Another day on the peninsula of air, dodging water, with the froghoppin twosome and with Purrfect Di and Jack cleaning some of the colourful little blobs from our geomap. Off we went to finish cleaving a cleaver and a few more new caches too!

Came for a look around the railway and bridge - didn't take too long before we looked... that way... and spotted the prize!! It seems the line isn't in use anymore - so we can relax at least when searching Cool
And Tweety2 we thank you for hiding and maintaining this cache on our ever growing SA geo-map Big Grin

---

Driving around wherever we can - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!

*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Danger! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]

Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside Big Grin

Heaps good of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

Much appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

The Non Wangaratta Event Tour 2021! Razz
Covid has postponed the Mega in Victoria until January but leave had been granted for AnyMules to attend with me and Bushfire. So Anymules and I went on a tour to Eyre Peninsular and mid north South Australia instead whilst Bushfire joined us in spirit only as covid meant he couldn't come here either. Big Grin Not needing anything for my yearly goals I hoped I didn't add too many to the DNFs [B)]Cool

Day 2: Let's head over and get the Cleve Cleaver. Big Grin
A quick detour from the Cleaver to find this one. Razz Took me a little while but I literally bumped into it being a troll. SmileRed FaceRed Face sneaky! Big Grin

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. Twisted So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. Cool That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]

Today was a day of finding caches that really blew us away, or maybe it was just the gale force wind that gave us that feeling. We came along with ilook4geo and found all the caches that we looked for and most were a very quick and easy find. Thanks go to Tweety2 for placing this cache, which we enjoyed finding.

Last day of the holidays and a huge bike ride for me around the Cleve cleaver. It was a long ride but thankfully all caches were found. Geohusband did a great job of being my support vehicle in the motor home. Then onwards to Port Augusta for another free camp before heading home.

This weekend, I joined [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.

Today leaving Whyalla, we headed down the Lincoln Highway, passing through Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay, Port Neill, and Tumby Bay. Just prior to lunch, we also completed the *Cleve Cleaver* geoart trail. A rather long day of geocaching numbers, but the inland and coastal towns were enjoyable to visit, along with the various picturesque beaches along the way.

We were nearby and were halfway completing the Cleave Cleaver, when we took a break at this location. It took us a small amount of time to locate this cache, as we were checking the usual hide locations without having any luck. I then found a possible hiding spot, and just as I noticed something, [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) had spotted the same thing, and he then came across the cache. A good hiding spot. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook was wet. Thanks Tweety2 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

As we were doing the trail near by we detoured out to do this one, we arrived and started the search but nothing was showing up, I decided to just lean against the railing and managed to spot it luckily, cache is all good

Today davidwazza and I made our way from Whyalla to Port Lincoln as part of a weekend away to clean up as much as we could. Today was filled with some good and bad times, plus a few car issues along the way but all in all a great day out and 105 caches found in total.
Thanks for the cache

A planned day trip in the Cleve area concentrating on the cleaver geo art, then some of the others in the area while we still had daylight before heading back to our accomadation, this was one of the extras we stopped to collect, missed spotting it on the first round then stepped back and spotted it straight away

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
After a couple of nights in Cleve we headed up via Darke Peak and towards Kimba. There were a few unloved caches along this road.

Looking for a different size shape and colour but when i found it i knew i found it! Easy when you look in the right direction. Thanks Tweety2

Day 4 of BarnZy and Cravo’s trip from Perth to Adelaide.

Today we travelled from Elliston on the Eyre Peninsula to Whyalla.

We kicked off relatively early, just before sun up and in some intense fog before starting our journey to Whyalla.

We travelled along the Birdseye Highway for the most part of the day, which was a fitting name as we needed an eagle eye to find some of the caches today.

Caching along the highway was good with a great variety of cache containers found, before heading into Lock, which was a very quaint small town, albeit we had little success finding the caches in town.

