We found the location, but there was only a part of the geocach that we could find. Plus there was a massive spider guarding the place, and neither of us relished the thought of sticking our hands into it.

21-Mar-10
I need to fix up this cache

14-Mar-10
I thought that the neighbour would be suspicious but she didn't look up once from her garden.
Found with Hoojar.
Cheers. Smile

14-Mar-10
No magpies here today, but we swooped in for a quick find before moving along.

Cheers

08-Mar-10
Nice spot, unfortunately the lid does not stay on and the log is drenched, with all the rain today I doubt it will dry out.

07-Mar-10
Added my mark to a dampish log.
JABs.

01-Mar-10
Very interesting hiding spot, lucky i brought along the tall rainbowmagicness

28-Feb-10
Really enjoyed this one, very sneaky hiding spot but hidden in an area that is different from the others. Loved this one!

27-Feb-10
Trees everywhere found it but no lid!

20-Feb-10
A short walk from the car and the cache was found without much trouble. The lid is missing and it is had to tell if it is still in there or not. All is well regardless.

20-Jan-10
Nice easy lunch time retrieval. One issue I have with this one though is the lid falls off really easy. As soon as I hid it it had already fallen off again. Unfortunatey I had no tape to thicken it up.

Last one for the day, large search area checking all trees one by one till we had hit the jack pot! My GPSr was 15 out.

Good eyes Erin!

Lucky found myself...Thank god Few Magpie watch me...

20-Nov-09
Looked everywhere did not find it. Any tips or hints?

20-Nov-09
Tried again with widened search area still no find Sad

14-Nov-09
More luck this time by. Found GZ and widened the search area to find the cache. TFTC

07-Nov-09
No sign of the magpie swooping - and no sign of the cache, either.

06-Nov-09
Phew, finally found it. Took GeoTeen for some higher perspectives and he managed to find the lid first, then the cache. Signed and returned but the lid would not stay on. Well hidden, TFTC Smile

I had no problem with the coordinates, just with the cache. It was in the logical location at GZ, just well concealed, and as has already been reported the lid/container needs some attention, I couldn't get it to stay on either. Fortunately I had neither muggles nor magpies as a distraction during the search. Thanks for the cache angel 755

26-Oct-09
Cache container requires replacement - lid will not stay on the cache container; cache co-ords need to be corrected.

25-Oct-09
Found at 11:50.

It's there!!! However, the co-ords really should be corrected - as previous logs have consistently stated, they are way out (I agree with growingupisoptional at 13 metres north). Cache container is also not sealing. I am putting this one up for maintenance.

Thanks Angel755.

24-Oct-09
We searched and hunted, and hunted and searched but could not find anything that resembled a cache. Maybe a case of cache blindness after being out all day and this being 4pm, or perhaps the satellites were being turned off at the end of the day? Hmmm. As there was another DNF before us, we'll wait until someone else finds the cache again before we retry it. TFTH.

22-Oct-09
We spent quite some time here at around 09:51, but couldn't locate the cache. Muggle kids were very disappointed that we couldn't find it - especially as they live really close.
Ian and Penny

This cache found me a very long way from GZ.
I only found it when I gave up and started to return to my car.
My GPS like others had me 13 meters north of GZ, so if your having trouble look here.
The lid will not stay on so placed it back as best I could.

I don't know how I missed this one the first time. The gps was pointing me to a different set of trees and I think I searched every single one to the East of this one but for some reason didn't search the other way too.
No worries - I spotted it with no trouble this time. (and helped Thelostmatt find it too! Big Grin he he he)

12-Oct-09
next on our list for what i think was a twistedk DNF trip was this. it was found with rather ease.

11-Oct-09
Nice and quiet park, there was no lid on the container but the log was dry and in good shape all the same. Thanks for leading me here Big Grin

11-Oct-09
We found it after a bit of a search. It was showing 10m north of GZ prompting the question has it moved? We also found the lid on the ground but it is not fixing to the body well and is loose. Suggest a visit to check location and container. TFTC

11-Oct-09
No magpies today and cache a bit off GZ with part of it on the ground. Put back as secure as possible.

