Checked and the cache is definitely gone. We're just packing up to move house now, so even if I replaced it I wouldn't be around to maintain it.

Such is the way of all things...

06-Feb-11
Owner needs to check this Cache & archive or replace it!!!!

01-Feb-11
Wandered over from the nearby cache to give this one a go with the kids tonight - But on approach I knew it was going to be a CNF (Can not find) due to some girls practicing on the adjacent court, and my middle-aged male self not really wanting to seem all leery by crouching and peering suspiciously that close to them! But on return home I'm glad they were there, as I see the pile of DNFs and maintenance requests ahead of me...

01-Feb-11
Not there anymore!! Sad

03-Jan-11
Searched for some time, but no luck. I'm guessing that based on the previous logs, the cache is no longer there.

22-Dec-10
Had a very good 15 min hunt under torchlight, and could not locate it. Not logging a DNF, because i don't think it's there to find. Probably needs replacing. I would have, but i was fresh out of eclipse tins... Cheers.

14-Nov-10
Had a good search for this one but couldn't find it. Been coming here each Saturday for 6 years but never thought to see if any caches here. Maybe its been muggled as no one has found for over a month??

13-Nov-10
When I arrived in the vicinity of the GZ, I realised I'd been here before, but on that occasion, I walked over from the adjacent park land.
Unfortunately, my endevours failed to come up with the goods. Normally, I can find this type of cache fairly readily. I suspect its no longer there.

Anyway, thanks monch's mob, an interesting diversion.

Muffle netballers were watching!

Nice little cache, so obvious I'm suprised it isn't muggled.

17-Jul-10
OMG! Soooooooooo many people. I think I'll have to come back another day and time. There were millions of young people everywhere you looked. I hope we get some future champions out of them. Even at 1 in a million, we should get a dozen or so based on the people here today.

16-Jul-10
No chance for a look today. Muggle children by the school load. Will try again another day.

14-Jun-10
Found this with aid of fellow Geocachers thanks, I had been at the site for a few minutes having a look, when other Geocachers arrived ,well hidden

14-Jun-10
Came back to try again today and as we pulled up we could see someone looking around the area so as we approached we saw his GPSr and knew for sure he was a geocacher so asked something like "Are you looking for what we think you're looking for???Smile) so then we started looking together. GMelb came up with the sneaky find after a few minutes. Was great to meet Bruce3mn and talk about a couple of caches we have both done.

Oh bother!! We arrived around 4.30pm to find a family playing on the opposite courts but we still felt they were too close for comfort so we went for a walk along the nearby river trail. On the way back someone jogged past us on the track and asked if we were geocaching (they saw the GPSr) and called out they had found this one in the past and kept going before we could find out their caching name - so anyway waving to whoever they were if they happen to check the logs lol
Got back to GZ to find just ONE PERSON playing on the CLOSEST court so gave up - we will be back to have another try sometime hopefully soon
Thanks monch's mob

The weather fined up a bit this afternoon so I took advantage of it and decided to go get me a few caches.
I found this cache @ 15:10hrs. Not being much of a sports person this place didn't mean a lot to me, but I have to admit that it is extremely well kept and the cache was well disguised. There were some guys working near by so I had to use a bit of stealth with this one.

21-May-10
Found in open, rehid as best we could as it is no longer magnetic. We were surprised the cache has lasted this long considering the number of curious young minds that would hang around here!

Found late in the afternoon decided we had been away from geocaching for too long. Having been married and moved 1200km in the last 6months hadnt helped lol. Found with lemony squish nice easy way too get back into it.

09-May-10
Our mission today was to get to 100 caches. And YAAAAY. We did it. This is the biggy. There were loads of muggles riding bikes and generally hanging about. We couldn't have a good dig around where we thought it was 'coz there was a couple of people in there, but....as it turned out, they were fellow cachers - for only the third time we have happened across other cachers. Thanks Ben for finding it for us Smile. Signed the log, TNLN, TFTC.

