Thanks for maintaining this cache over the last decade! Sad to see it go and alas I failed to avenge my previous DNF but that's entirely my fault. Here's my note from 2018:
I haven't been to Dickson in a while but found myself here getting a document certified by the Justice of the Peace in the library. Then it was to the post office to send the thing so naturally I had to collect the clues while I was here. I tried not to be too odd or suspicious as I walked and looked around to gather the necessary information. gz wasn't far away but it was a Friday lunch time and there were lots of muggles about so I decided to not collect the cache today. Instead I went for a little walk to collect another cache. [Little did I know I wouldn't be back in 3 years!]

Unfortunately the cache has been swallowed by construction so it’s time for it to go, thanks for all the visits.
Can't get to the final coordinates that we calculated due to heavy heavy construction work.
Thanks for the heads up, I forgot that the construction was going to be starting.
Taking this offline for now, may need to re-jig the cache.

I went a searchin' a cache t'day,
I looked and looked for that cache t'day,
A mystery did I say,
A mystery I did not find t'day
I did not find it in the bush,
I did not find it in the tree,
By this time I was starting to ponder,
could it be over yonder?
So off I went trudging over there,
but I could not find it anywhere.

The multi was a little tricky to analyse and affected my calculations resulting in incorrect coordinates which had me a few metres away from GZ. Went back to the car and recalculated after analysing the photos I'd taken. Moved the car closer to GZ and soon spotted GZ. With CIH we signed the log in either our names or our initials in some switcheroo form of LP, DJJ, ToC and then returned cache to its hide'y hole exactly as found. I had marked *Dickson Shops* as my go to place for shopping. The name of this multi caught my attention and took my interest so it was a must do cache. I steer clear of multi's when they are quite a distance from home unless I am returning to the location in the near future. So this one was a bonus.

Heading down ***Shingle Hill Way*** today and into *Canberra* to collect some groceries for camp.

This year I have set myself various challenges - at least 1 multi on each day of my calendar
- at least one mystery on each day of my calendar - finish 5th loop of D/T grid and ensure that I have at least 11 finds on every day of my calendar. So far I am coping well and as I haven't done a lot of caching in the ACT despite living here, I don't expect to run out of available caches soon and luckily I have a good bank of already solved Unknown caches to find.
I have also made a new rule that prevents me from going out unless I have already completed some home duties.
This multi was fun. Once I had the GZ coordinates I thought that I had the worst over and done with. It took me far too long to hone in on this little blighter - so, so obvious once I had the correct GZ. Sam(sung) just didn't want to settle plus i was GZ blind to start with. TFTC allrounder. Was with Empeatree when we found it. Am only logging now as I forgot to do so earlier. I spent a while pretending to tie my shoe when Empeatree wrote in the log.
I felt a little conspicuous collecting the info for this multi during the lunchtime rush, but eventually had everything I needed.
During my afternoon classes I made the calculations and headed off to GZ after class, but 5:30pm is a super busy time here! I opted to come back before class this morning and made the find without hoardes of people passing by.

Hilarious solving with Gliss! Minniek and Countrykittykat. We were quite the little circus! Eventually we found some viable coords and wandered over to GZ. A quick snack at the bakery and we were off to hunt down some more multi’s! It’s just that kind of night. Thanks for the cache

This was a cool little multi with quirky waypoints. Thanks allrounder.

Found with minniek, nibletricecakes and CountryKittyCat as we tackle a few multies in the area. We had a some interesting discussions about whether some of the art was a sheep or not but in the end we must have made the right decisions. TFTC allrounder.
Last night we went looking for it. It was to dark and we couldn't find it.
The next day we woke up.
Then we realized we were looking in the wrong place.
Recalculated and it was a quick grab.

