Cache was found without any broken bones!!.. horray winner!!. All looks to be in good working order, quite a bit of water flowing from the recent rain, but doesnt affect finding the cache luckily!!
Lucky there was no water....kids had a blast and we stuck to the clues....sneaky spot.
Found It!
A interesting little spot you wouldn't know about if not for the cache! And after a bit of wandering around I spotted it!

Finally found it after fracturing two ribs the first time I came a few weeks ago
Ignoring the advice in the description we decided to attempt this one. I was in thongs but hey they are birkensticks lol. We approached room the path leading down from the top and the headed across the hill above the creek. We got the GPS to 6m but nothing matched the hint without scaing the wall. We were on a treasure CITO hunt and found a tennis ball which was on our list.
We found the box this time! AnnDenee and KoakaKangaroo. Saw a fox along the rim too.
Our first geocache adventure and we found it!
Sadly there was no log book to record us being there. I wonder if anyone is taking care of the site.
Update 17/11/2018 -- we went back to our first geocache and this time, using the hints we didn't know about last time, we found the box!! And as a bonus, we saw a fox running along the rim of the gorge.

Holy Moly It's definitely grown over can't even make out where the track is meant to be still fun none the less. Definitely recommend strong shoes and beware of the prickly plants! Luckily we found it!
Over from south island nz for sisters 60th birthday celebration. This was one or the closest to our hotel. Nice walk and went straight to it . Tftc.

Had been wanting to grab this cache for a while, and today it was nice and quiet. Using the hint it was a quick find. Nice rock walls along the bank here.
Thanks **Hypo_Mix**

In the area today and decided to grab this cache, did not take too long to find and glad it was winter and no sign of snakes in the grass... a little hazardous walking here with rocky ground under long grass...

Well not found this time even with the help of 2 geokids, RAD (Return another Day)
After a fun morning bottling beer, what's a great way to top it off, than to grab a cache. This one was made us wonder how to approach it given the description but it was very straight forward. Nice lovely spot of a rural feel in suburbia. Nice quick find. Thanks,

Found it, still there and worth the search. The grass is a bit tall but don't let it put you off.
Out and about today cleaning up the caches around Melbourne. This cache was a fun one to get to, not just an easy walk in the park. Be careful near this cache as the other hole in the cliff contains A LOT OF BEES!!! TFTC
After a failed attempt a couple of years ago when geo-neice got stung by bees and Geomum and I were both allergic, I decided that today was a good idea to attempt this. Cooler weather, some successful logs all made it sound like it could be done. Sent geo-hubby while I napped in the car. Whoo hooo!! Came up trumps this time. TFTC
A nearby hide that I had DNF'd and I've never gotten around to looking for it again so today I set off with the task of cleaning up some of my local hides that I hadn't been able to find or hadn't yet attempted. It's been more than 2 years since I was bee'd out of making the find here and I've looked at it regularly since then but never gotten back. Today being quite cold I figured the bees, that apparently are still around, would be pretty inactive and once I clambered down to GZ that seemed to be the case as only a couple were flying around. After a quick look I spotted the hide and was happily converting this one into a smilie eventually. Thanks for the cache Hypo Mix.
They're not European wasps - they are bees. Leave them alone, they leave you alone. Quite an adventure getting to this one. Had to add a photo of the tree. Just too cool. Tftc!
A bit of a clamber indeed ~ beware of what appears to be European wasps or similar nesting nearby to the right to add to the challenge ~ took Edwin's wooden shoe travel bug and left Smiley badge ~ TFTC
Finally had a chance to look for this one. It kept cropping up on my PQ list and I never looked for it. Free time today so I parked close by and walked along a path just as you suggested. not too bad at GZ where there were a few active bees in the nearby hole. That made me move on a little quicker.
Good co-ords and even better clues meant that I soon had this cache in hand.
This was a lovely spot right on the bend and the cliff straight up. The red river gum leaves were gracefully swaying in the wind today. the water down and just moving. Really enjoyed this find today.

Made a special trip out here to grab this cache as I am trying to fill blank spots in my Jasmer Grid. I parked in the wrong street, which was closest to the cache, but had no access, so back in the car and found a better access point. A hop and a skip across the rocks and gz had a nice little cave, and after searching in the low rocks I spotted a better spot for the cache and there it was. Thanks for putting a cache here, it is a nice little spot, one I never knew existed.
This one went from uneventful to very eventful. Geohubby got too close to the beehive and was attacked, then screamed like a girl when mistaking a lizard for a snake whilst putting the cache back.
Wanted to complete a few in this area while on holidays. Well between being terrified of snakes, seeing signs of human habitation- couch table blanket- falling over on rocks - massive bruise on my thigh- and losing my sunglasses on the way back to the car (am sure I had them while crossing back across the creek, I'm surprised I actually did find the cache. Thanks, I think, for bringing me to this spot. At least I'll remember my escapade for some time to come!! Even took a photo on the way back to the car. Must have lost glasses then!!
Wow what an adventure getting this one, ended up ankle deep in the creek.
No bees today.
No bees today.
Suscoe's 19th find of the day as we were wandering around the area slowly getting closer to our destination.
Worked our way to the parking area and luckily we selected well as the creek was flowing with gusto this morning.
A walk through the grass resulted in very wet footwear and trousers.
Found the bees and they were quite happy to be left alone.
The cache hide was soon spotted and the signing of the log was done in nice sunshine.
What a delightful spot indeed.
Thanks to Hypo Mix for placing this cache in this location.

