Out with locus, clare007, 3LG and Earthlight for a day of caching. We attacked the Barossa region knowing that everyone would be able to get their fair share of caches. One of our party left at around four in the afternoon due to pre-existing commitments while the rest of us charged on to just before midnight, at which point we shut down the GPSr and made our way home. A great day with this one easily being my busiest caching day in terms of finds.
This find was number 65 of the full 99 for the day. TFTC Grandeeze!

Today we are caching in the Barossa with earthlight, Locus cache, Ridethegeowalrus and Clare007, a great day had by all and quite a few caches found along the way, i managed around 94 and only a few DNFs, i got stung by a inch ant while i was looking at a potential hide spot, put my hand straight on top of it, put some stingoes on it and good as new almost immediately : ) TFTC
After caching a few series around the Barossa, the gang consisting of Earthlight, RideTheGeoWalrus, Locus Cache & 3LG made our way to Sedan, Keyneton and Moculta [^]
We had to make an unscheduled stop at Sedan due to a problem tyre,
then Kaye had to leave later that afternoon
The three in the back got tired of seatbelts very quickly as seating was snug.
We had a great time and saw towns didn't know existed.
Thanks for another great cache Grandeeze

cleaning up some caches out the back of Ango, This was a nice quick find . Wondering if these were Ancestors of yours, Grandeeze?? TFTC
Loved this multi as it first took me to Moculta where I have never been before and secondly as it started and finished at interesting spots of hostorical note. Gave it a favourite. Thanks
Judging by the bricks and stones, this is being restored - excellent

Found on a run around the Barossa. Beautiful old building that just shows how hard life would have been. Tftc :-)
Out for a bit of night caching after an annoying DNF this afternoon elsewhere. I had visited the posted coordinates quite sime time ago and worked out the cache coordinates but hadn't followed up for a visit. We found the cache easily in torchlight. TNLNSL TFTC Grandeeze!
After getting a FTF on the nearby ‘800’ cache, I drove down the road and finally got just enough mobile phone coverage to realise that there was a multi here that had a 1 star difficulty rating.
I had just exited my car when suddenly I was being waved and tooted at by an approaching car, which then stopped and from it emerged The Draynesters.
We had a chat and she explained her efforts at promoting geocaching in her community
After a discussion about how far each of us had driven to get that cache, we parted and I resumed working out the multi.
Within minutes, a couple of other people pulled up and asked if I knew where the cemetery was. I attempted to bring up GC’s mobile app again, as we all know ever cemetery has a cache and I had seen a cache named something ‘rest’, but the phone had no reception. Anyway they drove off down a road to find a church and later, when I again had reception, I looked and the ‘rest’ cache appeared to be in the direction they headed and also it was a mausoleum: so I hope the couple found their ancestors’ resting places.
Finally, I worked out the cords and headed to GZ.
I had looked at GZ on the way in and though Wow! What a cool way to preserve history!
I should have known there would be a cache there SL. TFTC Grandeeze and the FTF on 800 too.

Heading to the Barossa with Aussie M&M, Team707 and bennieboy to fill in a few gaps. Quick find. Pretty exposed but then again most people would just drive by. Thanks grandeeze Grabbed the TB to keep it moving.
A nice quick multi with a quaint end point. Left a TB here with significance to one of my caching friends. Liked this spot. TFTC.
Found after doing the requisite summations. Very interesting GZ, thanks for pointing it out Grandeeze!
Out on a excursion with CP Wanderer to see a friend in hospital and to gather a few caches along the way, a quick find TFTC
A very straightforward multi done with Froghoppin. Thanks Grandeeze for the hide!
A short hop to GZ from the start opposite the hall which is my "home" for carpet bowls when I pinch hit for Moculta! What an interesting site - thanks again for taking me to somewhere I have passed only at night on my way to somewhere else Took TB
Last stop for the day as the daylight was fading. Quick find and log signing. TFTF
Found by Mary & David at 1210. Delightful place that looks as though some work may be about to be done on it. A shipping container on site, and loads of bricks. Pleased to see a plaque nearby too. Dropped off "Travel Ingot Geocoin". Our thanks to Grandeeze.

We were very fortunate that we were able to get a few extra days off after Easter and after attending the Oz Mega event for the first four days we decided to head across to this part of the country and spend a few days picking up some local caches in the Riverland area. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and we are now heading home hoping to grab a few more caches on the way.
We had no trouble collecting the information today, punched in the new co ordinates and headed off to gz admiring the building and equipment as we went. Once at gz the cache was a nice easy find, fortunately the ants didn't find us today.
Our thanks to Grandeeze for the cache.

Like many others before us we shot past GZ on the way into the town.
Great little spot and excellent to see someone having a real go at bringing it back to life.
Thanks for bringing us here Grandeeze

I drove past a place that screamed 'cache me' on the way to the start of this multi, only to find that there was a cache there.
Thanks for the experience Grandeeze.
Thanks for the experience Grandeeze.
In town for an engagement party, and we were a bit early, so this provided us with a good excuse to explore the town a little, and return to a spot we'd previously driven past and thought "why isn't there a cache there?" And luckily we saw no ants!
Though 'what a cool spot' on the way into town, only to return there as it ended up being the final GZ after all.Looks like some more reconstruction still happening.