Out for a family bike ride to find this. We could not believe that we are around this cache every Saturday morning!

23-Apr-10
I was enjoying a nice long walk while my car was getting serviced. This is a good time to fit in a cache or two. Unfortunately, the rain clouds rolled in a down she came. I was soaked to the skin. All part of the adventure of geocaching.

Found this one today while on a bike ride along Dandy Creek with Mrs Biggles and she spotted it before me as I was using the hint and expecting it to be attached when it wasn't. In fact we were wondering whether it had been moved from it's original location because the attaching mechanism had been removed/lost. Anyway we hid it back where we found it and hope that some inquisitive kid doesn't uncover it.

Fortunately nobody was around today as I reckon it would be a hive of activity on the week-end. As Biggles of Oz stated, not quite where we would have expected it to be but replaced it where we found it.

One of the more interesting to find caches, with various muggle groups nearby,(including drug affected) it reminds us all to take care in our ventures particularly those with geokiddies in tow. However, a clever hide gave us a happy find for our group. One we all enjoyed. Ta! SL, LNTN,TFTC.

2707. Much door rattling and gnashing of teeth accompanied this cache, but unfortunately the toilet doors were locked and CoolAid was feeling the pressure build.

Nice hide and a great area - would love to see it fully employed, must be great sight.

I have been meaning to get this one for months but I rarely get out this way and today I half expected to find future champions here but to my joy the place was totally empty.
My gps bounced around everywhere but once settled it was a quick and obvious enough hide.

I first attempted this cache a few months ago but there were kids playing on their bikes near GZ. Today there were a couple of dogs and their owner playing around but I was able to search uninterrupted. I got the fright of my life when I entered the structure and found a massive black spider hanging just inches from my face!

Best of luck to the future champions!

Cheers,

Rolled up just as the mid week meeting was coming to a close. We started our search while the lights were still on and consequently we were asked what we were looking for. Explained the game truthfully and the guy was quite happy, even interested.

We came here on an evening during the week as advised - it was packed! Don't go on a Wednesday night.
Fortunately, the games were just finishing when we arrived. After a short while the place was quiet again.

What a dirty day is was so I thought I would be all alone in the area. As I drew closer, would you believe (and I am sure you have had it happen to you to) the only two people in the hole area were smack bang beside the location. I hung around for a while thinking they would move on but then I decided to move onto "Ironside" and try my luck later. Returned after sucess with Ironside and no one was around. Nice and easy this time.

iPhone very accurate earlier but now it has me back and forth all over the place. There is a lot of metal here, maybe thats it. I have cycled past here on other mornings and there is no way you would get near this place due to the number of netball muggle's. Not today though, empty. What to do as the iPhone is taking me around in circles. Go to the centre of the circle and look. Guess what!! Found it!! Accuracy is not everything. Found @ 4:45 pm Kems

26-Jul-09
Not a single muggle around on this Sunday morning so I could go for it straight away. Would be extremely difficult to retrieve on certain days of the week and at certain times of the day.
Thanks monch's mob.

16-Jul-09
Went on a short bike ride to pick up another "closest to home". Quite well hidden, took me 5 mins to find, then my pen wouldn't work. I can see why this would be rather difficult on a Saturday morning! Thanks for the cache.

15-Jul-09
Second of six cache finds for the day. I once coached net ball, there is no way I would want to try this one on a Saturday, the cache gave me quite a hard time. Thanks monch's mob for the cache.

15-Jul-09
14:19 King Jnr with my queen and geoprince #2 in the car. This would be very difficult with the balls in full flight the only spectators today were the council workers clearing the trees. I had troubles on the retrieval but eventually had it in hand. Thanks again monch's mob.

Found in the company if the Monchs before heading off to their house for a coffee. What a great area for kids and adults alike. Also, a great hiding spot, which had us searching for a little while... TFTC .