We moved along the he Cleve Cleaver series which was a great bunch of relatively quick finds, taking just under 2 minutes per cache as we started to get the rhythm of the caches along these parts. Great small power trail which kept us interested with some nice hiding spots.

Continuing along the highway we caches through Cleve, grabbing a few of the nifty letterbox hybrid hides which were most fun, were trying to collect more letterboxes which makes these caches really valuable.

After leaving Cleve we continued along the highway to Cowell, where we enjoyed a nice hot beef roll from the bakery for lunch before continuing up the Lincoln Highway towards Whyalla.

We arrived in Whyalla a little earlier than planned which was good as we had planned to complete the August series trail by torchlight. Before we completed the August series we eyed off a D5 cache Honeymoon Hilton which was an absolutely brilliant cache at a well staged ground zero and a brilliant hide, thankfully we didn’t have to resort to phoning the CO.

We then turned our attention to the August series and loved the quick finds of well setup containers. I thoroughly enjoyed the series.

We then cached around town and managed to pickup the 5/5 Schoolies Challenge, which we had managed to qualify quite some time ago.

We finished up with a great dinner at the camp kitchen at the caravan park we’re staying at.

Great day out and can’t wait to tackle the other Whyalla power trail tomorow.

Hi there Tweety2.

We found your cache **"Railway Terrace No.2"** at 11:04:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 13854.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the local area today. We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then take a route mainly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Todays plan was to attempt the "Cleve Cleaver" trail, and of course we also had to find this one. It's not part of the trail so it deserves a finely crafted log, instead of one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails.

We ended up finding 42 & DNFing 0 caches today. Wink

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most of the trail caches were between 5 & 10 metres from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Off on a caching adventure with GoodLook on the Easter long weekend!! We had perfect weather and, for the route we were taking, surprisingly little traffic! Our target was the Cleve Cowell area althouth we started way before this. Our biggest challenge was the lack of anything open, apart from roadhouses, on the Friday and Saturday!!
Found after a very long search. A little concerned that this is still (going by the shiny rails) an active rail line.

26-Mar-16
PLEASE BE CAREFUL HERE - CP thinks this train track is still in use.

Finding this cache took us a while, CP put his hand on it when we were about to leave.

Found whilst on a fabulous Easter long weekend caching trip with CPwanderer travelling from Adelaide to the Eyre Peninsula.

Today has been filled with much of the same as yesterday - fun, laughter and lots of crazy caching adventures [^] ....as well as flies (that were very friendly and seemed to like riding in the air conditioned car with us), HUGE and hungry ants (ouch!), a large nest of spiky caterpillars, cute little kangaroos and even having a close call with a DEATH ADDER SNAKE - keep in mind I was with CP!! Thanks for the cache Tweety2 Smile

DNF at 10:36 AM. We spent ages looking for this cache, but in the end we believe that if it is under that bridge, then it is not hidden in accordance with Groundspeak guidelines regarding hiding caches near train tracks - 10 metres away is the rule.

Three of our number searched for this one for about 20 minutes. We were just about to give up when a railway maintenance vehicle clattered into view, confirming our decision. This line is still active! Our thanks anyway to Tweety2.

Work bought us to Elliston and Lock this day and after we finished work it was time to slowly make our way home grabbing caches along the way, we finally got home at 3am but managed 49 caches on the return journey you don't come all this way without visiting as many caches as you can very little wildlife was seen except 1 roo in the middle of the road and a couple on the side, a few rabbits and a bunch of mice, this one had us going around in circles for a while until geowife calls out "found it" damn that's a tricky hide lol. What an awesome weekend! JLWE at Cleve Cool
Dennisc52 was kind enough to allow me to travel with him and throughout the weekend, I found 54 or maybe 55 caches (along with also beta testing in situ a 35 cache meat cleaver) and attended 4 events Smile

This cache took us a while to find and we were about ready to give up when Dennis finally gave the shout 'found it'. [^]