29-Sep-09
Quick find on the way to work this morning Soldierboy2 (his first official log). Had quick look for this in the dark last week. Daylight certainly making it easier. Noted there wasno lid on the container but the log was dry adn in good shape all the same.

25-Sep-09
Finally found the cache - it was on the ground so put it back - I am sure it was right place for hidden spot. Hey need new container as no lid. SL. Thanks Angel755 for organising the cache and hunt.

21-Sep-09
Rather unhappy. Second unsuccessful attempt. The first one I managed to arrive at much the same time as another cacher. I wasn't sure of the ettiquette so refrained from bounding up to him and saying 'Hi! I'm TwistedK, who are you?'
I went for a walk and had a chat to a friend on the phone and hoped he'd find the cache quickly and go. I didn't disappear long enough though and I decided to leave him to it!

I thought I would have a second crack at it tonight (2130) after a meeting. It was raining lightly so I was hoping it would be quick.
It wasn't!
I found so many interesting things; cool black beetles, a massive (and I mean MASSIVE) huntsman, some ants almost as big as my thumb (well at least as big as the top half of it), some very interestingly shaped trees but noooooo cache. (unless one of those beetles were one - most were moving so fairly unlikely)
I read the previous logs and widened my search area and looked where I thought a height advantage would be an advantage. Still no luck!
Sad

I miss Thelostmatt! (he's on holidays) He can usually find the ones I can't and point me in the right direction.

I will try again in daylight without rain.....

05-Sep-09
Perhaps this one should be renamed Rosella's Song. No sign of any magpies but a large assortment of rosellas that made the geobubs very happy.

Co-ords were a little off, probably form the trees, but the geowife made the find with a short look around! TFTC

02-Sep-09
A nice quick one to break up the drive home tonight. I was very lucky to find it as it got dark very quickly on me. Was a nice place to just sit and listen to all the birds sing for a few moments.

21-Aug-09
Found with Cookiemonster5 who retrieved it and is all of 5ft nothing?? The lid to the cache container was very loose? Owner might want to have a look at it to help keep the log dry. TFTC

15-Aug-09
Tiny and cool.

21-Jul-09
I found it on the ground; I hope I put back in the correct place. Thanks for the cache. CoolBig GrinWink [^]

18-Jul-09
Two attempts at this cache today, once on the way to Holden EJ and once on the way back.

Both were what I thought/consider to be detailed searches but still no luck.

18-Jul-09
There didn't appear to be very many places to hide a cache, but they all looked empty to a friend and my eyes.

05-Jul-09
Shame that we were so short...would have made getting the cache a little easier! But a fantastic hiding spot and cute cache. Smile
Definitely an appropriate name - the magpies decided to give us a little greeting while we were putting the cache back. Wink

#194: Spotted a possible location as we walked up to GZ. Need the linFox's height advantage to retrieve it though. I think I need to get figure out what is wrong with my GPS as it says GZ was 20m away for the second cache in a row.

28-Jun-09
Found with linFox and Rubai

For the second time today linFox thought it wold be funny not to announce the find and let me keep searching, well, actually I do that a lot to, it is rather funny. Anyway, Once I discovered the cache (in the hands of linFox and rubai) I was rather impressed. Very nicely done.

Thanks, Jezzza Xtreme.

28-Jun-09
rubai spotted the cache right away, as JezzzaXtreme didn't notice and hunted around the area. I was nearly finished as he noticed we had it in hand Smile.

Thanks!

After visiting family down the road (cat owners) I needed to let the dogs out of the ute for a run........ and as I undid the clips out they shot...... me thinking that they were after a pee - poor dogs found that they had seen something?? before I did and decided to give it a little exercise before returning a minute later "mum you really are a spoil sport - cats should be chased" is the look I get.

The where abouts of the cache was quick to establish even by torch light as that is a great place but at 5'2" I could either stand on a dog : ( or scramble (which I did) and then dropped it, bugger! Log signed and cache replaced to its position. I love night caching.

You weren't wrong about the size. Being 6'5" was an asset. I forgot a pencil in my excitement. My second cache.

Working with lordjimbob55 again (gawd, JimBob...) and our mutual Scouty friends, we had a lot of fun finding this one. Pretty nicely done =]

19-May-09
found the log as part of a group activity with my venture unit and one of my friends unit, with 20 people it was a easy find and when a group of muggles walked past we made it look like we where playing spotlight or some simaler game.

