Like this puzzle but GZ has been cleaned up so rather then replace it is time to go and make way for a new one especially with all the new LIPT caches popping up I am sure there will be a new one here one day with a new smiley. Apologies to those who couldn't find.
Solved the puzzle .......visited GZ.
Looked around with Odlids who started questioning my accuracy (again), as some logs seemed to be describing an area different to where we found ourselves. So we redid the puzzle and came up with exactly the same result as before [^].
Can't say for sure that we were in the right spot or that the cache isn't where it should be, but there has been some very serious pruning done recently where we found ourselves. Perhaps the CO or a previous finder could have a look to confirm the existence or not of this cache.
Hope to add a smiley for this one some day.

Well we trolled the soup and came up with a feasible location that fits the various descriptions in the logs but alas several of the trees at ground zero have been cut down.
Might be time for the CO to do a cache check.
Cheers

Again GeoMum figured out the coordinates for this one. By the time we got here it was dark and made locating this cache sooooooo much harder. After about 10 minutes we eventually found this well camo'ed cache, SL and returned. TFTC
Hah! Armed with a tip from a previous finder, a determined search and I've found this one, despite the mozzies and odd locals. TFTC!
Worked out the code with a little nudge in the right direction from geodad and soon had a likely set of coords. Got to near GZ and it matched the descriptions in various logs, including overgrowth, carpark, creepy men sitting around in their cars or wandering aimlessly about.. sadly I wasn't able to find a cache in any of the likely spots, so maybe my coords aren't right? I double-checked them, sitting in the car, then had another look, no luck. Hrm!
Finally made time to stop and grab this one after cracking the code months ago. We dried the log in the sun while we had our lunch and replaced the zip lock bag. SL TFTC
This one had me totally puzzled, got a bit of help to solve, what a beautiful day, this is an unusual spot just tucked away, people coming and going , had to wait for muggles to leave , did duties and no sooner log put back another lot of muggles arrived. TFTC
Needed some help working out this puzzle but finally got there.
Tough to find at GZ as vegetation has invaded the spot but finally found and cleared a bit of area.
Log is moist and a bit on the nose but still signable.

Celebrated getting my replacement gizmo with a puzzle cache. Got near gz and we had to out wait numerous visitors. After about 10 mins the coast was clear so geowife and I dashed to try to find gz in the drizzle. After about 10 mins of searching I began to doubt my solution, but another determined look and the cache was in my hands.

The car park was pretty full of strange men just sitting in their cars?
Made a quick dash for the cash. Did the dead and then hurried back to the car. Suppose this made me look rather strange to them. TNLN TFTC

Ummm...yeah...not sure what goes on down here but I did kinda get the feeling that I didn't belong. After reading some of the logs I made the kids stay in the car for this one while I quickly jumped out and grabbed it...SL TFTC...
Our 1st puzzle cache! Second time searching though. Had right coords just poor eyesight the 1st time! TFTH
Solved this one ages ago but with several visits when nearby this was the first time it was quiet enough to search. TFTC
4055. [font=Century Gothic][green]The way I solved this was the most backward way ever I guess, but it did get me an answer. And it was correct too. Lots of cars parked here today and only one with an occupant. As luck would have it GZ put a truck between he and me, so all good. A quick find and a fun puzzle.

Nice easy find without the little blue ferals - who'd have thought that young kids lift the difficulty? So much for more eyes being better!
Well this was a puzzle cache I needed help with. Got a nudge from Team Casho in the right direction and then a few tries to get to right GZ. Visited GZ a while back and noticed the collection of "waiting men". Got stung by a wasp whilst searching so decided to move on. Returned today with fewer men and had the cache in no time. Nice puzzle and interesting location.

Grrr - sure of the spot, but no luck. Little red insisted on being carried and Overhead powerlines were causing havoc with gizmos internal compass. Location visited by a number of interesting characters - not quite sure of which suspicious activity they were part of - but I didnt really feel like discovering it with the kids. Will return.
740 - 4 for today. Found on 15/08/10 11:37 AM
Had this worked out some time ago, first opportunity to get to GZ. Hardly any one around and after a brief search the container was located. TNSLLN

Really liked the puzzle, although tried to make it even harder than it was. Found GZ at a quiet time then retrieved and logged with not a person to be seen. TNLN, thanks for a good puzzle and hide.
Had this one worked out just after it was published and was in the area and made this the last find before returning home.
Had to wait out a muggle that turned up as I was heading for GZ who sat about and wasn't in a hurry to go anywhere. When the coast was clear I resumed the hunt and made an easy find.

