After many repairs I have decided to disable to archive this cache.

For those who never found it, inside the container was a rat trap (disabled, but made to look like it was loaded) with a micro cache instead of cheese.

Repeatedly the cache was damaged (mainy due to poor design), cluttered with swaps, once the micro was stolen, but most worryingly, at least twice the trap was loaded before being replaced despite my best efforts to make sure this wasn't possible.

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed the cache, it made the effort worthwhile.

Cache inside a cache. Another tough one. TFTC.

I found the cache pretty quickly, then went to watch the Uni students play soccer nearby.

I love being a spectator at amateur sporting events, I'm always watching ordinary people play tennis, baseball, cricket and soccer at the grounds just over my back fence.

TFTC.

12-Aug-11
Found with Minifig Ant. Alot of walking this way and that way trying to find tracks that mostly eluded us-who moved those tracks!? Found the cache eventually...clever little trap.

TFTC

12-Aug-11
Found with RedcrowX after a bit of back-and-forth, up and down and searching for a non-existent track. Great hiding spot - the trap was set! Took nothing, left a minifig. TFTC!

10-Aug-11
A beautiful lunchtime stroll beckoned, so grabbed Just a cacher and decided to walk up a hill. We had to dodge all the lunchtime joggers but we soon left the main track and headed for GZ where we managed a quick find of the cache.

After ratting around for the log book - oh its that shiny thing (doh!) we made our mark and headed off.

Thanks for a fun cache fusilade.

10-Aug-11
The Bunny wanted a lunchtime stroll, so we decided to head off for this one, after dodging all the lunchtime joggers we soon left the main track and headed for GZ where we managed a quick find of the cache.

After watching the Bunny rat around for the log book - I spied the little shiny thing and left him to do the duties.

Thanks for the cache fusilade.

4625. [font=Century Gothic][green]I had spoken to Zsazsa7 about this one and he had said that there was no easy way in. I disagree now and had a short stroll to GZ and a fun hide found shortly thereafter. Actually it took me longer to find the log book than it did to find the cache. I'm so thick sometimes - and then other times I'm just dense.

Cache 1 of 4 for today in an effort to wear out the geokids during the school holidays. TFTC!!

29-Jun-11
Nice idea, especially the extras in the box. Thanks

26-Jun-11
I don't think it's working. TaurusSix and I will continue to cache even after this one. Left GC.

Second find for the day! Nice trap [:o]

22-Apr-11
Another enjoyable walk on a couple of hours of 'walk to' caches. Thanks

01-Apr-11
Spider webs and some steep bits summed this one up. The cache container was a beauty and some work has gone it to get rid of any cachers [^] that may fall to the dark side.

A nice little walk. TFTC!

I've since heard that this cache caused a bit of a stir when it first came out but being a Rat I thought it was alot of fun.
But this Rat lives to fight another day.
Thanks

Found at 8.00am by Geodad. What a walk in! I cut through the bush and there were so many spiders and roos!! Amazing for first thing in the morning!! What a cache!! TNLN SL TFTC

22-Mar-11
I love it. Contents are brilliant. Nicely done!
For some reason I had some trouble getting a good fix with the GPS on this one, and I have a few scars to show from the terrain. Definitely time to replace the geocaching shoes.

TFTC!

This Cache has not been found since Boxing Day 2010. Well I can say it is still in good shaspe and living the dream in the Canberra bushlands. TFTC fusilade

26-Dec-10
A substantial walk, hide and container. Better than average quality. I didn't read the text till now so now I know what that thing was doing in there. Not sure what the bait was though escept for a cache. Was that it?

Sixth cache out of 13 on my first caching adventure since recovering from Glandular Fever. A great day to be out and about. TFTC

Found it on my lunch break, nice walk! Tnln tftc!

Oops, it almost got me. But then: I am one of these clever rats - äh, cachers - who are not easily fooled into a trap Wink.

Nice cache, snap....

03-Nov-10
We had been looking at this one for a while, and wondered exactly what sort of surprise was in store for us! The walk from CSIRO was pleasant, but perhaps we hadn't allowed quite enough time, as by the time we reached GZ it was almost dark. Fortunately the iphone was working well and took us almost to the exact spot. Log signed, contents investigated, no bandaids needed, and a smile on our faces. TNLN Thank you.

Great lunch time mountain bike ride around Little Black Mountain on the dirt tracks on a fabulous day - great location.

Got a bit of a shock when I opened the cache a after a very tentative touch, soon had the log in hand. Took Bring May Flowers GC so I can get some pics at what's left of Floriade for it. Thanks for the cache!

09-Oct-10
Easy find. TFTC

11-Sep-10
Clever in several respects!

24-Aug-10
Decided to grab this one during the day, as I figured the owner who used cacher-B-gone may not notice another set of footprints nearby. Wasn't expecting any difficulties, until as I was approaching GZ I saw another searching in the neighbourhood. Snapped a photo and left him to his ants as I took a couple more steps to GZ. With me locating the cache and Mr Echidna searching for ants, we made a bit of noise, but still Cacher-B-Gone hadn't begun to have an effect until, opening the cache, I saw the danger before me. Quickly and carefully retrieved log, signed and returned. Also dropped of Fore's Flowers as a) I had the Geocoin with me and b) there were lovely Hardenbergia ("Happy Wanderer") flowers nearby and I thought this was a fitting place to leave Fore's Flowers. #487: Walked up to this one after finding a cache on the other side of Barry Dr. I hope this product doesn't go past the prototype phase.

