This cache is on private property. The carpark of the club is private property (there are now signs up to inform people of this), so the barbeque area, which must be accessed through a gate kept locked at most times, or by walking around the back of the club house is definitely private.

Three months on, how is the check going?

DNF at 2.10pm. Wasn’t very comfortable entering this place – the regular guys looked at us as though we were some threat and possibly wanted to know where our golf clubs were?
Managed to sneak around and have a quick look, but couldn’t find anything, just a couple of golf balls that were not wanted when I offered them to the suspicious guys.
Could the owner please check if this cache is still there and also is it allowed to be there?

Had a pretty good look amongst the snails, dead butterflies and spiders, but no luck unfortunately! Thanks for a nice walk though Smile
Also, thanks for reminding me that this place exists. Went job hunting on Tuesday and they ended up giving me a job Very Happy

Very busy today at the course so I resorted to the clue. I only had a two minute check but came up empty handed.

Might have to come back at night.

Tonight we finally managed a proper attempt at the cache. Every time we had arrived at the carpark previously there had been heaps of muggles at gz. This time there was only a few cars in the carpark but when we headed to gz the bar-staff were cleaning tables and looking right at us. We retreated and as we were about to leave they appeared and headed to their cars. We waited until they had left and grabbed the cache without a problem, aside from the swarm of mosquitoes that descended. As I type this log the welts are still growing. TFTC Grub Fred. [278]

Parked in the BHP Billiton complex and walked in round the back. Was surprised to see an area with an electric fence which appeared to contain a variety of native australian animals! Eventually I got to the cache - quite a muggle frenzy zone just outside the putting practice green! Soon found the cache and was outa there.....

Found in the early moring light with Code 1 in ultra stealth mode as a bloke was cleaning the outside of the club.

With a cleaner using a cobweb broom on the club house I almost had to use ninja mode on this one. With some well timed moves as his back was turned I got to GZ and was well hidden from his view. Located the cache and signed the log before repeating the process and making it back to the car unseen.

Thanks for the challenge and TFTC

Attempted this tonight, lots of spiders at night... almost walked into a huge one!

Was looking around for it could not locate it, was being very cautious of spiders but before finishing our search the sprinklers came on so we had to high-tail it out of there!

07-Oct-09
As previously logged, the only problem is the muggles in the 19th hole!
Hoped I looked inconspicuous enough.

Found it a big search by 5 geokids. Interesting location for a hide - in view of the club house.

TFTC, much enjoyed

Arrived and started to search ground zero when one of the green keepers decided he was going to spray the weeds nearby. Had to make a strategic withdrawal. Try again soon.

Found by Mrs MADSTARS after a little searching. Loved the camo Berocca - very cleverly done. We will have to get hold of some of that camo tape for our M&M containers. Great place, clubhouse is different. Thanks for bringing us here. Cache and logbook all in good nic.

Couldn't find anything at GZ.Will keep tabs on this cache and see if anyone else has luck

One has to don the Scottish long shorts and enter the grounds. Phone GPSr muggle deception technique was needed. As it was early morning, most of the golfers were more worried about ensuring their details for the comp were entered on the sheet than a muggle on a phone Big Grin

Plenty of muggles at the golf club, but the clue made it easy to pinpoint the location. TNLNSL TFTC

The cache needs its 24/7 attribute removed, as the gates are locked at night. (As well as the carpark and etc. being private property.)