After having a little trouble with some of the numbers, I got something that appeared to work in Google Earth this morning, ready for an afternoon's caching excursion. The numbers I had led me straight to the cache, much to my delight. Hopefully my disguise held up today as there were a few muggles just sitting in their parked cars, as if waiting for someone/something - very random. Thanks for the Puzzle and the Cache Team Casho.

Puzzles like this frustrate me! Even though I worked out the pattern very quickly, my first GZ was about 200km off the Wollongong coast and my second was in the middle of a highway!
Thankfully Chip worked it out first try! We headed into GZ late at night, parked at the gate and made the 100m walk in. Not sure why everyone else keeps ensuring that they arrive in open hours!
Anyway, at GZ there were no muggle problems like others had reported; a quick find under the cover of darkness.
Cheers

I'm a big fan of puzzle caches like this. I love working out the patterns.
So i did just that and a couple days later headed out under the cover of darkness to find GZ.
The location was easy to spot at night as the head torch was able to pick it out quickly.
Thanks for another fun mystery.
Cheers.

Mrs KC had a go at the puzzle when it 1st popped up & at the time thought it too hard too spend too much time on right then....puzzle was left out in plain view and on walking past it today glanced down & saw the combination, waited for Mr KC to come home from work thinking he would like to make the actual find... but Mr KC was looking toooo hard and Mrs KC found the container quickly, signed the log and had it popped away in its' hidey hole in no time at all....
NB: chose to go at the end of the day just before gates closed and found only 1 other car in the car park... TFTP

Out for some early morning caching today an although it was opening time the gate wasn't open while I was there... but that meant no one else was watching. I wasn't feeling confident and was glad to find what I was looking for after referring to the hint. Thanks for another challening puzzle - needed the hint for that part too.
Tried for this one this morning but had to come back later in the afternoon due to the number of muggles. Would not of picked this for a busy location. Grabbed TB. TFTC.
What a difference a day makes. Back for an early morning raid and the only eyes staring today was us looking for the cache. When I say us, I mean me and my good friends BlacknWhite who waiting at the gate in an attempt for an early find.
Just a note that GZ does have openning and closing times for vehicles. Thanks Team Casho.

Solved the puzzle last night and decided to make a quick stop while travelling north. We hopped out of the car only to find The Rats pulling up behind us, (hows that for timing). After a quick walk it wasn’t long before the cache was located. Thanks Team Casho for the puzzle.
After suddenly seeing the solution tyo the puzzle, and passing by anyway today I picked this one up shortly after 1300. There where some strange eyes pointed on my? What do these people do here?
No matter, I was still able to grab it and log it and even leaqve a coin. Talked to Black&White who was here earlier today and then met Rats, so it was busy here!

Came early in the morning 8.30 before work and had to walk in from the gate. Found after a short search but had to be careful replacing the cache as the council had turned up to open the gates and have a picnic in the nearby shelter before starting work. Followed the tracks in the dew of The Rats and B&W to the cache!
Thanks Team Casho.
Thanks Team Casho.
Worked out the coords last night and tried twice today to get the goods. Both times the place was swarming with muggles. I wasn't even there at lunch time! After some of the looks I got, the type of muggle present and the manner of their visit. I think this might be a meeting place for a certain subculture of the Illawarra!
An early morning search might be on the cards!

Puzzle caches are my achilles heel but after showing the boys at work we were soon on our way to cracking (no pun intended) this one.
On my way home I headed to GZ knowing that this place has a reputation for certain activity. Once at GZ I didnt get a real look at GZ cause there were so many eyes on me and my intent. After a very brief search I left thinking 'when would be a good time to tackle this one'. Maybe next time. Thanks

I like it, I like it a lot
Was just checking the new caches and saw this one- ooohhh, a nice puzzle. After spending the weekend racking the grey matter with Canberra mysteries this one had to be solved. Problem was we were going walking so eba had everything solved by the time we got home. So this one was a team effort.
Zipped down to GZ- nice little spot just tucked away, and proceeded to look, and look and look. Just as things were looking bad and darkness was descending the little cache revealed itself (I think I was looking for something more given the recent tricky Team Casho hides).
And... in finding our 100th mystery cache a long awaited FTF.
Thanks for an enjoyable cache Team Casho.
