Tftc. There was a time when there was no geckos in your house. In the early 1980s is when I recall first seeing them. Actually you heard them before seeing them. All good here with this gecko.
Today I visited Bellbird Grove to complete the Golden Boulder AdLab and to find a couple of old caches in the area. I remember coming here when I was younger and we came to Brisbane to visit my grandparents. We would pack a picnic and set it up on the grass. Then we would play in the creek and go for a walk and listen to the Bellbirds that were everywhere.Today I didn't here any Bellbirds singing, unfortunately, but I still had fun climbing around in the creek and enjoyed going for a walk. I combined the Golden Boulder and the Turrbal Circuit Tracks to make a loop walk from the carpark. There were a few sections of the walk where the lantana is taking over and it is getting hard to follow the track. I finally made it around to this cache and followed the geotrail up the hill. I found the old container with the contents spilled all over the ground. I presume an animal has been scratching around here. Thanks to the double bagged log it was only slightly damp and I was able to add my name to it. Then I put all the pieces back into the container and tried to wedge it into the ground firmly. Thanks for the cache construction wingaap, and thanks 1MinnieMoo for the ongoing maintenance of this cache!
Always love finding wingaap caches. They are pretty much guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. We started at the golden boulder circuit, exploring the gold history of this area, and then crossed the road to continue the Turrbal circuit. Got our feet wet at each creek crossing as there has been some rain recently and the path is underwater. We had no signal once we got close to this cache but we had the arrow pointing so we managed to spot it as we were looking in one of the other options nearby. All good here. Thanks for adopting and maintaining this one 1MinnieMoo.
Tftc. A quick hike up the trail for the 2nd find of the day with the minicachers in tow.
Geo daughter had a party to go to this afternoon which left me with a 4 hour window of me time. Planned a georide from Ferny Hills through Samford conservation park, along Samford rail trail, up and over Camp Mountain, down to Bellbird grove and back through upper kedron. Lots of pushing geobike up hills but had a great time. TFTC
1MinnieMoo I found your cache Gecko on 21/6/2023, 11:50 am. This is my find 5652 and find # 4 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Had some difficulties locating this one despite the really good hint. Had to put brain into think will wingaap mode to consider the placement. (We have been finding a few of these today chasing the fovorites challene wheel) Had to use a bit more up mode and found some artwork. Thanks for Cache.
Beyond the tree fall we found another well constructed cache. Thanks for the great cache, maintenance and smiley.
Out for a walk with the family late this arvo. Having done the Golden Boulder track first we ventured to this quick loop. Half way through we stopped to look for geckos and we found one. Another Wingaap special. I see we are not the only visitors today. Just goes to show the people cant resist a good Wingaap cache. TFTC.
After completing the AL over on the Golden Boulder track I noticed this lonely green spot on the other side of the road. It would be a shame to leave without attempting it. At the start of the track the cache was only 73 metres away (as the crow flies) but to arrive at GZ via the track was probably700 metres. Happily the cache was located, log signed & all returned as found. TFTC
A lovely walk around Bellbird Grove this morning with Kolour. After completing the AL, we headed visited other caches in the area.
Thanks wingaap for the cache, and 1MinnieMoo for ongoing maintenance.

As we got close to this one, I immediately knew it was a wingaap original. Always so nice to find! TFTC and your creativity.
After collecting the nearby oldie, it was only a short stroll to find this wingaap creation…
Cedar Creek was flowing nicely, and I didn’t see another soul the entire time I was here… a quick find once at GZ…
Dropping another fave point… tftc…Replaced the snap lock bags and returned everything as found…

This evening during COVID-19 lockdown, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to take a short drive to Bellbird Grove for a walk after working from home. We first took a walk around the Turbal Circuit, walking along the creek, and with still energy left, we took a walk around the Golden Boulder track. We both had memories of having visited this area several years ago, in particular seeing some of the old gold mine cutouts.
We opted to take this circuit around the creek first up, hence we passed right next to this geocache. A short stroll up the hill, with a few brush turkeys around, and after a few minutes of searching around, we found the noted gecko. Very cute, and another great cache construction by the CO. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wingaap for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. If help is required to maintain, then I'm happy to help in the future, or adopt if need be!
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Heading out with Mr and Mrs SP today with one mission - to find as many Wingaap caches as we could. This was the seventh cache for the day. Wingaap, your caches have entertained and inspired geocachers for decades, and I sincerely hope I have not found your last cache. You're appreciated. I have run out of FPs today, but each and every cache certainly deserves one.
Heading down the mountain after a morning bush walk with BM75.
I stopped at a few traditionals that I had saved, or not yet found, up here.
The road in to this place was fianlly open. Short walk and then a big smile as I spotted the cache
Great work at GZ, have an FP
Thank you wingaap for this cache