I was in shops doing other things when I noticed the art pieces. I thought the would make a unique geocache so I checked the app and I was correct! I wandered in circles for a few minutes to collect information, solves it in the car and went in for the find. Thanks for the distraction from boring other things. TFTH
Sigh, a muggle was in their car talking on their phone at what I suspected was GZ. I even tried the sneaky watch check and shoe tie, but the sun was in my eyes and I couldn't see anything. Next time I will get you!
I'd passed on this one on several previous trips up here but this time I decided to give it a shot. I picked up the clues last night and calculated a GZ that looked reasonable so with that keyed in to Upoj, a pre-breaky walk this morning soon had me at a likely looking spot where I found the stash at 07:45 after a short search. What was I worried about?

Found while attending the Clear Waters Mega event at Queanbeyan.
Today I teamed up with interstate cachers to focus mostly on two of the groups of the challenge caches. But we also completed some interesting multis, traditionals and unknown caches along the way.
Once again were were fortunate to have some great weather for it.
After completing the targeted challenge caches, there was still time to be able to have a go at a couple of straightforward multis on the way back, including this one.
Thanks allrounder for the cache.

egregory1 was just rolling up the log as I drove past so I got to log the find without doing the hard yards. Yay! Thanks for the cache.
Nice little multi had a bit of a hiccup along the way but got there in the end... Exactly as suspected! Tftc
Nice little multi. A few wrong calculations to start with but we soon found the error of our ways and once corrected, straight to GZ for a quick find TFTC
There were quite a few people around the posted co-ordinates but I managed to do most of the counts. Something was not quite right when I arrived at my calculated GZ but I widened my search and luckily I spied the nano. Yay! I signed the log and replaced. Thanks all rounder.
A great morning of caching in Canberra, before heading out to Bungendore to finish of a powertrail. Even managed to squeeze in a parkrun at Mt Ainslie as well. Started a little fresh, but soon turned into a perfect caching day. All caches were found quick and easy, thanks to all cache owners for putting them out there! Straight forward multi here

Hmmm, this was harder than you would think. Not least due to the size of the final container... but after a PAF after I had circled around for longer than I care to admit I was assured of the data and had a very pertinent hint.
Parking was a nightmare even though I came before lunch, but I guess it always is at Dickson

With 16 DNF's I think this multi is slightly harder than a 2.5!
It has taken me over 4 years to finally complete this cache! In-fact it was one of my VERY early DNF's only about 3 weeks after I started geocaching! [:o]
Back then in 2014 my coordinates were quite some way off and after searching in a bit of a dodgy spot for a while I gave up. I then took a while to return but finally did at the end of 2017 and DNF'd yet again! However this time it looks like my coordinates were only about 30 metres out or so!
After that I finally decided to ask for some help from another finder, and they confirmed my numbers which gave me yet another set of coords! I actually went to REAL GZ in mid 2018 but decided to save the cache for a quick park and grab when I needed it!
Finally, I have decided to return and finish this cache off once and for all! Has only taken me 4+ years but I am happy to have my name in the log

Was in Dickson for some Boxing Day shopping at an antique store with Mum and her friend, and spotted the sheep and dog as we walked to it. It was quieter than usual today, so I decided to give this multi a shot. Walked around the area for a bit and observed the art closely, then walked over to GZ in the heat for a quick find. Lovely art here, which made for a fun multi. TFTC!
I solved this one back in August but on the several occasions since it's just been too busy here. Tonight I was back in the area. I thought 10pm on a Tuesday would be good but nope. There's still a bit of activity. But I did have a quick look and came up empty handed. I'll have to come back again another time and bring my fine toothed comb.
Alas my attempt to find my first cache in the ACT came upas a fail.
Second DNF of the morning. Spent 10min doing laps around the murals and sculptures but couldn't get a logical final GZ.

