Thanks for the cache. I had not looked exactly right as I kinda guessed it might not be there. We had given up and muggle Kev says I can see it - and there it was. Signed the log and off to Diamond Harbour. Thanks for the multi. I need to find more of these and do enjoy them when I do. Cheers Kiwi Nomad for bringing me here.
Decided to stop at Dunsandel for lunch so solved this multi online (online photos are clear). Hint is unambiguous, but we found nothing. What size was the replacement cache? Has the hint changed? Looking at recent logs, it was found well away from the hint? Will watch and see shat happens...
After the nearby event today I found the cache a long way (8 m) from co-ordinate and hint location. I gather there was some hide creep going on.... However I returned to hint and solved coordinate location. I suspect I was the last-to-find, today anyway.
A quick find after the nearby event today with a few other cachers. Thanks for the cache.
3rd time a charm, this time as the song goes, I need a little help from my friends after the event 2wombles and I met up with Littletonwitvh and snugpup and ventured forth, 2wombles and I had old numbers so a good learning moment is to read longs and update the numbers, so came out with the right ones this time. We logged the find!! Whoo hoo.

Found with the help of a bunch of others from the event. Sad to see the names on the memorial have been a bit defaced. Thanks for the cache!
Came for a drive to get multi for todays dotday. Had no issues getting some coords and then found the cache!
TFTC Kiwi Nomad, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4253

We were out this way and had seen maintenance was done. Had to come and sign so we could get rid of the blue frown. Catching up with logging as life got busy. Beautiful lavender growing here. Thanks for this fun multi and the cache Kiwi Nomad.
Found with ivss_xx. Great straightforward multi we picked up while doing the new AL. Pretty sure this one ticks a jasmer box for me.
I thought I did something wrong when I got the final coords and they were super close to statue.

While doing a couple of very fresh caches in Dunsandel, we noticed this well-aged multi and stopped for our sentry duty.
Some of the names have been washed out but can still be seen if you come close up. Glad to see this older cache still being maintained!
The final turned out to be almost at arms reach
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks for the cache, Kiwi Nomad!

Yay so happy this was replaced, kids were stoked one right by home was back, the yellow container we put in is travel soap sheets incase anyone is wondering
Sorry not sure how I missed so many dnf's. Son is going to be passing by next weekend hopefully so I will get a new cache sorted for him to put in place then.
Great multi with clear info to solve questions. Had the coords that matched the hint but nothing to be found. Searched all others incase but nothing to be found. Pity we needed a multi today for a challenge and this is our 3rd dnf multi.
Pretty sure I had co ord correct. Search a big area outside where I thought it should be but no luck for me today.
Could not initially locate it after calculating GZ.
Walking back to the car to check my work noticed something sitting on a fence post about 20 meters away, it was the cache!
Rehidden where I believe it should be hidden; TFTC

Solved and co-ords took me to a spot which matched the hint and felt right.... but no luck.
Nice easy read-a-sign multi, but it took us into private housing. Went back and rechecked, still private housing. Obviously doing something wrong here, so left it for another time.
Punctuation saves lives!!
Interesting how this cache is about the World Wars and the misuse of punctuation. Could the wars have been prevented simply with better grammar?
Came down on Thursday night with Taybeedragon for a three day geocaching trip and to collect a rare cache type - so rare that this will be the first ever for me - a 10-Year Celebration Event cache (now rejigged as Community Celebration Events). But that was yesterday alng with some adventure labs and Halswell Quarry, and I still have a whole day and a half to muck about in Christchurch before heading home. Having smurfed some caches we are now just collecting odds and sods given that there is still some light left.

I was driving down to Ashvegas today to help my mother-in-law with her garden. Travelling alone... how could I *not* grab a few caches on the way?
The was the first, a nice quick multi to get me started.

It's amazing how a 2 hour drive can take 6 hours when caching and stopping for lunch. Really enjoy multis and are trying to increase our numbers for this type of cache. Love multis based on info like this and we soon had it sorted and the cache in hand soon after. TFTC
Nice simple puzzle if you read it correctly ha ha dumbo me..it was a nice walk ...until I realised my error ...thanks... kiwi nomad for multi
Wow two of us got it wrong to start with but once corrected I had to laugh about the location of the final. Thanks for the multi Kiwi Nomad
Last rest stop of today's journey. Realized there were a couple of multi caches nearby so did this one. Nice idea for a cache!
6/7 of my cache types for the day. Tftc!

