Couldn't find it. It is a council maintained park so maybe the gardeners removed it.
DNF wasn't anything matching description. Seems council did some cleanup.
Had a careful uninterrupted look but the shrubbery has been pruned and so has the cache it appears.
Cache is missing, looks like there has been some work at GZ which has resulted in the cache going AWOL
Recent signs of gardening activity searched in all the obvious places but to no avail
The coords, point me to the center of the litle park.
Searched every rock and got nothing....
Couldn't found any cache in this city!!!
Regards and greetings from Portugal.

2.10pm - Real misreable day but found this one ok after having to wait for an old lady to disappear TFTC
Had to bugger off and return 15 minutes later after hippies had finished frolicking in the GZ
This one was proving tricky with the number of possibles and the odd muggle but by strategically and repeated losing our frisbee in the bushes we managed to have a good search over a little while and did eventually find the cache and sneak it back without being spotted. Feels awfully exposed with the houses right opposite ! (find: Munro, again - 3rd one today on his 1st day caching)
Travelling from the 10 Year Rotorua event to the 10 Year Auckland event, picking up a few quick caches along the way. This was a reasonably quick find in a lovely setting.

GPSr put us inbetween 2 possible GZs, unfortunately we picked the wrong one first, however still a quick find. On road trip to Rotorua 10th Anniversay event with daughter & UGTME. TFTC
A quick easy find while on a trip with BGA2009. Nice place to stop and stretch the legs for a few minutes.
Nice park and kids ran around after a look around in area of GZ. Added interest was that we "lost" a bag of travel food. No idea how, but no lolly pops as treats afterwards. never mind, fun stop!
Had to wait for while to let the GPS settle down. There are more parks in Matamata than you think!! TFTC
Found'ers it in Founders park. Nice spot, a little early for lunch so we moved on. TFTC
First find of the day with McFly, AJ and their family on a lovely day that hinted at rain. Mommy was at the chiropractor so we had time to go caching! Lovely tree with huge flowers on it nearby - we loved the area for picture taking also. TFTH, TFTC
Quick find after waiting out the muggles in the car staring at us. Good to see another cache in this spot.
Was heading down to Turangi to do the Tongoriro crossing and introducing "GeoCarlos" to geocaching. This was his second geocache and I think he is hooked. TFTC
Nice easy cahe in a really nice spot. The junior cacher with me found the water and wetting much more interesting. Thanks for showing us a cool spot. TFTC
GPS seemed to go a bit wild but settled down and made it an easier find. Been here before looking for another cache once. Covered the cache a little when replaced it. TFTC
6.35pm. An easy find on a pleasant evening. Remember finding the earlier cache here quite some time back.
Thank you. David and Noeline.

An easy find on a Sunday morning in Matamata. Took the 'Peace' TB. Log book is becoming damp. TFTC.
Peace Travel Bug ... Found 31st Jan 2010 in Matamata, at GC1ZZVJ; "Founders Cache (Waikato)".
Called by with Sp8s on our way south. Remember the other cache here, and got temporarily fooled, but eventually we found it, in spite of differing GZs from our combined units. TFTC
found floating in the water.. so contents are wet and it need drying out,, log book ok. a camo/- paint job or bag or even a bread bag makes wonderful cover for the caches....
All quiet today so quick find.
Gardens look as if they have been recently done.

Second time lucky. Got caught out on attempt number one with a pre-determined mindset about where it would be hidden.
Nicely done in a lovely little park.
Many thanks

1.59pm. Had to abort the first look as a muggle was using the seat close by.
Shot down the road but DNF'd that cache and when we came back the place was all ours.

Mr B missed this one by //this much// yesterday, but with Mrs B in tow today, pulled it from the fire. TFTC.
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 707. Thanks.
Xmas parade today at Matamata so migh muggle population especially the yound girl hanging around the park but we got there in the end. Started looking under the wrong bush then spotted it under the other side. Nice park and good hide. Now off to see Santa.- TB + Zoo guitar pick.
Nice little place! Unfortunatly there have been some very drunken teenage muggles around when I was looking for the first time. But later on it started raining and that brought them back in the houses and gave me the chance to grab the cache!
8/11/2009 16:48 It is always amazing how you can miss a cache simply by being on the wrong side of an object. Walked away to one of the strategically placed seats to ponder the location. Looking at the compass needle gave me the required inspiration. This seems to be a popular cache today! TFTC.

Nice spot for a cache... grabbed it from under the noses of unsuspecting nearby muggles.

It was pouring with rain so no on e about in the park. Wet through and had to ph a friend. When found I was about 10metres away from my GZ. TFTC
Major deja vu at this cache. My very first DNF back in 2004 was recorded trying to find the previous cache that was located by this water feature. Not sure what I did wrong today.
Not sure what happened here, but co-ordinates left me in the middle of nowhere. Maybe it was the tree cover and as travelling moved on quickly.

quick find once the 2 muggles left the search zone.

Nice and easy this time. No one around in the rain. TFTC Did not check co-ords just went to were I thought it should be.

Second fail for the night again with quinella and my helpers looked at all the obvious spots that match the hint. The co-ords seem to be out on edge of road so not sure what going on.
