A quick find before work. The log is full but I managed to find a little bit of space to get my name on there. TFTC

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. With torrential rain this morning we stayed home until after lunch. Then out pottering around the suburbs picking off a few more AdLabs. With very little sunshine spotting any hanging or fishing caches had a higher difficulty than normal today.Solved this without any help, so glad to be able to locate the cache today. Log is full, but we wrote over some ink that had smudged.TFTC wink. inc Cool

Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time, and space in the logbooks, or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache Briony33!

Found this during a fantastic weekend away at the Canberra Mega, with gridge98, Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite. The log books were either signed with the name ABP or our individual caching names. Was an excellent Mega, grateful to be part of it!

I found this cache on a trip from Adelaide to attend the Capital GeoBash Mega event in Canberra over Easter.Today I teamed up with FeatherWaite, Team Waldron, gridge98, CourtneyRose and Davidwazza. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks Briony33 for the puzzle and the cache.

Its been a while since I first solved this one, and a while since I first looked for it too. The sneaky micro eluded me then but it did not this time. The spoiler(ish) photos helped. The puzzle is solid although I fear the basis of the technique used is becoming less and less well known day by day. Such is the way technology goes I suppose. The log is full. I filled up the last numbered spot so time for a new one. Collected this one after doing some more shopping, so the cache fit the bill well. Cheers wink. inc Smile--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. A puzzle I was capable of solving. A tricky little hide but found, signed and returned.

Thanks for the Mystery Cache wink. inc Smile

16-Jun-23
Clever hide and clever puzzle! Solved this one awhile ago and stopped by here a few months ago with Baristayan for an unsuccessful look.

We decided to return on a chilly, late Friday night (just after the sprinklers had been churning for quite awhile it seemed!) but there were no muggles about and we could settle in for a proper search. Excellent coordinates! Finally spotted the cheeky little fella, and was able to extract without disturbing the local arachnid population thanks for the cache!

Found with Buckoraider on a very cold night!
This sneaky cache almost defeated us again!
It’s quite small and tricky to find but we got there in the end.

A quick find, just avoided the rain. TFTC

07-Jun-23
Although the puzzle was easily solved aeons ago, I have looked for this without success every time I am near this particular shopping precinct. Today with a bunch of us having another crack at it, SC found it without issue. Moral of the story: always bring a friend while caching!

Thanks, wink. inc.

07-Jun-23
I was not expecting to find this one but SC found it relatively quickly even before the rest of us had time to start which was really, really annoying.

Moral of the story is - bring him along but only let him out our of the car once you have had a chance to find it first. Truth be told - it was a tricky hide although spot-on GZ. Think that the light of the day plays a big part in locating this one. TFTC wink. inc.

#3930 I had been watching this listing since our recent DNF. Then today got a notification of an easy find.
I couldn’t resist the almost immediate PAF who was kind enough to provide us with a solid hint.
Zipped back out with DeadThief this afternoon and located the cache in a spot we’re both sure we thoroughly checked.
That’s caching I suppose, sometimes you struggle and sometimes it almost falls into your hands.
Thanks winc. inc for placing this cache and to my PAF caching mates.

12-May-23
No luck for DeadThief and I this afternoon. Based on previous photos we know we were in the right spot but couldn’t find it. 30 minute search then ran out of daylight.

It was suggested I tackle this from the inside but it’s easier from the outside. Solved awhile back but never the right time. Today I made time. Looked but could not find it so left. Came back later and got it from the outside.

Thanks for getting me out and about Briony33

I attempted this yesterday evening when there were still a few people around. Feeling very suspicious, I scampered after a fairly brief search before anyone called the Federal Police.

I did some additional reconnaissance work poring through previous logs, and found a hint that allowed me to make the grab quickly tonight.

TFTC!

