[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.
I was told by chap who works there that if the owners find the cache it will disappear because the CO has not got permission. He also told me that the water tower is being demolished to make way for extensions.

With impending demolition, it sounds like time for this one to go. It seems that the passage of time has also eroded some recollections re the status of this cache anyway, so time to archive.
We met one of the nearby cheese makers who asked what we were up to. After telling him we were geocaching, he told us that a little while ago a family had been hunting for the cache but the owners were concerned as where they were searching there was a lot of broken glass that the kids could get injured on. He didn't tell us not to search but we could tell he wasn't really happy, especially due to OHS risk, so we left. We wondered if permission needed to be gotten for this cache. Anyway, we thought we should pass on the info.
Bit of a strange place for a cache - lots of rubbish around but we found it fairly easily. Wonderful place for lunch though
What's so special about the cheesemakers? After doing a tasting of beautiful cheeses and buying a few for later on I quickly ducked out to look for this cache. It took a while for my gps to settle but after walking around in circles I finally honed in on the hide and spotted it from the other side first. A bit difficult to pick your way through to GZ but once there I was happily signing the log. Thanks for the cache, now off to sample some of the wines as well.
Our plan today was to load the bikes onto the 4wd and head to some rail trails around Beechworth. Unfortunately, just as we were about to load the bikes a car reversed out of the drive way opposite ours and hit a power pole sending it to the ground and leaving lower lines crossing our driveway. Once the power was turned off we had a look and didn't think the 4wd would fit under the lines. The blokes from country energy did let us get the smaller car out but it meant the bikes got left behind.
We didn't taste any of the cheese here today, although we have in the past and left with our wallets a lot emptier. We did, however, locate the cache and left with a smiley for our profile.

This one was a little disappointing with the amount of rubbish around GZ. We got in and out, didn't stop to taste the cheese.
10:50 Nice easy find after visit to cheese shop. Coordinates spot on and contents in excellent condition. TFTC
After a shot hunt we needed to get moving back to Sydney, so took on the Hint quickly had CIH

Lovely cache at beautiful cheese factory. Great stop for lunch amongst the vines. TFTC
Dragons and Bears are staying for a while in Eldorado during school holidays. Today is the last day, and so a slowish trip home over the Hill. Plenty of time for caching along the way. This was to be the first for the day, but first something to eat, and purchase a few cheeses. GZ turned out to bit a bit hard to access with various pieces of rubbish around, but mother dragon soon had the cache. SL and replaced the cache. Back to the cheeses!

Having said goodbye to my caching buddies after yesterdays massive 107 caches in a day, I was feeling very tired and heading back to Melbourne. I stopped for a few caches in the way home, and this was one of them. I this cache up at 11:41am.
This was one of my scheduled stops for my trip home. I visit here every time I am in the area, but it has been a long (long) while since I have been here (pre-caching in fact). I picked up this cache, which is in good order, then headed in to get myself some tasty tasty cheese. Yum
Thanks for the cache Happy Chappies!

This one looked a bit of a challenge, the hint helped but there are renovations going on and a fair bit of junk on the ground, plus not found since January and GPS not steady. However I was assisted by a local who was cladding the nearby wall, although he warned of slithery things, he stepped in with his shovel to point where he thought is was but its not! Easy to find perhaps if grass and builders junk don't worry you. Cost me plenty, missus spending up in cheese shop!
The search for this one was not too easy and my blundering towards the goal left me with a few decent bruises. But the goal was in sight and at the time I hardly noticed getting them. To top it all off I had to go back to GZ to retrieve my GPS that I had dropped - and finding it was not too easy either. Thanks for the hunt. Next time I come back it can be for the cheese!
My third visit although only my first search, the second visit was really just a drive through as we couldn't get a park here on the Monday before the Melbourne Cup, on the first visit I took one look at the area, shuddered, and decided I'd really rather go to a cheese tasting.
Today though our Tuesday group had a bus trip here giving me time for a more leisurely search. It was okay though and the log was signed and I left a travel bug to encourage others to come here and visit

Catching up with some very late logs
After a great few days caching in the Beechworth area we were now heading back to Melbourne travelling with Alansee picking up any caches that were close to the freeway.
This was our second attempt at this cache, the first one a couple of years ago we were muggled out as there was a function happening and there were people everywhere.
Today was nice and quiet and the GPSr led us to a logical place for a nice quick find, but alas no cheese making or tasting today.
Thanks for the cache

I have been here here before but had some help with geotoddler today so found the cache
After reading the listing, I was more than happy to wander about til I found the cache....which wasn't that hard with the hint....which I appreciated even though the owners know about the cache. Gives you the feeling that all is well.
Was late in the afternoon, so no real time to look around, but may do that on another visit next year.

Pulled up and this one and Doc was a bit hesitant but I reassured him the best I could. Got a few looks but by the time we found the cache there was no one else around. TFTC
First I found something else which was in accordance with the hint. Luckily I noticed quickly that this is the wrong spot. After that it was easy. TFTC
The Cheese Factory is one of my favourite places. Love their bread and lunches. TFTC
A bit messy but E made a quick find while I had the best time shopping. Thanks for the cache
Suscoe's 28th find of 42 caches for today on a terrific day out and about in the Wangaratta area.
After a few days of wet weather, today was pretty dry and quite pleasant even though it was cold.
We saw a broad range of caches and enjoyed the trip through the countryside and the towns.
Thanks to the Happy Chappies for placing this cache, luckily there was no one around as we approached GZ and the cache was found just there.