We'd been doing some cycling out this way this morning (all the way UP [xx(] the big bump to Sassafrass, on to Olinda, then all the way DOWN Big Grin again). After a rejuvenating coffee, a couple of relaxing caches by bike were in order. Thankfully nobody was on these courts when my cycling partner (a caching newbie) & I arrived. After some careful looking the tricky cache was revealed.

Thanks to monch's mob.

07-Jun-09
There wasn't any future champions out today only dog walkers further away than where we wanted to be.
Thanks monch's mob,
Regards Mr.Coffee and the "To much hard work" Clan

06-Jun-09
Mrs Crackers was out with the Coffee Clan whilst Mr Crackers was still home recovering from his recent hip replacement and this was the second cache of the day. On this wet Sunday morning there were no future or past champions anywhere to be seen which was just as well as it took a little while before Mr Coffee had the cache in hand
Thanks again Monch Mob

31-May-09
Pretty quiet here on a Sunday, so we followed the arrow and then threw ourselves into the search. It seemed an ambitious place to hide a cache in such a busy place and after a quick search I changed spots and thought for a minute. Seemed we'd have to widen our search area, then - bingo - I spotted it. Very tricky.

Thanks for the challenge, monch's mob.

22-May-09
This was the first cache of the day for Kiwideb and myself. Being a Friday, we had the place to ourselves except for a gardener off in the distance. It took a bit of hard looking before Kiwideb was able to finally spot the cache. Thanks for the cache.

found this one a bit tricky, but perserverance wins out. spend most Saturdays here but glad we picked a quieter time to find the cache! (10.05am)

20-May-09
I seem to spend most of my Saturdays here at the moment with geoTeen so it's great to know a cache is hidden here too! I would never attempt to find it on a Saturday though as this place is packed. Took a bit of searching but we found it in the end. 1/5 caches found on a sunny morning caching with BigMutts1. TFTC, excellent hide in a great location.

Found by Mary & David at 1420. Pleased to get here before the afternoon school exodus. A quick find resulted. Our thanks to monch's mob.

01-May-09
I found our 2nd Monch's Mob cache at 5:20pm as the 2nd of 2 on the way home on a Friday evening. I knew the area well as I would often ride my bike on and around these paths when I worked nearby at Bayswater. The road from the top of the hill down is a particularlt pleasurable one but the return trip is a push. Today, I brought the car down and I was half expecting the joint to be humming but it was luckily deserted. It still took a few minutes to locate the hide. Thanks for the cache from D B-A.

01-May-09
Did a quick couple after visiting someone in Maroondah hospital. Got to a thankfully deserted gz and spent several minutes looking before finding the cache in an unusual spot. The Coordinates were pretty good, though, thanks Monch's mob. I didn't make the connection when I met you the next day!

30-Apr-09
Stopped in to do this cache on the way home from work.
I received an e-mail that this new cache was near home a few weeks ago, but at the end of the day when I checked it had already been found, so there was no rush to find it.
Nice hinding spot, but could not attach it the the champions are playing.

Found by Bob at 1030

Not too far from home, so a quick detour on the way to work on this fine, sunny day seemed like a good idea. The area around GZ was totally deserted today, thank goodness, 'coz I'd sure hate to try this on a weekend when the courts are in use. The new co-ords are fine and I had no trouble locating the cache - although I suspect it may not have a long life here due to the muggle usage the location probably gets on match days!

Thanks Monch's Mob

Found at 9.35am GAFF4. Another convenient cache! p-pprass was on his way to finally getting a new set of tyres and this cache was practically on the way. Got to GZ and it seems this place is a famous rendezvous spot - there were muggles all over the place either waiting for someone, or most likely hoping to meet someone! And then to top it all off the Pink lady came over and asked if there was anyone in the loo Surprised.
As all of this was going on, the cache looking part was quite under stress and the co-ords were not helping much either. A call was then made to the owner just to confirm the spot that eventually was chosen to search for the cache, which in the bright sunshine was not a bad location at all.

Thanks Monchs Mob - this place would be very busy on event days/nights.