Of course I couldn't give up, my weekend off for any other reason than Geocaching. With four Geo-events at Canberra and a bonus friend’s party Saturday night meant that is where I'm headed. It was a great weekend full of fun, dancing, catching up with friends and finding many Geocaches along my travels. This was one of the caches or events, I found (or DNF) or attended at some point over the weekend. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO's of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. Big Grin TFTC's and TFTE's! Big Grin

After night Church in Tuggy, I was kind of driving past this one so after a quick detour I headed to GZ and after a long search I found this nasty hide. I'm glad to have finally taken this one off the to-find-list.

I finally managed to put my fingers on this one after solving the puzzle ages ago. I had to abort previous attempts when muggles started to hang around.
Today was very busy, but I think that meant that people were paying less attention to others.

After doing some shopping for some much needed items, I came out here for the cache. I’d solved the puzzle many months ago, before I moved to Canberra in January. I got my hands the container just as the sun was setting, which made sense for the colour scheme. Thanks for the cache winc. inc!

Today I desperately wanted a multi and a mystery for my calendars and as I was over at Costco for fuel I decided that this would be the mystery to go for. An easy enough solve and I was on my way. As I approached GZ I was apprehensive that I might not be able to grab it from this dide but all was good thanks to a hint that I read in an earlier log. 09-Mar-20
Was needing to be close by so had a quick look before leaving home at what caches might be in the area. A quick solve and then as it ended up we did manage to find the time to swing past. A busy place and lots of people leaving right by so reverted to the photo hint which narrowed it down to a likely location. Still took some searching and managed to get my fingers on it and the sign complete. Thanks for the cache wink.inc.

A case of what's not there implying what is gave us the numbers from the numbers. Today we searched for a while and just as I was starting say "I've checked everywhere that my fingers will reach", I reached what we needed. Thanks wink. inc

One of the latest of my solved puzzles, and I thought I was at the wrong spot, as my phone had me at a nearby sign post. My coordinates have been out a lot lately though so I checked out the photos. Yes correct area, wrong spot, but very nearby. I proceeded in a methodical search finding a small magnet in the process. Owner has been here so must be here. Keep looking until at last it was found. Cache is in good condition. Tftc

Knowing that we were coming to Queanbeyan to attend the mega our puzzle solving group got their heads together and worked on some of the local puzzles.

As it turned out we only managed to look for a few of the finals and this one wasn't even planned. While the boys were out touring The Brindebella's the girls from maccamob and The Drovers joined me on a trip to the Factory outlets and before we left we looked to see what was our closest cache and sure enough this one popped up.

With three sets of eyes it didn't take too long to locate the little blighter even with it's missing magnet and we soon were adding our initials to the log.

Thanks wink.inc for a solvable puzzle and for the hide.

21-Apr-19
Decided to do one on the way back to the MEGA with muzza this was it. We were struggling a little until we found the spoiler photos. The container has become detached from its magnet.

21-Apr-19
Finally the Mega is here in Queanbeyan. Today we joined forces with Robmc and Betty Boo and headed for the hills collecting a few along the way.

We stopped here to buy some lunch and collected this little blighter as well. It is no longer magnetic so I'm not sure how much longer it will survive.
Thanks for contributing to the fun wink. inc

On my solved list of puzzles in the Canberra region, I popped in to look for this one today. I was able to park extremely close, and after looking in two incorrect places, spotted the cache a few metres away. It was actually harder to retrieve than it looked, but for safety I think it was in the correct location. Nice peaceful spot for signing. TFTC, wink. inc. =^.^=

##Today was the first day of caching in Canberra on my own, with my travelling buddies Dez (JezNDez) and Lennondayz29 having flown back to Brisbane yesterday. With plenty of caches on my to-do list for today and a couple of seminars at the Mega on my agenda for later in the day, an early start was required to fit it all in.

I had driven past this location in the past couple of days but GZ was far too busy to find a park, let alone search, Today being a public holiday the area was completely deserted. No problem finding a park and no pesky muggles to worry about. The cache was actually dislodged from its hiding spot as the magnet is detaching from the container. I had to resort to the spoiler photo which allowed me to find the cache eventually. TFTC

I was in Queanbeyan with my boyfriends family, As I've not cached before, I signed some logs of the caches I found with XC, until I came up with my caching name.

