Our last day in the area before we head home tomorrow. A beautiful day to find some more caches here. Found with Earthlight and Shandyk, and signed the log EGS. TFTC.
Great little multi with the jnr Wombat. Quite chuffed with herself for finding it.
Our first full day in Mildura and after a quite cool night some beautiful Autumn weather has been really turned on. Blue skies and warm sunshine. We are staying a bit out of town but with quite a number of well-favourited caches nearby in the bushland and a variety of types we thought we would head out amongst them and try our luck. They were located along a range of bush tracks amongst the scrub so while dusty, fun to drive. Sadly no emus of kangaroos were spotted today to add to the fun.It truly was a great day caching with a fun range of gadget caches added into the mix. We awarded quite a few favourites to celebrate them, especially as we managed to solve them all.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache doheng.**SKI Pair****

Well my trip up to QOGM started a couple of weeks ago and I took the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, The Tritonz and Roaming Howie finally joined me and we did the puzzle trail. Then a fun first muster day to Muttaburra and back then a great tea event and a few more caches.A trip to Stonehenge and back again for them. The second muster day and boy what a busy day as there was a lot going on in the car with everything we had to do.Collect trads, look at photos, find some forks and then some property numbers as well. The Mexicans as we were called teamed up with a couple of other cars The Morris and Pool Pool to have a lot of fun over the radio.Well all the caches have been found and after another great dinner event QOGM has officially finished. This was my first QOGM and I had a great time, but all good things must come to end and today I must start heading towards home but Im also taking the very long way around back to Victoria. So this was state # 4 for me on this trip.Roaming Howie is joined me on part of the Strzelecki track and left me at Camerons Corner.I continued on down the track and and eventually reached the black stuff again and stayed at Copley then Wentworth. The question for the day is will I reach Melbourne or make my holiday last one more night. So after finding a few more of the great gadget series and others around the back blocks the decision was made that I wont be home tonight.Visited the airport and another reason to come back one day to visit the museum.A great memorial to Ad they were called the Fly Boys. Thanks doheng TFTC.
A very fitting monument to lost RAAF personnel. Did the numbers and found your cache doheng . Dropped off TB tftc

Today was our second day adventuring together in the district. Out to tackle the Paddlesteamer and as many other amazing caches as we can with a lovely bunch of Canberra friends! Always fantastic to be able to get away for a long weekend of caching together. Loved the red dust and the crazy caching trails. Thanks for all the hard work from COs make and maintain these caches. Called our trip the Mildura May Adventure so signed as MMA or MMA23 today. Great to be caching with you KLSARC, GLISS! Albida33, Kittykatch, Barb2e, Joolay, Tankengine, DTY73 and youban. Thanks for a great weekend everyone. Thanks for the cache.

After a lovely walk around Lake Hawthorn this morning, we decided to do some drive by caching in the middle of the day since the temperatures are so hot.
We took a drive to the airport and gathered the information needed for this multi.
It was then another drive to GZ, where we were able to park the car within a metre or two of the Hide.
Log signed; this multi was a lovely way of highlighting the memorial statue near the airport.
Thanks doheng

#16764 - 6:35:00 PM; After spending the night in Mildura on the way home from South Australia after collecting the geomobile with Sol de lune, today we set out to collect some of the caches in the area we didn't pick up on previous visits. We managed a good variety of caches and cache types as we made our way around the city and then further afield in our quest. All caches were found in good order considering the recent weather conditions and were returned as found once we had signed the log. No problems collecting this one towards the end of our mission, having done the calculations a little earlier. TFTC doheng
Out this way with LuckyL10n before heading back to Canberra and we hit up this line of caches before heading back to our accomm. Another multi and again no issues finding this one, although the fun around the monument seems a bit of a waste.
Thanks for another one doheng....

