I drove past here a while ago and figured it looked familiar. After a bit more research, I figured I had actually been here and signed the log on 13 September 2021.Today, I was going past again and finally had time to stop and check it out. Sure enough, a flip through the damp but usable older logbook turned up exactly what I expected (see pic).I have a feeling that if I were to log it now as a 2021 date, it might throw out other stats, so Ill just claim the find today. The container could use replacement; l couldnt find anything sensible in my car today.TFTC and the two visits.
The area surrounding GZ is not what it was some 15 years ago. There's not as much 'bush' as there was, instead much more housing and traffic. When Mortified placed this cache, I guess it was more tranquil and a reasonable location for a container. I'm not sure it is now, so I think this one has run its course. Thanks to the last couple of finders for reporting the condition of the cache. I'll retrieve it when I am next driving past.
Found with our newborn geodaughter. Her first cache. Paper is very wet! Lid is missing too
I think weve all been there where youve had a strict cut off time and factored in the Google Map time to your destination on top of that. We had 54 minutes and with a 32 minute drive to Rocklea we had however many minutes the science of Mathematics allowed us.It only takes one long search for a cache to ensure you are late for your wedding. My wife was with me and I cant even spell polygamy without autocorrect (surprisingly I got it right the first time) so we werent headed for a wedding. We were off to our sons house to watch the football so all our trust was in making a quick find and the traffic to be working as our technological overlord expects. Everything went to plan and we even had time for one more find. tftc
A morning out caching with Brissy Cat in the Ipswich area, mostly driving with some small walks. Brissy Cat had previously found this one but was happy to make the short detour down this road as I wasnt likely to get back here anytime soon. Quick find but it was damp inside the container and there were spiderwebs on the outside. Luckily the ground was dry. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc
Today I took a quick drive out to Ripley to find a nearby cache for a challenge. On the way back home I stopped off here and made a quick find of this old cache. Unfortunately the logbook is quite wet but I managed to find a page that was dry enough to write on. Afterwards I went on down the road to find another cache and I quite enjoyed driving down this quiet little country road. I'm not sure if there will be lots of bush for much longer, though, with so much development happening all around here. Thanks for the cache Gunnie69!
This was a fun find to look for during free period of school, we left a little origami piece in there as it was lacking any little trinkets )
Found with Zannerfry. They have found this previously but just showing me the lay of the land.
As I have travelled from Victoria to Queensland on a road trip in the past few days. Ive had a ball on this adventure

More to come……and maybe a photo or two or…
Am out in the field having a fun time. Currently on the move therefore unable to complete my log with the level of thought required.
Watch this space! Back soonish.

It was a Girls’ caching antics day today, and although we didn’t have a KBreeAHH with us, SaintsMadHouse, Cosmonaut97 and I did have Signal the Frog standing in for her, and fully intended on a day of fun and frivolities.
I’ve been past this cache a number of times but had never stopped, despite having a cache just down the road (the reason I have been past each time). Well today it was time to change that, and we rocked up and clambered out of the car ready to make our find.
We took much longer than we should have trying to find it, as where I searched originally I didn’t search well enough apparently, so we kept expanding and searching so many other spots until I checked the photos and saw what sort of container it should be. Then heading back to my original spot, Cosmonaut97 put her hand on what I had overlooked. Most logs today were signed as GCA for the three of us to save time and logbook space.
Thanks for the cache Gunnie69.

Found with 1minniemoo and saintsmadhouse today on an outing to turn these greenies into smilies. After discussing this adventure for the last month or so, we had decided that today was going to be the day....and that was about as much planning as had been completed prior to meeting up in a semi central location. From there, we had a more solid plan at least until lunch. It was a great day and I got home roughly 13 hours after I left :> We have plans for our next adventure but no dates - we'll get there :>
Today, a late plan was made to hike to Flinders Peak, and walk a circuit via Mount Blaine. Flinders Peak was an enjoyable and well-trodden track up, however, Mount Blaine was a steep rock scramble and a morale challenge. I then took the opportunity to visit various geocaches in the Ipswich area, which included South Ripley, Swanbank, Flinders View, Eastern Heights, and finally Brassall. Highlights included the Box Flat Memorial, Limestone Park, and Haig Street Quarry Bush Reserve.
After seeing a couple of DNFs ahead of me on my plan to visit this cache, I did reach out to the CO to suggest replacement if I also had found it missing. As it turns out, that was not required, and as I was looking around to see where I should replace the cache, I made a find within a few minutes! Its hiding spot should not be affected by heavy rains washing the cache away, and it was just buried in amongst krudd, so it was hard to spot. Otherwie, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Mortified for the cache placement, and Gunnie69 for its ongoing maintenance.

