As mentioned previously, I no longer think that the placement of this cache is appropriate. I was amazed at how much the grass has grown since a place this cache - I suspect it would be a bit "snakey" on a hot day.
Container has been gathered, including a "cache monster" path tag for my collection.

What a great story and a nice challenge.
An even better walk to a spot that we have never ventured to before.
A memorable cache.
Took Indian, left Beefeater.
Thank you to Mr Emu and Demon Boy.

Had great fun sorting this out! Did the "rough sum" to check the answers, and the result was good.Did the "co-ordinate check" and the answer was bad? Go figure...went to the GZ and as soon as I came around the corner I knew I had the right spot!
Must try one of the others now...
Many thanks

This was a nice walk along a track that we didn't know existed (even though we have been to Lorne quite a few times). There were many great views to be had, and many photos taken. TFTC.
Found today but solved it months ago with geokids on holiday, not to easy but very good. Thanks
Took the geomunchkins geocaching while the geo wife worked in Lorne for the day. Took one track instead of the other track at a certain intersection, almost walked all the way back to Lorne, got within 99mtrs of GZ at one stage, but was thick bush. Went back and took the other track and found after a bit of a short cut up a steep hill. Grabbed the geocoin to move on
Loved the story and solved this back in March. Attempted it then, on a trip back from camping at Cumberland but approached it from the bottom after slaying the dragon. This proved to be a bit tough and with the caravan on did not want to try from the top. Anyway, enjoyed the views and the walk to the hide. As always with Mr. Emu's caches this was an all round enjoyable experience. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1505. Had fun translating the story. The view would have been much better without the rain which has now set in. Dropped off 'Granny-Man's First Time Caching Geocoin'. Our thanks to Mr Emu as usual.
Had solved this puzzle the previous night before we headed down to Lorne to visit a friend and do some caches on the way. After a meal in Lorne and a coffee with our friend we all headed out for a walk and introduced her to the "culture" of geocaching.
Took 'IT 'S OUR GAME' TB, left a keyring with coloured gel pens and carabine

38 degrees and shedding a few kilos later myself plus one little one managed to find this one!! Left tb for a tour of the ocean rd tftc
I had to enlist the help of Mrs bucketeer to solve this one, and I must say it cracked me up! I did have trouble on the track today though, a large tiger snake was spotted coming the other way, and with me in my best thongs & shorts. It took a fair bit of stomping to convince him to exit stage left. At GZ the GPSr wouldn't settle and I managed to nervously (but carefully and noisily) scour a fair bit of bush, before the Magellan finally settled and pointed to the cache.
On the return journey, 5 year old Miss bucketeer, who was just in front of me, was pointing to a bush, explaining that it was next where we saw the snake. I then looked down at the said bush, only to notice black & tan reptilian scales curled up within said bush.
At this point I let out a girly scream and leapt 3 metres up the track in a single bound, taking Miss bucketeer with me, in a manner that only an adrenalised Ophidiophobic can.
Needless to say shoes & jeans were fitted on returning to the car.
My 11th and last Mr Emu Cache for the trip.
Mr Emu, can you please leave Demon Boy a home when placing caches in future, otherwise I may end up having a heart attack.

The problem with checksums is that it is a crappy way of confirming co-ords. I'm glad you had put the Evince checker as well. Otherwise I would have been a distance out!
We got some lunch in Lorne, and drove up to the start for our picnic. We sat in the little shed as the more exposed tables would of had our chips raining down in Lorne!
We had solved the puzzle on night shift, so we walked to a few lookouts for lots of photo opportunities. The sun even graced us with its presence a few times.
A nice walk.
Thanks, Robmc.

4th of Eight on our trip down the Great Ocean Road. Junior cachers (ok, the adult too) had fun with the story while eating our fish and chips in Lorne.
Dropped and retrieved USA Geocoin.

14.05 Speedy & Bushfire decided to head for Aireys today to place a new cache for Bushfire but once again it still needs a little modification before it’s ready to go. While down in this area we decided to get a few more smiley faces around Lorne.
We arrived at the car park and there were muggles everywhere so we decided to check out the views which were superb. We checked the rotunda but the muggles were still enjoying their picnic so we waited.
On returning to the geoute we could believe how stupid I was and my soul was “oil bustardâ€. Once the correct coordinates were put into the GPS we were off for an easy find. At GZ there are tracks running everywhere so as the cache notes tell you be careful as muggles appear from nowhere.
Thanks again Mr Emu for another devious cache but this time the location is better than the previous two. NI-NO and thanks for the cache. I like the idea of using envince to check your co-ords.