It was easy enough to find this container after arriving with goingplaces2. Log was signed and all was put back as found. TFTC.
Travelling along with ilook4geo and took a detour to do this multi cache. There were no problems in working out the new co-ords and we were soon off to find the container. The log was stamped and we then continued on our way. Thanks for this cache placement go to doheng.
Did the start of this last night but getting a bit dark so completed it this morning.
Thanks, nice multi.
Thanks, nice multi.
Full time nomads visiting Mildura to finally tackle the Paddle Steamer with iluvtrekking. Of course we have to stop in town and find some caches here before we go 'bush'. Great weather and a fun day out today, good company with lots of laughs and ooh ahhh at the clever caches we found. Plenty of fave point to give out today.
Glad to convert our previous sad face to a smilie today.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful day and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
After a big day day yesterday for international geocaching day we explored of the area with Mattycat and Perfect Di, always love a good multi and the locations you get to explore, another great multi for us to work through late in the day and to the sound of jet engines in the distance

Wandered off with Purrfect Di [:X] , and met up with the Froghoppin duo [^] [^] and a whole bunch of other crazy cachers around the place too. Saw some sights, cached three states, and ate a whole lot of pub and cafe meals! Found far fewer mint tins than usual - gold star to Vic and NSW for that one!!!
Happy Geocaching Day weekend!
Getting late but we couldn't resist a few on this side of town. Numbers crunched and away we flew!
Much thanks to doheng for locating and maintaining this cache on our VIC geo-map

Wandering the countryside - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck
Heaps of that luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Caution! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Truly fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Spending a few days in Mildura, joined by the rest of the Goldy clan for a family getaway.
We've been coming here since our first visit in 2008, it's a Goldy family favourite so I'm excited for the opportunity to find a few geocaches here and in some of the surrounding towns.
I'm also looking forward to experiencing some different hides in another state, as all my finds so far have been in South Australia.
I won't be able to get to all the caches due to having other plans with family, family always comes first.
So a high majority of caches on the "to be found" list are ones where I can learn local history and ones that are relatively quick and easy.
I've been primarily eyeing off the turtle series geoart and adventure labs.
After gaining the required numbers I set off on the short drive to GZ.
Cache was an easy find with everything in good condition.
Put my signature in the log book and returned the cache to its hiding spot.
Signed as "P.Goldy"
Thanks to dogeng for this cache.

Found the multi cache at 3:55pm. We went to the airport and found the monument. Quickly added up the numbers for the way points. Bit disappointed the RAAF museum was closed. Might come again on Friday. Drove to the coordinates and found the cache. Spot on Coordinates. TFTC
When we were in the area in November 2019 we collected the data for this multi. However we could not find the cache and later learnt that was missing. We out the cache on watch and notices some time later that the cache had been replaced. So looking for Fly Boy was on our agenda for this trip and we had success. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find pf a well presented and placed cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks doheng (and 4Moule) for the cache and its replacement.

In Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and The Empire.
After finishing off the GOT series it was time for Me to do the turtle series, it was a little challenging getting to some locations but I managed to get them all done.
The highlight for the day were the fantastic gadget caches in the area.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA.
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
After completing the PS series we split up as The Drovers had already done the ones we were about to do.
We still signed the logs as either The Mob or put our initials in the logs.
There were a lot of different kinds of hides here which really good. Nice to have something a little different.
No issues with this multi and quick find at GZ.
Thanks for the placement and maintenance of this cache doheng

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
Was day 3 of our trip away and today we were back out to finish off the PS Series with "The Mob" consisting of GoodLook, The Drovers, FurfacesLL, LiB and myself. We managed to get heaps done yesterday so only needed a couple hours out on these today then The Drovers went off to do some caches they had left unfound whilst the rest of us went to do some around Mildura/Red Cliffs that they had already found.
A lovely memorial and a great simple multi to suit. No issues with the hide.
Thanks for the hides doheng And thanks to "The Mob" for a trip to remember [^].

FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, LíB and myself found a number of caches outside of the Paddle steamer and Turtle Series whilst in the area.
Most of the caches are stamped as The Mob (consisting of The Drovers, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, and myself), however a handful contain our own caching names or initials.
2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip was spontaneously planned and I was able to pull together a number of my caching friends who hadn't cached together before to form "The Mob".
LíB and I started in SA, drove to Victoria and ended our trip in SA; FurfacesLL and Rapidlywild came from Canberra and The Drovers began their journey from NSW; and then a few days later, feathertop from Victoria, joined us to complete the On Your Bike Series and other caches in SA.
We filled our days with piling in cars, hard core caching, Adventure Labs, crazy funny CB radio chatter, some laughter, some tense moments (OMG some of the ladder and tree climbs on this trip were crazy!), lots of lovely meals and even live music from a band called "Kung Fu Jesus" - nope, that is no joke.
We had hot weather each day (well into 30s), so I am thrilled that I now own a car fridge to keep the drinks icy cold (loving them at about 1 degree celcius).
A sincere thanks to doheng for placing this cache.

Two of us spent a long time solving all the puzzles in the Turtle and Paddle Steamer series along with the other puzzles around Mildura, but they were put away waiting for the time when we could get over to find the caches.
We had a very busy weekend and managed to find all of the Turtle and Paddle Steamer caches along with some of the high favourited caches, an Adventure Lab, one night cache, quite a few gadget caches and a couple of water caches...and then we ran out of time.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time finding lots of different caches and we will have to make a return trip to find those that we didn't get around to.
All caches stamped "Mystery Randoms" [^]

A group of South Australians jumped to border in to Victoria for the long weekend. The group was Allister W, JJ52, Mogni, Sir_spectre, and BratKat. All logs stamped as " Mystery Random's ". We left Adelaide and headed over to Mildura. The target for the puzzlers was to clear the highway caches then complete the " Turtle series " and the " Paddle Steamer series " since they had solved all the puzzles before coming over. My target was the D5/T5 underwater field puzzle and also hoping to get up to 13000 finds this trip ( that was achieved ). Once those goals where filled we mainly targeted caches with high favourite points and started on the many multi's that are in Mildura. I highly enjoyed the field puzzles and themed caches from the locals and sorry to say that we only did 1 of the night caches. On the 2nd night after doing 356 caches during the day it bucketed down that night and we had a beer/wine or two instead. We will be back, maybe not this year, but it will be the sooner, not later.

Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.
We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.
We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity.
It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!
***Generic Log unless something special above this line.***
I have seen a T shirt with Sleep Eat Cache Repeat [^] Well a four day trip to Mildura with caching friends Team Waldron, E.gregory and FeatherWaite certainly fit that bill. Logs were signed with initials only for the teams - BEFW
Up at daybreak, quick breakfast and cache all day stopping only to have a snack whilst out on the trails, rush to set up camp near dusk for a meal, then perhaps some night caching, early night and REPEAT!
Strategic camping at Kings Billabong, Rocket lake and The Common meant we were close by the Geoart and target night caches. Two previous trips in 2013 and 2016 by me and some by E.gregory meant we visited some (well quite a few actually) previous finds but that made it quick for the people that hadn't found them previously.
I can't thank the CO's of these caches enough as some were really very inventive. Even having solved most puzzles before we came we were confronted with field puzzles and gadgets that were just mind boggling. [:X][:X][:X]
***Thanks doheng for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Caching in Mildura today after deciding it might be way too hot to go out again to try and complete the Paddle Steamer series. I am a big fan of the airport related caches, and it was good to have a fossick around this airport before going to the final destination.
We entered the airport cautiously to attack the Fly Boys but realised it was ok to enter once we were there. Great statue that gave us everything we needed.
At GZ we were nicely surprised to find the type of container used in this placement.
Thanks doheng for the interesting multi.

Love looking for and finding caches that are over 10 years old. Thanks for placing this and maintaining it for so long.
The necessary details were obtained and after a brief chat with the authorities, we were on our way. Thanks for the cache and an interesting multi.

Continuing my first caching adventure with OzHockeyChick, Papi4506 & GeoTurtle37 and a mega adventure it is! Last day in town nabbing a few caches.
Visited the airport and had a quick chat with the local authorities who were wondering why we were stopped. They retold a story of having to rescue a bogged geocacher once before. All good and on our way for a quick find.
Thanks doheng for placing the hide!

Day five of a camping road trip with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & RoamingHowie.
With NSW now out of bounds, today we focussed on Mildura.
Gathered the info easily then headed back to gz to find the nice-sized cache.