17-Jun-10
On a cold and rainy day I went for a lunchtime run - bad weather is no excuse!

And while out for a run, took the opportunity to grab this one that's been on my to do list for quite a while. As I approached 20m or so to GZ, the GPS decided not to cooperate, likely due to the weather conditions. So a general scout around and the location soon became obvious. Sure enough, cache was found fairly quickly. Love the idea, and managed to come away with all 10 fingers still intact!

Cheers for a fun hide.

14-Jun-10
Thanks for the cache. A nice part of the black mountain reserve.

07-Jun-10
Clever trap. SNAP! Last one for the day with P from PUDDLE GANG. TFTC

07-Jun-10
Nice walk up the hill with Puk Ed on the day we ran away from work. Since we're both so unfit it turned into a bit of a forced march but we made it to the cache ok. Like other cachers I did a bit of a 'what the?' when opening the cache but Puk Ed wasn't afraid and disengaged the log book easily.

Dropped off a geocoin I've held onto for way too long and put in an exclusive Puddle Gang pathtag fresh from the presses.

TFTC

22-May-10
Reperio at 1520. A quick scramble up the hill and once at GZ, I must admit I did stop with a 'what the' pause before relaxing a little. Luckily there was no problem extracting the log sheet and still managed to keep all my fingers in the process.

Gratias for a fun cache Fusilade.

A late afternoon hike in a new part of the reserve (for me). Nice hide after a bit of a scramble, but no log present! TNLN and TFTC

Found 1300 during lunch break beautiful Autumn day. Good exercise for this wombat. Cache in good condition. Collected TB Crystal Lodge. Thanks For The Walk.

Followed a wombat track (literally) to get to this one. A very neat cache container. Took nothing, left Crystal Brook Travel Bug Dog Tag. Thanks! Cheers, aussieangel

It was such a lovely afternoon, it was perfect for getting out for a little walk. So I knocked off a few minutes early and went searching for the irresistable lure of Cacher-B-Gone. The band aids in the cache were a bit of a concern, fortunately for me they werent required Wink

All up a very pleasant little walk and great to find this cache.

Thanks very much Fusilade

Found while out sampling the 2009 Caching Awards nominees. GPS was crazy today, not sure why, maybe the tower. Anyway in the end I just looked with my eyes and found it soon enough. Poked it with a stick to be sure Smile.

Thanks for the cache.

26-Jan-10
I'm afraid I have to register a complaint. I think it is a bit irresponsible for the cache hider not to include an implement for burying the previous finders who were lying about, littering the slopes of Black Mountain. I managed to bury most of them but one put up a bit of a fight saying he wasn't quite dead.

Most enjoyable cache, thanks for the adventure.

07-Jan-10
Not sure, if Cacher-B-Gone works the way it should - now it attracts even international cachers....

Took Coin, no trade
Thanks heaps for the cache (made me laugh)

05-Dec-09
Oh very funny - certainly took us aback momentarily until logic kicked in and we had a little chuckle. Very good - always fun to see something a little "different" to the run of the mill. Doubt this one will ever get muggled. No swaps made but we picked up the Mum's Dreams TB and left the CZ coin.

26-Oct-09
The second of a lunchtime run. I have to admit that although confident that "it" wasn't/couldn't, the paranoid part of my mind did convince me to poke it with a stick first Surprised. Took Madstars and Deckelsmouken's Happy Caching Black Cat Geocoins as I will be caching tomorrow. TFTC!

13-Oct-09
I fear cachers may be gaining some kind of resistance to Cacher-B-Gone (TM) as several have been able to sign the log in the past months.

Nice lunch time walk from the uni. TNLN
A great cache in a great location. Thanks Fusilade for the fun cache.

11-Oct-09
Very clever idea, thought this was great! Got us out on a lovely evening stroll. Took nothing but dropped two geocoins.

09-Oct-09
Nice idea that had me being too cautious to start with until Jim grabbed it and removed the log for me to sign. Nice walk and even better on the return trip Wink. TFTC Smile

05-Oct-09
Yikes!! Managed to skillfully remove log and fill it out without losing any body parts. Took the "Barrel" TB as have been after him for some time...

04-Oct-09
Cache back online.

14-Aug-09
Rats! I accidentally downloaded this cache into my GPS & didn't realise it had been taken off-line until we got to GZ, searched the obvious hiding spot, came up empty handed - THEN checked the last log & realised there was no cache to find! It looks like I'll have to come up this hill again now...

24-Jul-09
Cache taken away for repairs and replacement parts. Unfortunately my geocacher trap needs to be more resistant to geocachers.

To whoever took the log book, I understand that those micro geocaches are cool, but you can buy them online, you don't need to steal them.