Little Geo and I thought we’d fit in a few caches around tennis practice this afternoon. It's been a long time since we've had a morning of hockey at Moculta- the only place I can remember where the morning was cancelled due to the heavy rain which flooded out the oval...even on a pleasent arvo it's still cold!! TFTC
Approached from the east so we didn't have any inklings about the hiding spot. Quite an interesting and relatively well looked-after old place. Kept an eye out for the inch ants - Mr O's been savaged by these damned things a couple of times so he can definitely attest to how much pain they can cause! Luckily none were seen (they would've been blown away anyway). TFTC Grandeeze.
Found while visiting the wife in the local hall.Nice restoration job going on there.tfth .
Late in the day, we nearly didn't go for this, but ... we were here, it seemed straightforward, ... let's do it! We love these old historic sites, so thanks for bringing us here. TFTC.
Out on a day caching with Beagle and Me, Found without too much of a fuss, thank goodness no threat from inch ants today. TNLN TFTC
Found on a lovely day for caching, at a rather pretty spot. No problem with either the figures or the ants. Thanks to Grandeeze.
Lots of history around here
I wonder if you get much traffic here
Thanks Grandeeze

I spotted the building as we approached town. There I thought. Five minutes later we were there. Fine cache in a nice location.
I found this cache by accident. I saw an ideal spot for hiding a cache as I drove past it, hit the brakes, did a u-turn & went back to the location. I started marking out possible places to hide a cache when I found a spot, when to my surprise there was a cache already there! Signed the logbook & moved on.
Nice spot & thanks for putting a cache here! TFTC [^]

When we arrived at WP1 there was a car that seemed to be lost, and it wasn't us. After he cruised past a couple of times we gathered the new co-ordinates and went to GZ. Easy find once there. Left nothing but took pictures of the wagon. Thanks for the interesting multi Grandeze.
Were at the oval celebrating my families 60 year anniversary of arrival in Australia. The majority of the family still live in the valley. After a fantastic gathering just had to pick up this one on the way home. TFTC
I'm sure some of my rellies thought we were a bit odd stopping here on our way home from the big do at the oval. Never mind.TFTC
We could have done this the same way as Nibs, but elected to do it the right way, as there are a few places that it could be once in the general GZ area.
Gathered the answers and made our way to GZ, and made an easy find without the need for the Oregon.
When this was published we knew it would only be a short time before we would have to come to the town, and today was the day. After attending a family gathering at the rec ground here, for A's family, we had to grab this cache whilst here.

Can’t say too much about this without giving the game away. Suffice to say, I loved the building and the implement in the front yard. Made for some great photos. Really pleased that there seems to be a serious attempt to restore the it [^]. No ants in residence today

Had a little time to kill waiting for the boys with the cherry picker to come to Angaston Oval to move the oval lights for Rally SA, so decided to grab a couple of the close ones to Angaston.
Some quick calcs and off to GZ. No ant activity today - must be too cold. TFTC.

Well it looked an inviting location for a cache and it was.
Another one that Ms Parrot beat me to today.

This area is probably one of the least visited parts of the Barossa - always enjoy driving out this way [^].
Looks like some-one is preparing to do a resto on this place.
Quickly found on a cold day - no ants either !
Took UK GC. Left Hogwild Travel Slug. SL.
Thanks again Grandeeze.

What a beautiful day for a drive through the Early Barossa Villages and grab a few caches - The Pioneer Dwelling is gorgeous - imagine bringing up a dozen children here over 150 years ago ! Thanks for a lovely cache and so pleased you got FTF at my Shed Party ! Great idea for your TB also [^] TNLSSL Left Geocoin Cheers from PG
You need to be on the wagon driving around caching (but not since 1850) . A few splinters I'd say. Maybe they need to paint it.
No ants in the pants we encountered in the caching of this cache. Clear skies! [^]
Another interesting about history. again thanks for bring me to be there.... Found the cache at 4.40pm. No ants today. No swap. SL. Thanks Grandeeze for organising the cache and hunt.
Please note I drove past GZ the other night close to 11.00PM and had a quick glance and notice there was about 10 Ants out standing guard.
If you go to GZ take a look about 8 meters west, about a meter from the tree is GZ for ANTS.
Dont linger to long they run up your legs in a flash. OOuch.

A nice easy puzzle thanks Grandeeze and a quick find. Fortunately do ants to be seen anywhere today. The rain must have scared them all underground!
TNLNSL, Cheers.

Yeess, our FTF after 82 caches.
Came past here the other day after trying for a FTF on the
"Parrotts Hill P.O." - GC1RG92 but could only claim silver
for that one. I was lucky to see this one pop up and thought
we might have a chance if we do it in the dark. So we ended
signing the log at 9.20pm and this was our 4th night cache.
Thanks Grandeeze for showing us another pioneer building.
Also thanks for the warning about the locals ANTisocial behaviour.[^]