Puzzle quickly solved and found the final stage on route back home. Nice little multi TFTC
Mildura, Day 3
This morning it was out to complete some more of the turtle trail. We stopped to locate a few other caches as we passed by. Today we found such a variety of caches, puzzles, multis & some clever gadget caches which we really enjoyed.

Suscoe was out and about again today wandering the raods, parks and bushland areas to the west, south and south east of MIldura.
We were travelling with Phetlern again and having a good bit of fun as we went along finding a very good range of caches.
It was a fairly cloudy day with a strong wind from the south and the clouds looked like they had a good bit of dust in them at times.
It was good to be caching on a coolish day, the flies seem to have been blown away and the sun peeped through every now and again.
Thanks to doheng for this hide, all good here today.
How good to see a St Arnaud Mega container in the field. First one that we have seen in the wild.

Data collection was straightforward. However when we got to GZ we found a very good hide location but it was bear. A check by the CO would be appreciated. Thanks anyway.
Given the 3 DNFs the cache appears to be missing. A check by the CO would be appreciated.
Unable to find the cache today. Found what appeared to be an obvious hide but there was no box today.
A simple multi, started and completed whilst nearby finding other cache.

Wazza9 & I enjoyed this multi, solved then off to find the container. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to doheng.
TFTC,
Today was intended to be a day of travel.
We did however, take the time to gather up a few important caches along the way.
Added a favourite and visited trackables going to the Clear Water MEGA.

A good way to start off the day - getting a smiley on a multi.

Loved this quick little multi. Found with The X-Trailers today. TFTC and a fav fav point.
Up in Mildura for the school holidays and managed to fit a bit of caching in around the other activities. After another multi bringing me out this was I figured I may as well collect the set and gather the clues for this one as well. A nice straightforward set of clues led to me calculating gz and after a short drive spotting the cache in good condition. Thanks for the cache doheng.
As we cached around Mildura today I picked up a few multis and this was one of them. It doesn't pay to tell Mr Beetle that the cache we are at is a multi until the last minute as he hates doing them. We have done a few ambiguous ones that have put him right off them.
Not this one though. You couldn't have got an easier multi than this one.
Just as well or we might have been visiting my memorial!!!!
Guess we crunched the numbers properly as we drove to a very suitable place for this one to finish and the cache was in the first place we checked.
Thanks.

We enjoyed doing this interesting little multi and fortunately for us we had the final co-ords spot on so cache was soon found in its good hiding spot.

Enjoyed checking out the Fly Boy and the short drive to get cache in hand. Thanks doheng
Here at the airport to pick up a lost bag.
We were a little bit to early and had a quick found.
The museum was closed.
Thank you for this Multi!

I had to work at the Mildura airport and this cache was a great way to finish my day. TFTC
I had never been to Mildura mainly because it is anlong way from home. But I wanted a holiday with my kids and we decided to fly from Melbourne which was great fun. The car rental was at the airport so I got up early while the kids slept and jogged out here. Solved the GZ but I was buggered so waited to get the car and made the short drive. Cache found im good condition. Thanks to doheng for placing this cache.
Out today with Bebetook3 for a few caches. Replaced container as it was broken.TFTC
Easy Cache, Easy to find. Always follow your instinct if you think a cache is in a certain spot haha!! TFTC!
West Australia 2016 trip. Day 2. Today was the drive from Balranald to Burra. Including Mildura, Renmark and Morgan. A long day with plenty of caches along the way.
Thanks.

Did this one last night. Easy one to find when the co-ordinates are correct. My 5 year old won't be happy that I snuck one in without him. Oh well. TFTC doheng.
Did this one with a friend of mine who is new to the hobby, by the time we got to this one he was already hooked and thinking like a cacher, walking up to GZ with about 30m to go we both looked at each other and like a scene from a rom-com we both said 'I bet it will be right there' at the same time. Then I noticed who hid the thing and my brain said to its self 'it wont be there you know' to which I agreed and walked past the cache. my friend, who doesnt know any better yet went with his instinct and had the cache in hand fairly quickly. He will learn quickly that not all your hides are this easy.