19-May-09
Just what I needed - a little escapism.
I stood and looked, without the usual flurry of searching, until it became obvious.

19-Apr-09
Saw a few magpies, but not being nesting season,we were safe whilst looking for the stash..Found after a brief search and signed the bookwork late Sunday. Many thanks to Angel1755 for the clever and sneaky hide spot.

10-Apr-09
Many possibilities in this location, but narrowed it down in the end.

Nice hide and interesting park. Thanx
14 of 15 for the day

15-Mar-09
Nice Crypic .... and no Magpies ... oh well

28-Feb-09
Second cache for the afternoon with Ju and mr_roo and we arrived at GZ and searched all the obvious areas with no luck.

We then started looking in the not so obvious ones and I made the find straight away. Very nice job on the camo, it could have had us searching for a while if I wasn't looking from the right angle.

Another find on a lazy sunday afternoon caching with Berzerker.
TFTC!!

19-Feb-09
It didnt take me long to narrow down the possibilities. Then the hiding place became apparent, and I was able to grab the cache. The only muggles around were a fair way off, and more interested in what their dog was up to than in me.

I'll have to come back here if SuperJaz wants to find this one, I think it would be a little challenging...

15-Feb-09
The closest unfound to home for some time so it was good to get this one today. I brought my taller other half, after a problem encountered on the last visit. Hopefully the boys nearby on their bikes were too intent on jumping off the piles of dirt. Thanks Angel755!

searched for a little while but eventually found it, no magpies which was good, nice little hiding spot Smile

14-Feb-09
Spotting the item out of place (having read everyone else's comments) was not too hard - actually being able to move it was the issue as I'm quite tiny. Definitely a worthwhile little hide. TFTC.

04-Feb-09
Ever have one of those, "Just take me out and shoot me" moments ?
Well I had one of those moments when I found this cache.
I had spent what was probably a good 40 minutes or more searching every square inch, of every tree, rock, branch, stick, and patch of dirt in the area - every square inch EXCEPT the one where this was hidden. Just as I was about to declare a DNF on it, I looked and behold it was right there in front of me, and having done others like this, I knew immediately I'd found it. Can't for the life of me work out how I missed seeing it for so long. I think I need to do a lot more caching, I'm getting way too rusty at it by the look of it.
TNLNSL, thanks for a clever hide, that should not have taken me anywhere near that long to find. Oh well, at least it's a shady spot to hang around a while.

04-Feb-09
Very clever hide here, took a few minutes for me to locate and only with the help of previous logs. Very impressive!

TFTC!

31-Jan-09
After a drive by DNF on Fairytale Fun, I realised this one was coming quckly onto the caching-scope as I drove. Parked nearby and walked to the GZ looking at all thepossible hiding spots. But almost instantly I saw something that didn't look right, reached in first, then realised I was holding camo!

29-Jan-09
hmmmmm GPSr is a bit off today how 'bout we look over there, and there it is.

Nice easy find TFTC

Great hiding. One of the best yet. Geokids were amazed as they were looking al around it for about 5 min till I told them to look closer.

10-Jan-09
Found at 1720. Well I certainly wasn't expecting a great hide like this one. Lucky there were no magpies around to hinder the search.

Nice cache!

Thanks.

I can see why a few other people had DNF on this one, I was lucky as I saw the trademark containers this cacher uses nearby so found it after looking in some other places.
great cammo

Found on the way home from some Namadgi caching. Very nice camo. Good hide.

Nice hide – although we found an extra resident in the cache camo, a nice big spider Smile Didn't bit anyone, but was a curiosity for us Kiwis. Cheers Gav [3132]

This maggie seems to have flown the coup
Kept and eye out, but wasn't one swoop
Found a big spider
And a cache beside it
Might pick up a stick next time I snoop

Had a Google Earth print out to find this one, yet to get my GPS working again. Didn't take us too long to find thankfully. But was a cute little spot. Thanks for the cache. Smile

16-Dec-08
Bit more challenging trying to find a cache without a GPS but we managed to find it thanks to Wasptor. A little bit of searching for this one but it wasn't too long before the cache was in hand. TFTC!!!

