Missed this cache last time I was in Griffith, due to it being 43 degrees and not keen on a walk, even if it’s not an overly long walk!
Today it much cooler, about 12 degrees from memory? Massive difference to December temps!
Unfortunately I hadn’t come prepared or read previous logs so the cache is still in dire need of repair. Uploaded a photo as proof of find
Thanks!

Found this one after ditching the car at the bottom of the track and made my way through to the gz by simply following my gps and scrub bashed it from there. Eventually l ended up at the gz and very quickly located the cache. As previous finders have mentioned the log book is too wet to sign and the hole in the lid is is not going to help the situation, l am only in town for for another hour or so and don’t have the time to replace the container and log book in a weather proof bag, would like to see this older cache to still be in play and if any future finders are heading this way maybe they could bring a replacement if possible. Managed to locate a bike path that took me the easier way out and wondered who actually brought in all the white gravel along these trails because it looks like it had to be wheeled in by wheel burrows, no thanks! Thanks for the hide and for bringing me here.
Found with the help of new yellow .....couldn't sign log book(wet) needs attention.....happy days .
Fun find! Took a bit of looking around. However it was a shame that the box had a crack in it so the inside was soaked and We couldn’t sign the log book. Shame but many thanks to the hider!
Caching in the area we found this one on the way.
Cache and contents were in good condition.

Heading south for the St. Arnaud event next month after leaving the QOGM in Blackall. Day 52 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 7 caches for the day and 1596 for the trip. TFTC
With a well-deserved day off work and nothing on until tonight, I took the opportunity to do some caching around Griffith and attempt some FTF’s that had popped up over the weekend. After checking the caches at the start of the day, there were still no finds on two of the three caches. Out of the 13 caches I wanted to find today and I turned 12 of them into a . I made 6 GC (includes 2 FTF’s) and 6 GCA finds today with 1 DNF. I also had 3 really enjoyable hikes though the bush with amazing views. Throughout my adventures today, I also stopped and had a look around ‘Hermit’s Cave’ which is a very interesting area. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring joy to me and others. TFTC’s and TFTTP’s
This cache was one of my 3 bush hikes today.

18,546. Found during a meander west of Wagga with specimenX.
Day 3 of our trip, and once breakfast and the local GCAs were out of the way we went for this one. Our dilemma was where to park and walk in from. We changed our minds a few times, then settled on one way and we were soon at GZ for the find. Lovely location for a morning walk.
Thanks Aggysaunt !!

On our travels from Brisbane down to Mount Buffalo we searched and found som Geocaches. Thanks to all owners for the Caches.
Thank you Aggysaunt for the geocache. Third time lucky and we found our first geocache! There was no pen so we are going to. Return since I am in my hometown and fix the container + leave a pen and a little something.
On the way to Canberra and detours.
Found it and signed the log as Everlasting or EV and thanks for the cache

Beautiful day for the geocaching trip. Nice easy strolling to the cache. Thanks Aggysaunt
A early morning cache finds me with a dilemma. Do I go further west or do I return and do a Wagga trail. Sigh the choices in caching. Lol. Having an enjoyable time on a quick westward weekend jaunt from Canberra. I found this cache in good condition. I didnt actually discover the walking track till I got to the cache. I did my normal thing of cutting straight through the bush. It's amazing how directions all become the same walking through this kind of bush. No wonder people get lost. Tftc
Our first find! Thank you. Left a pair of earrings. Will have to bring a better pen next time..
Our dilemma this morning was whether to start early on our way north to Cobar, or stroll through the bush to find this. Muggle Hubby said we’d be sitting down for a long time and we needed the exercise to get our hearts started. Consequently we found this very easy to locate cache, which put a smile on our faces as well as on our map.

Not being a local I just followed the GPS directly so bit of bush bashing was required for my walk to GZ. Obvious location spotted from a distance- threat tree. Left TB

Heading off on our long annual holiday, we stopped and found this cache. A nice walk with the dog, and nice to meet another cacher, Lennie & E. Enjoyed a chat before heading off. tftc.