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.

This afternoon we were out with Di Morgan grabbing a few close to the event. Had some fun and laughs along the way. Got here and found hide after only a short search. Log is full and we didn't even have a reciept to us as paper to replace it. Hopefully the next person will.

Thanks wink. inc for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Found, more later

edit: So, the family have gone off for the morning so I can make use of it and go and fix up my Wherigo which---yet again--- has a mysterious puzzle cache blocking my hide. Sorted that out and I thought I may as well continue on with my A-Z tours (I was up to P), P coordinates grabbed I had to continue along to 'Q' and though I may as well do some work on my Canberra Mapping Challenge cache along the way..... anyway, long story short... 4 hours later I finally got to my second A-Z tours hide...

n paste section>

Ohhh, the previous log, and the first 2 minutes of nothing made me think this was long gone.... but thankfully I have long fingers and I searched quite far from where the spoiler indicated.... and I just managed to touch it, but couldnt get it. I look around and find an appropriate tool and start working away with that. After another minute, I hear it clang to the bottom and sure enough I could drag it out. Very happy to make my mark on this one and I put it back exactly where the spoiler indicated, not where I found it. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Oh my goodness... how frustrating.

This was a DNF for me back in 2011. I picked it up afresh today because we were heading out this way, solved the puzzle again (coz I'd completely forgotten it), rocked up to GZ - NO CACHE! You're kidding me, again!

This time, I even resorted to the photos, including the last resort photo, and still - NO CACHE!

Either this is extraordinarily well hidden, or perhaps it's gone? Beginning to doubt my caching abilities tho'.

Sad

I like straight forward puzzles that I can work out and so was the find at GZ. There were a number of muggles around, but they came and left with no issues. Tftc!!!

Reasonably quick find, considering!
Amazing to notice that this cache is nearly 9 years old!Surprised
Having been in Canberra for quite a few years, I have the subjective feeling that The DFO ( now called Canberra Outlet centre) was built relatively recently.
Apparently it was built in 2008, the same year as this cache was placed!WinkWinkWink
I recall there was some seriously dodgy business involving the ACT government and rezoning of the area right after it was auctioned. This meant that the government literally gave away millions of ACT tax payer dollars to the original developer (Austexx). In 2012 the DFO was placed into receivership and offered for sale. It was renamed the Canberra Outlet Centre in 2013 but no announcement of a buyer has been made to date!
I suspect that dodgy business continues TwistedTwistedTwisted, but I would not blacklist the businesses that now operate in the complex on this basis.
Thanks For The Cache and the memories, wink. inc CoolCoolCool

I should mention that it appears that the 'log strip' of this nano has been shortened by tearing more than half of it off! There is still room for a few logs only and I would suggest that to help out, a future visitor could bring a suitable replacement strip with them. Of course they should send a photo of the old strip to the CO if they remove it!

A good cache to find if you're around the area. My first mystery cache and probably the smallest log I've signed!

Fresh of the plane from Brisbane, I had a few solved puzzles on the list to grab as I made my way to the hotel.

Nice and quiet here this afternoon and with only the odd muggle puttin in an appearance, I was free to hunt. At GZ, the container was quickly located and my name was added to the log. Coast all clear, the cache was dropped back and I hit the road.

Cheers wink.inc.

Challenge: Get 50 different D/T combos in one day, just in the ACT. Day started before 5:30am and finished after 9:30pm, with 52 different D/Ts, 7 different cache types, completed by car, by bike, by kayak, by foot and even climbing trees. A long, but rewarding day, well supported by TikvaNZ, who also completed his 3rd DT loop.

This was #3 of 52. I'd figured this out a while ago and had kept it in reserve to log. Before dawn, I drove by and collected. Nobody around. TFTC wink. inc
