Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

We are joining the list of sad faces on this one. I felt a little silly where I was looking in case someone walked by. Thankfully no one did as I don't quite know what excuse I would have used for being there. I kept thinking that people would think I'm in here to do a wee. My GZ was quite overgrown with fallen branches and the like so I was thrashing about trying to get access to where I thought I needed to look. I spent about 20 minutes looking before giving up. Just as I jumped back onto the path I could see three ladies coming my way. I was SO thankful they didn't pass 2 mins before. Thanks for the hunt.
I’ll have to come back another day. A lot of trampled ground didn’t help the search to much leaving me in circles
A log for my own benefit. Had to abandon search due to high number of muggles with dogs. It is a very good dog park so don't blame them!
Super quick tonight. It took 6 mins from when I got out of the car til I got back in it. Unable to sign the decaying log so took a photo of it on my hand. If the log gets replaced I will go back and sign it. On the 2 previous occasions I spent ages looking in that exact spot but unsuccessfully. Why was it so easy and I didn't have any more clues than before. Replaced cache as found. TFTC
Hitching a ride with Ms Maddy to Manly, Vegan Cachers and I stopped by to check this cache out. After a short search VC had the cache in hand. Thanks for the cache thefourbees.
Joint find with Team ARF.
I can't believe we missed this last time we were here.
The log needs replacing as it is soggy, falling apart & almost impossible to write on.
Made our marks & replaced as found.

After a bit of a scratch around came up with nothing we were debating our next move when a friendly local lady stopped for a chat.
End result of the chat is she doesn't believe anything would have survived the onslaught of Cyclone Debbie in March/April this year, which apparently sent copious amounts of water through he area???
Maybe another day!

I have had 2 looks now and come up empty handed. Made a PAF call to get a hint and still nothing. I think I will wait and see what activity happens before I go back again. I will watch this cache.

I don't know why I have taken so long to look for this one but I guess maybe I have been putting it off because of the D rating.
Well, it is now one of the closest unfound to home so this morning I decided to check it out.
Imagine my surprise when I spotted it after only a couple of minutes. It sure blends in well with its surroundings and obviously causes a lot of people to scratch their heads given how trampled the area around the tree is.

Came here briefly before and was at GZ but thought I'd leave it for another day when I had more time. Came back with reinforcements and found soon after! Tftc
Quick find here.. Checked logs and hints before I arrived due to difficult rating but turned out we didn't need them.. After finding cache it became clear that they weren't at all helpful for me, I couldn't figure out how they related! Guess that's why it's a high rating! Loved it, first of its kind I have found so gets a FP from me
Wow, that took some looking checked the logs and they all talked about digging, well that threw me off. In the end I found it without digging. One of the best cashes I've found in a while. Tftc!
Went back with Geowife after doing a PAF for extra hint and found it straight away. Very clever. Favourite point to follow.
Also had a little accident while unrolling log sheet. It ripped in half and is now two short lengths sorry Still room for more initials though.

No luck today. I searched for about half an hour until a Muggle put me off my game. Must be a real sneaky hide from reading the logs and starting to get a bit unloved. If anyone wants to message me a hint for this one then please do! I'll be back
Captain Terror had been to this one a few times before and he was determined to find it tonight.
I was following Captain Terror's lead on this one as he was fairly sure on what we were looking for.
We looked around and dug with our sticks. Finally, something popped up and made us smile.
Whooopeeee!
It actually didn't take us as long as we thought to find it and boy was Captain Terror glad to have found it.