19-Jul-09
Amandasathome took the Cheap Sunglasses bug but she passed it onto me so it stays in Australia

19-Jul-09
Tough walk! Glad my wife didn't try to drag baby along in backpack. Good exercise though. Visited with amandasathome and whispering_shifter. Left Hamburglar/took Uncle Sam figurine. TFTC!

19-Jul-09
This was my first ever geocache. Cacher-B-Gone is a great idea! I'm sure there's plenty of people who would invest in a full sized one! Lovely walk too. Thanks Fusilade.

19-Jul-09
Found it with a big group of family members (some geocachers, some not). Tough terrain for my clumsy little geokid. SL, took pink glasses TB (might hand off to someone else to re-cache in ACT) left USA state quarter from Virginia, large green ball with face and a few other misc toys for any other geokids who survive the trek. Also belatedly discovered a tool in my son's pocket which is labelled "Do Not Remove from Cache". Whoops! Not sure how I can get it back up there before I leave the area. Will leave it with local family for eventual return. TFTC!

15-Jul-09
GeoKids driving me crazy today at home on holidays so I dragged them out with GeoHound for find number 80. Great spot and loved the walk through the bush.

Dropped off TB - TFTC!

11-Jul-09
The band aid came in handy for geo-girl. Thanks!

Also added a notebook as there was no log.

10-Jun-09
An nice little lunchtime walk in an area I've been caching a couple of times before.
I'm glad the trap wasn't loaded

Went out after work for a cache got to belconnen way and got off the bike and chained it to a tree. A short stroll over a little hill to the cache got the joke and tried to get to home before dark. I didnt make it. And the bike handlebars started getting loose on the way home. Sigh looks like a trip out to fyshwick is on the plans, to get it fixed TFTC
Visited mr_roo's Addiction Geocoin

Mrs Bent, babybent and I walked up to the cache from CSIRO. Mrs Bent spotted the cache as I was on the phone! Nice bit of bushland just below my favourite running trail in Black Mountain. TFTC

24-May-09

Chuckle. I really like caches like this - a view unseen before, a slope, open bush, a good ride, a cache in hand (carefully!). Ta.

23-May-09
Oops - a little slow logging this find - Bubble & Squeak have already logged for the day after my find!

Anyway, enjoyed an explore into an area I hadn't been to before. Found without any trouble, signed, restored and departed. Thanks Fusilade.

17-May-09
AR found it. 8th for the day by the 8 year-old, who didn't get the joke - but I did. Very clever.

25-Apr-09
Nice one fusilade.

Gotta do better than that to catch-a-cacher. Lotsa fun thanks.

23-Apr-09
Logging this months after find (although using found date'ish). Didn't realise that I hadn't logged until I was cruising through maps along where I would be driving today (July) and didn't see a smiley face. Apologies for late entry.

20-Apr-09
Went caching with a sufficency of boys. Kept poking them in till one of them retrieved the cache.

18-Apr-09
Parked nearby and had a reasonably short walk up to the Cache, loved the setup I wonder how many that would have whacked. The bandaids would have come in handy. Wondered where the log was initially but it was obvious when you think about it. TFTC

The last for the afternoon with Ju and we took an extra walk and approached from above, must easier in the end (I thing).

As usual Ju made the find as we approached and soon had the cache in hand but no first aid was required - thankfully.

Great idea and well executed. I was thinking of what I would put in such a cache as I was walking towards GZ. I was very tickled to find that it was just what I was thinking of. Didn't consider the First Aid equipment though, nice touch.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found after a nice walk (although our geotoddler is getting very heavy!)
Easily found, SL and left a Seppeltsfield balloon patch. TFTC.

While retrieving the log from its container, I remember thinking: 'I do hope that Fusilade set this with full-strength araldite, and not blue-tac ...' All fingers are still intact, so I assume the former. TFTC. Very clever - and amusing.

2nd find for the afternoon. The cache looks fine now and there was no problem getting to the log. As the owner stated, I think it is all good.

Luckily the trap had be sprung (and I didn't reset it), but I did approach the cache with caution and used the handy prodding stick to make sure nothing was in the hideyhole. I had more difficulty with the log!!

11-Mar-09
Ah, feels like home back on this hill again. The old gizmo took me on a bit of a loop in the bush, but soon I was at a good cache location. Thanks.

Did a quick repair job to get the cache back to its original state (and hopefully keep it that way.

Don't let the logs below frighten you, the problem has been fixed and the cache is safe for all.

10-Mar-09
Despite the the hazards associated with this cache, the temptation was just too great as I found myself drawn to this location, risking life and limb (well maybe a digit) to make sure I logged the find.

A terrific concept and a thoroughly enjoyable cache. TNLN and thanks Fusliade for a fun hide.

09-Mar-09
Good one! One of four caches grabbed quickly this afternoon in a break from the inevitable jobs around the house. Thanks Fusilade!

958 - Hmm - What to say about this one...

Was careful with this one due to the description - and just as well....

I found this before Winglen today - and admit that I "sprung" the Cacher Trap to sign the Log and didn't "reset" it - I did not want to be responsible if the next finder was a child who wasn't too careful....

So I say thanks for the cache - TNLN.....
