I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi GYARGH

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Regards

Need archiving apparently

After a dinner with my work colleagues, and since it was still light at 9:30pm, and since I am literally staying across the road, I thought I'd come take a look. The garden at the coords looks very new and the recent logs pretty dismal, so after a bit of a look, I reckon it's gone.

12-Jan-21
Have a look little but everywhere. But not find. Still good to see this tower.

02-Dec-20
I've found 38 Gyargh caches according to GSAK, but none since 2010, so it would have been good to find this one. Sadly, after a decent search, it was time to move on.

02-Dec-20
While doing the Queens Park Adventure lab, we stopped to look for this cache, excited that it was an unfound Gyargh cache! But sadly no luck for us and we had to abandon the search and look for shelter when the rain came pouring down.

Quick find, tftc Smile

No luck

15-Jun-20
Cache 74 quick easy find on the way to work, garden must have been redone since this was originally put out as the hint is no longer relevant, log is dry. Just enough space for a Little Rock big to be added to cache T4TC

Lovely tower. Cheers.

19-Mar-20
Staying 100m across the road so we had to pop across and make a quick find of this cache. What a beautiful building!

19-Mar-20
What a shame we can't climb the tower anymore. Such a beautiful building to be condemned. This is my furthest south cache ever today. Tftc

23-Feb-20
Out and about caching before darkness sets in. TFTFun

23-Feb-20
We are continuing our caching journey with AF-Bee, GeoWench78 and 6ftzp&1/2zip. After settling to our hotel across the street we thought we would go out and grab a few caches. It was still light after all and we would be leaving for Queenstown early in the morning. Cache was a little off cords for us, so took a bit of hunting. Thanks Gyargh,Mum & Muggle-ish Mark for the cache.

23-Feb-20
Found with AF BEE, 6ftzpr&1/2zip, and ondago while on a geocaching vacation. Thanks for placing this cache.

20-Oct-19
Dunedin, Timaru, Invercargill caching trip for 3 days with rustynz and Rebel98. This trip involves a very long mission to obtain as many as we can of the new Tuia Mātauranga GeoTour series. We started in Auckland some time ago and intend to finish the series sometime this year. Only 100 caches to get for the souvenir… lol. We do have other caches on the horizon and we’re trying to get as many of those caches as well.

We were attracted by the awesome large, old building when we came here. We parked up and started a search, we soon realised the hint means nothing anymore due to the changes in the area. nevertheless I found the cache up against the block wall for those who are still interested in finding this, the C.O has not cached for 8 years, so obviously long gone and has no interest in maintaining this.

20-Oct-19
On a caching adventure with some Westies (rustynz, rebel98 and gorby) to Otago and Southland, on a long weekend of caching fun Big Grin

We spotted this building on the way to our accommodation, and decided we should park and have a closer look.

Now the building looks impressive up close, and sadly now an earthquake risk, so visitors are no longer able to climb to the top.

So here we are making a circuit of the building, as the GPS is really struggling. Then when we got to the gardens, we could see how the area had been modified. It was gorby who found the cache, I think he used satellite view, and with a little bit of digging he found the cache. It had nothing to do with the light, a bit of a red herring me thinks.

Anyhow happy to be signing the log, thanks for bringing us here Gyargh, Mum & Muggle-ish Mark

14-Sep-19
Got it! It's probably easier to find now that the trees are gone

05-Sep-19
Found in about five minutes with duderino64 and gaoliya. Despite the last person's log, we found it right at GZ, not near any spotlight. Cache was still hidden pretty well, still at ground level. Log was in good condition. Tftc! Aloha from Oahu.

05-Sep-19
It seems like this one has been moving around a bit since the area around it has been remodeled, but it should now be back closer to its original location as moyifei said. Was able to find it in the dark. Tftc!

29-Aug-19
Found very lucky because the trees that guarded it were cut down. The cache was half buried in a place with no reference point. To the owner's attention: I placed it near the nearest spotlight, near the power cords. Thanks for the cache. Greetings from Portugal.

Had an evening free, so revisited this awesome feature that I didn't realise there was a cache because my phone battery was very low during my last visit. Easily found with the help of good coordinates. Intially walked into the thick of the trees, only to realise it wasn't really necessary. TFTC, greetings from Auckland.

We found this geocache while travelling in this wonderful country. We left the Catlins today and drove to Riverton. I wanted to do two quick stops: one at the end of the SH1 and one on Bluff Hill for this cache and the view. I was happy to catch another old one. After Bluff Hill our roadtrip went on to Invercargill. Overthere we spotted the water tower and took the stash. Thanks for both caches!

A really impressive water tower- nice! Unfortunately it was closed today - maybe we can come back tomorrow afternoon.
Looking for the cache the GPS first sent us to an ‚entrance‘ that seemed to be used as dump-place, no fun to search. But then we found it, on the outside, on a clean place Smile
Thanks for the cache and best wishes from Germany

After a few days of very intense work activities, I had one last full day free in Invercargill before I head back home to Nelson tomorrow. I headed off early for a full day out caching to see how many caches I could find. The weather was threatening but apart from a cold wind and occasional drizzle it really wasn't too bad. I made hard work of this one. Overshot GZ by a few metres and that put me off. Once I'd given up searching all the wrong spots I spotted the right spot. TFTC, Biggles.