My second find in the ACT for me.
Returned after my conference today for a quick find.
Sent an email to a previous finder to find the error of my ways. I only found half the sheep so no idea where all the rest are. TFTC

Submitting a passport application at the PO, this cache just outside. Well, sheep, a dog and a bird anyway. Help needed on interpreting some of the questions but a quick find once the correct coordinates had been gained. Took a while in extracting the log, wound a little tighter in placing it back. TNLNSL TFTC
I solved this one many moons ago but never came to make the find. After the CO received a notice the container had been lost I came to help find it. CO was fine with me signing the replacement. Thanks allrounder
Tftc! Managed to drop and lose the cache on the ground. Good news, I replaced it. Will PM details
Due to the brand new cache being lost, this one is disabled until I can fix it properly.
With the genuinely horrible weather of this Saturday morning having given way to just moderately unpleasant weather, it was time for a little geocaching outing and the junction of Lyneham, Dickson and Downer seemed as good a place as any.
I wasn't originally planning on doing any multis on this outing, but seeing this one on the map I thought it was worth a try. After having a great lunch at the vegetarian cafe and realising all the clues were right beside me, the decision was sealed. So... I wandered around in the circles gathering the info. wandered over to GZ and made a quick find. But...
I was heading over to a nearby bench to try and extract the log. I was fiddling with the cache on the way and somehow the log came out. I have no idea how, as it seemed pretty tight in there. I immediately looked for it, but it was a really windy day with gusty, swirling winds. I checked all around among the cigarette butts, then a car pulled into the spot right beside me. The car may well have been on top of it and it would have been seriously dodgy to stay. I continued to look nearby, but with the strength of the wind, it could have gone anyway. Finally I gave up and fashioned a small temporary log to keep things going. When the driver of a car that pulled into the spot directly next to GZ eventually got his multiple kids out of the car and moved on I replaced the cache. TFTC And sorry about the log

Well I posted a DNF log here over three years ago on the 29/09/14 and now I am back posting another one....
Not sure how I seem to mess this cache up again, I guess I am just not very good at counting or identifying what sheep/birds/colours look like!
This time I got a different GZ to what I remember but it led me to the middle of the carpark. It was still a do-able place for a nano but a thorough search on the nearest 4 objects proved nothing to be found except a big black spider in a hole.
Thanks anyway, think it's time to get some help on this one lol

A late arrival in Canberra meant a late dash out for food before realising we had no pen! With a cache in Perth for the ‘well rounded cacher’ we really needed to collect three types of cache in ACT on our flying visit here. This one was between the hotel and the food. We had the place to ourselves late evening and a few circuits gave us a favourable outcome and a quick find at GZ. A grovelling msg and photo has been sent to the CO. TFTC.
1,2,6... hang on. 1,2,3,5.. Ugh. Runner5ive did the counting and I helped with the funding. TFTC
The sheep and dog led me to a spot and if I was where I was supposed to be - and I'm pretty sure I was - I couldn't find it. Either it's well camouflaged and I can't see it (which is probably the case) or it may not be there.
I came to a Knitting meetup nearby, then decided it was about time I did these couple of multis here ... walked around, counted stuff, did the sums ... ended up somewhere that may have provided a hiding spot, but there was nothing in any of the only possible places ... so I decided to check my counting (again), and my maths (more than once) ... and realised that the problem is working out just what to count as what ... some things are obviously sheep, planes, dogs, etc ... but ... then things start getting a bit surreal ... tried the new spot, that matched description/logs a bit better ... had to be a bit cautious because there was a muggle parked in front ... couldn't see a cache ... went back for yet another of the multiple checks of maths and counting ... then headed back to that same more likely spot and found the cache right where I thought I had looked the first time I looked there ... lol
TFTC - I had fun looking at the weird artwork, and wandering around Dickson in the rain - lol