11-Dec-08
Straightforward find as I spotted something out of place while walking in, a casual grab and wander produced the well wrapped container for signing. Quickly returned as found on the way back as there are several overlooking windows. No dive bombing black and white stukas to report.

05-Dec-08
After many circles of a few very promising looking spots I eventfully found it, but it was not in its home., That's why it took so long, anyway, I think it is back where it should be. Great camo. Thanks.

This cache is currently my nearest unfound, so I thought it was time to actually make the effort to find it. I was passing by today with the Tealby B-Team in tow for once, so made a quick detour into a spot I had passed through on another relatively recent cache hunt. The cache was in hand very quickly, but extracting the "stopper" took a little time. TFTC.

28-Nov-08
738 - I was prepared for a bit of a search for this one but was lucky to spot it fairly quickly.

A nicely prepared and hidden cache.

TNLN - TFTC !!

Cheers....

Done after the Lego one up the road. Took bout 5 mins or so, where is McPhan when you need him? No magpies. Thanks for the cache. ZZ7

21-Nov-08
2nd of 3 finds for the day. This one took around 15 minutes to locate. Looking high and looking low, then I saw something that didn't look quite right, and on closer inspection, the cache revealed itself.

A clever hide, well thought out and well placed.

TFTC.

Cheers,

19-Nov-08
It musty be time to get a new GPS. Both caches today I have been 20m away from the GZ. I was lucky and had a few hints. I found the cache after a bit of a search, I was right once I focused on a hide more my height.

A top little hide, thanks Angel755. You have definitely set the bar for a new cacher around the area. Keep it up!

1469. Yep, more good camo in suburban Canberra. The Oregon zeroed me out in a different spot but once I thought about it the cache was in hand quickly.

TFTC and the dusty walk. Isn't is dry around here?

15-Nov-08
Magpies can be such buggers we had one around near one of our local downhill courses. It would just wait watching just until someone got some air on one of the jumps then attack. Of course if you weren’t ready for this you tend to stack big time. Now where getting over the Magpies, the Peregrines have started bombing and they hurt.

1101+11=1112

Thank goodness Mrs Squirrel zeroed in on the cache because I was completely lost. Once again, an excellent camo job.

Thanks Angel755.

12-Nov-08
Found it on the way to work this morning! Certianly lots of places to look, but found it in about 5 minutes, which was lucky, as I could see people starting to come out of their houses to go to work! Also lucky - the magpie was nowhere to be found.
Nice hide - TNLNSL - thanks!

11-Nov-08
Popped in here on the way to work, parked the bike against a tree, turned on GPS, only a few metres away, but took a good 10 mins to find a cleverly hidden cache. Oddly enough, I've found one exactly like that only last month. A great hide, thanks for the little extra ride on the way to work.

10-Nov-08
The email popped up 8 minutes ago and I'm still waiting for the guy to turn up and give me a quote. Do you know how frustrating this is?

10-Nov-08
I came, I searched, I found a myriad of great hiding spots, but unfortunately I did not find the cache in any of them! Sad . It must be a good hiding spot!
Didn't see a magpie, only parrots and pigeons! MyGPSr zeroed out in the middle of a clearing giving me a wide search area.

10-Nov-08
FTF - I was out on a hill in South Canberra signing a log this afternoon when Big Matt called to say a cache had been published in close proximity to my home. He noted that Merekats had had a crack at it with no luck so I thought I'd pop past on the way home to see if I could find it.

After a minute or so I had the cache in hand and to my surprise I had beaten the usual suspects to the find. Quite a clever little hide but my intuition proved right for a change!

Thanks Angel755 for a great little hide.

10-Nov-08
I spent a long time searching n ever increasing circles, because I was sure that someone must have left a pen somewhere nearby. It probably would have been quicker to ride home and back, but oh well. Great hide, TFTC.

BTW is it meant to be where the magpies swoop to, or from?

10-Nov-08
#380 - Now that's embarrassing! I actually looked there! Obviously not hard enough. When Katastrophy got home, he rode out to have a look for it. He found the cache quick enough (with FF's FTF), but had forgotten a pen, so spent ages looking around for one. He gave up and came home. After dinner we returned to log the find. Thanks for the sneaky hide.