The plan today was to do a few caches around Enoggera reservoir and then come down to bellbird grove and do this little area. After a 6 hour hike, some cache exploration and grabbing 8 caches prior, I was getting a little tired.
But I wanted to see bellbird grove so I continued my run down to check out the area. What a cool area lots of open areas and even a few trails to walk around. I decided to walk the trails and grab this cache and make it one of my last for the day.
A nice little walk along the trails to find this cache and all was good. Thank you.

We found this one on a trip out to bellbird Grove before our geocaching was put on hold during the now quiet times.
Over this period of time, we are spending our time trying to solve a few more puzzles, and catching up with a few tardy Geocaching logs.
At GZ, we took a slightly tougher route to the location, not realising how close we were to a Trail. The walk on the way out however was a lot more relaxed as we decided to follow the trail back to our starting point.
Thanks Wingaap. We will look forward to collecting more once our lockdown has been relaxed.
Thanks
Domsky

Had plan another day caching with my Geobuddy Grannysmith1947. She woke up not feeling the best. So change of plan headed Southside to pick up two very old caches for the oldest and finest challenge. Plus some other caches for other challengers. And some that were just to close to me.
Ended up finding 10 caches for today. This one was a extra for the day.
Sorry for the generic post
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC Wingaap *375* streak. *2240* Finds

Quite a tricky and zig-zaggy path to follow down from the trail to the north. A nice custom cache, but it's clearly taken quite a beating over the years! TFTC.

Out with a large group, introducing them to geocaching.
We left Signal trackable.

An otherwise domestic weekend, but with an early morning start I have a couple hours to "get out and about" - so with coffee in one hand and a GPSr in the other (having driven here safely),I wandered over fields, a dale, up a mountainside, over a creek-like thing and viola ... a gecko. I am a fan of the gecko - been called one once or twice (there is even another cache named as such named after me). Cache found where expected. Nice job.
Thanks Wingaap for entertaining me at this location.

I was thinking maybe I could tackle this one from the track to the northeast, which would allow me to grab three caches in that vicinity without much backtracking. Glad I didn't follow through with that plan! Instead, I approached this in typical fashion from the car park, and was soon opening the lid on the cute 'n' rusty chap. Thanks, wingaap.
Wandered around a bit for this, looking at features rather than the GPS. Eventually a familiar style of cache caught my eye and soon after I had the cache in hand. A beautiful day for caching and another smiley on my world map. TFTC
Happy Mother's Day! Out for a picnic and a walk along the tracks. The others sent me up the hill, and soon found it! TFTC
I was meeting up with K8'n'Co this morning to do a walk along Enoggera Creek and I decided to grab a few caches along Mt Nebo Rd on the way. As I had grabbed the other two nearby last week, I decided to make a small detour down to Bellbird Grove to grab this one. I parked at the zebra crossing and walked down the creek before heading straight up the hill to the cache where I made a quick find. Thanks
Oh man this was one of our toughest in a while. We bushbashed down hill from the fire trail and checked out two other possible locations before we saw this cheeky scallywag. Great cache!

Sunday. We were out and about today for a picnic with some family members. Discovering this lovely spot was fantastic! We wanted to go for a walk and thought the well defined track around this area would be great – although it was about 36C today. Our muggle son with girlfriend, along with young muggle 6yr old were enjoying the walk when I called out that there was a cache nearby. Phone reception was low, but good enough that I could see we had a cache and were getting nearer on the map. We spotted a likely looking cache locache and yep! There it was! Young muggle might be a new recruit to the caching world! He loved helping to find the hidden treasure and he loved helping to locate the cache and look inside. We loved the container. Thankfully there was a pen in there as well, as we hadn’t come prepared today. Log signed and replaced. Young muggle very happy too
This was the 2nd of 2 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***wingaap***, for showing us this place.