Very overgrown and has flooded there a couple of times recently so could not find it.
Was on the Southside caching. I got 18 finds today. The breakdown was 7 traditional, 1 earthcache and 2 adventure labs with 10 waypoints.
I had lots of fun today.
Sorry for the generic log.

A day caching with the usual group (RoddyC, hatzofff, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947) to find the rest of the Oxley series. Started this series years ago and now keen to complete them. Also grabbing others along the way.
Last one for today before we hit the highway to go back home. An easy find once we found the right bush.... SL then returned as found.

After hatching a plan with chamad, Nikid1 and NayFee to visit Mt Blaine, we targeted a few caches to collect along the way, this was among our early morning haul.
With 4 pairs of eyes, the cache was quickly spotted. Our names added to the log we were off on our adventures.
Thanks Mortified and Gunnie69 for the cache.

Out and about with Nikid1, Willis007 and Chamad for a spot of caching around Ipswich and surrounds for the day.
After our dilemma at the previous cache it was nice to get out of there and continue our journey. We parked on the side of the road and wandered over towards GZ, we checked a few spots without much luck, but we eventually came across the hide further on. We signed the log and replaced the cache as found and carried on to the next one.

Out for a day of caching with Willis007, Nayfee and Nikid1. I had a list of caches that where required for certain reasons of D/T, 360, age and just because we were passing. However, the main aim of the day was to walk Mt. Blain, grab the caches and the views at the top.
This was a lot nicer than our previous cache and a lot less confrontational, but it did give us something to talk about for the morning. An easy grab here and the cache was spied quickly. Having four people searching makes for a quick find.
With log signed and cache replaced as found, we were off to continue our list for the day.
Thanks for placing this one here.

Caching has never really been about the numbers. I drive generally over a thousand km's a week (some for work, some to explore, some for the kids, and some just because I have to) so there's always a cache or two to break up the drive. Having said that, I also enjoy numbers, fulfilling challenges, and quirky statistics. It's for this reason, I'm going to aim to fill my dates found and dates hidden this year, and a few other challenges in the local area.
Needed a cache today to fill a calendar gap and we ended up on the mountain for eat local week. Started with wine tasting (at 1000 ) before back to Beaudesert for a food truck festival and then finished in Harrisville for dinner with the camels. Ended up finding six for the day, this one was the fifth for the night.
Nice quick easy find in the dark, with the cache in good condition. The log is a wee bit cumpled, but straightened out as best we could.
Thanks for the cache **Gunnie69**

Not too much traffic, cars turned off before reaching the spot. Found with Puplefish. TFTC.
After doing a ten kilometre return walk to find a Challenge cache, Tenkae and myself decided to grab a few local caches before leaving the district.

This was our first ever find! So exciting. Took us a bit of time but I'm guessing we will get better at it ️
It was so fun to go out with the family and find it pretty easy bite to small but that okayed
Took longer than expected. I would keep an eye out for snakes (have seen them along this road in summer). Some seem to have a hard time finding this while others don’t. If I could give one tip, don’t waste time looking down. Overall fun find with cute trinkets.
Kids had fun dodging spiders and trying to locate it. Thanks for placing full of little coins and knick knacks
Happy to report the cache is safe and sound in its lair. It's not a difficult hide, but you will need to remove some camo to unveil the prize.
Loved this one! Dates back til quite some time which is really cool. Thanks so much!
Finally getting round to catching up on back logging.
