I have been watching this one for some time and noticed C/O is away in WA. I replaced this one because of the GC games coming and international geocaches will only follow. Been my last unfound cache on this side of the spit I thought it'll be a good idea just to put this spot back into play- today with #2-#3 geobratz in toe while geowife is getting her hair done it was the best time to replace. The cache is small in size with a new log book and swap the container is sealed so next finder will be able to brake the seal for the first time I email the CO lady night to let them know what my plans are so from today this cache is good to go: hint (base of tree) please watch who is watching you before grabbing this one replace with cover.

Not a user friendly spot currently being used as a toilet spot by the Long weekend visitors and boaties.
Did my best to bury their @#$%t but I guess that the next person will head here for the same purpose. After the clean up decided that I would be lot safer just heading off to a cleaner cache.

adding my name to the list, I found this with mum last time and we came back and looked for it today, but no luck it gone I'm sure we looked where we found it last time and in the general area but its now a road way almost and the area is flagged off too.
Came back here again today while I was in the area. This place looks like a tip. No wonder they want to redevelop this area when people treat it like this. What a disgrace.
I read an earlier maintenance log from the CO which gave me an idea along with the hint but after scratching around for half and hour i'm 99 percent sure this has gone.
With the amount of trash around GZ, it's not exactly a place I would bring my family cache hunting. I don't think interstate or international geocachers would appreciate this either. Maybe it's a good time to move it or archive it.

I had a really good look around and was dismayed by the lack of pride and respect for the landscape by whoever dumped rubbish or left an untidy camp here. I don't think a good place to attract geovisitors here.
Continuing our Gold Coast week-end with the Couchmen family!
No luck wih this one. Many garbage around so we declare a DNF...

Disappointing and scary DNF here. It was a VERY long walk out here from my accommodation near Australia Fair and an even slower walk back. GZ was inhabited by a ute that has been bogged for a few days and plenty of rubbish which clearly suggests someone has been living temporarily at GZ. I wish the recent finders had revealed the coordinate at which they found the cache and mentioned the fridge, camp chair etc. to warn future cachers, cause I couldn't find anything for 20m from the listed coordinate. The young men trying to get their car out came to see what I was doing in the bushes and made inappropriate suggestions which made me extremely uncomfortable. I immediately left the area and regretted the massive hike out to this point. I certainly wouldn't recommend any sole females head to this area in a hurry.
Eyes may have been painted on but no joy. The spot I thought it should have been revealed nothing.Pityas it's quite a way back from NZ.
Nowhere tone seen, absolutely no magic here, just have to pack up me spade and shovel and head home )-:
This has often been a hard cache to find. Every time I check it it is still there. Will check again shortly.

Looked around with 5 people, found where it was most likely hidden. Looks like someone has taken it.
Think it's been muggled. Found the position and the spot we believe. See if anyone else has more luck.
this one seems to have been muggled! pretty sure we found where it should be but nothing remaining
Went back for a couple of looks, no cache there. Searched for a good half hour both times. Lots of evidence of muggles
Out this morning trying to finish off all the caches down this end. By the time I got here it was raining pretty heavy. Despite the rain I had a pretty good look but it was a no go.
I shall return for another go
I shall return for another go
My coord must have been waaaaay off. My gps put me in the middle of the open space. Not a sign of anything for at least 20metrrs
Beautiful day for a trip down here. Despite a car stuck in the nearby sand parking area we didn't see much life down here. Mrs Hunting Rabbit searched the area, but Dr Hunting Rabbit spotted it and made the find. One for me today [:D). This is a beautiful area. TFTC Diesel48.
Found it today, yesterday muggles where sitting 3 m away from it,
TFTC NTNLSL all in order and repositioned, covered it a bit better.

Back in the general area today for a jet boat ride. Decided to head over and hunt for this again. Stopped for a cuppa and choc ginger muffin before the hunt. Must have made the difference because I found it straight away today
Missed this on my trip a couple of days ago so drove out to pick it up this time TFTC Didn't see any trackables but wasn't looking for a micro coin
Found while out with captain terror will come back for the rest another time TFTC
3rd find of the afternoon. Sat down on the sand and enjoyed the view for a few minutes after signing the log. TFTC
Did not find.
This was on our bike ride Along southport spit.
We stared off at the car park at the point, got to the other end, went for a swim and a picnic lunch on the beach. Lots of sun, sand and surf. Headed back up to the point the get the few beyond the car park.
Also found the temperature threshold of the Iphone. Had it mounted on the bike, where the direct sun and the heat from the GPS made it shut down with a Temperature warning.