Found with Bushfire whilst on a caching expedition down the coast. After a nice pie in Lorne for lunch we ventured off only to find muggles everywhere. After a false start we were off to the correct co-ords and had to quickly retrieve, log and replace due to the amount of passing traffic. TNLN, TFTC!
Found on a beautiful Autumn day. And another fun story to read. I pass Centre Alley every day on my way to work, so was fun to find a similar problem story to solve. Thanks for the cache...lovely to stop and investigate an area driven past many times. TNLN SL
Finally - third times a charm. Had a difficult time deciphering the story though it was enjoyable. Plus, I attempted to find this cache very near dusk to first two times. Glad I was finally able to keep at and discover the cache. Very nice on the story and questions! In from the USA - this is such a beautiful area. TNLN.
Couldn't find this one though it may be due to my deciphering technique. I was unable to get to the coordinates that I used due to the sticker bushes. Cache would have been 20 KM off the trail. I have reviewed the story and may have enter an invalid coordinate. I hope to attempt again tomorrow or the 18th.
Had a great time reading the clue for this cache, and we were excited about locating the GZ. But when we got there it was telling us to head across a stream and onto private land. We re-checked our coords and the same result. Oh well it was fun anyway!
14:58 We had this one solved before leaving home 2.5 weeks ago, and finally had the chance to grab this one. Unfortunately it wasn't to be, as we just couldn't come up with the goods. Both of us had a good search around, without any luck
I made the trip to Lorne today with the purpose of grabbing this cache and a few others in the area, but when I got here I saw all the other caches required big long walks! Not that I mind, but I just didn't have the time today.
I also failed to read the cache note that told me where to park, I ended up walking the wrong track in the rain and rang the cache owner for advice. Once on the right track it was a much simpler story.
I really enjoyed solving the puzzle for this one, although Amy thought I was going nuts when I was reading it aloud and asked me whether I'd sustained a heavy head injury. All three have been a lot of fun and are very clever.
Many thanks for another enjoyable puzzle!

Massive thanks to RHPS who figured this one out! Evince was down(!?) for some reason but luckily came up in time as we were getting ready to leave.
Lovely walk down from a very nice location.
Also have Rogained through here previously too!

The first time I read it out loud, I had to stop midway because I was crayon and mat cheese were freezing from laughing so hard.

Solved this puzzle not long after it appeared and finally managed to find it to day on our return from Apollo Bay. Found at 1430. What a magic view, never knew this lookout was here.
Found GZ and an easy retrieve, replacing on the other hand, muggles came from everywhere.
TNLN
TFTC and puzzle, off to complete the E.M.U. series tomorrow.

Puzzle too hard for me, but from peoples comments and the hint was able to locate in about 15 mins. Beautiful area. TFTC
Our first puzzle cache solved and completed, yay. Almost started the walk to GZ from the bottom while doing another cache, but definately better from the top.
Found on the third time out here in two days. Found at 5.15pm.
Came out here yesterday lunch time with Shane_Thompson and WB Holden. Looked every where that we thought was GZ. parked down the bottom. No luck. I went back that evening, got out there as dark hit. Grabbed the torch.... Flat batteries, so put new ones in (good thing that I had some).
Parked at the surgested car park and walked in. And walked in and walked some more. Got back down to the river, "this can not be right." thought to myself.GPS had me on Privite Property. So after 1.5 hrs walking and looking for a way around, started the steep walk Up.
Had the wrong Coords, from missing a few major points. But the Sum Check matched. You need your wits if you go out a night so you don't get yourself misplaced. Koalas Growling, night birds flying to say the lest.
Gave Mr Emu a call Told me I missed a bit. So worked it out again and hit the road again.( This road looks like I have traveled it before. This time found.
YAY a FTF.
NINO but Dropped of U.S Army Dogtags TB, as the amount of walking in the terrain that I did not need to felt like I had Just gone through an Army drill.
Thanks Mr Emu and Demon Boy, I did have Fun, even if I did get home at 12.40 in the morning. All good for a FTF. Nice Views to.
