north to scary cow country we went west and made it as far as Tenterfield, but not before we got an amazing surprise FTF on a challenge cache in Casino....happy days! Yet another crazy late night pizza guy, and a lovely motel manager who had the BEST beds in NSW greeted us.
Day 2: Tenterfield to Tamworth, the long way, via Moree. Long drive through windmill country with some amazing walks for oldies and great views of cool mountains.....we said to ourselves "wow, look at that, there should be an Earthcache here that we could log fro the road".... and there WAS!!! We repeated this trick on day 3 as well. Got to love that. Outside Moree we found piles of various grains at the rest stop.... I wonder what that was about.
Day 3: Tamworth to Kempsey, we saw Armidale on Sunday... so quiet, but a great Virtual and a ridiculous journey through head high grass....for someone with allergies this was nuts! We managed a tricky challenge cache series and a multi that required Aquilus1 to go crazy high on a tree.... that ladder was well worth it yet again!
Day 4: More larges and then a great paddle for some great DT. The water at Stuarts Point was so nice, we kept going and going.....which in hindsight maybe wasnt the best idea, but we knew how far we had to get, and how much time we had.... the windy roads then roadworks however messed those plans up. 15 minutes late, watching them start to load the plane we werent on just sucked.... but, the HJ's (and our desperation) fueled the many new plans until Plan 'F', for fabulous, came to fruition.
We made it home, a little later than expected with slightly grumpier partners than ideal.... but we made it! Planes, trains & automobiles in the end..... so glad we didnt have to walk from Goulburn!

GreyHams and myself have been targeting counties for some time now and this trip was to be the last of the NSW counties... It would see ALL NSW counties complete!
It sure has taken us through some amazing places in the state as we journeyed through all of the counties, this trip would see the last 23 counties needed of the 129. One again we saw a lot of variety over the four days from the scenic coast, lush green country side, rainforest, mountains and out west to a much drier and flatter landscape.
Counties were our priority for this trip, and an abundance of larges also made the select list, Virtuals, types, old ones, interesting ones and of course DT, if your cache made this list it had a quality that was needed... we also managed a surprise FTF along the way as well!
It wouldn't be a trip without the ladder, or the esky... and good old Qantas happily checked them in with our bags!
Day 1 saw us flying into Ballina, driving North up through Byron, a beautiful part of the coastline where shirts and shoes are optional! After a dash up a hill, it was along the beach to the most easterly cache of Australia, a clamber up the side of the headland for an earthcache and time for a virtual. Driving north to Mooball for our most northerly county and then back down and across to Tenterfield, arriving after a surprise FTF and a long winding drive through the hills where we stopped for the night. Chose our hotel for the man sleeping on the sign, and as advertised, the best beds, and indeed I did sleep as well... the quietest hotel in town where everyone was sleeping and the lady working there the loveliest... and the best Pizza we will ever taste in town!
Day 2 we left Tenterfield with a wave of a local horseman and made our way west to Moree before dropping down and driving to Tamworth for the night. Some unexpected locations along the way had us saying 'there has to be an earth cache on that!' and indeed dropping out of our lists there was and a few extra locations stopped at and enjoyed.
Day 3 was the trip from Tamworth, up to Armidale and back down again to drive across to Port Macquarie before starting our way north to stop in Kempsey. Some interesting caches and tracks, and the good little SUV was the toughest and most reliable of them all for some of the tracks that were lost in the highest of grass and the pollen of the grass seeds that left clouds in the sky as we passed. A trail of challenge caches tested the little car some more and GreyHams navigated us through with ease. The ladder had a work out and some great caches collected for the day with it.
Day 4 we left Kempsey with the plan of driving back to Ballina for our planes back home. Some newer larges had us down some more bumpy wet tracks, some a little more than we could navigate so a short walk to finish. Very tropical with the mountains, even banana trees and so much sugar cane too. A kayak for great DT was indeed a great addition. Also our down fall as the drive was long, the roadworks a plenty and our plane due, it was a rush and many cache changes to ones along the hwy as we raced north for our plane. Just 15 minutes late and watched as everyone else boarded but us. Getting home wasn't so simple, we got to plan 'F' and a journey of planes, trains and automobiles to get us home, but what a great trip!!!!
GreyHams was as always a great companion, driver, navigator, cache finder, planner, ladder carrier, disaster management solver on another very enjoyable trip, NSW counties complete... go team!!! Looking forward to the next adventure!
CACHE DETAILS: Definitely a quick and easy cache here!

Thank you ! A clever spot. Car tripping from Lightning Ridge today to Tamworth.
We came to the area couple weeks ago to work on a local gin for the season and of course needed to do some caching too! Thank you for this cache and greeting from Finland!