Had a lot of trouble getting the GPS to decide where I sas going here. I parked on the wrong side, then approached from the top before picking my way around to the bottom. Despite the description my GPS seemed to want me to do a bit of climbing. With quite a big population of bees still around I decided to retreat for today.
Bees have moved into the 'cave'. We saw the cache and one of us got stung trying to retrieve it. Left the area ASAP as I am allergic to bees.
Found with Mr Roo and Tankengine. This was our third and final day on a long weekend trip to Melbourne. TFTC
I like the cliffs. Quite an easy access and a great spot to visit.

I really liked these cliffs - very different to the cliffs back home. Terrain was only about 2.5 for us today, so can't complain. Thanks HM!
Found with Mr_Roo, and Captain Tomato on our blitz 3 day visit from Canberra (and two of those days were mostly driving). This was our last day, and we decided to grab a quick few caches before heading home.

My 30th Cach and man did i park in the wrong spot, Rite over in Green Gully Reserve, But from here I was able to get to it, Lucky for a gap in the houses way on over... Upgrade the terrain if you park here. Find the cach, Follow the bees and look down and acorss, I dont recconmend a closer look at the bees. Now ive walked to this cach Im buggerred and dread thinking of the long walk back. TFTC, and the exercise.
Found at 10:34am while out for some caches on the way to a lunch with my family, then heading onto the Buried Treasure event at Point Lonsdale. I had a long and adventurous day that included a security guard, a speeding fine, great caches and a generally good day (despite the fine).
I headed for this cache first and was really impressed with the geology here. I spend quite a while examining the different types of basalt. Hypo_Mix, if you ever decide to turn this cache into an EarthCache, let me know, I'm happy to help. My first of 6 favourite points issued today.
Also, please note: there is a bee hive in the cliff fairly close (1-2m) to the cache hide. They seemed fairly relaxed, so just keep away from their home. The cache isn't there.
Thanks for the cache Hypo_Mix.

Taking a slightly longer route via the steps and following the now overgrown path down we reached this wonderful spot without needing to perform any death defying feats. I really liked this locaton hidden away amongst all the development. Thanks for the cache and for showing me this place.
Great fun wandering down to this one , complete with stream fording! The sun came out briefly as I found the cache. An omen! Thanks and cheers!

That was fun! I approached from the south, so fortunately didn't have to attempt to cross the swollen creek... enough of a workout to make it worthwhile without being too tough.
Once I reached the cool GZ area, the cache was fairly rapidly in hand, and I got to enjoy the return clamber. Cheers.

Found @ 10:50hrs.Didn't need to cross the creek but had to be wary of the bees/wasp nest close to cache, not prepared to get close enough to find out which. This is a favourite of mine. Thanks Hypo_Mix.
GOT IT! Live 400m down the path, visit this spot often when I need to get out. Been sitting next to this cache the whole time! Very tricky but me and my mate found it! Left 2 light bulb shaped paperclips for all to enjoy!

Having lived nearby nearly 40 years ago, it was fascinating to see the changes and the development. Thanks for bringing us back. The wild bees have found a great use for one of the nearby indentations.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Hypo_Mix.

First ever find. Great spot. But as you said, VERY overgrown and a bit hazardous underfoot with all the rocks. Good snake country too
A huge day of caching that started in the wee hours of the morning and ended at about 9:30pm with one exhausted trail runner. I had agreed to pick up my caching buddy jsmyong55 at a reasonable hour and when we had finished he and he had added another 120 caches or so to his tally. It was a nice way to end our partnership as J is heading back to Malaysia soon. It will be hard to find someone to cache with that can fill his shoes.
I apologise to all the CO’s for using a generic log but after the 130+ caches for the day for me I’m too exhausted to even think of writing an individual log for each. Thanks to each and every one of you.

After taking caching break due to exams, I am back on for my final few days of caching before I leave. Trailrunning and I had been discussing about attempting this for a long time and we are finally able to find a day off to get it over and done with. Very exhausting day but it was all good. We were very happy with our accomplishment.

Found at approx 2100 with sathuli and Connor g( my son)!!!! We carried the 2 and a Half year old in the dark through all the prickles and I wore silly flats in a dress! Silly me!
On a bit of a holiday in and around Melbourne. Just arrived today and decided it would be a bit rude not to look for some geocaches! Found this cache fairly quickly, but hundreds of bees within 3m of cache. SL Thanks for showing me areas I wouldn't be likely to visit otherwise.
excellent location - difficult challenge but well worth the effort. Most surprised by area... wasn't aware such rugged land this close to home. TFTC.
Nice spot, apart from walking through spider webs and spending 10mins freeing myself from them before getting back in the car.. (Hate spider webs). TNLN, T4TC.
I always bring a pen, always..... Except today. Will come back to sign log tomorrow. TFTC
Found it @ approx. 17:55
Arrived at the top of the cliff, stumbled my way to the bottom via the creek.
Found the cache easily enough, after a brush with the local bee hive.
Signed the log quickly, Most of the bees were otherwise engaged, most of them anyway.

One of many found today during my 'Intervening Days III' cache hunt. Once the way done had been found, made my way to the cache hide and found it tucked away. TFTC.
Some cool log hopping got us over the creek. A bit of searching and finally found it.

It was a fun location to get to. Watch out for bees near the cache site!
Looked at this one from the top, and thought about it, but left the rock climbing gear at home.
Drove the Pajero to a more sensable spot and walked to GZ, had a good look around for a while and finally found the sneaky hidey hole.

Not to much water in the creek, but be careful if the kids follow, as the ground is very undulated and slippery with wet grass, and hidden rocks
An easy find, in a great location that most locals possibly do not know exists.
