Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
Were with previous finder and couldn't find this one. Were with Julie from yakcm. TFTH anyway.
Have been past twice and can not find. Can the creator please check on this. Thanks will try again once been checked.
On a 2 day cache run from Adelaide to Whyalla and back.
We didn't find your cache in the time allowed but we are logging all our dnf's because of the cache vandal in Whyalla.
We may have just missed it but it may be gone.

Found a likely location, but I think the spiders must have eaten it. Not going to fight them for it today.
A quick and easy find under cover of darkness.
A couple of mini-muggles were passing by as the force field generator clanged the cache back in place, but I don't think they took no heed.

After 3 unsuccesful hunts for other caches, it was good to finally find one. I'm glad I was wearing my cycling gloves.

Managed to find it this time, with some help from someone who has done it before.

Very well hidden and very good clue (for me anyway)...be aware of spiders with red on them - especially at night!
Finally found this one. Was abit hard. Had been to this one quite a few times. Took skinny arms with me this time. Thanks yakcm for the help.
Cheers

It took a couple of minutes to locate the clue and then the cache was soon in hand.

Took a little time to work out what the clue meant but then it was all good.

Thelandlockedsailoress picked the location for this as we arrived. Smart girl. And the comment, below, about being hard to extract - for us, anyway - meant getting the log out of the container!

Great cache hide GZ we discovered how much hotter the roof of our home is in relation to other colors - even though Ian already knew that!
took a while to find but find it we did.

Found on a rewarding day caching around Whyalla. Thanks to The Hunta for this cache, which took me longer than it should have - good hide.
Found by Mary & David at 1845. Loved the murals. Pity they aren't displayed in a more prominent place. Well hidden. Our thanks to The Hunta.
Did this one today during a caching excursion in and around Whyalla.
Great hint. As I finished clearing all the cobwebs away a muggle arrived and park right next to where I was standing. He climbed out and went into the business and left his wife sitting in the car! After about 5 minutes of reading through my caches on the iTouch I decided to leave and come back a few hours later. Wallah - nobody there the 2nd attempt.

After a recent fruitless search I didnt trust my offside to check properly and got it pretty fast.
This was our 3953rd overall find.
Found at 3:41 PM. Nice little test bed, I'd like to see if they have thermometers under here to see which is hotter under the roof?
Thanks the hunta for the cache.

4 of 6 today in Whyalla, my last ones. Found easily today. How did I miss that last time? Thanks for the hunt Hunta
Geo-dad has driven down this road on many occasion and never realised this was there. Great spot for a cache! Cheers!!
Nice one hunta....easy find.
Interesting to do the practical physics experiment and feel the heat difference on the roofing colours....why has charcoal become such a popular roof colour one wonders????

The hint made for an easy find here. Would have been difficult without it. Thankyou for organising the cache. Cheers!
A quick trip to whyalla so I thought I had better try again....How did I miss it last time ??????????? SL TFTC
Doh! Needed to apply to the owners for a clue. It pays to read the hint and read the names.
It is a no find for me after working out what the clue meant. Maybe a cache check by the owner wouldn't go astray after 2 DNF's in an obvious hiding spot.
I couldnt find this one....I got may hand in there and rummaged around but no cigar.........Next time
Whyalla dash, now home to drive
Get back for a meeting, I strive

Uggghhh. Spider webs. How I hate them. Never know what could be lurking there. I was searching in the right spot but had to use the hint to get the right one.

I was a physics teacher at Whyalla High in the '80's. Yes, I started the WHS Astronomy Club. I must say I was impressed with the display from the WHS students and the practical physics interpretive signs. A great city!!!

We needed the clue to narrow down the search area (took us a minute to work out what it meant). An interesting concept and we loved the mural. TFTC
Hmmmm... Strange... Very much like a shane4 cache...
Nice first cache hide had me stumped for a little while
And a great spot too, one I didn’t know existed
Interesting spot for a tree hugger (of sorts) like me
Well done “The Hunta†you have learnt well from the master “Shane4â€
Took Geo coin for a trip up into the flinders in a few days time.

I was driving past without my GPSr so I thought I’d try to guess GZ but had no luck where I thought it might be.
Came back later with my GPSr and it pointed to . . . exactly where I’d guessed before.
I must have missed the cache by a millimetre then!
“Discovered†the geocoin but left it for someone else to move on.
Thanks The Hunta.

FTF @ 8.45pm. Just sitting at home with nothing to do and then .... a new listing! A quick drive in the brief rain shower came up with nothing - forgot the torch. Raced home, got the torch, found it where I know it was the first time
Our thanks to the hunta, and welcome to the world of hiding caches. Great to see more cachers active in Whyalla.