Out caching with 1Minniemoo on this rainy Sunday. We got completely soaked while doing the other 2 caches in here. The rain had slowed a bit when we got to this one thankfully. We wandered down, avoiding the spiderwebs and other obstacles.
We took way too long to spot the cache, it blends in well with it's surroundings!

Dripping with water, wombles and co and I made our way to this cache wiping the water from our faces with our shirts so we could see. And soon the rain slowed once more, as we headed off path and down the hill. At first we couldn't see what we were after, but a quick change of position as we got closer and all of a sudden there it was, staring right at us. I like geckos, they always make such cheerful sounds, and are good at insect control. Thankfully this one must've been doing its job, as there were no nasty eight legged guardians around this cache today.
Thanks for the cache wingaap.

I wanted to walk around the track so gave up the opportunity to approach this from the other direction. However, the relevant track is closed for maintenance, and the notifications that it is closed become more prominent if you ignore the first blockade... Will be back once the track reopens.
Some bush was in our way from a nearby mystery. Found quickly once back on track and off again. Love the container. TFTC
With a morning free while Geoboy is on holidays, we made the most of a nearby visit to see the platypus at Walkabout Creek by taking a bushwalk and grabbing some caches.
The young bloke was feeling the heat after wandering the hills, so he waited at the water tank and watched me disappear down the hill here and grab the find.
This cache is in good condition, and makes smilie #3059. Thanks **Wingaap** for showing us this spot. Feel free to discover our trackable TGQNRV .

This find should have been a lot quicker than it turned out to be. Next time I will be more observant of tracks branching off the main track during the trek up the hill. Had to backtrack to collect this unloved cache. Cache found with Gcoven. TFTC wingaap.
Introduced a friend to the hunt today, so i wanted an area where the going wouldn't be too rough.
This area was ideal as the bushland is not dense and there are no vertical climbs. And its a Wingy area.
Keeping one eye on the gps and the other on the surrounds, i had a fair idea where this hide would be.
My muggle partner looked in a spot she thought would be an obvious place, but i had already found the hideout.
I encouraged her to widen her search and she soon had the cache in hand.
Yes!! Another one hooked.
And i will say i love your metal creations wingaap.
Signed my name and replaced as found.
Onto the next with an eager companion.

This is the best kind of gecko in my opinion - and the only kind I'd like to see in my house! An easy find on a pleasant early morning walk.
Needing to find a cache or two, I headed to Bellbird Grove. I had intended to find more than one cache today, but I discovered that my legs still dont like me after a long hike two days ago. So, this was the only cache for the day. I parked at the bottom of the hill and wandered up, then down to GZ. At GZ, I found the gecko quickly and signed the log. The legs were wobbly on the way up the track, but coming back up the hill (which would not normally be a problem), they turned to jelly. I decided to give them some more time off and headed back to the car. Will search for the others here another day. TFTC
After a long day at work, I needed to get out and take the dog for another walk and what better way than visit this lovely area. I hopped and skipped the stones and made my way up to the GZ. The GPS was a little bouncy from the trees, but it soon settled and I spotted a very likely specimen which would have the cache. A little walk up and there it was. All dry from the recent rains. TFTC wingaap
Having deposited Mrs CF with a book in Bellbird Grove, it was up to Mr CF to head back and pick up the car. But first there was another unfound cache in the area. I managed to pick the wrong track to walk along but it was near enough - and, indeed, coming in from this direction made it a quick find. Another container befitting the high standards in the area. Where to from here - up!
Well done, this is a gem of a cache. nice work, tftc! Btw, signs advising a controlled burn there shortly.
Last for the day- but only day one. Have caught the bug and think I have a severe dose. Guide for the day was highly infectious. Look forward to more days like this.
Geograndad really had a workout with this one, we forgot our walking sticks really did miss them, after a few slip n slides cache was soon in hand thanks again as always worth the effort
Approached this one from a different angle. Not too bad of a descent - which made for an easy find.
Another great cache creation. Love your work. Made my way back to the other path and continued my way back to the picnic area.
Thanks again, all good with this one.