Great venue and yummy cheese but not the nicest spot to scrabble round for a cache.

Up for a visit to the cheese factory. No problem to find.

Did not find it. Lots of rubbish around, too dangerous for searching with a two year old in tow.
Not a nice location. Didn't bother picking through the rubbish.
Great cheese and bread though.
Bought some art.

Yey! Finally an easy find! Have been struggling since we got to Milawa! Now for some cheese! TFTC
Day two of our post Christmas / pre New Year trip... taking our new tent trailer for a test run, weather was very hot and humid. Our travels are taking us up to Ettamogah and across to Old Tallangatta before returning home.
Visiting many towns along the way, taking the Geo wife to places she has never been before, and giving our Geo Pug time to sniff out new territories
Did not expect to be seeing constant temps in the high 30's to low 40's... Geo wife got to see her first live black snake on the road in Australia, and I almost stood on a 5 foot brown snake at one cache on the HCRT, and a red back spider at another.
Stayed at some nice FREE camp sites along the way and a couple of caravan parks as well, learned a lot of things along the way, history and more, but in all a great adventure and we were able to clock up our 1000th find along the way ..
thanks to the CO for this cache

Although there was a nearby muggle reading in the sun, we were able to get to GZ without drawing attention to ourselves. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. TFTC Happy Chappies.
The cache waqs all mucky and slimy - we did try to clean it as much as possible but it does need some TLC attention
Brought to the area by another nearby cache and the growling in our stomachs. Located cache after our repast.
The cache is very mucky and slimy so we cleaned as best we could and replaced it. Good hide though

Just happened to be nearby for lunch. GPS had me going the wrong way. Just as well I was with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. Container had lots of water inside. Drained it out as best we could. TFTC
After a sensational steak sandwich at the Milawa Cheese Factory, we got on the bike to ride it off!! Along the 27km trek to Wangaratta we collected 20 caches.
This was #1 for the day, quick find and took tb.

After replenishing out bodies with food and a quick visit to the mustard establishment we were ready to hit the caching road again. This time the car was headed towards the cheese factory. micheena - after a bite to eat and tasting mustards, we needed cheese. Quickly signed the log and replaced the cache before enjoying a cheese tasting and heading off with bought goodies.

Gps didn't really get us in the right spot, but thankfully one of the locals called out to us to help us on our way. Lovely cheeses. We bought some to take with us, and now we are off to try some wine.
Our fourth find today at 4.35 pm and so glad we came. Actually approached from the wrong side because we logged the place was closed. Then Mrs went round the corner and found paradise! Got cheese and a dip to takeaway and had a cup of tea and bikkies each before going on. Changed the log! Thank you for taking us there Happy Chappies. So sad purpledreamer is no longer with us to maintain it for you. TNLNSL
Wangaratta Area 2013 with Mtrax. Time to get on some of the gourmet stops around here. All of them celebrate great products and we even got out and sampled a few of them, after getting the cache of course. Very nice products here, including plenty that are not cheese based. Thanks.

After a great Christmas at home with the kids, the girlfriend and I headed up to her sister's place in Lima. After a few windy and hot days up there I get a call from my fellow The Demolition Crew team member RebelActs who syas he'll be visiting the area with CrazyNatGirl! We decide to plan a day of caching in the Wangaratta area, and hit the easy drive-by's. I'm so sorry for the generic log, but given I'm over 200 logs behind (no internet or pc for the last few weeks) this is all I can manage. Thanks to all the CO's and their efforts.
This was, cache # 66 of 85 finds for the day in the Company of Trailrunning. Felt like we were on private property lurking around in here. My thanks to Happy Chappies for the cache.
I had once before called by to look for this cache, but there were no customers, and I thought that I would look a bit too conspicuous, so I didn't even drive in. Today, there were a few cars there, and so I gave it a go. Found the cache nice and easily, and was able to sign my log, crouched, and away from curious eyes. I am not into cheese, so this spot holds little interest for me, I do know several other cachers who would go nuts here. Thanks for the cache.
Had a scrounge around before lunch with no luck the GPS wanted to take me to the middle of the new shed so I let it sit and adjust over lunch. This is a great place to sit and relax. After lunch we once again hit the trail and this time we were successful. TNL asstd critters. t4tc

Finished having lunch nearby, then took a quick stroll to find this cache. A bit of hiding from muggles then had it in hand. Tftc!
Found on day 2 of a blitz around Wang and beyond. It was dark and cold when I arrived here, and then to be greeted by one of the residents, making enquires as to my reasons for being here. Cache was quickly found, reasons explained and moving right along. Thanks to happychappies for the cache and for bringing me here.
On our way home from a days caching in Wang and decided we needed to restock the larder. A nice quick find and my wallet a little lighter we were on our way. Thanks Happy Chappies.
On the way home from our holiday in Bright and lunch at the Milawa Cheese Factory seemed the go. Of course, we went looking for the cache first to build up an appetite. Thanks to the good hint we spotted the cache in full view from quite a distance! The log was signed at 1:00pm and then I tried to cover up the hide as best I could but I don't expect to be successful as I noted that previous finders have also logged that they tried to do this. We had a 'masterchef' meal at the MCF's cafe and concluded our lunch with a lovely cheese platter.
TNLN, although some TBs had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Happy Chappies for the cache and cheese, which capped off another interesting and eventful holiday. [^]