Spent some time trying to work out the coords for this one, with a few numbers having multiple possibilities. Got d wrong until we spotted a useful previous log but still no luck at out calculated GZs. Will need to wait for a future trip to the ACT. Tftc anyway
I came up with a set of two possible options for GZ, depending on the interpretation of a sheep image. Headed off on the first and was glad to spot a likely looking hiding place before making a quick grab. TFTC allrounder
Today we thought we'd head out with The Woofer and Saf's bike, and grab a few solved puzzles as well as some trads and multis in the area. 20 caches, 20km and 4.5hrs later we were done - and despite a complete moron on her phone almost killing Chris and The Woofer on a pedestrian crossing when she SPED UP as they were half-way across, we had a great morning!
We headed to this one, sure we knew what we were looking for with the puzzle - but of course we got it wrong, and our coords took us to the nearby service station. Hmm, can't be here, we just found one here! So we headed back across the pedestrian crossing when...well, let's just say, Saf almost returned home alone this morning! A note to all drivers - STAY OFF YOUR PHONES when you're behind the wheel!! And thanks to the guy and his wife who helped us out afterwards. Not too much blood shed...the driver was lucky none of it was hers!
Anyway, once our hands stopped shaking we tried the puzzle again, and noticed a sneaky foot that we hadn't seen from a distance. So we made our way to the new GZ, and lo and behold, there it was!
Thanks allrounder, that was a fun puzzle, and one we won't forget for a while...for more than one reason!

Out with Aquilus1. After a wander around the shops to pick up the answers we had our coords and off we went. As we looked a little in a probable area we discussed whether one of the sheep was actually a sheep or a cloud. We sat nearby and redid our sums obtaining a better set of coords and we soon the cih. Tftc!!!
An interesting multi with dty73. Took a walk right around to make sure we had all the answers. Got a little short of the coordinates with one rather abstract character but once ruled out and reculated found gz about 20 metres away and a likely location proved to hold our little cache. TFTC!
Suscoe enjoyed this wander this afternoon.
We waited til it was after parking hours and took in the sights of this interesting artwork.
Did the numbers and found the cache.
How good is that.
Thanks to allrounder for this multi.
Time to head a bit further before tea.

Thanks for the heads up (although a Needs Maintenance log would make it more obvious)...log replaced...cache on!
Finally found this one at night with Torrevieja after a yummy laksa from the Noodle House. We attempted this in the past but couldn't find the cache (pretty sure we were in the right spot, too). Anyway, hands were on it quickly. TFTC!
Found it, on the second trip down. We were not very subtle at all but no one gave us any looks so she'll be right. I found it and just kinda went ah I hate myself for not seeing in the first time.
I'm sick today. My quack has just given me a piece of paper to prove it, and there go my last two sick leave days. Never mind. I'm not fit for work, but I can just about stand some slow short walks in the sunshine. It's a really nice day, and a little very gentle exercise might make me feel better. I've parked nearby, and out I get. It's a nice slow walk over to the sculptings and other artwork. Hmm. Which ones are sheep, which ones are dogs, and which ones are other things? At least I can pick the aeroplane. I ended up with a few answers instead on one, given how hard it was to pick some of the sheep. Never mind, I'll just try all my answers till I find the cache, or not. As it turned out, my first answer was the right one. Good hide!!! Thanks, allrounder. As well, I've filled in another zero on my days of the year caching calendar. It's down to 29 zeros now. I suspect I was lucky to find this. After the find, I went to the library for some books to curl up with. Found more artwork on the way back to the car.
Finally got around to finding this one after DNFing it last year. TikvaNZ and I had roughly figured out the general area after varying a couple of the more variable numbers at the time but did not make the find. After confirmation that one of the options was a goer, I headed back to GZ this afternoon on my way into Braddon for a drink.
Had to time the search carefully due to a high level infestation of muggles, but managed to lay a finger on it in the last place I was going to search. Thanks Allrounder for the challenge!