9 October 2012 was my first DNF on this one. Really, it has been annoying me for almost 3 years? And I know I've DNF'd it more than once. At just over 10km from home, you'd think I'd have done something about it a bit sooner. Especially considering it's desirable D/T rating and old-ness of the date hidden.
Tonight I was on an unplanned and random geocaching trip out with Sezzz and we'd decided to head towards the city. Dare I try for this one again? Why not.. it seems most other folk manage to find it after a bit of a hunt. So, the GPSr lead us to the closest parking, even though I've always parked down the other end. The drive in took us by some massive houses and the two of us agreed smaller is better, and owning an expensive car that lives on the street instead of your double garage is simply mental.
With a torch and a phone light, we headed for the spot. I recognised GZ from memory before I'd even gotten the GPSr out of my pocket. The hint was revised and nothing given away in logs. Hunt, begin.
I managed to find most of the pokey things with my eye and some lantana with the back of my neck as we looked. Theories came and went and still no geocache. It really shouldn't be too hard, right?
Maybe 10 minutes later while poking about carefully near Sezzz's shoe something appeared, like a Rattata in long grass in Pokemon Gold. 'What is that!?' Oh goodness me, it is the geocache. And you know what, it was basically where I expected it to be and the type of container I'd been expecting.
Out onto the path, the logbook was signed, still all in good condition. Then, it was replaced, recovered and left as found. My, was I glad to finally have this beasty ticked off the map. Shall I also gloat about how I never needed a PAF and haven't had hints from previous finders? Oh, Perro Parque, no longer shall you be a dirty word in my mind. Thanks for this geocache Mortified and thefourbees

This was the next one on our map and I headed in for a look while geopartner rested in the geomobile.
After a while he came looking for me to see what I was up to.
I had been going round and round and round the structures here.
As he approached, I took a few seconds and the cache was in hand.
The log is nice and dry and I added my name to the list.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Mortified and thefourbees All good with this cache

Out for a day today picking up some solved puzzles and other higher difficulty caches along the way. I had visited this one on a previous occasion and had only the briefest of looks but with time limited with another engagement I didn't really give this anywhere near the attention it deserved. I noticed that there had been a few recent finds so with some time available today I headed off for another look. I proved successful today and with the existing log a useless lump, I returned to the car and replaced it with a new improvised log roll. TFTC.
So this adventure started a few weeks ago with Wombles and Co talking about doing her 25differentD/T challenge. 1/2 of Scattsmadhouse asked to come along for the day as well to pick up some caches. So this morning (early) we started our day, along with mumma (barbbowman).
Happy to say we completed the 25D/T's and were home just as the sun was starting to go down.
Spent way longer than needed searching for this cache. After a PAF we soon had it in hand. Logbook is too wet to sign or even remove from the container.

was a bit buried
I have a photo if required due to log book being unable to be signed

Bubba89 had been awesome enough to work out a list for me for the 25 D/T challenge so we planned a whole day out with an early start! The 4 of us (Bubba, Barbbowman, Ree of Scattsmadhouse and I) met up before the sun was up and set off for the day.
We spent more time looking for this one then we should have! After eventually PAF, I picked it up! I'd seen one of these before but I'm sure this one was a bit smaller.

A few weeks ago some fellow cacher friends were talking about doing 25 caches in a day to meet the needs for a challenge for one of the group. Finding an area with 25 unfound caches seemed like the biggest task but the list was soon compiled and the plan was in motion. Today we(myself, barbbowman, bubba and wombles and co) were all up and on the road before dawn , eager to find caches and help wombles get her 25 caches.
We spent far longer in the area than we should have and joined the many finders who seemed to have needed a PAF. like always it was found whilst the call was being made. TFTC

Out and about for a few hours with Brother Colin
This one gave us some trouble. We searched every inch of the area, and no find, so BC made a PAF, and they gave us precise details of where they left the cache. The cache was exactly as he said, but again was buried quite a lot. It blends in so very well too. TFTC, thefourbees.

Out and about today caching with IolantheK.
We are caching in this area because neither of us has found the caches around here.
Enjoying the travels around the area looking for the caches.
We phoned a friend for this one. It was not until we actually moved the cache did we spot it. So well camo ed.
Unfortunately the log book is very wet and fell apart when touched. Unable to sign, will need a new log book.
Thanks for the cache.

While in the area, stopped by to see if I would be lucky today.
Spotted the likely GZ but in the first about 10 minutes nothing came up, not even an idea of what & where this actually might be. Some earlier logs hinted on digging but, yeah, where? There are too many options for narrowing it down that way.
Well, there will be the day when I can dedicate proper time for this. Until then, TFTH Thefourbees!

