Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The bird has flown the coop again!
I'll check the migration season, and get it back on-line soon.
Thanks, Robmc.

Like the previous log, no luck for us tonight but then the torch I had was pretty ordinary but ????
Thanks for attending to this cache Robmc, I did a lap of the lake and found this one, but not many feathers... I remember riding through this spillway before there was the footbridge, nice spot.
Was going to log this a s a DNF, however if the cache was set up when the lake wasn't running out of here at full tilt we may have had better luck. Also a previous DNF may mean the cache needs a check by the owner.
21.20pm. i was on my hols and caching around with Lochb when we came here and had a really extensive search especially as there was only an inch or two of water in the middle, not like the picture i have just seen.so we reluctantly gave up on this one,but i see also now that the bird has flown, so a dnf for us. greetings from england 18.11. on a dull raining day.patandjeff=bones1.
Tried to find this cache with Bones1 from the UK but no luck despite an extensive search. We received confirmation last night from previous finders that this cache has indeed disappeared.
The best cache container I have seen so far! I could not help laughing out loud when I saw it. TFTC
What a great cache - we continued to chuckle throughout the day after finding this cache. Yes, we signed both logs so as not to favour one chicken over the other. Thanks for the cache and the fun.
Found at 10:05 pm.
My 50th find!
Discovered on a cool Friday night on the way home from Altona Hockey Ground, where my son's team just won their semi-final.
Loved the cache container - for a moment I was almost going to keep looking, but decided it must be the cache!

Found while in the area with LouiseAnn and Ostara74. There was a lot of wet stuff at the GZ, so made it a quick sign and run! Thanks Robmc.
Found with PathFinder 24 and Ostara74 on our quick jaunt around Altona! Thanks Robmc
Didn't have a pen, so couldn't sign the log...but took photos instead.
Did ask about 5 sets of dog walking muggles if they had a pen and they all said "no" with the kind of look that says "...and why the hell do you need one out here?".
Loved the cache container...I originally tried the other side first with no luck, and when I put my head under the correct side and saw something poking out, the brain said..."but that's not a cache?"
Was a good laugh

Found it (them) this afternoon. Ha ha ha. I'd heard rumours of this cache and it's container - and was hopeful that this was it ! And yes of course it was. TFTC !
Found by edmil and maddie. We had just completed a nearby cache and decided to hoof it to this one, well I shouldn't really say hoof it it was actually only a short stroll; and on such a pleasant Saturday morning. We arrived at GZ just in time for a few muggles to show up. We waited until they were out of sight and then got onto the main event - locating that pesky cache. Well it didn'tt ake me long to locate and I must say I loved the theme. The log was signed and the cache replaced before any other muggles made their appearance. Must admit the sight of this cache made me hungry for some good finger lick'n tucker - much to Maddie's disgust. Thanks for the cache.
Very original cache containers! Didn't get wet today, and not sure I would want to. Water unusual sort of white soapy colour?

Well Rob we did make it back here to log this cache after the last time. And I see you had the welcoming committee out with two of them to greet us. Signed log and got out of there cos we were parked where we shouldn't be... TFTC.
Retrieving the cache wasn't a problem though getting it back without being spotted took some time (around 10 minute's in total) as soon as i signed one of the logbooks a kid can from nowhere and i could see he was wondering what i was doing here eventually his parents came along and they continued they walk leaving us free to re hide the cache unseen.
Love the cache container
Thanks for the cache Robmc

Found with Rog and Diala, well Diala watched while we searched, as she has already logged this one!!
Bit of confusion as Rog and I both found a cache at the same time, but 2 of them, identical, thinks that this was logged as missing and replaced, or maybe the birds of a feather is the clue to there being two!!
Anyway, we signed the log and took an amusing photo, will either post up or just send to owner!!

Find #26 on a clean up Williamstown night run with my mate Marshy (Blacklegend17). I wasn't chicken so plucked up the courage to peck around GZ until the bird was in the hand.
Found with my good mate Marty Quasar3671 on our clean up Williamstown run. Quick find at night with no muggles around.
OK I am guilty of not logging caches over the last year or two. Due to 2 operations and rehab it has made it difficult to log caches even though I have been mostly chair bound sitting for short times has been difficult as well.
What I have done is create this log in an attempt to bring our found and DNF’s up to date so I can resume my normal habit of stories rather than a TNLN – TFTC.
Most of theses logs will not include the owners team name so I think it is appropriate to say a Big Thank the cache owners for their caches and some wonderful memories of caching adventures.
Also thanks to Team Crackers who have made our caching trips so much fun and their help in working out what caches we did and when.
Regards
Mr.Coffee and the “I promise I wont let this happen again after all these coffee’s er I mean caches are drunk er I mean logged” Coffee Clan.