A couple of months back, AngelG27 & I attempted this one. We were a little unsure of our answers, and were a little off. Although we did extend our search area to include GZ, we were not as thorough as we would have been had we been sure of the answers. Recently I gave it another go, and came up with a slightly different answer, but again, not being at all certain I wasn't thorough enough and didn't find it. So after mentioning it to Allrounder, I sent through our answers and they were confirmed. Riding home from work today, I stopped for another look and within seconds I had it in hand. Overall, more challenging that it first appears. About time I crossed this one off as I shop here most weeks. TFTC
#854. 20 days in a row.
I was in the area, killing time before my plans for the day and I decided to have another go at this one (the last time I'd had a look it was raining, so I hadn't even tried for GZ). I had a quick look at the coordinates I'd got the previous time I'd come and decided that it was unlikely that the cache was there. I then went and recalculated the coordinates and found that two of the digits were wrong. After I'd corrected them, it was a simple matter to grab the cache.

Im fairly sure we had the right coordinates, but unfortunately we could not find it. I hope there was only 1 bird and we were not just wrong.
I went to lunch time and walk around workout on multi-cache all done, yay I found it cache whoo hoo. Thank you allrounder
Oh dear, another FTF - fail to find! With the numbers we had, we are pretty sure of the general area, but will have to come again and recount those sheep while awake!

We had great fun counting sheep, dogs, birds and feet and I'm pretty sure we ended up with a reasonable set of coordinates. Unfortunately we couldn't find the cache at our GZ and, after expanding our search radius with no better luck, decided to call it a day.
Thanks allrounder for the cache, anyway

Well that was very tricky. There's some interesting sheep pictures there. It took me 2 goes to figure it out, but the second location was on the money. Thanks for the cache bb.
Woohoo! Tried tackling this one a few weeks ago and ended up in a nearby servo - hmmm... something's not right. Swung past today to pop into woolies and decided to have another crack at the clues. Figured out where we went wrong (apparently dog paws are too much for us) and had a much more likely set of coords. Then the various devices decided to cause us some trouble but in the end we got to GZ and made a quick find. Thanks for the brain strain allrounder
I went to get this one last night. It was a very cold night and I had trouble interpreting the sheep - as others had in the past. Once I figure I had coordinates that looked reasonable I went to look. But there was a car parked right next to it, with someone in it. I went away for a good 15 mins and when I got be the person was still there. So I went away empty handed.
Today I ended up coming past the cache again and this time I stopped and found it.

There was some confusion in our minds about what constitutes sheep here - obviously enough confusion for us to miss the cache. Maybe next time ...
Found at 1920. The shopping center was surprisingly busy, but the seating area was quiet and I was able to collect the information required without distraction - at least until a family wandered in and the toddler decided to ride the dog right when I was heading in that direction, Still, they seemed unperturbed by my activities.
With numbers in hand I headed for GZ, but a careful search revealed nothing - so I headed back to the artworks to double-check my calculations and soon picked my mistakes, with the new coords only 10m or so from where I'd initially searched in a spot I'd dismissed because of the distance.
There was a couple in a car right in front of GZ which would make searching difficult - they'd been there on my first attempt as well, so I assumed that they'd soon be on the move and settled nearby to wait them out. After what seemed like forever they headed for the shops and I was free to make a quick grab and sign the log, then followed that up with a subtle walk-by return. All was in good order - thanks for the cache allrounder.

# 11308 Found on our 2015 Winter escape trip.
As it is Pi day I had to find a few caches and also attend an event.
I found this one in between the 2 events, and the coords were just perfect.
Thanks for the cache allrounder,

First for the day and worked out coords while getting coffee at the nearby cafe. Coords looked good so decided to check it out and lo and behold, there was the cache as expected. Found with Donnazev who came over for a spot of caching.

Not sure if we had the right coordinates, but we couldn't seem to find it took a good look around
Out to lunch with a friend in Dickson.
So, why not do a nearby cache???
Dickson's Sheep & Dog was close, so we gave it a try.
After some discussion as whether that cloud was a sheep and if so was it looking at that aeroplane?
We attempted the cache. No our first try did not work but the second was an easy find.
Thanks for the cache allrounder.
This deserves a favourite for getting me to appreciate this bit of art. [^][^][^]
