Cache location has proven too difficult to keep the water out.

29-Apr-12
The logbook for this one was saturated and needs replacing.

28-Apr-12
Nice quick find on a rainy Saturday morning - will have to come back to appreciate the views more. TFTC.

28-Apr-12
Out on a very wet day caching in the Bayside suburbs with the Captain of Terror..... I pulled up to GZ and jumped out... came around the car... Captain Terror already had the little fellow in his hand... might as well have stayed in the car and kept a little drier ;P

The cache was very hard to open but finally CT got there in the end.... but the log was not signable and needs replacing.

This cache seemed to be among a huge cleared out area, so out and about here today made the detour with Whint to sort it all out. A good fun road to drive down and soon found ourselves at the much heralded fence. It was pouring to rain so muggles were certainly not an issue. Out with umbrella up and I saw something sticking out of the ordinary so set over to check it out first and turned out to be the cache. I just couldn't open it. With much finger force and help from a shifter (no pliers in car) got the sucker cracked and open. unfortunately the cache was full of water and log unsignable. Replaced as found though and a great spot for a cache and a top hide too. TFTC Where are we Smile

03-Apr-12
Out and about today with Brother Colin.

I liked this one. There's nothing better than a cache hidden in plain sight Smile And it was a quick find. The log was soaked so we didn't unroll it to sign it. It needs replacing.

TFTC, Where are we. Pity we couldn't get to the water, as it looked very inviting Smile

03-Apr-12
Out and about this morning with IolantheK Smile

This was another of our stops for the morning. A quck find, nicely tucked away.

Cache it self is in good condition but the lob was soaked. We did not continue trying to unroll the log as it looked like it would fall apart if we did. Great hide though.

Thanks to owner for allowing the find after a quick email.
Great area and very clever cache
Happy caching

02-Jan-12

Great hide. Log was a little wet , dried out as best we could.

19-Oct-11
Took me 2 visits to locate it. This is my first ever FIND as getting into GEOCACHING.

15-Oct-11
Smile TFTC - SL - Very Clever. Good one. And what a view.

01-Oct-11
Ahh 3rd time lucky. Twas fun trying to sign the micro log but managed it. Breezy day so the water was much troubled. Pity we can not get closer to throw in a line. Tfth.

25-Sep-11
Dropped by on the MTB today to check on things and I can report the cache is in perfect condition and waiting to be found. No maintenance required.

22-Sep-11
Visited on 2 occassions. Did not find a cache but found instead a very mangled small metal "eclipse" container which may or may not be the cache. I will watch for owners post and return again. Yes, a lovely spot. Pity we were not closer to the water.

20-Jun-11
Performed a little cache maintenance today. New log installed and should be watertight this time.

17-Oct-10

15-Aug-10
This one is desperately in need of a new log scroll

15-Aug-10
Found on the second try after meeting Where are we in the bush at another local cache. Confirmed that I was on the right track and went back for another look. Obvious on the second try. One of those times when you ask yourself how on earth did I miss that! TFTC Where are we

This one took a little bit longer than expected. Searched the obvious areas - nothing. The GPSr ended up pointing me dead on GZ with this one - a clever little hide. As reported, the log is wet. Being a bit fickle about leaving a log - I wrote on a small bit of paper and wrapped it around the existing log. TFTC Where are we Smile

I attempted some maintenance on the log today but it soon became clear that replacing it will still result in water damage. One would think in this location it would remain dry but alas no. I'm having a rethink on how to keep the water out but in the meantime the cache will remain in place, you will know it when you have found it, you just won't be able to sign the original log.

20-Apr-10
Found by Mary & David at 1720. After all the rain today, it's a wonder the water isn't over the road. Beautiful silver and grey shades of light and shade at this time of day. The log is damp and beginning to break up at the outer end. Our thanks to Where Are We.

Easter Friday Caching - a bit of a tradition with our friends TheNanks. First find for the day after a great big brunch. Need to walk off those mocha hot cross buns somehow. Cool hide but it was wet - sopping wet!!! MrNanks put it on his hot car bonnet for a while in the sun whilst we all admired the view etc until we could at least write on it. Log needs replacing. Would love to live in one of the nearby houses with the lawns all the way to the water - what bliss. Perhaps except for the mozzies. Happy Caching Easter to you and thanks for the cache.

All 4 of THENANKS were out and about on our annual Easter caching run with our great mates the MadMyers. A big brunch had been enjoyed along with the traditional Easter treat hunt organised by the clever Mrs Mad. This was the first find for the day in what was a beautiful spot relatively close to home. The log book was saturated but we did our best to dry it while we chatted and admired the view of the dam,
Thanks from THENANKS for the cache. Big Grin

I didn't cross the fence but I did get a little cross with the fence. Cache log removed and returned without trouble.

We arrived, read the sign and wandered off. Spotted the cache, although we didn't know it, before the GPSr beeped.

Can't imagine how that was organised.

25-Oct-09
Cache easily spotted and found. Log book a little damp though.

By the way I am one of the chosen few, so I am allowed to cross the fence Big Grin

15-Oct-09
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 12 noon. We didn't cross the fence and we did find the cache and what a good one too. Nobody about today so no-one watching. TFTC

04-Oct-09
Spotted this one as I walked to zero metres. TN/LN/SL. Nice bit of sneakiness, this one [^].

20-Sep-09
Found after standing back and looking. People on the verandah in the house nearby were curious. Good hide Smile TFTC

06-Sep-09
I parked next to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Log was a little damp so I dried it out a bit on the dash while enjoying a drink. (NO.. Not alcohol) A muggle pulled up in a car and used his phone so I had to wait before returning the Cache to its hide. SL. Thanks again Where Are We.

19-Aug-09
I found a lovely view and a shady place to lean the pushbike when I arrived here this morning Big Grin
It didn't take too long to notice something that could only be a cache Razz
Nice one [^]
TFTC and excuse to ride to the end of the road Smile

14-Aug-09

A water view is always nice.

13-Aug-09
Well, I saw this one pop up on the Radar, so I bolted from Wink my job for an FTF . . .
Sadly I had to travel from Greenslopes today, so I was beaten by 30 minutes Sad
but the fun is in the hunt Big Grin,
thanks "Where Are We" for an interesting distraction at the end of the day.

I like a cache that has had some thought put into it.
Found as the sun was setting over the water at 5:13pm.