[Pretty sure we found] tres arboles [but no cache to be found.] [The] Butterfly Green [(or 'green butterfly' I'm guessing if we assume the word order of spanish also applies here) had us stumped.]
[Left hurriedly when a muggle's dog barked at us.]

Ok we had to PAF (the caretaker) and discovered it was actually in a position that I would classify as impossible to find and certainly not the intention of the owner or caretaker. We have placed the cache in the same position but as we believe it is intended so all the DNF's before us now stand a proper chance of finding it :O) Now I know we weren't going insane but we have gained a great little dog park to take our geo pets now and then. TFTC (and the many hours here ;O) too).
For some reason this one has us stumped. We put the clues together but still can't find it. Today marks our third visit and still nothing. If anyone wants to be kind enough to give some more clues via direct message it would be so very appreciated. Thanks
I was nearby and was feeling pretty lucky so decided to have a shot at this difficult cache. I had the GZ all to myself which was a good start but I was worried about a micro in what initially seemed difficult terrain. I looked here and there for zip and was worried the cache had genuinely washed away or something, when I adjusted my position and shazam: there it is!
In hindsight, it doesn't seem so hard but I guess some experience was helpful. TFTC where all seems to be in good nick.

It was Geoson's suggestion that we give this one a try. He said it had several DNFs but was sure it was still there, just a very good hide. This was an area we had never been before but had regularly gone by on the nearby main road. After arriving at GZ we had a bit of a look around and then remembered something he had said that gave me an idea what to look for. We soon had it in hand and our name in the log. I would have to say this is one of the best disguised Caches I have come across to date. TFTC
At the insistence of Tiki 4 on the way home from soccer, we decided to give this one a try. Not really keen to look for this with a 6yr old with the high difficulty rating, but what the hey!
The logs didn't give much clue (well done, loggers!), so it was up to us to just give it a jolly good go ... cache in hand in a much shorter time than I ever anticipated! Really enjoyed the cache, as did a typical 6 yr old boy! TFTC!

Once I had spent a little time searching for the cache (without success) I decided to check the cache note. NO NO NO a MORTIFIED creation. Help me dear ….
So I dug deep, then I tried a PAF, even with vital information I was still struggling. PAF V2 and the cache came to light.

I was out for lunch today so stopped by here. I was hoping to tick off a day in the calendar plus a box in the D/Tgrid... Just one problem, you need to find the cache . I was having a reasonable look where others have been before me... Then some muggle dog owners arrived and I felt a bit weird in the work garb there so moved on. Must come back another day.

Earlier this morning I was out chasing some Cache with Ms Maddy and it was mentioned about this little cache sitting here unloved (well not really it had heaps of attention I think) for nearly two years.
So this afternoon we decided we would attack and see what we may be able to find with a really good search. It turned out to be something more like a little challenge, but of course the afternoon was good for it, as the rain was around there was but a few people in the near by doggy park.
Well it did not take long before we were both down on hands and knees going through the leaves the bushes and the under growth. It was well wet and dirty and well just now as I write this still just pulled a cobblers peg out of my hair.
Anyway the search was not going well, there was what seemed to be a couple of potential points for the hint, but one of the options really stood out. But continual investigation was not turning up anything much.
It was decided that we would make the call to a PAF and had a little bit of a chat, their find was some years ago so it was just talking it over that a little tiny bit caught Ms MAddy's attention and soon enough she had something cache like in her hand. The thank-you's and Good byes were shared with the PAF and then a cache extraction tool was fetched the log signed and we breathed a heavy sigh of relieve.
TFTC, it took a decent effort to find.