beautiful container. Had to walk down a hill for ages because we started at the top.
After finding three unloved caches, this was our last cache for the day. Geohubby and Pa had been kayaking on Enoggera Dam and they met us at Bellbird Grove for a BBQ. Two sausages in blankets each later, we were on the trail to find Gecko. Miss 11 and I walked along a bit puzzled. Do you mean we need to go up there? Alrighty then. We went up a terrain 4 hill and realised there was a trail at the top. Oops, wish we'd found this earlier, LOL! Okay now where is GZ? 'Mum, it's here!' Calls Miss 11, and of course it's another rippa. What a cutie! TFTC Wingy and another lovely forest walk
Decided to tackle this one from a different perspective. Could see it clearly as I approached GZ. Joined up with track for trip back to the car
Very cute tin, another great find by our new convert friend the Backling. TFTC!

I have been dying to get out and go for a walk, and lucky for me, muggle friends Tash and Ben are always keen for a hike and a cache, even through injuries. We were planning a nice easy walk with no hills and fortunately for us, this one wasn't too far off the trail. I've been fortunate enough to meet the Green geckos, so I was happy enough to find a cache dedicated for them. TFTH Wingy
What a perfect weekend! Two days out in the bush together with my girlfriend, our mountain bikes, our tent and some really nice Steaks. Besides camping in the bush we found in total 34 caches Thank you very much wingaap for showing us this area. Just because of you and your famous caches we visited this area, so thanks a lot.
Taking a chance to go for a little bit longer walk now and this was the first of the three in this little loop. I am not sure if I was approach from the right side but managed to find my way there anyway.
Anyway not far from the cache I hear a crashing noise in the undergrowth and soon realised it was some sort of monitor lizard that had decided to get out of my way and head for higher ground. I took a wider birth not really wanting to get jumped by a large lizard.
Soon enough I spotted the little gecko and moved in to make the find without disturbing him to much. I got myself the log book and added my name and soon replaced everything. A very nice container.

As I wrote before I had difficulty t find the way that would bring me to Gecko. Just completed the Caching Bug, walked back to the car park and wondered if there would be a path here. There was! Walking the path for about 200 meter and noticed that it wouldn't bring me to the place where I wanted to be. Going back ...
Let's try the stairs ... maybe ... hmm, looks good. Walked the path and suddenly noticed that the big path I just walked from Caching Bug to car park is only 20 meters to the right. Why didn't I see that before (@#$%^ oops, sorry for that). Found the gecko, this time not in Garmin yellow, wrote the log and walked back, over the big path down to car park. Yes .... found it!
--- to be continued ---
Thanks for this cache,
Peter from The Netherlands

Out for a day of caching with Mataeka, Dr_Pepi and Trin_007. This was our second stop for the day, but my first find. TFTC
Woo hooo...my first (hopefully of many!) wingaap's... Congrats to Team_DNF for the find on this one. What a competitive little group - out hunting with Dr_Pepi, Mataeka and Team DNF, but just between you and me...I'm one up on them for the day having snagged "The Marshall Area" before setting off. TFTC, SL, left a little Orange Hamster Tag to continue on his journey
Out with trin_007, mataeka and trin_007, visiting some wingaap caches in the area. This was our first, so we weren't really sure what to expect. On our way we debated whether we had taken the hardest way in (as we tend to do!), and whilst at GZ saw a nice little trail a little further down which probably would have made the trek in a bit easier. But to be fair, our way just happened to be the right direction from which to spot the cache fairly quickly. Turn around and bush bash back out!
TFTH!

Another quick find for dr_pepi team__DNF, trin_007 and myself, and the first of my wingapp finds very cool
Our 200th cache find with our friends! Another fantastic cache from Wingaap! TFTC!
Wandered up and over the creek. Saw a green tree frog. Climbed up a hill and found a little gecko. Tftc
A weekend of intensive wilderness first aid training at Bellbird Grove and here we are, surrounded by caches. The challenge was to grab a few inbetween sessions [:p]
Day one and a break for lunch and while the other participants (mostly adventure racers and rogainers) rested in the shade, I motored up the hill...
Veered off the trail at the large structure and dived into the scrub. An interesting cache in an interesting location and almost a letterbox. After a brief struggle with the lid the logbook was in my hands
TFTC wingaap, really hot weekend! Dreaming of ice cream and pear cider tonight!
