Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
Found on way back from a trip to Melbourne, then after getting home, forgot to log the find, OLDTIMERS setting in, but as I have just had the memory kick into gear, I will happily LOG the find, Thanks Team Beaufort, for the hide, which is in good condition
On a road trip and caching holiday with Captainkirky. What a trip this has been, not only finds were good, some of the views were outstanding along my trip. Doing the geotour in Ballarat was awesome, the finds for some of them were very interesting. On this part of our trip we are now heading home, along the way finding caches including this one.
Normally when we go geocaching we always wear long pants. You would be amazed how often you dont realise how many times youve been cut and scratched until you jump in the shower. This morning we were driving home from Goondiwindi to Redcliffe and after being in Orange for a week, we were happy to have our shorts back on. This meant we couldnt just run into the long grass all guns blazing like we normally would. When I say we wear long pants, I mean hiking pants not jeans. They are light and cool and actually make for a cracking experience when you are having sexy time in caching pants. tftc
Stopped for this cache while traveling back to Brisbane.

Got deployed to South West Queensland for the ongoing Fire emergency out there. Spent a week out there but had a travel day to and from with no time restrictions. Managed to grab all of these from Toowoomba to Dalby, then Goondiwindi back to Toowoomba.
All in good condition signed on a little space. Dodged a brown snake on the highway, I love the outback! Getting even closer to home!
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **Team Beaufort**

A trip to Perth checking out some of the awesome places along the way in ACT, NSW, Qld and NT. Grabbing some old caches and missing LGAs. TFTC.
Nice quick find though I ended up parking on the other side of the wild dog fence. A tree twig scraped across my eyeball as I finished signing. Ouch. Can still see ok, so all good.

My son and I New Year trip turn into drive into NSW and beyond. Today was more about driving. I found 9 today with few DNF. Oh well they do happen.
The breakdown was a mystery, community event, traditional, multi and adventure lab.
Sorry for the generic log.

Heading west with the gang for a burger ... and a few old caches. I know about this fence through work so it was a great find for me to see it in person - and a bonus cache to boot.
Thanks Team Beaufort for entertaining me at this location.

A group of us had made a plan. We actually made it much earlier in the year (when I say “we”, I mean Ponchomon11), however our plans were flooded out when much of Queensland was. So we rescheduled and the gang got together this weekend to make those plans come to fruition.
An early start for us all had everyone except for SaintsMadHouse meeting up at 9am in Pittsworth. We then convoyed our way to our end destination with a number of obligatory stops for older caches along the way.
Well this is certainly a better fence than the old Rabbit Proof one!
Cache was quickly located at the likely hiding spot. Then a photo or two taken of the fence (no dogs in sight today) .
Thanks for the cache Team Beaufort.

An easy find in a likely spot. I nearly took a baby cactus in the leg at one point so be careful. A shady spot for lunch before heading on.
We made a quick find here after getting back on the highway. Thanks for the cache
Just a typical day in Ankh Morpork. The smell of the turgid river drifts over the docks and through the Shades. Miscreants are miscreanting, ladies of negotiable affection are negotiating and the watchmen are just trying to find a quiet place for a smoke. Life is good.
Munna Culla Snack Ninjas are off to QOGM…
It’s PirateLinda at the wheel, Giraffe18 up front, which leaves 2ManyTrailers and I to fight over the armrest in the back…
Technically this cache wasn’t on the list… we may have missed the turn off to St George… twice…
So now we’re going by Goondiwindi…
It’s always good to collect an oldie, even if the driver overshoots GZ…

This weekend, to celebrate a birthday, I am embarking on a ~1400km roadtrip through New South Wales with my Dad. A lot of rain in South-East Queensland meant the itinerary got reversed and we came down via Grafton. So today, after a night in Moree, we're headed briefly south before aiming for home reasonably directly.
As it turns out, this was the last geocache of the trip. Initially, it was meant to be the second. But then with the reverses itinerary, second last. But after finding this, in Millmerran, we'd learn that the Condamine had cut the highway to Toowoomba. We took a chance and got home via Inglewood and Warwick, but for a long time, we contemplated if we'd be in a motel tonight. We weren't, but it was late getting home to Brisbane.
Really, this was an excellent geocache to end on. Never mind that I overshot it, and had to U-turn. But we could pull safely off the road and wander about admiring this construction. The "longest structure in the world", I believe. In the next field was a mob of cows too. No camels today. What a quiet place to be. Plenty of photos were taken. And, without Dad noticing I'd ducked away, I found the geocache. Thanks for this geocache, Team Beaufort

We were right on top of it at one point, but couldn't find it. but, it was pretty cool to see the camels in the paddock on the other side of the barrier fence.
More of the long grass. I fetched a tool to remove the lid. TFTC Team Beaufort.
On my way home from the QOGM and continuing my outback adventures. Today it was leaving Goondiwindi heading up the Gore Highway to Toowoomba and then a slight detour to Highfields before a straight drive home to Brisbane. I had a list of caches to collect and places to see, some oldies and some for a grid position.
Next on the list was this one and easy find and with log signed and cache replaced as found we were off to the next one. Thank you for placing this one here, I’ve heard my dad talk about the dingo fence and I’ve seen it further north, I just didn’t realise it went so far. Thanks for the information.