Home, dry, warm, with a glass of red in hand, I barely have the energy to log this cache.
What can I say... WOOHOO!!!!!!
My first trip to GZ was with Captain Terror on a rainy night and despite a thorough search, we did not find the cache. A couple of times since, I have swung past on foot or bike and dived into the scrub. Without success, alas My hunts for this cache have usually involved rain... hmmm.
This morning I joined OrionJ, Pauldp72 and Hot Wheels Duo for an outing and breakfast in Cleveland. My parting words were, "Call me if you want to look for Perro Parque later." Obviously, OrionJ does not shy from a challenge as around 2pm he sent an SMS to say he was on the way to GZ! By then I had indulged in a hot shower, washed my knotty hair and put on warm, dry clothes.
Ah.. On with the hoody and boots and Sooty and I rolled out of the garage...
At GZ, we looked at the hint and discussed the most likely spot to search which was in the vicinity of the coords. We pulled on gloves and searched everything thoroughly (and some) and even used the super torch to peer into the shadows. Nothing emerged from the undergrowth.
After 30 minutes or so we decided to look over the logs but, alas, this cache hasn't been found for two years I made an executive decision that we should call Crew 153 and OrionJ hit the speeddial. As they chatted on speaker and Crew 153 said the magic words, I started to dig (as in 'dig') with a stick where I'd searched on every occasion and we both searched today, and thinking I was prising a pebble free, came up with the cache
Thanks to Max for pointing us in the right direction, which is exactly where we thought the cache would be and where I had been hunting for it all along. Happy that OrionJ could share the occasion and the find! We put in a solid effort and well deserve this smilie!
I scurried over to Sooty to collect an extraction tool and we signed the log... YIPPEEEEEEE!!!
So glad this one is logged
It was half buried, and we did scrape some mud off it. Then on we rolled...
TFTC thefourbees, neat hide, happy

Back again, this time in the sunlight, on my own...
Found a bike helmet at GZ (and a wad of used tissues) as though someone had taken it off whilst searching. No one has logged this though, since I was here in the dark and rain with the cap'n recently.
Had a good look around and did not come up with the cache.
The clues make sense, but it doesn't want to be found. Is it still there???
ps: the bike helmet is hanging over the nearby sign on the path.

I see the cache owner has checked on this one numerous times in recent days. However, Ms Maddy and I were in the area tonight (1 Mar) and with 2 torches and about half an hour, found no trace of the cache. The hints certainly point to a obvious spot that the GPSr agrees with and both of us have found Butterfly Green. This cache has not been found since mid-2011. I ask that the cache owner doubly check the cache is in the right spot and add either an extra hint or increase the difficulty as all hints I've received from previous finders do not lead to the cache. I have trouble believing it is truly there.
I had pulled up at and made my way halfway to this one before I read previous logs and saw it may not be there. Despite many muggles within the fence, none were around GZ area, so I was clear to look. The two hints made sense to me.. well sort of. My Spanish ain't great, but I made a good guess and it turns out to be correct. The second hint only makes sense as I've found that cache too. So with a good idea what I was looking for I set to work. But after about 15 minutes poking about, spotted no cache. If it's there it is hidden mighty well for what I was expecting. Maybe next time..
Had yet another look for this one and still can't find it in spite of having a pretty good idea of what both hints meant. Will have to wait until someone else manages to find it.
First time geocachers, found three trees(?) but the other hint is very cryptic! We will be back.
Visiting from Canada. Tried to find with a friend who lives close by. No luck. Queensland 1 Canada 0
Cache was still there just a bit hard to find. But does need a new log so back on line soon.
Noone around, so we had a good chance to have a good look but came up with nothing! Saw the previous DNF's but thought that was nothing unusual for this cache. Hmmmm might wait and see if anyone else finds it before going back to look again
Went for a second look for this one after discovering what Butterfly Green meant. Still no luck unfortunately. I suspect it's either been muggled (unlikely if my suspicions re the cache are correct) or leaf litter etc has covered it since it was last found. Hope someone else has better luck.
Looked for half an hour with 6 people... No joy! Definitely comming back to this one! Won't be able to sleep till I find it!
Noone about this morning and we walked straight up to it! That doesn't usually happen with mortified caches. Now we know what to look for for that other one! Thanks mortified and thefourbees
After a quick hunt around GZ according to my GPS is resorted to the clue and the cache was in hand in no time. Very clever TFTC
Having found the other Mortified cache (Eventually !!), I knew what I was looking for, found in a mere 3 mins, nicely hidden.
Also, this is the fourth one of these I have now found, all in "pet" places too, seems a theme is happening across Australia for these.
Thanks for the fun.