We were out with Mr Coffee and the Coffee Clan on another of our Sunday suburban cache and lunch days. This one was much easier than your previous one we found. On a very overcast day there were no muggles around so we soon had the cache in hand.
Again great cammo!
Thanks again to Robmc for the cache.

Found during a quick cach trip around this area...one of the strange type of caches I have found, great area only forgot to bring a pen so had to walk back to the van to get one...thanks...
Ahhh, so that's what the title means.
Clever fun hide in the logical spot.
Nice to see you have a soft side as well Rob.
Signed log, and walked away chuckling.

I came here a few months ago but was unable to look due to a few muggles positioned close by. Today, after waiting for a jogger to pass by, the coast was clear and the cache was quickly located. Interesting camouflage - I'm not sure it would fool too many people rather than pique their interest. Thanks for the cache.
PS There is another cache with exactly the same name. I logged that one by mistake on the day, but now all is fixed.

Found on our caching day with Bushfire, Packetstorm 4 and Speedy Stamps. Loved the container
TFTC
While a lot of cachers are in Wagga Wagga for the mega event this weekend RHPS/ PacketStorm4/ Speedy Stamps and Bushfire decided to clean up some caches in Werribee, Altona and Williamstown today.
Sent one of the younger members of our joint caching team to retrieve this unusual container. Its good to see people coming up with novel ideas for containers. This was my 10th cache today and found at 14:20.
It is nice to find a Robmc cache that even Bushfire can work out, thanks.
Found whilst out for a day's caching with Bushfire, Packetstorm 4 and RHPS. A quick find was made. TFTC.
A heap of caches seems to have popped up in this region in the last few months, so I thought I'd make a start on them now that I'm residing down the road. This is a really nice lake, which adds greatly to the area. The track around it is shorter than it looks, which means two laps will be necessary if I'm to come here for a jog! On the cache, I very much liked the container! It was a quick find once I got to GZ. Thanks Rob.
Out and about with Sis today who lives in the area. Neither of us have been here so some time and we have noticed in the growth of the water rushes. So many people taking advantage of the lovely day and the facilities of the area. The carp are biting well and what a size they are.
The water level is up well probably due to the big rain that we have had lately.
Nice easy find and we both had a giggle at the choice of container.
Thanks for bringing us here

Found today as i was one my walk with my partner very easy to find but must have got wet when cherry lake flooded last weekend.
It was about time that 'The Quiet Plodder' (TQP) finally undertook, still early in his geocaching adventure, an Urban plod to find some caches in familiar Altona, despite not being a 'fan' of Urban plods. Alighting from the 903 Bus, I headed for Cherry Lake and my first 'Robmc' cache. Fortunately, despite the sunny and warm day, hardly another person was in sight, which enabled me to find this well hidden cache at leisure, helped by the subtle clue. It's one of the funniest caches I have found so far and very apt for its name. I certainly discovered information about Cherry Lake that I was not aware of thanks to the notes provided. I recall, as a youngster many decades ago, 'sailing' my model Boat on Cherry Lake when it was not as 'manicured' as it is nowadays. Thanks to 'Robmc' for this enjoyable cache. TNLN. TQP
Called in this morning on the way to work - 5:30am, still dark. On the whole ride I saw one muggle - standing on GZ!
Stopped on the way home and replaced the container, and put a new log in.
Happy hunting, Robmc.

Decided to go spend the morning caching ! Well a very busy day on the muggles front ! Missing out on some earlier caches due to high muggle activity !

Thank so much !

23-01 9th find of the day at 18:26 and 844th find in total.
This hide was probably Echo's favorite of the day.
You could probably hear the laughter from the other side of the lake.
It does still need a lid though.
(''\(OoO)/'') Thanks Robmc for the caching fun!