Today we made a trip to Mt. Sunday. On the way we searched, found and logged all other caches, too. The weather was fine, not too warm, a little bit cloudy, and in the mountains there was a heavy wind.
Almost no muggels could be seen there - but a lot of beautiful landscape and snow covered mountains.
Thanks to Kiwi Nomad for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Sentry Duty (Canterbury). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

You came back again a little bit more motivated to try and get this hide we started again did the numbers came out the same as what I had before went to the area to look around hunted hire NZ go inside and out I couldn't find anything that was in descriptions or in the hint dnf again unfortunately going to have to be a paf and rethink this all over again
Spend a good man a time at the GC getting the details are needed for the final got to where I thought the final would be and spent a fair bit of time having a good look around GPS ran out of battery life so resorted to the cell phone unfortunately that wasn't coming up trumps and bounce was quite substantial not for me today will have to come back again another time
Heading home after a long weekend in Christchurch. This seemed like a good place to stop for lunch and enjoy a multi while I was at it. Soon had the numbers needed and a quick find was made. TFTC
I have been past here a few times in the past and not had time to stop and do the multi. Today we (I and a non-caching colleague) got to Dunsandel with time to spare before a lunch meeting across the road so I wandered off to check out this cache. Sorted out the numbers and quickly found the cache. Nicely done. TFTC, Biggles.
Grand cache this one is. Puzzle caches are always easy after you find them. Cheers
Been up at Darfield grabbing a few of the smurf caches and thought I would grab this on the way home just for something a little different. Got the numbers no worries but I hadnt read the description properly and my coords were in someones backyard a couple of hundred metres up the road so I tried again and after realising my mistake I came up with some better looking coordinates and made the find the second time nice and easy. That will teach me for not reading properly. TFTC
taking my daughter to the airport for a flight to wellington so made sure we had time for a quick stop and a quick find tftc
Caching with capperz and G H 6 7 1 0 chasing caches and numbers across the Canterbury area. Was a great MEGA weekend and thanks to all the CO's whio made it all possible.

Off to the Mega this weekend and a 2 day pass has been granted for Geocaching purposes. It being a long weekend and all there was definitely a plan to get some caches and keep the numbers ticking along. Finished work at 12.00 and waited for the accompanying nightowl19 to finish her school morning. Pick her up and back home to get changed and a bite to eat before heading down the line. There's an event in Rangiora that we'd like to attend and we need to check into our accommodation. All interspersed with few caches too. Today is the planned 200 plus in a day, to be followed by as many types in a day on Sunday, then back home Sunday arvo. Quite the whistle-stop tour. Weather played fair, we ate take aways all weekend. . . . . . . . . . . shameful parenting, and had a great time. Even got to cache with G H 6 7 1 0 too, bonus. We set off at 0600 and were all done by 2000 so not toooo long a day. A few hundred kms driven by G H and in the comfort of his 4 x 4 too.
To all the COs that placed these caches many thanks for facilitating this epic journey and (normally difficult caching target. In Marlborough I've already done so many so big numbers days are nigh on impossible without having to travel out great distances. Most logs were signed G C N being an acronym of our combined caching names. We replaced around half a dozen which were plainly missing on Thompsons Track which will surely help those who follow us.
Apologies for the cut and past logs and last of all T F T C all . Thanks

cache find #3765. Once we reread the description and carried out the correct instructions we had the cache in hand. Nice little multi. TFTC.
Down south this week for some time with our local rep for some training (and after a couple of caches which I have targeted as in need for some special attention to meet the challenge that is the DGsc Challenge further North. along with Zorgon's Virtual Challenge.
It has been a mission to get here as time is always the curse for these out of town stays, and also the weather had to play its part (which it did) in the adventure. After having made a quick dash further down country for the virtual I thought to grab a few on the way back to christchurch so as to try to finish off the 172 Challenge
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