I had a fair idea of what I was looking for but at GZ there was so much growth and leaves plus someone has dumped a heap of garden waste so it's not a pleasant spot. As it hasn't been found since August last year I'd think that it could be well buried if it is in a lower position. Would like confirmation it's there before I return.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Searched for about 90 minutes on a sunny day looking for it. The clues and recent logs only confused us more... But this was my first cache finding attempt ever. I probably could have chosen an easier one.
Well we are pleased to be able to tick this one off the list. We were out on a beautiful winter's day on a caching run and initially thought we would be calling a DNF. We had looked at the clues which were of no help to us and just as we were about to call it quits, Mr JAT came across something you usually would rather not, but in this case, it was the prize we had been searching for. TFTC Mortified
Hmm they say failing light is not a cacher's friend.. I could not see clearly when I had the cache in my hot little hand - probably why I managed to get this one at all. TFTC!
Firstly Good on you Fourbees for taking over so many of Mortified's caches - greatly appreciated by everyone I am sure! MrMad found this one - though we struggled a little getting the log out - but we finally had success on our Good Friday caching day! What fun - thanks for the cache.
All 4 of THENANKS were out and about on our annual Easter caching run with our great mates the MadMyers. A big brunch had been enjoyed along with the traditional Easter treat hunt organised by the clever Mrs Mad. This was the fourth find for the day and thankfully a nice quick one too! My Spanish is better than I thought. The log book was doing its best to stay nestled in the cache but determination paid off and we wrote our caching names on the growing list.
Thanks from THENANKS for the cache.

After reviewing the previous logs I was a bit wary about looking for this one but I applied the hint and had the cache within seconds (Not like its cousin over the motorway.)
I also saw the trail into the bush but luckily I did not follow it.
Covered it lightly before I left.

we looked looked everywhere but nothing micro... grr grr 2 times.... grr grr!!!!!!! try other time..............
Thurd time lucky. After reading gunnie's log we decided to have another go. So after the rain we set off - log extraction tools at the ready. At GZ, there were plenty of doggies in the near by enclosure but fortunately up the other end. We stood and looked and looked from the path way. We took a 1m step and looked and looked. We then spied it. Yippee!!
TFTC (and the boost of confidence).

I have a very good friend who lives in Spain. That had absolutely no influence on this cache though, just thought I'd mention it...
I arrived at GZ and spotted a number of tracks leading into the trees.. Mmm, I wonder which one might be the best approach I thought... [?] Instead of racing in I walked around for a minutes of so to let the GPS make it's mind up where it wanted to take me... Once settled, it took me to within 1m of GZ and I barely left the path...
Having found the mimicking cache close to my home GZ, I knew exactly what I was after and had it in hand nice and quickly. It was burried under quite a bit of leaf litter so I thinned it out a little. Still has some surrounding camo though...
Cheers Mortified.

We arrived after dark and after a short search decided that a micro or nano would be much easier to find in the daylight.
Till next time.
Till next time.
DNF today. Found GZ but no cache, but 1 place that could have held a cache.
Vine en bicicleta
OK!! Nuff of that.... there was a lack of perros and perro owners in the parque, so I had an uninterrupted poke around for the cache
A full can of fizzy later and I thought I had found the cache, but I hadn't [:o]
Another 15 minutes of more poking and there was the real cache in the obvious spot
TFTC.

Thanks for the hints. I needed 'em. All that money on trips to Central and South America paid off. My fractured latin Spanish coped with the first one and I've found the second one. Still spent quite a deal of time at GZ though. TN/LN/SL and put it back as and where I found it . Think I'll get some stickers made. How about, "I hate mortified micros"?
Stopped in this morning for a quick look while on my way west.
Some days you can be lucky.
Nabbed the little beauty quite quickly.
