We didn't spend much time on this. It looks like most of the Oriental Grass has been cut out and we found no sign of a cache.
I raced from the carpark, across the field to try to get this one before my caching buddy PC SNIFF, but to our mutual bitter disappointment, we could only find a hole where we thought the cache might have once resided.
GZ looks as though it has been maintained recently hence the cache could be gone. We found an empty hole under the bamboo.
Have been trying to get this one for a while but there have always been sports teams around. This time we managed to get there just before midday and had the place to ourselves. The cache was quickly found and we were on our way
Nice easy find, all the morning activities had ceased so no problems accessing cache, except for the neighbour bumbling away behind the fence. TFTC.
Nice little spot. Picked the best day, no Muggles in site...but this can be a very busy park.
Another nice day of Caching in Auckland. All quiet at GZ, and a quick find. Thanks for the hide
TFTC had to fake looking for a ball with the kids but found after a good search.
Pleasant stroll to GZ and expected a long vegetation related search to ensue but thanks to some recent pruning and the skills of my doggedly determined caching buddy we made a quick find and get away.

Had to head out this way for a meeting this morning, so thought id have another look and see if i could find this cache after two previous DNF attempts.
Made the short walk across the field to GZ. This time, i noticed the vegetation has had a severe trim and the area is alot more exposed now. The bank was extremely slippery and i had to be careful not to slip over and get covered in mud before heading to work. Cache was spotted quickly this time and im glad to sign this one off the list at long last!! Signed log and covered cache up much better for the next finder. TFTC!

AdamsFamilyof2 today for the first day of school holidays. Dad and JacktheAllBlack (8) were on foot as the car was being serviced. We decided to check out a couple of caches near to our house. This was number 1 and found with little difficulty. TFTC.
I saw a Kingfisher and seagulls on the way. Dad found it pretty quickly number 1 of 3 today.
Found it this time. Removed a pencil sharpener, left a foreign coin.
Forgot to bring a pen to sign the log, will have to pop back later.

Not windy today...but certainly cold and shortly after raining.
Most of the bamboo is gone/broken off. It was a bit slippery for me on my workingslippers.

#187, Very Windy Park. Not much loot for the kids. they were a bit disappointed. TFTC
Think I fluked the find on this one as I don't usually have much luck in bamboo. TFTC
Spotted cache after a short search. It was really windy out there today! TFTC
Out caching for the afternoon and my GPS spotted this one. A soccor match was in progress but nobody paid attention. A quick find.

Nice little find....easy to manage for the kids although someone ended up mudcovered! Great fun, swapped some cache stash. TFTH
Found by Miss 5, despite my having to carry Master 1 and keep an eye on Master 3. SO MUCH MUD! Winter defoliation has made cache a bit more visible, though.
Mostly weather for ducks today - just a few stragglers out in the rain including us. Did bit of a dance around GZ but EatOrBeEaten soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
Out on a mission to chalk up as many finds today as possible. No-one was around today at GZ which made for a simple stroll and find. Re-hid a little better than was found. TFTC.
Looking at nights probably not the best idea but seeing as it was found yesterday, it might have been too well hidden for us
Didn't find it, but this was my first try at this game Will try again sometime!
My last cache find of 2010 in another empty reserve which made finding the cache quite easily. The log book is quite damp.
Traditional Cache find 150!
Out this lunch time for some quick geocaching. A nice easy find today in a deserted park. Everytime I have driven over the nearby bridge I was reminded that there was a cache here that I hadn't yet found. It shall haunt me no longer. Cheers for the cache!

Last cache as I exited my exploration of Pakuranga today. The logbook could do with some attention as it is quite damp.
Our first GC search & find, even though it was after a second attempt, helps if you read the clues first. haha. Found it fairly quickly in the end. Donated blood to the mozzies.

Well what can I say, it was obvious from the hint where it was, but took a while to make itself shown
Oh the shame! To be the first to log a DNF! It was very frosty out this afternoon but all good as it was very quiet around GZ. Co-ords seemed spot on but obviously brain wasn't.
Certainly not a good day for caching due the wet weather. When we arrived, it was drizzling slightly so we dashed to GZ to hunt for the cache. Just a we found it, the rain got slightly heavier but it still wasn't too bad. Signed log then made a dash back to the car. TFTC.
Dropped off geocoin- Man in Black. Been here with kids sport many a time, now I know a new secret about this area.
Thought it may be gone as area looked fairly bare - but no still there and secure. SL TFTC
The muggle from over the back fence told me where the cache is and told me that he's asked the Council to remove the noxious weeds in the area so there is a chance that the cache might be affected.
Took the coins to move them on - Just in case.

Found on an East Auckland and beyond cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. Amazing to see from that logs that the last finder was also from Nelson. I can remember bringing my son here to play football some years ago when we use to live in Auckland. That would have been in about 6BC (before caching). TFTC, Biggles.
Found with Biggles while on a tour of East Auckland. A short walk across the pitch and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks.
Mrs B was visiting just down the road so took the opportunity to take her niece & nephew for a walk & a cache hunt. Took a few minutes but then success with cache in hand! Unfortunately hadn't taken a pen/pencil & there was none in the cache but left TBs & Geocoins as proof that we were there, and have photos at the cache site if required. Very quiet at GZ today .. I imagine this would be much harder during "match time" TFTC + TB & GCs
First find of the day - and an easier find than we feared from the hint. Thanks

A nice little cache. Went early on a rainy morning to beat muggles. Thought it might have been muggled at first but very well hidden from prying eyes; although a cacher will know where to look. TFTC.
This took longer than I first thought it should. Finally found it after a fair bit of searching. Thanks.
Nice quick find. Had to look around for a few minutes and then there it was. TFTC
Had to rummage around a bit, but found eventually. ground a bit wet, should have brought our gumboots. -tb
Bit of a muddy walk to this one and pleased I was wearing my gumboots. Straight to the cache however, a quick find.
No swaps made, TFTC

Found with Mr & Mrs Mitchell. The guys searched and searched and the girls managed to find it. Guys 0 Girls 1!!! Was pretty late at night, so no drama with muggles. TFTC + TB Ma China
Had a night out with gandgnz... a few bevies first then out on the hunt. At 2230 muggles did not seem to be a problem. The grass proved to play havoc on the boy's new toys as the girls found cache powered with just a torch!!!

After randomly selecting this cache on the gps and saying go there
Cache was quickly found.
But where am I? who knows, as long as I have my gps.

Quick dash through the rain to GZ, searched, found the cache, signed the log and sprint back to the car phew! T4TC.
I've had a couple of goes at this one over the last we while, finally put the time and effort in with no one else around.

Cold enough to freeze something that won't freeze unless it's very cold.
On the plus side, there was nobody there, and I had all the time my slow brain needed.

Definitely need to be stealthy - lot of sports taking place.
Well camouflaged, but still a relatively easy find.

Luckily there was a game of soccer on the far field so I was not observed - I think.
There was no TB in the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

Well it was just starting to get dark when we went for this cache. Mr Geckoh decided to return to the car for the torch as Mrs Geckoh made the find (hee hee).

A game of soccer was underway on the furtherest field but no people close to GZ so it looked safe to hunt. Lucky to find it is the first spot I looked.
Many thanks