A souvenir for today’s find. Like Don we had a dilemma which track to follow; myself, 2 geodogs, muggle partner and his blind sister. Going a little rough for the rest of the troops but made a quick find once we reached GZ. A fav for this one from Victorian visitors.
Visiting Griffith for the weekend watching daughter and son in law play hockey. Quick find for the Geocache virgins.
Found after a bit of rough track driving and a short bus walk. A quick find. TFTC.
While travelling in the area we located this cache. We took the short walk to GZ. There were lots of tracks once off the main road so could understand Dom's Dilemma. TFTC
Friends and I totally thought we were going to get stabbed but we found it and didn’t die, was lit. Shout out to the human that made this game it was our first time playing it and we loved it.
Enjoying myself at a State Caravan Rally at the Griffith Showground. There are approximately 100 caravans here.
Came up to find this cache while checking out Griffith's attractions.
Easy enough find. Signed log.
Thanks
Took the advice from a previous log and recorded a waypoint for where I left the car. It sure helped in finding my way back.

Find #185 3:40pm. Straight forward find after a trek through the scrub. Kept thinking I should've recorded the gps position of my geoCar in case I lost my bearings ... the area looks similar in all directions . No problem, found my car again
Right where it said it would be. Thankyou. Haven’t had a lot of luck with Griffith caches this weekend. Happy to actually find one!
A nice place to go for a walk on a day off. But the bigger spider near to the Cache wasn't that funny xo

Found by Mary & David at 1735. Poor Dom. We know that feeling of confusion. Where are/is my glasses/keys/handbag/phone. This will be our last for the day. Checked in to our motel, so will find somewhere for dinner next. Barked fairly close in the GeoPrado and found a good trail to GZ. Interesting place. Our thanks to malleechick.
Took c!og keyring and left bottle opener/torch keyring.
Thanks for the adventure and the cache.

After arriving in Griffith after dark last night, we took the opportunity early this morning to look around the district before heading off to Cobar. Unfortunately it had trained overnight and very black clouds in the west this morning promised more heavy rain. After parking the car at the start of the track to this cache, we headed off. Not long into the walk, rain started to fall very heavily and the very cold conditions (it was colder than Tassie!!) surprised us, but we kept going. Despite the rain and cold , it was a pleasant walk in an interesting area. Once at GZ, accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. With the rain, the track conditions were more slippery on the way back and we took a little longer to get back. Thanks malleechick for the cache and for bringing us to this area.
My grandad and I found this cache while on a learning road trip through western NSW - I was on my Ls and we decided to go for a weeks drive to improve my driving skills and experience on country roads.
Having stayed in Griffith for the night, we woke up, had brekkie and drove up the hill to have a go at this cache. Didn't find any tracks leading to GZ so we went straight through, bush bashing our way towards the cache. Can easily become disorientated in this type of bush. Nice first cache to start off the day. Now on the way back to Canberra. TFTC!

TFTF. Walked in from Scenic View#2. Very outback: kangaroos, goats, Magpies, spiders.
Really enjoyed the walk through the forest to GZ where I quite sympathised with Dom and his dilemma TFTC malleechick
Went for an early morning run to grab a couple of caches while I was staying in a motel on the Southern side of town all up a 12km circuit but I am glad I made the effort to come up here the view from the nearby lookout was worth it let alone being able to find a cache or two
I ended up going off track to the cache all the way from the road but I realised on the way back there was a clear track all the way from the nearby geocaching Australia trig point

Meandered my way to this one and after crossing a very damp area just before GZ made a quick find. Got a bit disorientated getting back but fortunately Mr Beetle had the music in the van going very loudly so I ended up heading towards that. The highlight of this walk was coming across the most beautiful fox. I was only about 20 metres from him and he wasn't aware I was there. I know they are a pest but they sure are impressive creatures. I said hello to him and that quickly sent him on his way. Thanks.
Took a while for us to find the correct track to be walking on. Left a trackable behind. TFTC
Nice walk in from the nearest point .
Plenty of roos about and a nice quick find.
Many thanks for the cache .

A nice walk in the Bush. Poor Dom!
Nice easy find. Didn't even have to check the map when I saw the GZ.

We have a few days to spend traveling from Bendigo to Stanthorpe for the Mega and we are going via Griffith, Cobar, Lightening Ridge and Moree.
Today we wandered along the scenic drive collecting a few caches. No dilemma for us - we found all the right tracks.

That's a nice cache in the middle of the reserve.