This was funny for a container.Nice hide great area. Nice day. What more can you ask for when caching.
Found while others in the group biked, or played in the playground. Very funny little cache. TFTC
An interesting bird, ready for the slaughter maybe. Another find at 4:00pm for the AWG mob (LZZ, Alsume, EuDes and ssmc4) although we appear to be calendrically challenged. Thx Robmc
Our fifth of the day wandering around Altona with LinearZZ, Eudes and ssmc4. Quickly found and enjoyed, but it may need a visit as the lid is gone. Hopefully we replaced it such that it won't get too wet if it rains.

Number 5 on our "Ambling Around Altona" caching expedition with 7 adults, 3 kids & 1 dog. EuDes did the honours and when he came up with the prize, we all laughed our heads off (and we weren't the only ones! ).
Nicely put together - many thanks to Robmc.

Continuing our New Year Altona caching picnic journey, this was next on the list. The spot on coordinates had us with the cache in hand quite quickly at 16:00. What a great container although the inner part has lost its lid (and so might have the outer part if it had one)!!
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Robmc.

Another unusual looking cache indeed, tried to get Junior Jackal to have photo taken with the interesting beast, but because it was not big enough to hold 'toys' to plunder he was not into it.... a lovely location and the dog loved the water. TFTC
636. A nice stroll and I located the cache, while Mrs.K. did her birdwatching, making of a good day for both of us. Thanks Robmc for making this place part of it.
Had to wait for a break in the cycling traffic this morning to retrieve the highly unusual container. Excellent. Thanks Robmc.
Great hide! Suspected that this was what we were looking for last time, but this time it is actually there to find! TNLN
Walked around from the car park on a damp misty morning. Soon found the very clever, but not so well disguised hide. I was first to sign the new log, and thought for a moment I might have a FTF, but of course it's just a new container.
Thanks for bringing me here.

We went and checked it, but the bird had flown the coup!
But we have the technology, we can rebuild!
A new cache is now in place.
Please check that it is reattached when you rehide it.
Thanks, Robmc.

Well Robmc, we did not have any luck with this one. We checked all around the area and found nothing. Either the bird has flown or it is a duck and it has paddled out into the lake for a while because we could not even find where it has been. Rang a local cacher for more info but still no go. It could be because of the copious quantities of amber fluid consumed earlier although that generally makes you see better doesn't!
We looked too, but no cigar.
I thought this one would be easy as most of this type are. If I interpreted the clue correctly, I suspect the cache is MIA.
Nice spot anyway - the kids had a good time hiding among the large stands of trees nearby.
Thanks Robmc

We had no luck on this one and after searching for 15 minutes, we gave up! Not sure if it is still there as the other logs indicate an easy hide?!
A great little hide. 4th find during a free afternoon in Melbourne. A few muggles around in the car park, but no where near where I needed to go. Fun cache container.
Thanks Robmc............
Thanks Robmc............
Found at 1030. Just as I got to GZ, a bloody council worker drove up and parked 5m away from GZ to inspect the waterway. Thinking that he was about to leave, he then let his two dogs out for a run. So after a 5-10 min wait, he finally left and I had the cache in hand in the only place to look.
Not sure the cache name really applies to this fellow, as I think he lost the last of his feathers a long time ago.
Nice area.
Thanks.

This was cache # 17 of 29 for the day, in the company of alansee on our clean up the western suburbs day. Not sure where the sun had gone, the wind had whipped up th waves on the lake and I had to hold on to my hat to stop it blowing away while we signed the log book. My thanks to Robmc for the cache.
A thankfully short walk to gz from the car park as the weather had turned cool and wet! Not sure how A2Y survived with only a T-shirt but who can explain youngsters these days! Cache was found easily thanks Robmc. Or was it a bird not of a feather?
Found by Mary & David at 0845. Most enjoyable cache with water, views and lots of pelicans. Loved the container too. Our thanks to Robmc.
This is one I can find!
Found on the way to music practise last night and didn't even need the GPS. Was thwarted for a few minutes by a couple of muggles passing by but otherwise straight forward.
Thanks Rob.

I was in the area on a work errand on this rainy morning and thought I would tackle this one.
It was so windy that the ducks were being blown ashore and the lake water looked particularly uninviting.
All was cosy at the cache hide though.
I was hoping to look for another nearby cache but 4 council workers spraying weeds would not let me into the area.
Thanks Robmc.

Just couldn't help thinking Rod Quantok might have been here.