Found this one some time ago but was another one of the spit area caches that we failed to log. TFTC
Down the Gold Coast today with Nurseyjulie...
We hired electric bikes which made our trawl up and down The Spit a doddle!
Such a shame there is rubbish dumped in this area. It made me feel uneasy about poking around here. Maybe the locals could organise a mini CITO?
Easy find, the Hint was a blessing!
On we rolled... putt! putt! putt!

Co-ords on the GPS slightly out but L.Anniebug soon had the cache in hand. Now we know what you mean about the clue. TFTC
Took a little while but got there in the end. It's a shame about the rubbish everywhere. I used to come here when I was a little kid and it was beautiful. If only people would take their mess with them
A lovely spot away from the rat race but it isn't far away.... First branch we looked there it was Thanks diesel48 for bringing us here:)
Today we decided to grab part of this power trail and some other nearby caches, we picked the worst day as the sun was blistering hot and there is hardly any cover along the trail. This cache was spotted straight away, easy find. I would class it as a small then a regular, thanks guys.
We visited this cache yesterday and found that it was still in its location. I repeat that it is NOT a sistima container. The cache is still in very good condition and hidden as the clue states. Also watch the head on the branch that also belongs to the same tree. NOT A SISTIMA container but round. Co ordinate a are also correct as from when it was first placed.

Cache has been destroyed. Obviously not well hidden as there is a lot of people that frequent the area
Not a good way to start our day.
Two muggles fishing. Found old container under the clue at GZ!!!
Spent too much time here.may be next time.
Great spot though.

Found at 1020 during a weekend break in the GC. Not sure but I think it may be an idea for the CO to check this one again. TFTC.
Have visited Seaway and found that it is still in the original position and in good shape. Check the clue. It is not sistema container.
Found bottom half of sistema container, plus a variety of rubbish. If there's a replacement cache here I miissed it.
On our way to Seaworld it startede raining so we drow around hoping it would stop. By this cache I jumped out and went looking. It was still raining so my effort wasn't that good. Stopped looking after 2-3 min. Didn't find it. This one has to wait a few years until I come back Down Under.
Came here in the dark after completing the northern half of the GCPT. Search the area and only found an opened container as mentioned in the previous posts. As this is a highly muggled cache I suggest it gets put somewhere harder to find or archive it. Thank you for your efforts diesel48.
Eventually found on the other side of the path from what the GPS coordinates indicated. TFTC.
We decided to head to the Gold Coast today to attempt the enticing power trail along The Spit. Along the way some other caches entriced us as well and we enjoyed finding the cache and checking out the lovely scenery. We found the replacement cache.
Thanks to diesel48.
Thanks to diesel48.
We are away for about a fortnight so wewill check it when we come back if it hasnot been found. We have only just replaced it thus the new container laying around possibly. Most disapointed with those typeof peoplewho do that type of thing. may have to move it a bit. will post anychanges.
Looked through the area with no luck. There is a new container, or part thereof, laying near GZ. I suspect a muggling
now I see why it looked so good its just been replaced lol. made find easily , left a few more swaps and took the stubby cooler we found near by.
Have replaced the missing cache. Please ensure that the camo is replaced as it is now a busy pathway past it.

Sorry, a din't found again. It is a nice spot a little bit away from GZ. Thanks for the bikeride
Didn't spend too long here, in fact stopped looking after I noticed all the DNF's, not always a good idea I might add, but by now I was also running out of time and needing to get back to Jens Aunt's place as we were going out for dinner. Enjoyed coming here anyway. Great spot to see the city sights.
Didn't find it - and we should of read the notes before venturing out - but hey the dogs had fun swimming around there.... lol
We had a good search for this one, we found a perfect place for it and from the hints this would be the likely place but no cache found. I think it has gone.
We searched this area for about 20 minutes today but had no luck. Given the two previous DNFs, we request that the CO please check this cache.
No luck here for goldielover and I. Could see where others had been. Gave up after a short search.
Stairman1 and I had the area to ourselves but had no luck today. Afraid it may have gone missing as all we found was a clip lock bag. TFTC
DNF while on a weeks Theme Park adventure from Albany WA. Done as an early morning training run from Seaworld Resort. First of 4 DNF's for the day.
One of the 24 we located today. Yorki logged over 14000 steps for the day> Caching is good exercise as well. TFTC
Am presently in Cairns and will not be returning until middle of July. Will replace the cache container when i am back. Thanks for letting me know.

As previously mentioned container lid has a crack in it, but contents are not in bad condition. Had to wait for some tourists and the local constabulary to cruise past before heading in and grabbing the cache. TFTC
Found this one whilst completing the GCPT. Fantastic location. Quickly found as it was in the open in plain view. Container has seen better days - lid cracked.

During our 1st visit a couple of weeks ago this was all fenced off, but the fences were all gone now. Nice and easy find TFTC diesel48.
