As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

As I work nearby, I will check on this cache ASAP.

Out caching on a wet day with Xambo4U.
We found WP1 with no problems. We came up with 2 names at WP2, but quickly dismissed 1 when it was outside the lake area.
As is aways the case, if you have 2 paths to choose I always choose the wrong one. We decided not to jump the creek as the water was flowing briskly. Decided to attack this one from another side. Was able to cross this time but when we arrived at GZ we could only find a snap lock bag and no cache log book or container. Will have too see if anyone else finds this cache.

Out and about with Toy Car today. It is wet and miserable with the advantage that there is not many muggles about. Pick up the clue easily as we continu onto the next clue while we enjoy our walk round the lake.
For the second part we took the wrong choice to start with and had to back track. The stream was racing today due to all the rain that we have been having. Having managed the stream we found location or what we think it was. We found a couple a trinkets, a toy soldier and a boomerang and snaploch bag but nothing else, so we could not pick up the clues. I will contact owner
Thanks for the challenge,
loved playing cludeo with the kids and find the movie fun

took alittle thinking to find out the name of the victim, but in the end i finally found it after getting stuck by a river.

14-Jul-10
Cluedo. That brings back a few memories. Found the clue at WP1 without any trubble and headed of to WP2. The name here had us thinking for a little while and after a couple of false starts we were headed in the right direction. Realised I can't jump quite a far as I used to at a certain obstacle, and got a little wet!
Found the cache which was blindingly obvious to anyone walking nearby. Logged the log and took the info sheet for the other caches in the series. Will do them when have some more time. Hid the cache away from muggle eyes.

Went out today with Madwizzard and Crusty K9. Like some others, we were confused by the name, but we decided to try the first thing that jumped out to us. We too encountered the "barrier" and took the long way around. Saw the short way for our return journey. Thanks for this series. Took the clue sheet and will return another day to complete the series.

Out with Crustyvarmint and everybody's friend today and found the cache @ 14:30hrs.
I never realised how big and beautiful this park/lake was until today. It is such a pleasurable walk to gather all the clues.
It turned out to be a very nice day also, so that made it just right to go for a nice walk.

After attending the Pedal Thru event near home we headed for Lilydale Lake for the arvo
We loved this series today!! We are into games/mysteries like Cluedo etc so we loved the thought behind the whole series!
The first clue was easy the 2nd was actually easier than expected but the retrieval of the cache required "traversing a barrier" as we approached from the wrong direction!!!
A copy of the note was taken and we headed off to the next one ...

This was our second go at this one. We failed miserably about six months ago even with the help of team Smellie6. Time of death was easy, but the name is what threw us. After thinking a bit laterally and double checking co-ords we cracked it. The scene was uncovered and the clues for The Killer were all in-hand. We signed the log, left a soldier and took a gladiator. Onwards! TFTC

found @ 16:45 with mum and dad (ross47)

Finally found it! After a few problems with the name, we eventually found the right place.
Glad to have finally have a found it next to it.

Great series. LN Took: 379 TB

Found @ 16:45 in the company of the geowife and daughter (emeraldflame). This one has had us double guessing the name for the last few weeks. So, with a little reverse engineering via excel, we narrowed down the possibilities. Emeraldflame went for another look and came up with the correct name and then, soon after, the location.

We went out today and, after finding ourselves on the wrong side of an obstacle twice, found the cache. What a relief to finally get to tick this one off. Now on to the killer...

Left nothing, took pathtag

Thanks to Team RooBok for the series.

Great hiding spot. Spent 4hours looking in the wrong spot but eventually after a helpful hint got it in the end. Very Happy

07-Dec-09
Had a look around for about an hour, found the time of death, but I don't think we got the right name, as the coordinates we established were in the lake. Had a nice walk around the lake regardless!

06-Dec-09
It took a bit of head scratching and fancy foot work to get to this one. A family were out walking with their dogs nearby and I had to feign interest in my phone until they left. I grabbed the letter to continue my adventures. What a clever series this is turning out to be!

Thanks,

6:00pm After no luck on the Murder Weapon. Parked north of WP1
6:05pm At WP1. 1 hour down. Cannot find number. Check co-ords.
6:06pm Whew. There it is.
6:10pm At WP2. Look at highside. Pointing to lowside.
6:11pm Walk around to lowside. Pointing to highside. Grrr.
6:13pm Back around at highside. Pointing in the middle. It can't be halfway. There is a great fence around it. Convinced there is nothing at highside walk around to lowside once more.
6:16pm Back at lowside. You are joking. Just like at the Murder Weapon a man has now stopped right at GZ and decided tht this is where he is going to stand and throw the ball for his dog.
6:17pm Walked past man and stood in the spot by lake where he is throwing the ball.
6:19pm I turn around and he has gone. Unsure really what I am looking for but beleive I have the victims name. Work our co-ords.
6:25pm Close to cache but find that I have walked into a dead end.
6:30pm Have walked into another dead end. Now I am 1 Hour and 25 minutes into this hunt and still no caches.

6:32pm Find way through. Luck changes 180 degrees. Right now.
6:35pm Hooray. I have a cache. Grab the clue but have only 2 of 5 clues.
Continued on... The Killer

Think we got the name or maths wrong here as we left the lake to find the scene.... Didnt seem right and nothing was found either!!!!!
Will have to reassess and return!!!!!! Surprised( Got the weapon sorted though!!!!

25-Sep-09
Found it at last. A VERY wet afternoon find (after 2 wild goose chases to incorrect names. Thanks for the name hint!!!) too wet for the killer he/she will have to wait...

25-Sep-09
We dropped off Annabelle Bear after too long a holiday with the kids.

20-Sep-09
Found the first & second waypoints but no luck as it was getting dark (& COLD!) for the scene of the murder. We will revisit our calcs & the name of the victim?!

1400-1445hrs

Located the 2 waypoints but due to rushing the calculations I had made amistake and did not find the cache.

Checked the figures at home and I was only out by a small amount.

I will go back to locate it so I can finish this multi off.

A surprising 3TF for me. I was after some exercise today and I got it! After a nice walk I got to gz and then spent a little while getting the info before realising that it was actually what was there.

Like my predecessors I took the obvious, wrong, track, but that was soon rectified and the find made. Thanks Team Roobok for the lovely morning walk.

Found by Bob at 1430

I've been to this park quite a few times on caching business now - in fact, these 3 new ones are numbers 9, 10 and 11, I think. The route to the final GZ for this one actually took me past a number of spots that once held caches and the memories are still strong despite having done them over 4 years ago. I particularly enjoyed the final stages of the journey to this one, even though I had to do a bit of backtracking at one stage - it has all those elements of water, bush and winding trails that I really enjoy Smile.

Thanks again Team Roobok

Fourth of six cache finds for the day and a nice FTF for me, I soon had the clues gathered and crunched the numbers, I took a wrong track on the way to GZ and had to back track to avoid getting rather wet, once that was all sorted I soon had the evidence in hand. Thanks to Team RooBok for the cache.