Well maintained war memorial. Geodog not fussed by the "sentry" so growled and growled....quite funny really. Dropped off turtle tb who wants to head south to Bluff. Tftc
A quick stop in Dunsandel so thought I would see if I could grab this cache. I love quick multis like this. TFTC.
Cool little spot and multi. Not sure I got the right cords, but found the wee box anyway. One of 34 caches today en route to Peel Forest
Today we drove to Mount Somers area and on the way to the car park we passed this Multicache. Of course we made a stop, because it was a very short cache. All information were easily to find and after a short while we found the box too.
At this cache we found the information as well and so it was no problem to find the box. Thanks!
My first find today. I was heading on the way to do a Thompson cache binge with my caching buddy BBear44. This one was on the way. Thanks for the great multi.
Found the info but co-ords don't seem quite right, then the eagle eyed Aoraki Sheep noticed a problem with our numbers and a quick recalculation had the cache quickly in hand. Thanks for making us stop at this lovely monument. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
If we'd read the cache description properly we wouldn't have made the mistake that had us scratching our heads, luckily it was an easy fix and cache was soon in hand. Found with debsnz
A stop for lunch and a cache. Has got to be the quickest multi I've ever done. Nice monument. Cheers.

Rolled up as it started to rain. Jumped out gathering info, but Miss Chchcochrane had cache in hand before I had entered coordinates. No sign of TB. TFTC
Took a wee drive South from home to Dunsandel this afternoon to do a spot of caching - supposedly to keep Jnr entertained but he fell asleep! So Mr and I parked up next to the memorial and answered the clues instead. Had the cache in hand in no time - thanks for bringing us to this special memorial, it's beautifully maintained and proudly so by the looks of the gardens.
Although we had calculated the coordinates back in 2010, but not found the cache which was missing, we discovered we needed to repeat the exercise, as the puzzle had changed, and this time it was a quick easy find. TFTC
I just grabbed my cachelet #2 from preschool and Mrs TheWanglers was under the weather and needed an afternoon to herself so I headed out with the wee one to hit a few caches. We headed south! My cachelet was still sleeping. I made the stop here and was glad the truck was nearby as I ran over and grabbed the numbers. Great use of the names. It was clear and elegant. The numbers looked good and the pick up was even quicker. Thanks for the reason to stop and reflect on the massive loss these small communities suffered during these conflicts. I'm ever so greatful for the sacrifice so we can enjoy what we have today.
Happy to sign the log and nice excuse for some reflection. Heading home via Leeston, well that was the plan
By my calculations this should be my 100th multi. Yay, I now qualify for a challenge in Auckland in prep for MEGA!!!!!!!!
This was 4 of 8
Thanks for the cache.

Second find for the day. Intially was way out after getting coordinates, re-read the posting and found what I did wrong. Easy in the end. TFTC.
Heading to Rakaia on a sunny afternoons mission. A quick informative wee multi - I find it amazing the huge sacrifice(s) a lot of these small communities made. Thanks for making me stop. Cheers.
Our first multi-cache! It was a busy Rugby day today. We had to be sneaky to avoid all of the traffic.

Really busy in the footy ground, 125 year celebration or something. Noone anywhere near GZ though. A lovely Saturday for a road trip around the country. Thanks for the hide.
Found it easily - just before my kids got to it. Nice little stop off on our way to Ashvegas. Appreciate the effort gone to make it more fun be deciphering numbers from the 'sentry" -cheers
Usually in a hurry going somewhere or coming back and multi-caches get left. Today had the time and decided to get the Dunsandel multis. Both MacPacMum & JustMeG independently came up with the same answer but it didn't fit the clue. Found the cache by the clue not the co-ordinates.
818 - We came to this cache from another local one but we started on the main road and realised there wasn't a footpath through where we wanted to go. I picked up my dog and we hopped through and over the tracks and there we were. We soon had what we thought were a likely looking set of numbers. MacPacMum and I checked with each other and had the same ones but then realised our GPSrs were pointing us in a different direction from where the hint said it was. A little confusing for a moment but the dog didn't mind, he's enjoying his outing in the country. TFTC

We did the Thompsons Track trail in the morning, and then on the way home collected up a couple more caches. - One of which was this one. It was a nice easy find, as the bunch of us just muggled it rather than doing the long yards...
At this point we broke up also. Half the team continued on in an attempt to get over 100 caches in a day... Us tired half went back home to Chch, leaving this as the last cache of the day.
And it even started raining just as we left! So good timing on behalf of the half of the group that decided to go home

We had looked for this one before but got the solution to the questions wrong. Back today for another go and it was easy
A quick find and I remember visiting this memorial a few years ago when I was taking photos of war memorials in Canterbury for a govt website.
Well kept memorial. Credit to the local community.

2nd visit and brought help. Does anyone find them with the numbers? The math just can't be made to fit. Found using hint. (Why didn't I try that last time?)