I have seen the barrier fence at other parts of it, particularly where it is along the border of NSW and Queensland and South Australia. The gates look very similar. We also found a few Golden Orb Weaver Spiders. Their webs shone with the gold. The cache was away from both of these, hidden very well, but easily found by experienced geocachers.
This was the first cache today of a 613km round trip today. Trying to find all the caches in the Millmerran, to Goondiwindi, Yelarbon, Inglewood, and Leyburn circle. Very happy that we found every single one so I don't have to do the trip again to avenge a DNF

Very interesting spot and we learnt something new as we didn't know the barrier fence existed here. Logged find and replaced as found. TFTC
Such an interesting place to stop and to find this fence and border. We knew a rabbit proof fence existed, however we had no idea there was a wild dog border fence. We took a few photos as this is quite an undertaking – to make a fence as long as this one.
A favourite added.
Thanks

Homeward bound from QOGM2019 and collecting caches along the way. Stopping for the caches makes the drive go along much quicker. Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches and making the trip much safer.
Stopped and parked the car. Walked over to GZ where cache was found. Second time I have seen the Wild Dog Fence in 2 weeks. TFTC Giving FP
A quick stretch of the legs with a cache before Genghicat and I continue our southward trip. Cache was found in good condition. Tftc
Was impressed as we drove towards this one to see a muggle on the side of the road picking up rubbish. Didn't look like a worker and suspect it was just some good Samaritan.
Once at GZ the container was a quick find although it took a bit to open - maybe it was childproof!!!
We have cached at the dog fence before and we often wonder how effective it is. There was a ute heading down towards GZ and it looked like the muggle in it was checking the fence so perhaps it works.
Thanks.

need 9 hidden month caches to finish my AUSmer challenges, 9 D/Ts to finish my fizzy grid but priority to the AUSmers.
A 4013 km trip from Brisbane to the Mega in Wooloongong.
5 states/ territories in 5 and a bit days to finish off a few challenges.
Qld, NSW, Victoria, a loop into South Australia then back across Victoria to the ACT and finally the Mega in Wooloongong.
CHALLENGE/ why?
No challenges, I just liked the name. I also like dingoes even though they have a bad rep.
This cache was first cab off the rank and a quick park and grab.
All well here.

Hi there Team Beaufort. Today was a driving day - between Goondiwindi and Toowoomba. This cache was a quick find along the way and the container and the log are dry and quite useable. SL, TN, LN. Thanks to Team Beaufort for this cache - our find #6718.
Yaaay!! I'm off on my Brisbane trip. Sad to be leaving my lady and her kids. I shall have to cheer myself up with geocaching ...
I've done some pocket queries and some research on the results. I'm trying to meet lots of targets for Professor Rapidly Wild's UGC series at home, so I'm seeking :
Two caches placed in 2000 - none found so far
One cache placed in 2001 - none found so far
119 caches of size "Regular" - Thirteen found, so far
20 caches of size "Large" - One found so far
One letterbox in Qld - none found so far
One letterbox in NSW - none found so far
Any puzzles and multicaches I can reasonably find.
I've located enough caches to find on this trip on this trip to complete all but the last target. So we'll see how I go. I don't know why, but I'm tired today. I thouhgt I slept well, but I needed lots of coffee to get me started. Hmm. Probably the same fence I ran across in 2016 while cachig around Stanthorpe. The one was a convenient half hour or so from the last cache, so I haven't had to stop in between. After finding the cache (easy) and walking the dogs a bit, I did another limber up. and off I go.
Day 1, Monday - 12 in total, including five "Regular" sized caches.
Day 2, Tuesday - 16 in total, including one "Large" and eight "Regular" sized caches
Day 3, Wednesday - 21 in total,
Find no 1 of 18 today.
Thanks, Team Beaufort

So many barriers to get to this cache . . . . oh hey! you can park on the other side . . . . . Found the cache with no trouble . . . and to the person who left the bone, cool cache marker! TFTC Team Beaufort.
As per other logs, we missed the first turning for this one, so decided to reverse down the gravel road and .... oh bugger Who put that barbed wire fence across the track!!! We now had a disgruntled Mitsi with a cracked windscreen from a passing road-train and a badly scratched rear wing!!! Its all good fun going on a road trip. Anyway, after a short walk to GZ (and to cool down) the cache was soon found. TFTC Team Beaufort
We have not been out geocaching in quite some time and I have just relocated our missing GPS'r. I am finally getting around to log caches stored on it we have previously found. Thanks for the hunt
TFTC. We were moving on from Goondiwindi to Millmerran as our overnight stop. Tried a cache early but there was no signal. Grrr. Got a signal and made sure we kept this in memory. Quick find at the barrier fence.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you Team Beaufortfor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Considering i was looking for this one in the dark with a torch it didn't take too long to find. I did what most other people have done and overshot the entrance when coming from the south so got stuck on the wrong side of the fence but once i was on the right side it was all good.

Returning home to Toowoomba from Goondiwindi we decided to grab the three older ones south of Millmerran. We overshot the parking spot slightly. Pulling up 100m away we decided to walk only to discover a fence from the road to the barrier fence. So back to the car...a U-turn...and pulled up near GZ. Mr E spotted a tell tale sign and after a bit of a tussle with the container we had ourselves a log. TFTC Team Beaufort.
